Enoteca Da Luca is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The wine menu is simply fabulous, offering an incredible selection that caters to all tastes—perfect for both casual wine enthusiasts and seasoned connoisseurs. The food is excellent. What’s even better is that the pricing is very reasonable for the high quality you get, making it a great spot for any occasion. We were lucky enough to meet the owner during our visit, who was an absolute delight. They took the time to chat with us, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. If you’re visiting in the summer, the outdoor seating area is a real highlight. It’s the perfect place to sit back, enjoy a glass of wine, and watch the world go by. Enoteca Da Luca effortlessly combines great food, an outstanding wine selection, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Didn’t even get as far as sitting down as the blonde waitress who ‘greeted’ us was so unnecessarily rude. The tone in which is told us that there was no service at the bar and to return to the entrance was really unpleasant. Which is a shame because the place seemed nice! Won’t be going back anytime soon….

This is such a super restaurant, been three times now and never disappointed. The most recent time I had the Tuscan pasta which was served in huge shell pasta shapes and was delicious. My friend opposite me had the veal chop and kindly shared some. As I only had a fork and spoon due to my pasta dish I decided to try to cut it with the spoon whilst no one was watching. Amazingly it went straight through just using the blunt spoon ! Needless to say it was fabulous, so incredibly tender and tasty. Also tried the bolognaise ragu which was delicious and had chunks of tender beef and pork which melted on the mouth rather than the usual mince meat served elsewhere. Definitely try this place, you won’t be disappointed 10/10.

Recent change in management has led to the slow diminish of “enoteca city”. Haven’t been to enoteca for a number of years in the city, recent visits have done nothing but disappoint, first the initial decision to stop serving any pizza, then in our most recent visit the removal of any “tomato based pasta sauce”, the menu is becoming more and more limited with zero to none options for vegetarians (aside from 2 lacklustre options from an entire menu). Staff have mentioned that this recent change is due to a change in management / chef, however they themselves know that this is a very limited menu to pick from. As mentioned, we have been going to enoteca for years and it is a real disappointment to see the recent change, it’s clear the management are trying to target a fine dining atmosphere with these changes (including revisions to the average main costing ~£20) however with no real improvement in quality (in fact the main was served within 5 mins of ordering so one can only assume they’re already made and preheated), we will definitely not be visiting back. Should you seek something of the old enoteca, would suggest going to Eataly around the corner!

Me regalé un almuerzo en @enotecalondon @dsq_london mientras todos los demás eran WFH, usando @codehospitality Paté de hígado de pollo, Tagliatelle alla bolognese. Era un comensal solitario hasta que un pequeño grupo llegó al final. Típico de esta parte de la ciudad hoy en día. El equipo era encantador, la comida era increíble. El cerdo y la carne de res cocinados lentamente tenían tan buen sabor, que mi boca sigue lloviznando horas después al pensarlo. Pasta cocinada perfectamente.

Treated myself to lunch at @enotecalondon @dsq_london whilst everyone else was WFH, using @codehospitality Chicken liver pâté, Tagliatelle alla bolognese. I was a lone diner until a small group arrived at the very end. Typical of this part of the city nowadays. Team were delightful, food was amazing. The slow cooked pork and beef had such good flavour, my mouth is still watering hours later at the thought of it. Pasta cooked perfectly.

Nice Italian, only niggle would be, I think salted ricotta on orichiette alla Nduja would have been more appropriate given the calabrian style of the dish with caramelised onion, Nduja and roasted tomato. Would recommend though.

Expensive but tasty authentic Italian.

I organised a group booking of around 15 people. The service was amazing! the team were friendly polite and super helpful every step of the way.The food and the wine were pretty good too ;)Will def go back again soon and can highly recommend!

Good Italian with a nice terrace to sit outside in. Three of us shared two starters and three mains, all were really good although the broccoli sausage pasta was average. The veal chop however was delicious - highly recommend. Atmosphere was nice and service was good. It’s not the cheapest place but prices are in line with what you would expect in the city. Worth a visit, particularly in the summer.

En una parte de Londres que no está precisamente desprovista de restaurantes italianos, Enoteca the Luca es una verdadera joya. Pensé que conocía bien esta parte de la ciudad pero Devonshire Square fue una agradable sorpresa. Un muy buen ejemplo de cómo desarrollar un antiguo almacén georgiano. Enoteca the Luca es esencialmente dos establecimientos – un bar de vinos y justo enfrente, un restaurante más formal. No es el tipo de lugar donde el personal blande pimienta gigante - molinillos, o tienen música de mandolina cursi de fondo - es italiano moderno en carácter, que es muy elegante de hecho. La comida que tuvimos fue simplemente maravilloso – todo ello. Comenzamos con las carnes curadas mixtas y quesos para dos. Los contenidos estaban en excelentes condiciones y de una calidad muy alta. Este debería ser el estándar en todos los restaurantes italianos, pero dos experiencias recientes demostraron que también puede ser desastroso. Una sucursal de una conocida cadena italiana entregó algo que bordeaba lo no comestible y la semana pasada, pagamos solo un par de libras menos por diez rebanadas delgadas de salami (aunque de buena calidad). Este entrante era el aperitivo perfecto. Elegir ese entrante fue difícil ya que tenía los ojos puestos en la porchetta del menú y los recuerdos de la porchetta romana vinieron inundados de nuevo. Por cierto, cuando le mencioné esto al excelente gerente, sacó la porchetta de la cocina para que yo la viera en todo su esplendor. ¿Adivina lo que voy a tener en nuestra próxima visita? No lo elegí en esta ocasión, ya que uno de los platos fuertes fue Cochinillo y de nuevo – no pude resistirme. Ese cerdo era simplemente excepcional. Hacemos un gran negocio sobre el cerdo en Inglaterra y su “crepitar” acompañante, pero créeme, ni siquiera se acerca a esto. Todo fue espectacular. Lo mismo podría decirse de la elección bastante segura de mi esposa de milanesa de pollo que, de nuevo, es un plato simple pero tan difícil de hacer bien. Esto tenía el recubrimiento de pan rallado crujiente, pero la carne dentro todavía estaba maravillosamente húmeda. Mi esposa tenía el pastel de pera y Ricotta de postre, que como el resto de la comida era excelente. Me tomé una copa de Vinsanto con un poco de cantucci – es difícil equivocarse. La carta de vinos es concisa y tiene una buena selección por copa. Para nosotros, fue la inclusión de tres ejemplos de nuestra variedad de uva italiana favorita: Primitivo. Esta variedad de uva es menospreciada por “el comercio” por su “fruta hacia adelante”, estilo dulce. Parece que prefieren el estilo de vino más seco, pero sabemos lo que nos gusta, y nos gusta Primitivo. Este ejemplo (Collezione 50 de San Marzano) fue excelente. El servicio fue amable, muy eficiente y completamente profesional. Está a solo cinco minutos a pie de la terminal de nuestra línea de metro local en Aldgate, por lo que las posibilidades de que regresemos son del 100 %. Un excelente establecimiento.

Enoteca's food and service are truly amazing. Every dish is a delight, and the staff is incredibly attentive. It's just a shame about the construction drilling noise next door, which can be a bit disruptive. Regardless, the exceptional food and service make it well worth a visit.

An Italian restaurant in Jinja that is even more delicious than New York.

This was my second time here and the service, food and wine is excellent! The staff are polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful dining experience. The Sea bass and pork belly were delicious and we were lucky enough to go outside to enjoy a coffee in the beautiful surroundings. A very peaceful experience amongst the hustle and bustle of Liverpool St! Looking forward to my next visit. A perfect afternoon. Thank you team Enoteca da Luca!

This is my favourite lunch spot in the city. Since the new refurbishment which with their new style updates has given way to an exciting new menu that has two unbelievably tasty cuts of meet that are skilfully grilled to perfection. I now have a staple order each time I visit which is the Florentine Steak with a bowl of Cacio Pepe (which is off menu but they will make it for you) and a side order of the veal chop, which could not be more flavoursome and juicy. A true upgrade on an already outstanding establishment. Amazing. #sideofveal #caciopepeandsteak

This eatery is notable for taking simple ingredients and elevating it to classic Italian fare. There are two sides to the restaurant: a side with bar stools and tables and the other with conventional chair and tables. It was lunch service, and not very busy. The staff were friendly and attentive. Starters were artichokes; the mains were crab pasta (delicious) and risotto for my companion (slightly salty.) Finally tiramisu and pear and soft cheese dessert. Pricey, but recognise that this is catering for the city folk, and also noting its locality. A serendipitous find.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I wasted my money. Was here before for lunch in the fall 2023 and the food was actually good. Think I had chicken milanese. Came here on Friday and the food lacked flavour. Bill for 1 drink, 1 entree and a bread basket was £45 with tip and VAT. Meal was totally forgettable and very disappointing. Much better options in the area.

Nice place with tasty food. It's pricey tho. Ate there twice. The second time, service was rushed probably because we came 20min to close of business which is understandable but I wished they made it less obvious and also food was a bit salty. All the same excellent place for good Italian meals

Truthfully, I think this place is overpriced. The food was okay, not exceptional & the place lacked atmosphere. I don't like it when an establishment includes a service charge; I prefer to determine myself whether the service merits a tip. This place served a purpose for us as a convenient place to meet with friends, but is not somewhere I would rush back to.

Had a great time in there! Staff is attentive and knowledgeable, blond girl Martha gave us a nice recommendation for rose wine and in general took a good care of our table.

The service was haphazard, the food average. Filling up the wine glass almost to the brim is not how you serve an expensive bottle of wine. The staff were friendly but not professional. One of the dishes was too salty. But they did take it IFG the bill. It’s a nice setting but let down by quality of the food.

Accoglienza calorosa, locale carino e ben curato... cucina a Vista, il menù non ha una grandissima scelta ma I piatti sono buoni e ben serviti. Bella scelta dei vini da gustare nella saletta accanto, bello anche il giardino fuori

The food was poor from starter to main. Shared a Porcetta fir starts which was really greasy and tasted poor. The waiter recommended the lasagne and the pollo Milanese both were crap. Wine good as was the location but don’t come for four ……… drinks only

Great food and ambiance, friendly staff. The pizza is quite good, so is the ravioli and tomato bruschetta.

Nice atmosphere and starters, but the truffle pasta was very disappointing and had no flavour despite the generous helping of truffle. The plate was covered in a thick layer of melted butter - after I had finished eating the pasta, there was still at least 3 tablespoons of butter on the plate which made the course unpleasant.

As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The menu offers several options and everything was very good, especially the porchetta and the ravioli. I liked the wine list too, elaborate and with a variety of choices. In short, very nice location with a welcoming atmosphere and the staff were very kind, attentive to details and friendly, especially Valentina. I recommend it!

The place looks great and has a good wine selection. However, nobody greeted us as we came in and we had to ask somebody if they were open. Quality the food is okay but not amazing for the price. The way to service is very attentive. I ordered an Apperal spritz and found it to be very weak.

The pasta was actually quite fresh, taste was soso… it’s the cold welcome that will actually prevent me from coming back, especially the women Edit: people have been complaining about the service here for years and they still are getting it wrong. Also noticing some responses from the owner to upset customers that is just completely unacceptable! Changing my review to a 2 stars rather than 3 Edit: so now what the owner does is to reply reviews completely dismissing their experience. Just 2 months ago, someone gave a low star rating for ‘lazy staff’ and if you want to see whereby people have complained in their reviews and the owner has replied rudely or even completely dismissed their review, just start from the lowest ratings first and read... Now changing to a 1 star

Molto bene! This is a wonderful and popular Italian restaurant with a friendly and attentive squadra! 👏🏻 Despite being in the City, it feels like a nice relief from the hustle and bustle. There is the indoors area, then a covered terrace, then the terrace itself, so many options. The food is very tasty, absolutely loved the sea bream paccheri pasta, divine! The carbonara also looked amazing as well as the truffle pasta 🍝😋 Highly recommended by Italian friends and colleagues and note that they have other branches as welln

Great wine list, lunch quality was mediocre. It’s in a great location where you can enjoy your meal outside on the patio, however I think next time I’ll come for wine and nibbles rather than the full meal.

My favourite place in the city for a drink outside. The vibe is good and the food and drinks are of great quality. The only downside is that the service can be rather slow. But I can overlook that as they are usually very nice once they get to you and it’s a lovely spot.

Stumbled on this restaurant on the way from Liverpool Street station to Wilton’s Music Hall. We were fortunate that it was still warm enough to sit outside against the rather substantial patio heaters. We were fairly early and there seemed to be quite a few people just having drinks but we ordered a sharing platter starter and main course. The staff were really lovely and extremely helpful in terms of helping us pick wine etc. Food was delicious, of particular note was the spaghetti carbonara. The only small niggle was that the smoking area seemed to be at the back of where we were sitting so we kept getting the occasional waft of fag smoke but there’s not much you can do about that when it’s outside. Overall lovely meal and set us up nicely for our evening at the theatre.

Enjoyable culinary experience. Delightfully presented and flavourful starters followed by substantial and tasty pizzas. Eclectic wine collection, ranging from fine vintages to highly quaffable and reasonably priced Italian regional options. Service was welcoming and cheerful, albeit sluggish at times.

The food was average but I’m giving a bad rating because the toilet was absolutely horrendous. It’s shameful for any human being to go in there. Absolutely disgusting. And the prices were too expensive for the tiny portions

Enoteca used to be our regular date night spot. We visited them on their reopening and was left disapointed. It took 55 minutes to take our order, and even then I had to go up and ask for someone to come to the table. The cheese sharing board was more frugal than I care to remember pre-covid. We then had another 50 minute wait between our starter and main course (at this point we were close to walking out, being both cold and hungry). The food is tasty, and it does have the right level of 'buzz', but the service was non existant last night. Noone came to ask whether we needed more drinks, took our order willingly, or asked if our meal was to our liking. And to have a service charge on the bill just added insult to injury.

The service was very slow and although the starters were nice, the clams pasta tasted of sick. The worse part was about the heating: the website clarifies you get heatings in the terrace (the reason why we booked there) but the heaters are just in an area of the terrace, quite far from the other tables. We literally ordered our second round of drinks after the starters just to get them when we were ready to go. Also I got served my mains without cutlery. The bill was quite expensive for the experience we had and we payed service charge cause we felt bad for them having to be closed for months, but definitely not recommended.

Booked this for a long awaited meet up with friends because they had a really nice looking outdoor seating area and will definitely be returning. Everything exceeded our expectations, friendly staff, good wine and all the food was absolutely delicious. We shared lots of dishes and the burrata, porchetta and the wild boar tagliatelle were the winners
