The overall experience was really really good, albeit with a few minor bumps. The greeting was friendly and informative by Alex. We were shown to our hut which was absolutely beautiful and very well made. The fridge wasn’t working so our drinks could not be chilled, we did mention this and it was said that they’d check but that didn’t happen. The hut was unbelievable, we loved sunbathing in the afternoon and then lighting a fire in the evening after dinner and roasting some marshmallows. We had a table booked for 8pm and we didn’t get sat until around 8.20pm, but our table was lovely. Nice size and well spaced out. The restaurant area was brilliant. The meal was a tad overpriced in my mind but the food delicious. We saw a lady walk out and say service was slow which made us a bit nervous but our waiter was lovely and attentive. Breakfast top notch the following day, the coffee really good too. I did email ahead of time and mention it was my girlfriends birthday, and asked if a bottle could be left in the room, which was confirmed but sadly it didn’t happen. Other than those minor blips, the experience was unbelievable and we’ll be back

Loved our stay at the Merry Harriers. The peaceful surroundings made for a perfect escape, and the interiors are absolutely gorgeous—thoughtfully decorated and incredibly cozy. The service was amazing from start to finish, with a special thank you to Alex and the lovely waitress who kindly gave us some paracetamol when we needed it. The Sunday roast is a must , and we enjoyed relaxing in the record room with a few board games, Can’t wait to return!

Terrible visit. Travelled from London for lunch. Made to feel very unwelcome due to having children with us. Not warmly welcomed. Food order constantly put through incorrectly. Didn’t acknowledge the children or offer them anything. Didn’t even get a children’s menu, had to ask. Didn’t get the bread and butter which came with their food as set menu. Again had to ask. They got very hungry and one of them got a bit upset. My main came out with starter so was taken back to kitchen and then when it was brought back out wasn’t cooked properly. This after starter (soup) had been served cold. So I ended up being very hungry. Children’s deserts then wrong. Staff wise; The owner was very pleasant in the end and acknowledged my feelings and apologised. I had ended up nearly in tears due to one of his staff (detailed below) but I also got the impression he thought I was after something but I really wasn’t. I was just hungry, stressed and didn’t want to eat a sausage that didn’t look cooked. My relative who I was with had been a previous over night guest at the venue and was looking forward to taking us today so was a shame for her too. Front of house bar tender lady very snobby and arrogant, no proper hello. Walked into us twice in the bar area, No manners. Suggested I have a single measure of gin with my G n T. I didn’t want a double anyway! Was very nice to other guests so seemed like she was disapproving of us because we had young children with us. Young waitress was very pleasant but didn’t know what the menu was and said she had to wait for it to be printed. But there were only a handful of options available anyway. Kept messing our orders up. Waiter, think his name was Adam. Kept arguing with us when the order was coming out wrong. Then did the same when I said the sausage was pink and not cooked even though the owner had already acknowledged my feelings on it and admitted he probably would have easten it either, so what was Adam’s issue? Why be so defensive. And then also why go on to insult my children and tell me they had been ‘shouting all afternoon’ which was a total exaggeration, only one of them got a bit upset as he’s been under the weather and was starving and not given any bread or even a colouring pencil or a hello and he’s 5 years old and it’s the Easter holidays. Adam told me that two people had gone to the bar to complain about my children. Terrible way to talk to guests and my husband is disgusted as well after I told him about this. We’ve never experienced such rudeness and usually get compliments on how well our children behave in public. Children are very intuitive and I believe they felt just as unwelcome as we did and picked up the vibes and energy and also should have been given some bread as advertised while we waited for menus to be printed off. We didn’t even get given kids menus, we had to ask for these as well, it was such disdain we were shown for having kids. If they want this to be an adults only venue then they need to say so.

We had a great stay at the Merry Harriers having enjoyed the Gin tasting next door first. The garden rooms are compact but perfect for nice weather with private seating separated from main pub garden by a hedge which is a nice touch. The Inn itself is charming and the staff welcoming and friendly. Due to great weather we spent most of our time in the lovely large pub garden, both kids and dog friendly but well spaced out to allow for different groups enjoying it in different ways. They welcomed us into the meat raffle (a new experience) and we felt treated like locals in a good way. We had dinner inside, and the food was brilliant. The scotch egg was superb and the sirloin shared for two big lads did the job! The chorizo and chicken pie was also lovely. Drink options varied and high quality. We went out for a game of bowls in the garden and were left to our own devices once we had our drinks sorted to enjoy the garden until bed. Breakfast was well worth being up for, the full English was again really high quality and tasty. Great stay would come again.

Lovely location and lovely garden! The staff is very nice and friendly, they explained where the sources of the food comes from and you can appreciate how local the food is and thought through. While the high quality was a constant, the starters were definitely the wow factor (asparagus soup and the beetroot salad), I hope the mains will match the wow factor in the future! Only suggestion I would say, is to improve the vegetarian options, but everything is amazing and will definitely be back!!

Needed a room close to Fitzpatrick Referrals as our dog had broken a bone in her elbow. This was the nearest that took dogs in the room. Cost £160 for a small garden room and I mean small, don't bring the cat! We had left our dog for scans and wanted a light lunch ordered a ploughmans pint & half of lager, it was ok, had another half & asked for the bill, told it was £40.20 food was £17. pint & 2 halves £23.20, I don't think so & told them, immediately reduced by exactly £10 to £30.20 still no paper bill produced, very wary of this! Picked up our dog at 5pm, told she needed an operation, cost £16,000+. Returned to our room & went in for dinner later, it was ok, no problem with bill this time. Checked out the following morning & inadvertently left our dogs favourite toy in the room, we realised when we got home & phoned to let them know. They said they "had binned" the toy. Advice check your bill & don't leave anything in your room the will "Bin it"!

We stayed for 2 nights in the most glorious shepherds hut on a bed and breakfast rate. Breakfast is phenomenal the most perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and partner had mushrooms on toast. Yoghurt juice and extra toast available. The Sunday lunch beef sharing platter was more than we could eat having shared a scotch egg and freshly baked bread and butter to graze on. One of the friendliest pubs and most perfectly situated shepherds hits across the road with wood burning stove. Cannot fault it! Book early to avoid disappointment as long as they always accommodate me when they can!

We were here for dinner on Valentine’s Day, so I’m well aware that the kitchen may have been busier than usual, and certainly the restaurant area was very full, but we were disappointed by our visit. We opted to forgo starters and move straight to mains, but ordered some sourdough to nibble on - just as well, as it took an hour for our mains to arrive, by which time we were very hungry. No update or apology was given by the staff. The food itself was decent - a little more gastro than typical pub fare - but not without flaws: the base sauce of my roasted cauliflower dish was almost cold and the accompanying lentils tasted muddy and underseasoned. My husband’s rabbit croquette was proclaimed very tasty. We decided not to bother with desserts in order to get home at a reasonable hour… I would be prepared to try the Harriers again off-peak to see if they were just having a difficult night, but my husband was rather put off by the experience.

We had heard the Merry Harriers Inn was under new(ish) ownership and, having never been before, thought we would try it out for Sunday lunch - family members birthday. First impressions: despite fighting for a car parking space, were nice interior, busy and good atmosphere. We got a nice table albeit close to the door and it was very cold. The menu is small but we were going for Sunday lunch so no issue. We ordered the roast pork. The pork and beef come as a shared platter - £26pp for the pork. Not sure I get the shared platter proposition here - basically you get two plates of roast lunch piled onto one plate at which point you then have to decant on to your own plate - go figure! Meanwhile, the food is getting cold and it is possibly disguising - not tiny, but not overly generous portions - for example, two carrots each. Everything was fine but not spectacular - roast potatoes not crispy and fluffy inside - actually quite tight and firm texture. The apple sauce very puréed to the consistency of some form of bonding glue. The meat was nice enough (two slices each) and then a tiny jug of gravy between two - YES you can order more but perhaps just offer more than a serving for a door mouse in the first place. The bill came in at over £200 which consisted of a few puddings and a couple of rounds of soft drinks and coffees to finish. It is the wrong price and the quality isn’t there, they will do well just because of the area but I would be surprised if many families like us become returning customers. There are other (and better) destinations for Sunday lunch in the area albeit they don’t all have the nice setting this pub has going for it. No reason why it can’t be turned around but needs to work harder to deliver good food at a better price point and dispense with unnecesary pomp like shared platters that have no meaning or benefit other than an underhand way of overcharging. Puddings also averaging £10-11 so overall felt like it was a bit of a rip off. Not for us unless they listen to the feedback they seem to be getting.

We can't remember the last time we had such a fabulous lunch. The perfect place after a beautiful walk that begins and ends at the pub. I booked last minute but Kelly managed to get us a table in the private dining room, with it's own record player much to the delight of my children who instantly felt like VIPs. The barman entertained my son's request of a pink lemonade by mixing cranberry juice and lemonade, everyone was so friendly. The food itself is on another level, a taste sensation, stunning flavours, perfectly cooked. I could have ordered everything on the menu, as for the puddings.... a banana split with chocolate mousse instead of ice cream is my idea of heaven. The children's menu went down very well, whipped butter and bread for starters was a big hit. When my middle son was offered ice cream for dessert he declined stating he was too cold, the wonderful waitress asked whether he'd change his mind if the ice cream came with a blanket to snuggle up in, sure enough he changed his mind and was delighted when the ice cream did indeed come with a blanket. All 5 of us left very content. Thank you Merry Harriers x

Was hyped by some locals that have been going for years but we were poorly disappointed. Only steak option was hugely overpriced. We went with the pork and pheasant schnitzel. Pork was nothing to write home about and the pheasant whilst well cooked was absolutely swimming in a plate of oil which absolutely killed the whole dish. We then gave the dessert menu the benefit of the doubt to try and salvage some respect. We got a Banana split that could’ve been whipped up by a 6 year old and made with cheap chocolate and sprinkles. I very rarely feel the need to write a review for a below average meal but this warranted the warning for others. Extortionate prices to top it off. Would not recommend.

Visited here with my wife. First thing we noticed is that the pub is incredibly noisy - perhaps we were unlucky and arrived on an especially rowdy evening but there was certainly a group that had to be asked to keep it down. The staff are attentive and friendly. The wine recommendation was good, the tables are laid out nicely, and the decor is tasteful. The toilets are pretty bad for such a lovely place - if you ever went to school in the 80s or 90s, you’ll recognise the cold hard smells and sights! But of a letdown. But who visits a place for a bathroom? Not us, but women should really have more than one toilet. Main course was the pie which we shared and was fabulous. Paid cash, waitress asked if we wanted our change (tip was already included). Not the best question. If we wanted to leave extra, we would do so unprompted. All that said, we would still go back, and recommend you visit, but there are a few improvements that could be made. EDIT - second visit. Perfect.

Absolutely great little spot and amazing service with hands down the best scotch eggs in the business however the price of the dinner was absolutely astronomical - we knew in advance but then of course had different expectations. 166 quid for two people is insane and while it was a special treat our expectation was slightly off the mark. This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Merry Harriers in the Shepherds Hut. We go once a year to have a night to ourselves. We have to say since the refurb earlier this year, it has changed but sadly not for the better. When we arrived we weee looking forward to a cuppa with a biccie, no biscuits to be found, and then we realised no crisps or complementary wine either. We asked the girl at the bar who said that they don’t offer this anymore. Off to Tesco Express we went. Now onto dinner, so every time we come there’s a seasonal menu but there’s always some pub classics, always a burger and gammon/chicken and steak. Not this time! The only steak was for two and was £90! The food had changed to overly posh gourmet style, not a chip in sight. Breakfast, well no continental option anymore and the full English came without beans. The traditional style of the restaurant part of the pub had lost its heart, gone were the rickety wooden tables and chairs and pictures of times gone by, to be replaced with modern decor. We still love our Shepherds Hut but next time will be bringing snacks and booking dinner with one of the local pubs and bring our own cereal and croissants for the morning. Such a shame.

Quirky, rural and very friendly A group of nine of us came on to the Merry Harriers straight from my daughter's registry office wedding in Guildford. Everyone was so friendly and helpful at the Merry Harriers and they couldn't have done more for us! We had a great fun time meeting the llamas (not your conventional post-wedding activity!) and we had delicious buffet refreshments which they laid out beautifully on the long table in the garden - with white table cloth and candles. We really appreciated all the care they took over everything. My daughter and her (new) husband then stayed the night in one of their shepherd huts and they said it was absolutely lovely. They particularly enjoyed waking up and watching the rabbits playing outside their hut. Thank you to everyone at The Merry Harriers

We booked part of the pub for a special birthday weekend in early October: the record room for the birthday meal, and also the five shepherd's huts in the grounds for the same night's celebrations. Both the evening meal itself (and the Sunday lunch, plus wine & cocktails) was absolutely delicious, including vegetarian options - all cooked to perfection by a very talented team. (We arrived early and also had the fun spectacle of the Saturday night village meat raffle). Real community spirit here, it's a quintessential English pub experience but with all the silver stars in terms of service, knowledge and cuisine. The chefs really are incredibly talented - we come often for Sunday lunch - and the attention to detail with all our meals (10 people across two services) was faultless. Mouth-wateringly delish takes on English classics, using locally sourced produce and meat from their own farm. The espresso martinis also went down very well with our London crowd invitees who rated them highly. The coffee is also really good - important for hungover Sunday brekkie (included if booking a shepherd's hut) The service here is always noteworthy - but also fun and sparky. The team clearly all enjoy their jobs very much, and are passionate about the Merry Harriers & about their guests' experience. We had lots of specific requests with guest flying in from Europe for the occasion, but nothing was too much trouble for the team. Wanted to single out Kelly in particular for her awesome TLC service and care beforehand and over the weekend - she really went above and beyond to make it special. David was also as funny and irreverent as ever - such a fun guy, we all love service with wit (And a shout-out to the chambermaid for spotless shepherd's huts). It was also brilliant that our pet dog could also be included in all the weekend fun. It was a dream to have the huts to ourselves, with roaring firepits and marshmallows after hours, under the festoon lights. The huts are totally self contained, warm and each with a kitchenette, en suite shower room, log fire, and double bed. We loved staying here, and it was very peaceful. Lots of blankets, coffee machine, mini fridge, games (and a wall mounted tv, if one wanted to watch tv in bed). The heating was perfect and the en suite also has a heated shower rail to keep it warm. Local easy walks from the doorstep. It is so close to Milford (and Godalming) station too, where taxis can be booked to the pub/huts. Overall, a weekend to remember and a huge thank you to the team. Would recommend highly for a special weekend away

We stayed here last year with friends and really liked the place so we came back. The staff are all really friendly, and the rooms are lovely, however we booked a table for 5 for the Friday night, but upon looking at the menu when we arrived on the Thursday we immediately cancelled. Not one thing on the menu (apart from the sharer) appealed, all the usual staples that used to be on the menu such as burgers were gone, to be replaced by about half a dozen options, all of which were exhorbitantly expensive, and not appealing, we liked the look of the steak sharer, but at £90 for 2 we decided to take our table for 5 elsewhere. We looked also at the wine list and a bottle of NZ Sauvignon was £55, we went to a lovely pub a couple of miles down the road and NZ Sauvignon was £28. Such a shame as the food when we stayed last time was lovely.

The Merry Harriers looks and seems a great pub. One of a kind that is fast disappearing. A pleasant and warm atmosphere prevails amidst a nice setting in Surrey woodland. We didn’t have a beer or a bite to eat, but I’d bet they’re both pretty good. If they were sticking to that then no problem. But the Merry Harriers offers bed and breakfast and, well, the best I can say is there is an absence of attention to detail. Here goes: The kitchen lies at the bottom of stairs and the smell of cooking funnels up the staircase and into the rooms, or at least it has funnelled into ours. And this has clearly been going on for some time because the soft furnishings are saturated with the smell of fat. The TV (in Room 1, if anyone is reading this) only tunes into BBC1 and 2. The kettle’s ‘on’ switch had to be held in position, otherwise the appliance didn’t work. The shower control required very delicate operation with adjustment being a special challenge because to reach the control meant feeling around a flow of what can be scalding water. Oh, and the shower door has no damper and thus flies into the wall with what will one day be shattering consequences. Breakfast was okay, but whilst one orders it the night before, there is also a very sad display of additional items laid out on a table. The staff were all fine but we were treated to overhearing some colourful language coming from the kitchen. I’ve said and heard worse, but there are customers who might be a bit sensitive on such matters. So, whoever owns the place needs to get a grip. These are management issues and their eye has not been on the ball. The charge for a night for two was £160 plus and the Merry Harriers currently does not offer value for money.

The team behind the Merry Harriers have more than met the brief for the perfect pub, with no airs and graces this is a gastropub without the ego or the price tag. Busy with drinkers making merry on a Friday night and dinners of all ages enjoying the stunning menu. Cannot recommend highly enough. Well done to all.

Staff were brilliant. Food was amazing. Best pub roast I have had in a while. I do think it is a bit much to charge £3 for extra gravy when the roast was £56 for two people.

Loved this authentic country bed & breakfast pub. Not only is their restaurant exceptionally creative and tasty but it is also made with local products from the region. The staff is lovely and very considerate to give you the best stay. The pub is also located in the middle of the Surrey hills, trail and hiking paths are immediately accessible from the pub, very easy. I highly recommend.

This pub has recently changed hands. Before the change, it was a very friendly 'local' pub. Since the change, things have changed, noticeably the staff. Previously the staff were friendly, approachable, fun to chat to and involved. Since the change, this is no longer the case. The staff are now a team. Interaction with customers is what is required so that it is what they do. There is no 'engagement' with customers. No fun. Little or no conversation outside what is required to serve drinks and food. interaction between staff and customers is transactional, not personal. Having spoken to one or two former staff, nearly all the old staff have left, it appears that they felt the same hence they left. Few, if any will notice any change. The place remains busy and the atmosphere is lively and the locals still populate the bar. The food is good. I doubt my friends and I will not be going there any more. It will remain popular, it's just lost its local pub atmosphere. pity.

While we are not local we have visited this lovely pub loads over the years with local friends. We booked for dinner and we’re pleased that the pub had not been remodelled - its a lovely pub and venue. Drinks came promptly and there was good service. That’s where the positivity ends I am afraid for us. We felt that the menu choices were limited - only 4 mains. Starters were expensive. Bread and butter for nearly £5! 3 poor pieces of pork scratchings for the same cost with the smallest bowl of apple sauce. I went for the steak at £27 and received 4 small pieces of very average steak and half a bowl of chips. Veg was extra. The veggie option was by all accounts tasty but smaller than my mother in laws voluvonts! Came home and had a proper meal. We were obviously in the minority as the place was full and people were enjoying themselves but in my book I come to a place to eat some good food and at least not have to eat again 20 minutes after leaving. Pretentious pub grub I am afraid and we will not be returning. My advice: eat before you go.

The food was very impressive, but service slow, staff not attentive and clustered around the central service area, we had to ask for culturally 2/3 times and the bill twice. It’s beautiful country pub but has a limit restaurant area, Dogs are welcome but it seemed every table had a dog underneath, I would understand this in the bar area but in the restaurant the barking and dogs moving around at best annoying and worst noisy, dirty and dangerous given the limited space with food being served. We also walked in to a pile of dog mess as we went to use the garden with my young sons finding it by the play area. Disappointing experience for what is a really good concept with impressive food

I've rated 5 stars as my wife and I had a lovely meal Saturday before last. Very welcoming, excellent staff and pretty good food and wine! We are fussy, and we didn't have a bad thing to say about our first visit under the new management. Being local and an occasional patron to the MH over many, many years, in the last 10 or so years, we have not enjoyed our food or drink here. Now, with the new 'Hill Top cafe' management, I must say that we are glad we went and will visit again.

Although the food was very good (despite the somewhat limited menu) and the atmosphere, fireplace and walks nearby were lovely , they lose a star for service. It took over an hour to get the first food to the table despite being a relatively quiet Saturday lunchtime. Problematic, as i had injected insulin when the food was ordered expecting ‘normal’ restaurant service levels. After 50 mins we were told there was some kind of mix up. I did submit the feedback on their survey form sent after the meal, but they never contacted me. To the restaurant: I know a lot of restaurants like to say “oh, so sorry, please contact us” so as to display their focus on customer service - no need here, I already have and you’ve not replied. Funnily enough, despite this, we will probably be back!

I booked a night in one of the Shepherds Huts for my wifes 50th, we took our two Basset Hounds with us and all I can say is Wow! I booked dinner in the pub in the evening which too was superb! The Huts are amazing, well kitted out and there are some lovely added touches. There were marsmallows, a bottle of wine, hot choc, kitkats and crisps in a welcome pack. The Hut was so cozy with underfloor heating, a log fire dressing gowns and also a firepit outside where we toasted our marshmallows. The staff are fantastic, friendly and the pub is very dog friendly. You must try the scotch Egg! The breakfast is also fantastic! Freshly cooked and the bread and butter is out of this world! Lovely location, great Huts, worth coming to stay. We will be back! Amazing!!

In an echo of previous reviews I was most unhappy with the portion sizes in this restaurant which were appalling small for the price. I had the vegetarian tart which was so tiny it would have been insufficient as a starter. It came alone, with no accompaniment . Service reassured us it would be enough (Perhaps a lot of their clientele are mice?) We found the menu painfully thin on choice, irritatingly so in fact and I'm pretty sure that none of us got exactly the dish that was described on the menu. The service was scatty, absent and jumped down the stairs a lot (which we sat near) which was distracting. We found that it did not live up to the Hilltop Kitchen experience (their other venue) which has been very, very good. Hmm... terribly expensive... terribly small portions... all slightly erratic, oh and my wine was pretty much paint stripper. What food we had was very good, it's just that the experience on the whole was not good enough for the price.

Four of us booked for dinner on New Years Eve , we have not been there before and we’re looking forward to trying a new local venue. Very nice atmosphere and welcoming staff . We ordered the prawn cocktail as a starter at a cost of £13 , not exaggerating when I say it was one prawn and a strip of Salmon, next we ordered the roast beef at a cost of £27 each , it was so tough we had to send it back, they handled the complaint very well and produced another plate of beef that was up to the mark, however £27 for three thin strips of beef was breathtakingly expensive .The sticky Toffee Pudding was the highlight of the meal. We enjoyed our evening however when you are going to charge £280 including 1 bottle wine 2 low alcohol beers 2 cocktails, the cost in our opinion was above West End prices , We expect a lot better, we were the last cover of the evening , maybe they had run out of prawns and beef. We felt we were grossly overcharged for what we had.

Saw the pub on a TV programme, and 20 mins away so worth a go. Booked at 2pm on a sat, it looked closed from road, but wasn't, just looks l tired and needs more kerb appeal. 1 other table. Had a 2 course meal, hair in husbands Guinness and an ant on his plate+! Not a good start! Starters , baked camebert to share was lovely . Recommended. 3 mains were burger. Home made and lovely,, fish and chips, which was amazing, lovely taste to batter, and homemade tartar sauce. I had ham egg and chips, probably worst, eggs over cooked, solid, and ham wasn't very tasty, plate full of salad and dressing which engulfed the plate. I didn't enjoy the Ham , egg & chips. Quite a small menu , on a Saturday lunchtime, not sure what is on for an evening. Quite reasonable with drinks, £89 for 2 courses , 2 drink each for 3 people. Didn't get to see Llamas ,as right at end of pub garden and in a far field, so a shame. Saw shepherd's huts off the carpark, but I feel very expensive to stay £190 pn

Last Friday I took my godchildren to the Merry Harriers for a ‘Meet and Greet’ with the Llamas which Liv had kindly arranged. There was a bit of miscommunication about the timings but Clara, one of the trekkers came specially. The kids were thrilled to be able to feed the Llamas and be amongst them, they thoroughly enjoyed it, we all did. I plan to take them back for a trek, they would enjoy that. They also enjoyed the huge chess board, swings and seesaw. It was well worth it despite battling the M25 Friday traffic. We had a very enjoyable lunch, served by two very able girls who were very efficient. The lady who welcomed us told us about some walks we walked to St Peter’s Church up the hill afterwards. We stopped in the Church and I said a prayer for my late Partner who sadly passed away some months ago and the kids also prayed for their beloved Uncle Steve who was with us in spirit.

My partners pork offering was quite tasteless and tough. The table was not cleared, and I had to ask for the bill as the staff were avoiding us. Asked the lady if she had any questions for us, as we still had half eaten plates, she said no! Very dissapointing, and won't be returning. No enquiry, or apologie. Even when we wanted the bill, we had to get up to ask, nobody asked whether everything was OK. When presented with the bill at the table, we asked, Do you want to ask us any questions, answer no ?? There is no hope. This is not a place to eat for disearning eaters.

We stayed in a Garden Room for 2 nights over a weekend, while visiting my son and family in Godalming. The room was nicely decorated and furnished, and the shower room was new with all the usual modern facilities. The Garden Rooms are not large, but very adequate for a short stay. They are situated behind the main Pub building, screened from the Garden by a large laurel hedge, so no problem with noise. The Llama field is just up the path, so you can check them out each morning! Breakfasts (in the Pub) were very nice, and they were able to cater for my wife's gluten & dairy problems. As we were visiting my son, we did not sample lunch or dinner, and arrived back each day too late for the Bar. However the Pub is a wonderful old inn and looks superb. All staff were cheerful and helpful. We did not get time for a Llama Trek!! Highly recommended for a weekend stay. Thank you very much.
