Methi Indian Takeaway in Huntingdonshire

Food is so so good, but I have never had a delivery on time. It’s always more than half an hour later and when you call it’s always “any minute” when they clearly haven’t even started cooking it l. I would rather they are just honest and say it will be another 20/30 minutes so at least we know. Such a shame, recommend to only ever collect.

This was the first and last time we order a takeaway from here. We ordered and selected a delivery time but it was late. After 15 mins, they called letting me know they’re behind and should be 15 mins for delivery which was fine. I would’ve thought they’d deduct something off the bill or comp us but nothing. The food was very disappointing and we were starving! The starter king prawn puree looked like they put red food colouring. It wasn’t good. The chicken dish barely had any sauce and it was very very dry. The veggie dishes and rice were so bland it tasted watered down. Unfortunately we dumped everything because it just wasn’t good. What a waste of money. The garlic naan barely had any garlic on it, should’ve just ordered plain and saved money. The only good thing that came out of this was the poppadoms. I gave it a 2 because they called and let us know they were running late but we will never order from here again.

food was great pathia was full of flavour with a nice heat to it. delivery was the only issue came 30 minutes late so wasn’t that hungry

Always ordered from methi and it’s normally great but this time I got a bhuna and it taste like nothing, the naans were tough to eat as well, very disappointing

Chicken used in the curry was pretty tough, but otherwise a pretty pleasant meal.

Ordered from these guys a few times now through just eat. Never ever had any issues and due to us living out of the main town we are limited on people that deliver. The food every time has been incredible and full of taste and not watery or over oily. I made a mess up with an order and I phoned up and they had it sorted immediately for me and by the time I had got in the car and driven there they had a new once knocked up. Genuinely don’t have a single bad thing to say. Keep it up Allan

Sharing our experience to warn others who are used to a different type of Indian style takeaway! We're new to the area and tried Methi based on the glowing reviews, but for us, the taste and quality is not what we expected for the cost. - Curries are not spicy at all. For example, the vegetable curry is usually quite spicy but this was bland. It might as well have been cooked in passata! - Chicken was dry and chewy, clearly heated up from yesterday. - Onion bhajis tasted like they'd been heated up in an oven. Not at all crunchy or hot. - Spent just over £40 and no free poppadoms thrown in. Never experienced this before! - Long wait for food (nearly 1.5 hours after ordering) which was expected for Saturday night but we wrongly assumed this meant our order was cooked fresh. It arrived luke warm, probably because it was just heated through, which would have been forgiven if not for the above. Overall, not for us, and as a take away is such a treat these days, I wouldn't want others to experience the same disappointment. Our hunt for a really good Indian takeaway continues!

Once again another great meal from Methi - our regular Indian takeaway. Will be back in 2025! Happy New Year to the Methi team!

After an issue with delivery the takeaway owner brought our food out personally, and I can honestly say it was possibly the best Indian food I've ever had and its created by people that have a passion for their food, will definitely be ordering again but I won't be doing it through just eat, paying more for no extra service

Average really. Pathia was medium not hot, Masala was quite sweet and they sent a Nan when the order was Paratha. The whole order lacked care.

What can I say, this place never fails to please. Food is always tasty and hot on arrival. Consistently great food and delivery times. The boss delivered my food tonight, normally only delivers on new customer orders, but he’s been to me a few times and remembered my face which is a nice personal touch. I shall be a returning customer for many more orders as I’ve never had a bad one from here! By far the best curry in the region!

Ordered online, went to collect and instantly made to feel welcome. Had to wait a few minutes extra but that was absolutely fine. The food was excellent, like seriously seriously good, I was very impressed.

We had a bit of a wait last night for food to be delivered, I sent an email explaining the long wait , and unable to get through to anyone on the phone , when the food arrived , it was of a very good standard and very reasonably priced compared to a few of the high street restaurants in st Neots ,Abdul the manager very promptly replied to my email and explained to demand of orders last night , and offered some free dishes next time , however to my surprise he kindly turned up at my house today , and apologised again , he also brought us some dishes and side orders for free ! I was very impressed with a manager that actually cares about his customers and business and gave me the time to talk to me , I will definitely be using this takeaway service again , and hopefully the delivery service will be improved , or at least a courtesy call to explain the high demand of the business . 5 stars from me for customer service !

We normally order a delivery from the Methi but on this occasion collected. From the moment we walked in the staff were extremely friendly and happy to answer any questions we had about their dishes. The food was lovely and fresh with great flavours. I would certainly recommend Methi if you need a delivery or take away. We will definitely be back. 😊

The best curry house in town! After trying quite a few, we only order from Methi. Food is always consistently great and delivered on time (sometimes even earlier). We are so happy to have such a great curry takeaway we can be sure will always be very satisfying.

Had the lamb chop behind which was ok. Meat was tough as old boots but was a tasty curry. However this was spoilt by the missing garlic naans which took 45mins to be delivered and everything was lukewarm warm at best by the time we got to eat. Chicken madras was nice as were the lamb samosas. Just disappointed with the delivery.

Amazing food ! Very tasty! Just found it odd that butter chicken’s pieces was in slices of chicken vs my husband’s chicken tikka was chunky pieces of chicken (like it usually is). But we plan to order again.

We love Methi but this is the second time now where our order has been marked as delivered but doesn’t turn up till 30-60 minutes later and we’ve had to call to chase up. Would rather they change the delivery time then mark it as delivered

Prawm Sag spinach was nice but the lamb was extremely tough and just sweet ..sorty guess dont know what happened tonight but my food was up to the standard you normally cook up
