Bang average to be honest. Fish was OK albeit not very fresh, most of the chips were on although there were some scraggy ends. Worst thing was being charged 80p for bag of batter. Total rip off.

food absaluteley horrible.. parrot with no toppings due to it sliding off.. chips half cooked, chicken tasted like a lidl turkey dinosaur, pizza very dry and bland. wont be ordering again

Best Cod & chips I've had in a long time. It was beautiful and still nice and hot when it arrived. I would definitely recommend them.

The gravy is far too thick and salty, not the best. Battered sausage was okay, but again salty. Chips were little bits, not the best tbh. I don’t know why I order, as I’m always disappointed.

I was sceptical after reading reviews but food was honestly delicious and the deals they have on during the week to which the lovely lads informed me of are by far the best in the area

I must say I had a delivery on Good Friday and I was surprised on how they managed to get my food to me within one hour. I could ordered a pizza as well as fish and chips. Lovely staff every time I go to collect or order from the shop,been going to this shop for the past 25 years and I have never had any problems.🙏

No food has turned up after over 2 hours

Food was cold, an hour late and not at all worth the high price. I paid £6.20 for cod bites and received 2 small bites and a handful of chips. Tried to call restaurant but phone is clearly switched off. Absolute robbery

The app indicates our order was delivered but it never actually arrived. When we tried phoning the restaurant there was no answer and when we tried driving there to pick the food up ourselves, they were closed. We’re very disappointed about this

Food arrived early but was cold and chips were scrap pieces , sausage was dry and freezing , used merrils a few times but won’t be returning

I normally have a quality experience with Merrills but my last order has prompted me not to use either Merrills or just eat ever again, take a look at how often I use both. Food was late and cold and no acceptable response from either Merrills or just eat, over £20 wasted.

Food was 25 minutes early my the chips were a mess. Very few actual chips, the rest were thin slivers. The chocolate was not worth the £4:20 and it was very dry. Not very impressed at all

Chips were not hot lukewarm not as good as normal and had to go outside to fetch it did not deliver to my door , driver needs to get out his car and bring to the door that’s what the delivery fee is for

Great service and delicious hot food - never fails

Just awful. After 4-5 years we went there at 4.45pm, there was a load of fish ready pre-cooked and only me to serve, the girl taking the order I could hardly understand. Got the order, (wasn’t asked if we wanted salt or vinegar on them) took home (exactly 4 minutes away), opened them up. Fish, chips and mushy peas, all lukewarm at best. Never again. They have on the walls pictures of awards ( when the owners were different to today) from back in the 1980/90s I think. I can’t imagine that they’ll get any such awards again.

Been here numerous times before and couldn’t fault it! However, waited over and hour for delivery, rang up just as order was placed, to change garlic for gravy. They said they could do it! When it finally arrived, the chips were soggy and opened the sauce and it was garlic! Even thought we had asked for gravy!

Waited over 2 hours for food. Called twice and was told the food was on its way an hour ago with no apology for the delay, and still waiting.

It was delivered almost 2 hours after ordering and was warm to the touch instead of hot. I had to ring after we had waited an hour and a half to be told they were 2 drivers and 1 staff member short. An accurate wait time before ordering would be more suitable as we would not have ordered.

Kebab meat freezing cold, pizza freezing cold, chips freezing cold. Was not interested in putting this right. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Fish tasted stale and chips very greasy, ordered chicken kebab but got a chicken wrap, the chicken tasted rubbery like it had been microwaved rather than grilled. All in all very poor food.

Well a ordered for my sons but my son only told me there he got a cheesy garlic bread when a ordered him a chicken tikka pizza which am not very happy about us a paid for the pizza and not a garlic bread a would of rang up last night but a was out and he only told me today when he’s came in still gave 5 stars as the food lovely just disappointed about the pizza / garlic bread situation

Waited an hour for kebab meat and chips! Eventually came and was cold!! Kebab meat was solid! did not enjoy it at all.. most of it went in the bin! What a waste of £13!! I won’t be ordering again

The food I received wasn't my order, I rang the store and driver brought my food and took back the other food, my food had been opened and was cold, not at all what I would expect for £26, I had to microwave everything to give my grandchildren something to eat for tea

Long time since I was in merrills But I will not be going back Fish bites soggy, chips all ends and curry sauce was watery, Nothing like the merrills it use to be

Ordered a chicken kebab, expecting it to be chicken breast and it wasnt. No pitta bread either with the order, just a thin wrap and all of the meat was marinated in some mushy garlic sort of paste. The worst chicken kebab I've had and we normally order other stuff from here, won't be going back.

Not my normal place of ordering and won't be ordering again... Ordered at around 7:30 (stake pie & chips, curry chip butty with extra curry sauce) and it didn't arrive till just after 10!!! And it was only slightly warm, curry sauce was more like water and it just tasted vile.. curry chip butty looked like it was just slammed on the paper and crushed, chips were so tasteless and more like cardboard... Very disappointed
