Mezemiso in Lambeth

It’s my anniversary tonight Wasila here made it one of the most amazing experience. The food is absolutely amazing. Brilliant and it’s been a wonderful night. I would literally give this 10 out of 10 for everything. Would really recommend to come visit the food is on point. As well as the service.

I had a great experience at Mezemiso restaurant. The food was delicious, and the presentation was really nice. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They were also good at recommending dishes and drinks. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely come back again!

We were so disappointed with Mezemiso, the food was very bland. The noise from the DJ and drummer was so loud it was difficult to hear even those sat at the same table , this also impacted the service as the waiters couldn’t hear and we struggled to hear what they were trying to explain. The service was also extremely slow and then we had to pay a service charge for service that was really poor. It was really cold in the restaurant as well due to air conditioning under our seats being on full blast. The dress code is smart elegant although most people in jeans and trainers. Waiters taking Shisha pipes to the terrace had them in their mouths before taking them out to customers not very hygienic. Overall not a great experience

A good place to have your drink spiked. Avoid this place. The food was good. The service was poor. The place is clean but you di not care when your drinks are spiked and you are throwing out.

On Friday, 05/07/24, my dear friend and I had dinner at Mesomizo restaurant. When we arrived, the manager told us there was a minimum spend of 75 pounds per person. I kindly replied that it was not written anywhere when I booked, and no one told me that in advance, so of course, I do not agree.  The second problem is with the service charge. Attached is the dinner receipt and my payment (my friend paid the same amount). As per the menu, the service charge is discretionary, but the manager insisted that we pay it because the service charge belongs to the premises. I refused to pay more than once because I was thinking of tipping the guys, but the manager insisted that we pay for it. He also emphasised that he offered me a birthday dessert. I have not asked for it, so whenever something is received for free, it should not be used to blackmail a customer emotionally. He offered alone to do that. I explained that he couldn't force us and that my friend and I were pretty annoyed. A rude behaviour. Despite this, they did not remove the charge, we paid, and we left really annoyed. So, I asked for another manager, and I was introduced to Mohamad. Still, he did not offer anything to solve the problem. This situatikon is a joke, frustratiung and so annyoing. And on Friday it was my birthday. Not a pleasant one.

I called to make a reservation and a man told me straight up he doesn’t care. I called again and a women was telling me something about Manchester. If they were busy, they had a lot of time to be rude. A simple, sorry call again later would have been better.

This is a lovely place in terms of location, vybes, views and atmosphere. However, we paid £65pp for our set menu meal for friends birthday and honestly it was not worth it whatsoever. I had a bite of the food and felt so disgusted, then i put my flash on and couldn't eat anymore. The waitress came over to ask how it is and i told her my honest opinion that i cant eat it, she didnt even offer an alternative. Then dessert comes and i have had a fair few baklavas in my life; this was the worst ever and tasted like pure sugar syrup. Such a big waste of money, i dont know if it was just the set menu or if other food was better, but my friends ordered a different meal to mine and didn't like it either, everyone hated their food and funniest thing is that the dish we selected was recommended by the waitress. The flies flying around the table topped it off too.

The value of this place entirely rests in its location and view. The service was subpar, at best. The food is incredibly overpriced. You could throw a stone in any direction in London and hit a shop that serves better shawarma at 1/10 the price. Our server was pushy and generally unprofessional. He seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Every dish we ordered was incredibly mediocre. The meat was overcooked, dry, and flavorless. I had read previous reviews about the meat being overcooked and flavorless but hoped they were isolated experiences. Unfortunately, they weren’t. I wish I would have listened to the reviews. Our drinks weren’t any better than anything you can find at a cheap chain or dive bar. The presentation of our drinks was very nice—but unfortunately that was the extent of their value. Which perfectly represents this place. It’s completely one dimensional. Nice views but no substance. We’re irritated that we wasted a meal on this place, not to mention the 200 pounds for what should have been a $60 meal.

Very delicious food with extremely friendly staff who are always two steps away and always happy to help. It's stunning restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. Thank you all.

We went there for shisha, food and drinks on 18/11/2023 and got charged The view was very nice so was the food and shisha. However when we asked for the bill and tried to pay their machine didn’t work and we had to try 3 different cards only for the payment to go through the third one. Definitely not an issue with any of the cards because in 5 min we get notified that all of them have gone through. They said the payment wouldn’t be taken as it’s a duplicate one. 72 hours later we call them again saying there are duplicate payments, no one even bothers to take our details and say it would automatically be refunded. Here I am 10 days later, after calling them 3 more times only to know the manager is off today and they will pass my details to them. Still nobody is asking me about the amount of the bill or any details at all other than my name ? Thought it would have been easier to speak to someone and get it sorted as these things could happen rather than putting a review or raising a dispute with the bank If someone from the team would like to help the details are as follows: Amount paid £200.25 (thrice from 3 cards and all gone through) declined receipts in attachment. This place is horrible and should be avoided at all costs. I came here on 18 August 2023 with a couple/family visiting from out of town. They reserved an outdoor terrace table. When we arrived, as I now see other reviews have mentioned, we were told those seats were for Shisha customers only. As we were there for a meal, we had to be moved inside. The music we so loud it was extremely unpleasant and truly impossible to have a conversation. We are not an old crowd, there were 4 of us, all in our late 20s. We nicely asked if the music could be lowered, they said no. We politely said we were going to leave because we were hoping to catch up over a meal and that was not possible in this environment. I have been to clubs with lower music volumes. We were told we would be charged a "no-show" fee (£25/person) by OpenTable because we didn't have our meal. We asked if they could please check us in, as we were standing right there, and they said they had but that their hands were tied. We asked if we could get drinks, thereby becoming paying customers, to avoid this trouble of a possible no-show fee, they said no. My partner (English) spoke to someone, called Malik, privately, as the rest of us are not British and I was worried we were being discriminated against on that basis. Malik was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. He insisted we would be charged and refused to try and work with us at all. We reported this to OpenTable, they asked us why we did not show up, and we explained the scenario. They were very understanding and said that unfortunately the restaurant marked us as a 'no show'. They said they would speak to the restaurant about erroneously marking guests as no-shows but were unable to do anything about the fee. In the end we were left with a £100 fee and a horrible experience. In my 5 years in London, and in all my life, I have truly never experienced a less inviting restaurant or worse customer service. If you value your time, money, or hearing, I would strongly suggest staying as far away as possible from Mezemiso.

The ambiance is very nice but they tried to rip me off. Over the course of my stay, I ordered three Johnny Walkers Black Labels at £14 and was charged for 2 Johnny Walker Platinum Label at £26 and one Blue Label at £52. Scam!

Booked this restaurant as a special 50th birthday treat for my wife booking an outside rooftop table. On arrival we were told that we could only sit outside if we smoked shisha which we don’t. We were given an inside table where there was no air and it was too hot. This is not a rooftop restaurant experience. To make matters worse there was only 1 couple sat outside whilst we were there with plenty of spare tables, it was a Thursday evening. The starter arrived after only 5 minutes of arrival as we had booked the £65 a head set meal in advance, this was all too rushed for a special occasion meal. As it was too hot we stopped and left half way through the main course and will not be going back. The waiters were nice though but were unable to help as the management were completely inflexible.

A fabulous location and London views with excellent Lebanese food & excellent service by Nabil and his team. The set menu sharing was delicious.

Request to seat outside for dinner and shisha, after eating our dinner, decided to have the shisha, 15 minutes after starting the shisha they asked us to leave as we were only allowed a 2 hour slot which we were not aware of. Bear in mind we had starters and dinner which took time to come. Manager was very rude about it and did not try to compromise after spending £48 on the shisha only used it for 10 minutes. Service was slow, food took long to come. Food was okay, not the best. Everything is over priced with small portions… sofa dinks bottles are £5 which the bottles are so small, literally is half in a glass. Belly dancer entertainment literally lasted for 3 minutes. Will not be going there anymore

We had a wonderful evening for a birthday dinner in January. Hamdy the restaurant manager made our evening memorable and set up the table with flower petals and a card for the birthday meal. The quality of the food is very high and the service of all the staff is excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you want a special night out.

Really delicious food, had 3 starters and 2 main courses plus a side. The customer service is lovely and the view is amazing.

Mezemiso Rooftop Restaurant is a hidden gem located on the rooftop of a building in the city. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic, with a beautiful view of the skyline. We dined at Mezemiso 27/09/2019 and it has got to be the worst food we have tasted. The starters were too salty and the lamb cutlets were simply boiled in water with some vine leaves and lacked any flavour. It was a very disappointing experience.
