Hugely overcooked and stone cold. They should pay you to stomach this wretched product. A huge disappointment after a surprisingly massive wait for delivery (1.5 hrs)

Literalmente, acabo de salir del restaurante y debo decir que estoy muy decepcionado. El servicio fue realmente malo y pedí el pescado del día y estaba seco y frío. Fue mi primera vez y no volveré.

El restaurante fue recomendado en el último número de tiempo fuera, así que fuimos a verlo. El servicio era bueno y rápido pero decepcionado por la comida en sí. Pedimos una variedad de entrantes tradicionales libaneses. La ensalada de Fatoush tenía demasiado aderezo y le faltaba esa pizca de zumaque para darle una patada. El kibbeh ha sido amigo del aceite caliente, haciéndolos oscuros por fuera, pero el relleno interior estaba frío, ni siquiera cálido. El falafel carecía de condimento y se servía con un poco de salsa de tahini y nada más para mojar. Pedimos la salsa picante tradicional pero obtuvimos algo que parecía de un frasco nada fresco y chispeante. Tuvimos que devolver las alitas de pollo ya que no eran comestibles. No fuimos los únicos en devolver la comida esa noche, la mesa de al lado nos devolvió las gambas. Los malos medammes fueron lo más destacado de la noche y estaban buenísimos. También vale la pena mencionar el Houmus con cordero. Lamentablemente, el logro del pan de pita no era fresco y se había calentado en el microondas. Mi compañero estaba enfermo cuando regresamos a casa, ya que el sabor de las alitas de pollo permanecía en su boca. Un letrero en la puerta dice que no aceptan tarjetas, por lo que la gente tuvo que irse para sacar dinero en efectivo. No creo que volveremos a ir más bien para hacer el viaje al centro de Londres.

Gran selección de pequeños platos fríos y calientes. Decidió contra un plato principal debido a una mala selección de platos vegetarianos, por lo que seleccionó 5 platos de inicio. No me decepcionó. Muy agradable. Definitivamente regresaremos.

Los entrantes son muy buenos, pero los platos principales son muy pobres, muy insípidos y sin sabor. Muy caro para la calidad de la comida. El kafta de pollo no era para nada bueno. La salsa de ajo no tenía suficiente ajo. El servicio fue bueno.

Situated on Mitcham Road - make sure you try it if you like Lebanese cooking. We had a table booked and were served swiftly by a friendly and welcoming waitress. There is a great choice of dishes both hot and cold starters and hot main courses. We mixed up a variety and had a feast. All very tasty with generous portions. Price was very reasonable. Will go back as there are lots more dishes to sample

The food here is nice there’s options for vegetarian and meat eaters, the feta salad is very nice and I enjoyed the falafel with the hummus. The only annoying thing is that they only take cash , it’s difficult if you don’t know what or how much you’re ordering to know what cash to take out beforehand and we only realised once we had got to the restaurant. But nice food and service

Poco distante dalla stazione di Tooting Broadway della Northern Line, questo piccolo locale serve cucina libanese con diversi piatti senza eccedere. Ambiente informale e un po’ soffocato. La moutabal che ho preso e che non avevo mai provato prima era decisamente buona. In pratica è una specie di hummus ma di melanzane. Normale e molto asciutto il pollo marinato e cotto alla griglia. Niente di che. Prezzi medi. Dolcetto di mandorle in omaggio molto gradito.

Great food and good portions. They even threw in free pitta bread and dessert! A bit more expensive than others but the tender meat and great flavours are really worth it! 5*

I have been to meza many times and love both the Mitcham Road and Tooting Bec venue. The food is amazing as is the service. Unfortunately I was very disappointed by the delivery...the food would have been as good as ever..but was all cold. I’ll go back to the restaurants but won’t order in again.

I was disappointed with the Lahem Meshwieh, The meat was tough and dry. The moutabal, was lovely and the bread was good.

Meza has been great for years now but I'd never ordered to take away before. I managed to mess up my order but they couldn't have been more accommodating. The best anywhere.

Food took over an hour and a half to arrive, and was cold when it did finally arrive. The quality of the food wasn't bad although having ordered 3 dip type dishes, only getting 3 cold pitta breads seemed a bit mean. Not terrible but I won't be ordering from here again.

Have you ever had one of those dreams...? The one where you see yourself surrounded by an array of food, a table laden with exotic and colourful dishes, salivation an instant reaction. Well...? Welcome to Meza. A small but mighty restaurant specialising in Lebanese cuisine. My first impressions were not one of overwhelmment but very low-key vibes. However, I was taken aback when the food was presented. A feast, oh yes, one cannot be mistaken. Every sense of the word was justified! The aromas filled my nostrils with the most alluring smells captured in an instant and the vibrant colours took me to a place of wonderment. Since I was in a large group, naturally we decided to go for their set menu. To start off the experience we were presented with a selection of their hot and cold mezas. One being vine leaves stuffed with spiced rice or better known in the Arab world as Wara' Einab - sharpness from the pomegranate molasses glazing the tops of these little parcels, sweetness from the stuffing itself and 'earthiness' emanating from the wilted leaves; an all round package of perfection. Moving onto a favourite of mine and a staple in Middle Eastern cuisine is Hummus - chickpea heaven; smooth and punchy flavours from the garlic and lemon, flavours that marry so well together. We also had Baba Ghanoush, a smoked aubergine and tahini concoction that was served with flat bread. Tabbouleh, a traditional salad of parsley and crushed wheat was one of my top favourites out of the bunch, so simple and fresh, but yet highly placed on the 'flavour charts'. Swiftly moving along onto the hot mezas we had Batata Harra - delicately spiced cubes of moorishness. Each potato cube was coated with the delicious sauce. Not too spicy to warrant a hazard sign, just hot enough to tantalise your taste buds. Soujouk, lamb sausages, were sweet, spicy and moist cooked with tomatoes, chilli and garlic; simple but pronounced flavours. There was also a subtle hint of smokiness; sausages were licked lovingly by the fire. Kibbeh, lamb meatballs, sported a crunchy coating made of wheat. The tender mince meat was very aromatic and 'slightly nuts' with the addition of pine nuts. Lastly, one cannot forget about Falafel, the epitome of Middle Eastern cuisine, fried crushed bean balls, these golden mounds of deliciousness were the best I've ever tasted! For our main course we had a mixed grill consisting of: chicken and lamb cubes, mince meat skewers as well as chicken mince skewers. It was flavourful enough to enjoy but definitely did not trump the starters. I also ordered a Mango shake to accompany the meal, no doubt it was scrumptious, just a shame it wasn't cold! All in all the staff were very hospitable and delivered a great service. Good vibes resonated throughout and the cool & calm ambience uplifted the whole experience. No doubt it has left it's mark on my stomach. 😉

It’s not so much the lateness. An hour and half wait for a takeaway is long enough. Then being late, and then the food being cold. Not really good enough. Love the restaurant but will never order a home delivery from there again

I had lunch for the first time today in this restaurant and I left feeling very impressed. The food was delicious, very high quality, freshly cooked and very good value for money. The service was really good, the staffs are nice and friendly, the place is very clean and they have air conditioner. Will highly recommend this place to friends and family.

Huge fan of Lebanese food and having lived in London all my life I know many places in this city. This has to be one of the - if not THE - best. Small restaurant and busy so booking advised. Also CASH only. Well worth a visit – food is cooked fresh, of great quality and delicious. Highly recommended.

I ordered a few things, was suprised when we received it so quickly. Only down point was I didn't find the homous nice rest of the food was great.

The food was delicious overall. The hummus is excellent as is the babaganoush. The Tabbouleh is overly lemony and not so pleasant. Not enough pittas for the the quantity of dips ordered, as only 3 provided and we ordered 3 different dips. Flavourings of the cheese and spinach pastry were excellent. Food arrived early which is always a plus. Would definitely recommend.

Whole grill chicken came with no side for example rice, chips or salad. It was just bare chicken. For the price I think it should be accompanied with rice or chips

The food at Meza is delicious, but our recent visit was ruined by loud music. There was only one other large table of people, making a lot of noise, but the music was suddenly turned up and made our conversation very strained! Two requests to lower the volume were met with assurances and smiles, and it was turned down, only to be turned up again a few minutes later. Both times. This is such a pointless move - you've just been told some of your customers are uncomfortable, so you pretend to improve things then go back on it - Like we won't notice..? By this time the restaurant was full, and the noise unbearable. It might be to some people's taste, but you missed the chance to make it to everyone's taste and making us feel welcome. You've lost us as customers and gained this review.

We ordered a takeaway from this restaurant and they called us 45 minutes later to say they didn’t want to accept the order as they were too busy. I can fully appreciate that the restaurant was busy but if the kitchen does not have the capacity to offer this service it should not be offered. To wait an hour to inform us is very poor service.

2 hours 20 mins from order to delivery. 5 unanswered phone calls to find out what was happening. not cool. I love Mezza, it’s our “ go to” takeaway. but service and delivery was just abysmal today. food was still good though.

30 mins late, but the driver hit "delivered" at the correct ETA, leaving me and the restaurant to figure out whether it has been sent to the wrong address. By the time the food arrived it was cold.

Had a great family meal at the Meza Prices were £25 / head which I did not think too bad but we ordered too much food. I had the mixed grill with some rice but I did not really need the rice, it came with an excellent salad. The restaurant is cosy and the staff were very good. Note they do not take credit or debit cards so you need to take cash with you.

Food arrived 45 minutes late and was stone cold. Contacted the resturant and they were not willing to help.

was over an hour late, and when it arrived I was unable too eat it because it was stone cold. there was rain water over the chips where bag had been left open. and when I called to chase the order they didn’t apologise for the delay. was disappointed as have used this place a few times before and always been really lovely food.

Food tasted fine, but as it arrived 35 minutes late and was luke warm, my hungry guests had to queue up to microwave it so I'm afraid a low score for that. We called when it was 20 minutes late, at first they didn't have a record of the order then said the driver had already left, when asked how long ago, no answer was given, another 15 minutes later he arrived and was the only person to apologise. Shame really as great menu but I probably wouldn't come back.

fine Lebanese fare in tooting: started with moutabal - eggplant / hummus dish with lovely, fresh pita; mixed grill = chicken and lamb kabobs and grille lamb and chicken pieces: all tender and delicious! staff is efficient, but slow on 'the uptake' when I found hair on one of the platters!!??!!

Lamb cutlets (£13.95) were so tough they were inedible. Mosaka contained just 3 cubes of aubergine. Received an extra houmous instead of moutabal. Won't order again.

No puedo conseguir suficiente de meza. Es un lugar pequeño y recto que sirve comida sencilla pero deliciosa. Siempre reservar con antelación, pero normalmente se puede conseguir una mesa un par de días antes. Servicio rápido y las bebidas son bastante buena. Nunca he a sabiendas bebimos vino libanés antes, pero es muy fácil de beber y va con la comida.

We had a meal for 4 with a drink, including service for £75. We stuck completely to Meze and went for three each.....probably a bit too much food! Two with two to share between four would have been plenty. The food was good and the service efficient. Particularly recommend the Batata Harra and the Hummus Beiruty was good too as was the Lebanese Beer. Would go again

I had to call them twice before my order was deliver. I understand that the weather conditions are bad but I one our delay after confirming delivery time is unacceptable.

Called the restaurant and was told it’s on its way. called again half hour later to be told rudely that food was on its, to which I questioned are you just telling me or is it actually on its way - was rudely told it’s on its way. The food arrived and it was leaking and very cold - when what was ordered is meant to be hot. very disappointing £35 spent!!! actually very upset and angry about the order, their food and service!! VERY POOR!

I've had this meal in Leeds and the flavours were out of this world, but this shop the meat had no flavour and food was cold, wont be ordering again.

Have lost count of the number of times we have been here. Always a good experience. Staff are really nice. Food is delicious, very good value, served quickly. Some of the reviews seem to be somewhat critical - not our experience at all. We love it and it's often first choice if we're going out somewhere local.

Pretty disappointed with our food-boxes had leaked in the bag so was very messy, and lamb cubes (9) only came with some pickles and pitta, for £11.50!!! Would expect at least some rice and a decent sized salad. Food was tasty but at this price expect better

We specifically ordered it for 7.30pm for when our children would be in bed It arrived at 6pm when we were bathing them?!?! So it was cold fish and rice later on

Arrived cold despite arriving ‘early’ - they give extra long estimated time (over an hour) so they can say they beat it. However, despite this food arrived cold. Hummus was also very average and lamb tasteless. Chips cold and soggy. Won’t use them again. If you’re torn definitely go else where.

The food was pretty good, but I went to the toilet before it arrived and rather wish I hadn't. According to the chart on the wall it hadn't been cleaned for five days and judging by the state of it I'd say that was about right. I certainly hope the standards of hygiene in the kitchen are better.

Being local we had been meaning to try Meza ever since they opened, now that we have we won't be going back. Food wasn't unpleasant (although some was a little cold) but entirely unremarkable and there's other places in Tooting that do similar food much better.

Wonderful flavours, perfectly cooked meat. Lots of variety on the menu. All turned up hot and on time. Farrouj Meshwieh was particularly special.

We had an excellent quick lunch in this small and basic restaurant and everyone was happy with the range and quality of the food - the only reservation was the flatbread, which was tough and soggy (microwaved?). Five of us got through seven meze dishes and, with a glass of OK house red paid, with service, about £13 a head - excellent value. No cards taken, so bring cash.

My partner and I went to the Meza Tooting Broadway last night (Saturday 30 September). It was busy and the staff were clearly stretched and stressed. We were hassled into finishing our starter before we had eaten it, which was annoyingly bad customer care but not the main cause of criticism. The starters were just ok, but in the main course the skewered lamb was cold, tough and tasteless: it did not taste freshly-cooked, more re-heated, badly. My partner could not eat more than a couple of mouthfuls. When I complained to the man who seemed to be the Head Waiter/possibly proprietor, he looked embarrassed but just shrugged: no serious apology, and no gesture of appeasement. We won't be going there again, and would recommend that others walk past it to the many other eateries now in Tooting Broadway.

El título lo resume! El pan en el restaurante es calentada en el microondas! El cordero Kabab sirvieron en un vistazo podía contar las piezas de cordero. 6 piezas duras (posiblemente recalentados en el microondas, ya que fue muy duro y unos trozos de verduras a granel hasta el plato. Son estos chicos En serio? El Humous, berenjena y era todo muy soso halloumi. ¿Cómo podrían conseguir esta muy equivocado? Y cómo se hace este negocio reciba tantas críticas positivas? De verdad chicos? Estás en serio cuando te sirven la comida y la pretensión de ser un restaurante? Nunca me dejes engañar de nuevo.

This restaurant was excellent. The food arrived early (on a Friday night!) and even included some free baklava, salad, pilaf rice, and salad. We ordered the mixed grill, white fish, tabbouleh, hummus, labneh, and wareg einab. The food quality was better than other fast food chains (not oily, tender lamb, white meat chicken). The tabbouleh was perfect, just like it is in Arabia, really lemony with some tomato and cucumber as well. The white fish was also excellent, nicely charred on the outside and flaky in the inside (it's a whole fish, suitable for one person). My one complaint is that the hummus was a bit flavorless, the Sainsbury brand has better texture and flavoring. Otherwise 10/10.

Comida discreto, amable y sabroso. No os decepcionará la comida aquí, una gran selección, no resultará enrevesado. Gran Hummus y mezclado grill. Un bonito detalle con Baklava al final. Recomiendo el vino libanés.

Very disappointed after my last order with Meza! I had to call the restaurant more than 30 minutes after the schedule delivery time only to find that the order hadn't even left their premises yet. I was reassured it was ready, and just about to leave, and had to wait only five minutes. But we waited more than that. With a hungry, screaming child it was even more frustrating to wait over 1.5 hours for our meal. Then to add insult to injury, the chips weren't warm as they usually are, and the fried pieces in the salad were completely soggy! The meal wasn't enjoyable and I wish I hadn't ordered. I expect a full refund.
