Shout out to Charlotte, who was as ever, very welcoming and friendly. If only everyone in hospitality was like this! We had a lovely lunch, with what I still determine to be the best Full English anywhere, and very reasonably priced. The quality of both the ingredients and the way it's cooked is high. Having had a number of different dishes from here before, the menu choice is very good, portion size very good, and priced reasonably. It is also set in the most beautiful part of town, on the Lion and Lamb Walk!

We stopped in for a coffee and light bite on a Saturday late lunchtime and had a really great experience. A table outside had just become available so we sat out in the sun and were well looked after. Drinks and food both came in good time and the club sandwich was really good; arguably one of the best I’ve had. The coffee wasn’t to my liking but my partner and mum really liked it so I’ll put that down to my personal preference. Would definitely revisit if back in the area for lunch.

We love coming here for brunch. Best vegan breakfast in the area, amazing mushrooms with spinach. Also, the bacon is so good we asked where they get it from. Service with a smile. Highly recommend it.

It was a nice atmosphere. I had advocado on toast. I didn't like it much because it was mushed to pulp, only because I prefer my advocado more lumpy. My friend had a toasted sandwich which looked lovely. It was busy so obviously a popular place

Disappointed with several aspects of our visit in Saturday 9th March. It was not overly busy but service was poor and the hostess who sat us down was very abrupt. Second waitress who served us was sniffing constantly and kept wiping her nose on the back of her hand. I had ordered the brie, bacon & cranberry baguette. When it arrived I asked for the cranberry and was told it was already in it. There appeared to be only the thinnest smear of cranberry wiped on the bread so when I asked for more, I waited and waited then had to call the waitress back to ask if it was coming and was told "they'd run out". They automatically added 10% service to the bill. We had to ask for that to be taken off because we had not had a good level of service (or the standard of staff hygiene) we'd expected. Only one member of staff appeared cheerful, helpful and efficient.

This is mine & my family’s favourite café in Farnham. Superb food & drinks, excellent service every time. Prices reasonable for the quality you get back. There’s a good reason why we keep coming back! 5*s

We hosted my sister's hen party in the private room upstairs. Magdalena was so accommodating and helpful right from start to finish. The staff on the day were also very friendly and the room was really pretty too. We had afternoon tea which was delightful...especially the cakes. Would highly recommend for a private function, or if just visiting Farnham :)

I've been coming to this cafe for breakfast and brunch for years now. The food is great, and the pricing is extremely reasonable, and hasn't increased over the last three years or so. The staff are lovely and welcoming, and the service is pretty fast. The dining area is homely and comfortable, with outdoor seating where one can enjoy the beautiful cobbled streets of lion and lamb walk. I can't recommend this place enough, it is a staple for me, and I will continue to come back again and again.

When the food eventually arrived it was really good, but we had a 40 minute wait for a main and a bowl of soup. People managed to come, eat and go in the time we were waiting for our food. Not good enough. Won’t return. No apology, nothing.

We (3 of us) had never been here before and so we thought we would pop in for a bite to eat Sunday lunch time. We were greeted by lovely friendly staff, it was soo busy but we decided to wait. Within 10 minutes we were seated. Good choice of food and drinks and reasonable priced. Food was presented in a timely fashion and tasted lovely. I ordered the Caesar salad and was not prepared for the amount of chicken, bacon, anchovies, boiled egg, cheese, crutons, lettuce that was on my plate, it was a mountain. Tasted so good. Quality of food, atmosphere and service 10/10 - couldn't fault the place and will definitely be returning visitors!!

We've been frequenting this place for breakfast for more than three years now, and our love for it only grows stronger with each visit. The team here is exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home every time. Not to mention, the food they serve is simply delightful, leaving us craving for more.

Must have been an off day but really disappointed with food. We’ve been a few other times a few years ago and its been good. Two fish finger sandwiches, with a tartar sauce that had so much garlic, I’m still feeling a bit sick from it! The chips had a strong odour and taste of old oil. The waitresses looked rushed off their feet and stressed so didn’t have the guts to say this!

I have never had such a dreadful experience. Was ordered to wait on the window ledge. After waiting 20 minutes we asked about our table and the waitress was so rude we walked out. No atmosphere and most of the customers looked miserable

What a horrible horrible experience is was to enter this place. I came in with my mum and my daughter who was in her buggy asleep. The lady instantly came over and told me to move my buggy away as it was breaching health and safety! I said I would like her next to me as she is small and do not want her by the counter away where everyone would be walking. She replied and just said no. I then said I would need a highchair and she looked at me and said ' Well not now you don't as your daughter is sleeping'. She then said 'We need the table back in an hour ok' and walked off. Me and my mum both left without ordering. This is not the first time this lady has been like this but I thought I would give it another try. Do not go here if you want a nice experience and wanting a child friendly place. Baffles me why this lady is even in hospitality.

Absolutely first class breakfast, great ingredients (especially the bacon and sausages), beautifully cooked.

Excellent produce, superbly cooked with superb service. Every element of my cooked breakfast was cooked perfectly and the quality of the ingredients plain to see (and taste). The bacon was just salty enough for my taste, the sausage was meaty and the fresh tomato, hash browns and fried egg, all really good and tasty.

We hosted an afternoon tea for my daughter's first birthday in the private room and had a fantastic experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend!

The first visit was perfect, hot coffee, hot fresh thick cut non Salty bacon, friendly happy service. 2nd visit on Sunday 3rd December, hot coffee, but the egg was very over done, the bacon was somewhat hard and the bap seemed dry and over toasted, arrived lukewarm at best.

We had a 1st birthday party here, and it was highly enjoyable. We had some balloons as decorations but the room was already very pretty. The afternoon tea was very tasty and it was good price for the number of people we had. Service was great, our staff was extremely helpful and patient, all in good spirit.

Awful! Went here for lunch and the food was awful….both of our meals were, it wasn’t just one. Food was cold, scrambled eggs cold, poached egg yolks were hard boiled and cold and salmon not great quality…had grey bits. Honestly I wouldn’t go here again. I did mention it to the waitress just for honest feedback and they took price of our drinks off the bill which was something. Plenty other options to try in Farnham.

My favourite coffee shop across the road Coffee Diem didn’t have any food left for lunch so wondered into here. Such a lovely, cosy atmosphere and really enjoyed the food. I had the aubergine ciabatta and it was so delish! Raving to my husband that I need to bring him here too. Great experience!

The café looks lovely and the staff were very welcoming. It was busy on a weekday lunchtime but not full, meaning we were seated quickly. I got the fish finger sandwich with fries and, sadly, I was really disappointed by the quality. The bread was white sliced bread, cheap fish fingers and iceberg lettuce. For the price of £9.50 this seemed poor value and didn’t taste great.

We went for lunch here today and ordered a couple Fish finger sandwiches and a burger. The sandwiches were a massive disappointment as the bread was only a standard shop bought loaf and shop bought frozen fish fingers and I asked for the Sweet potato fries instead of the fries that came with it, I was advised of the price difference (£1 different on the menu) which I was expecting but charged £1.50 for the swap which is ridiculous. £11 for that monstrosity…wow Our server Charlotte was fantastic and couldn’t apologise enough and also offered to get something different but it was already too late as not only did I not want to waste what was already cooked but the third person would’ve been eating on their own. I asked to use the toilet (using a white cane) and was told there were up some awkward winding stair and told to just be careful so not disabled friendly either. We will not be going back.

Do NOT bother, there are so many much friendlier and nicer cafes in Farnham. My daughters booked and afternoon tea here for my birthday. They chose here as it was a placed we’d brought my mum and she had very recently passed away. We thought it would mean she was wish us. On arrival we were told that we’d booked a normal lunch table not afternoon tea. After numerous times of being told if was our fault we decided to leave. The Manager , well if you could call her that. Rude, showed no empathy and had no idea whatsoever what customer service is. A tip if there is miscommunication maybe offer to rebook or even push the boat out and offer a slice of cake. I will NEVER return and suggest no one else does. They could have saved the loss of customers by just showing empathy and being kind. If we’d read the reviews we would’ve seen how many others said the same. We went to Lost Boy. Lunch was lovely and service was great..thank you for saving our day. Reunited by Lion & Lamb COTE is lovely and opposite. AVOID LION AND LAMB AT ALL COST

Food is incredibly tasty, can’t recommend enough. Priced very reasonably, we had a huge Caesar salad and pulled pork burger, both were great but the honestly best Caesar I’ve ever had! Staff were really friendly and they also didn’t turn us away when we arrived two minutes before the kitchen closed - on a Sunday. Go - you won’t be disappointed!

I have never experienced staff who are as rude and arrogant as this lot .prices are way over the top and they have the cheek to add a service charge to the bill and need to grasp the meaning of service avoid this place and go somewhere else

We’ve been here numerous times before and it’s been very good. It seems they have changed the menu from grilled chicken breast to chicken thigh? I didn’t expect my chicken and bacon sandwich to be thigh and the chicken cesar salad was also thigh, where before it has been grilled breast. It’s such a shame, not sure if this is about cutting costs or something else but they’ve gone from a solid 5/5 to 2/5 at best. Just be aware if you haven’t been here for a few months and liked the chicken dishes.

We had a very pleasant lunch here this week. We enjoyed the food. The service was good and the food tasty but we were most surprised and shocked to find we had been charged £1.50 for a tiny dish of extra dressing for the Caesar salad that we requested. There must have been about 20mls of dressing and we find it hard to understand how this could be justified.we will not be returning

Stopped here for lunch after an UCA Open Day. Sat outside in the summer sun - luckily the awning kept us in the shade! I had the tacos and my daughter the burger. She said it was very good and my tacos the same. Everything tasted fresh and the right amount for a lunch. I also had the carrot juice which was yummy too. Service was good and it’s a great spot for people watching!

Lovely staff, amazing food at a reasonable price. You'll definitely be getting your bang for your buck here. Located on a beautiful cobbled Street between the university and town centre, it has a good amount of foot traffic without it being too distracting or crowded. A truly wonderful ambience.

Good food, clean surroundings, nice part of town.

Went there on a Sunday for breakfast and been waiting 45min to get a coffee, and more than a 1.15h to get food. No dogs allowed inside unfortunately, so have been freezing outside the whole time.

Absolutely horrible experience. We waited for over 1.5hrs for breakfast. Food was okay. When confronted on timing, no real answer. They tried to make up with some free stuff, which honestly doesn’t help when you are just hungry. Just poor organisation and service, wouldn’t recommend...

So we left after forty minutes of waiting for our order. We were seated but not acknowledged for a long while, servers glancing over at our empty table. I understand Sunday is busy and food takes a while but it certainly doesn’t take that long to make a coffee, water and milkshake.
