Melton Johns in Glasgow City

My first time trying this place and I was not disappointed. Food was delicious and great portions. The staff were so friendly. A little hidden gem ❤️

Just tried this place for the first time tonight with my friend. I had the salt and chilli chip/mac and cheese wrap and my friends had the huge chicken/mac and cheese burger with loaded fries. The place was super busy with orders but the staff were apologetic and worked quickly to get our order. The food was great quality and the portions were huge. Very reasonably and will definitely visit again to try other things. (The toasties being made looked amazing)

I strolled in for a munch right when it was full of lunchtime high school kids. The excellent staff had them served and out in nae time. Food was great too ✌

Small portions and there was barely any cheese on the baked potato would not recommend

Tried to go In and sit today about 1.30pm wanted milkshakes and burgers but when I asked if it was ok to sit in I was told the table and chairs were for the staff only so definitely not a sit in cafe, disappointed is an understatement, I think the lady was just being lazy.

Ive came to get my usual chicken and buffalo sauce just to find out they changed it, The new one is disgusting i wouldnt recommend.

Food never turned up worst place ever 22 pound right into there pockets 🤬🤬

I went in there tonight I found the counter staff very rude.

Found it a joke being asked to pay a £1 to sit on top of the price of a coffee,promptly turned and left never heard such nonsense all my life,😳😳😳

The shakes are a let down. Good rule of thumb, if the staff are unsure avout how much ice-cream is in each size, then they haven't been told how to make them to a good standard, so it wont be. Too much milk, too little ice cream and dont bother with the skooshy cream, it ruins the end of the shake

We ordered the food it was disgusting, there was hairs in the 'full' breakfast, half the food was undercooked the other half was over cooked, our toasties didn't even look like they'd seen any amount of heat, wrong and missing items, cookie dough that was thrown in a box and clearly hadn't been mixed right, it was a complete waste of money for what barely could pass as food

Ordered delivery after 2 hours of waiting phoned restaurant and the girl was very rude hanged up phone on me won't recommend this place at all.

This is a gem we found sick of normal takeaway wanting food that is tasty and a good price and can across melton johns and wow my kids ate the whole burger and chips beautiful food already telling everyone. Churros we’re good needs a little sugar dusting on top and Nutella sauce then it will be the most amazing place ever. Thank you. Decent price not to expensive food cooked to perfection

Cheap and nasty reheated food coz the staff are to lazy to prepare to order you do get something half edible if the boss is around

the food is terrible, it's fried in old oil, really the food is worth nothing, I got poisoned for about 3 days where is the health department why no one will take care of them! they should shut down the place!

Popped into this little place after a visit to hospital. I had a Groupon deal for a slice of cake and a Slushie. The female assistants were lovely, and as it was a dull morning, I asked if I could have a tea, instead of a Slushie. This was no problem. I was told to help myself to a slice of cake, all separate in plastic containers. The slices of cake were huge! There was Red Velvet, Chocolate Fudge, Birthday cake. I chose the Birthday Cake. I grabbed a seat and was told to take as long as I liked, and chill. So friendly!... The cake was delicious, and the tea was great too... I stayed about half an hour, reading. Nice to chill. Had to take half of my cake home! Very generous slices. A great little deal. If you don't fancy a Slushie, I would ask for an alternative... The girls were more than happy to oblige. Great little cafe...I'll be buying another deal!!!

Not happy with my order, burger overcooked chips soggy and cold. Won't be back...And if I'd known this place had been shut down twice beforehand for health code violation I wouldn't have stepped foot in the place..FACT....

Can't really comment on the atmosphere as we ordered cake and slushies to go. But great service, friendly staff and delicious cake 😋

Quality was great but has dropped off massively.

Myself and workmate order tuna pasta, mayo was either off or they mixed mustard with it, either way it was disgusting and went in the bin.

Ordered a pull pork hotdog and chips, only stay 2 minutes from shop the hotdog was stone cold.

Absolutely appalling ....avoid thos place at all costs ...2nd time we have given them a chance .....first time two of the 4 milkshakes arrived completely spilled, food was freezing with one of the orders missing. This latest order arrived and was supposed to be Balmoral loaded fries. It arrived without a single frie in sight ... actually 4 pieces of chicken in sauce. When we complained we were told this is how it comes. Totally ripped off

HIDDEN GEM of govan! The burgers absolutely slaps tf out of any Indian, American food places👋🏽 I always get the newyorker which is a chicken burger with onion rings, basic salad L/T. And the Cajun fries omg 🤤. I also live there single maw or da meal deal. Not many places do this so big up for the owners to include every parent! Always get it delivered and never been a problem. Price is amazing and dreading it when it goes up due to COL crisis but I'll STILL buy from here coz it's THAT amazeballs 🥰. Thank you for making REAL burgers 😍. ✌🏽Out

Ordered a chilli hotdog chilli tasted of bologna no heat of chilli what so ever ordered fries got spicy potato wedges hate the things all in all crap

I’ve eaten from here before and it was excellent but today it was beyond awful. Tuna totally drowned in mayonnaise, in fact it should have been call Mayo with tuna. Hardly any Tuna in baked potato and panini and panini wasn’t toasted. Chips weren’t cooked right. Awful.

Over an hour and a half for a lunchtime order, not sure if it's uber eats fault or not but no apology or explanation from the cafe when calling to see what's happening, food average, big veiny bit in the chicken put me off half way thru so got binned, wouldn't order or recommend again, 1st and last order.

Spent over £40 on a delivery , which we waited over 2 hours for them to get a driver which they said the food would be cooked fresh when they got a driver we’ll that was a lie the food came , it was so soggy absolutely awful had clearly being made when called had to put in bin so wasted that money on food to be put straight in the bin

Just received order from Melton John's some of the order missing when I phoned to complain the young boy made me out to be lying, I won't ever order from this shop again.

Spent £80 on an order!! Items missing & called @ the wee girl who answered called me a liar! Spent all that money & wouldn’t lie about a £5 item! Customer service is disgusting! Was also a hair in the sauce!!

A year ago I would have probably gave meltons a 5 star rating but since then the quality has went downhill and there seems to be incorrect orders recently. Still not bad for a quick roll if passing, more burger van quality than anything else.

Was really disappointed with this wee place thought it was going to be a gem.. Ordered a burger and was partially uncooked, onion rings salad sauce chips etc where lovely however the burger really let the meal down, Mrs had the meatball melt that was 👍🏻

What can I say? Poor. Terrible quality. Bacon uncooked..... considering i asked for it crispy. Links barely cooked and the cheapest and low quality possible. Generally all over terrible quality and not cooked.

Ordered cheese and onion toastie,onion rings,chipsand hot dog.No chips or onions rings available. Asked for onions only in hot dog.Order taken home and toastie was floppy(first time seen this).Now we get to hot dog, not in hot dig roll but a panini,no onions but covered in tomato sauce.Put my own onions in and mustard.Went to eat same and hot dog sausage fell on floor .Never again.

My husband ordered the Balmoral burger with Cajun fries, he described it as sexy.. The dude loves a chimken burger and has rules about the how's and what's, but he threw the rule book out the window with this order, and fortune favoured the brave. It was delicious. I tasted it and the chimken still crispy, flavoursome coating and generous haggis patty, the peppercorn sauce was the perfect boo thang. The cajun fries too, lovely and crisp, the seasoning proper and not that nasty cheap tasting seasoning that kills your taste buds. I had the peppercorn melt on a beef burger, it was indeed a tasty burger, but didn't quite reach a 5stars for me. Needed more cheese to be a "melt", it was stingy, the patty well cooked but a little bland, the peppercorn sauce was nice but there wasn't enough meaty flavour in the party to stand up to it, and the onion rings, sogged, added stodge rather than texture or flavour. It needed more texture and maybe more meat (holla atcha bacon) and definitely more cheese. I'm being picky. It was still a good burger. Melton John's is also incredible value. You must give it a try, they deserve the praise.

Ordered 2 burgers with fries and dips, a side with a dip included (as advertised) and a dessert. Never received the dessert or the dips on any part of the order. Very disappointing.

Decent grub but need to ask for extras, they won't give you any lettuce/tomato etc unless you ask specifically for it, despite the toppings being listed on the menu.

Order a full breakfast was an OK price could not fone direct but had 2 use the uber eat not happy with as they over charge .. same as just eat. £10 to get a delivery is a bit steap for a breakfast. I can't leave the building an looking fir a gd service. I'm not sure that this is it. They need 2 rethink ther charges it's putting people off I start at 6 am. I wanted a breakfast at 7 not at 11 am so thats y the 3 stars they have got.. I did fone the shop n ask for delivery at the time stated . It got knocked back by the youmg girl an hang up. Said I need to use the app....

The staff here are excellent. If the staff are good, normally everything else falls into place, and after my visit here, this was proved again. Great food, great staff - well done.

Dropped of at Melton John's on my way down from Durness in Sutherland, yes a fair distance! But I had heard about this place from friends who have stopped by for food. I must say...the quality of food is quite frankly amazing, clean crisp and fresh. The high quality of the product does not reflect in the cost, while the food quality is of a very high standard, the value of the food is more than reasonable, no expensive prices, I would say that the prices are too cheap, but I am not complaining. Will visit again when I am through as every bite was worth the journey.

Best burger I've had in a long-time!!! Portions are really generous. Nacho cheese is UNREAL. Staff were very friends and were genuinely appreciative for the custom 🙌

Without a doubt, these are the best burgers I have ever eaten. Delicious combinations and seasoning plus plentiful of fresh ingredients. And very reasonably priced
