Campus in Glasgow City

Attended this venue on 02/01/2024 due to prior concerns upon consultation with associates that my friends inside the venue were potentially unsafe, the bouncers at the door white male ‘Andy’ and unidentified black female utilised unjustifiably physical force in the public area upon me not consenting to aforementioned engagement. Andy advised this was all recorded and therefore under The Data Protection Act 2018 a subject access request (SAR) will be made to obtain the footage and report this as an SIA badge violation and additionally a breach of the licensed premises act. I am a solicitor and I can undoubtedly say these SIA licensed stewards utilised illegal force and committed assault with intent to remove me from a public area after I cooperatively left the licensed premises. Police Scotland will be contacted to address the aforementioned concerns.

The security guy at the door was very rude and non polite (medium size, ginger hair and beard). Honestly rude for no reason with us, haughty attitude and even threatening. Will not go again and wouldn't recommend it.

Bought drinks and was kicked out before we even got to drink them because I've got a wanted poster in there haha, I've gave it chance after chance and I will happily not be returning yous owe me 2 drinks

I came for a bachata event on Saturday February 4th. I went outside to get some fresh air for 15 minutes, then when I came back at 1 a.m., the two bouncers refused me access even though I still had the bracelet from the evening on my wrist. They were not understanding and abused their power. It's not fair, they were horrible and ruined my evening. I wouldn't recommend this place for anything.

We came for the bachata/salsa/kizomba evening on the first floor and paid entry. They put a bracelet on our arms. The evening went very well. Then we went out for 20 minutes and then came back with the bracelet. The red-headed bouncer refused us entry bluntly and without giving a reason. When we spoke to his sidekick, he told us he had no reason to give and would not change his mind. We are very disappointed because the bouncers ruined the evening for us. The bouncers are really horrible and aggressive.

Good morning, We arrived at Campus not having drunk a drop of alcohol, however, the security guards stopped us saying that we were tired, it's not normal not to enjoy an evening in Glasgow! To avoid

Around 6 months ago, I tried to gain entry into Campus. I found one of the bouncers (had red hair) extremely rude. I was not allowed to enter the premises myself, despite the fact I had friends already in the premises. I was told that I had to get one of my friends to come outside and meet me, and then justify to the bouncers that they knew me. I understand that if these are the rules for entry into nightclubs or perhaps specifically Campus then that’s fair enough. I tried phoning my pals and got no response as the music was too loud, showed texts from my pals to the bouncers to prove they were in Campus. My pals eventually responded to their phone but couldn’t hear me speak, and to prove they were in campus, I allowed the bouncer in question to hear the noise coming from the other end of the phone. This noise was an echo of the music playing in campus (that myself and the bouncer in question could very clearly hear), therefore there was absolutely no doubt that my friends were in campus at that time. However, instead of being sympathetic towards my situation and listening to my concerns (which I thought were reasonable), the bouncer responded to this by being extremely rude and said “I don’t think you heard me clearly enough”. I could see one of my friends in the distance and asked if he could approach them and ask them to come over and identify me. However this was met with a resounding no too (clearly seemed he was trying his absolute hardest to leave me outside myself for the rest of the night). I hadn’t drank a lot prior to this, I can remember it clearly (and it was around 6 months ago!). I was not acting in a drunken and disorderly manner, even after he was being extremely rude to me. I was actually being overly polite as I can sympathise that being a bouncer on a Saturday night may be a difficult job at times. However, it seemed that being nice to him seemed to make him even more aggressive and condescending. Eventually my pals came to the door, and was allowed in. Even at this point when my pals clearly identified who I was, it seemed this particular bouncer was trying everything in his power to not let me in. He asked my pals several times if they knew who I was, which I felt was completely unnecessary, and it seemed he begrudgingly let me in. I can honestly say there was no reason for him to act in that way based on my actions, he was trying to act the hard man for no reason other than to appear powerful, which I think is a very bad look for your bar. Bearing in mind, there was no capacity issue and there wasn’t any queue behind me so I was hardly holding up any of his or any potential customers’ time. Don’t even bother trying to get in here unless you want to put up a major fight for entry. Put a real dampener on what could have been a great night out, so thanks very much. Your bouncer’s complete arrogance has lost you a few customers 👏🏻

Well, I don’t know how to start… turn It was absolutely horrible…they literally ruined our nigh…Such a nightmare... There was a game on that night and we just got it wrong with another game... We thought we should tell them the singer’s name but apparently their game was different with what we were thinking and then suddenly the pub manager came to us and shouted so badly that I’ll kick you out if you shout more… without any error and that was absolutely shocking and super disrespectful. I couldn’t believe someone may do such a behaviour in a pub let alone a manager of a pub or a club. She was so nasty and racist; I wish I could see the area manager to report such a behaviour and I think I wanna follow it up even. And to my surprise when we talked, and I asked the reason of her behaviour she even didn’t bother to ask apologise and rudely told us I’ I’ll kick you out if you keep talking and I can’t believe someone can be as much rude and disrespectful as this. I even tried to explain to her that I didn’t know how the game works but she kept being so nasty. She even asked the bar not to sell us any alcohol although we were not even close to being drunk; and she didn’t let my 20 year old brother to come in the club… I think it takes a while to forget such a horrible experience; that is why I came here to write a review to avoid it happening for the others… The only thing is that I know is that I’ll never go back to this club and I wanted to make sure to inform the others to know how miserable you may feel at the end of the night if you go there. I was there at 9:30 on 8th of October 2023 and they can check the camera and see how nasty she behaved with us.

Great place come here often always a great night out, great prices and a brilliant atmosphere although last night I had handed my jacket in to the cloak room and about 50 minutes later went to pick it up and the girl working at the cloak room was trying to give me some black womens jacket that clearly wasn't mine and then when I showed her the jacket I was wearing in a photograph they claimed they "didn't have it", this was a really stressful and frustrating situation as it was a £500 jacket and not something I could really afford to lose so I had to stand about for 20 minutes while they checked the cameras only for the security guard to interfere, walk into the cloak room and return my jacket within 2 seconds so it was clearly there the whole time - Honestly think the 2 women working the cloak room that night were upto something dodgy maybe trying to sell on the jackets (no clue tbh just had a bad feeling about the way it was dealt with) the fact they said they didn't have my jacket and were telling me that wasn't the jacket I gave them when it was only 50 minutes prior I had handed it over and they'd seen me wearing it only for the security guard to find it within 2 seconds... Dodgy lol don't recommend handing anything over to the cloak room the anxiety, panic and stress I experienced thinking they'd lost my jacket or handed it over to someone else was horrible. Thanks to the ginger security dude for saving my night lol guys an absolute lifesaver

On the 20th may 2023 I and my friend were refused entry as part of a stag party without reasoning from the bouncers. I feel it was because of my need of using a crutch. Myself and my friends were all embarrassed at the situation and promptly left. After seeing similar stories online I’d like to advise anyone with any sort of disability to not attempt to gain entry as you won’t be allowed in.

The only reason this place is getting 1 star is for the atmosphere created by the clientele. I was there for the European final and had to endure some of the workers celebrating when the only Scottish team that made it through in Europe had a goal scored against them. Only on this part of Scotland is that behaviour acceptable, it is an absolute disgrace and no wonder Scottish football is the way it is. If you don't like the team then keep yourself distanced instead of apologising when you are called up for your behaviour. DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR FROM SOME OF THE STAFF. The food was atrocious also.

I really enjoyed this nightclub. unfortunately I forgot to get a stamp before I left at 11 so it cost me £7 to get back in. This is a very good place for young people who are going out on a night out especially with the great drink prices.

Drinks are reasonable with a nifty fifty. However I attended an advertised Wrestlemania event and everyone was kicked out the venue an hour before the show finished. This is apparently the second year running this has happened.

My low scoring is wholly due to the DJ in the upstairs floor. When requesting a song I got blatantly ignored, even though standing in front of him shouting excuse me, because he was too busy staring at 2 young girls in short dresses (not very professional). When I asked him for a song he gave the impression that I was bothering him but did say that he would play it. He then didn't the full night even when I asked for a second time which was very disappointing as that is why we had stayed upstairs. On a Saturday night in a nightclub to have a DJ standing regularly yawning, checking his watch and looking like he wants to kill himself isn't the best impression for a fun evening. He is massively letting down campus as the venue is amazing size wise and layout wise.The only other negative would be the drink prices - £3 for a single vodka coke OUCH!!! Served immediately at the bar however so great use of staffing levels.

They managed to organise the Eagles winning the superbowl, so it has to be 5 stars! It's a huge place with heaps of screens and bars. Good venue to watch the superbowl, but it closed at 4 which was a little annoying (we wanted to keep celebrating) but probably not a bad thing!

Typical student esk bar but don't let that put you off. It's still worth a visit. Regular drink promo's and reasonably priced food. Live sports on several screen's. DJs evenings and weekends. Open late every day.

Myself and my better half visited this sports bar not the first time. We use this bar as it has a couple of pool tables and the beer is cheap. However, on this occasion the pool tables were in a shocking state as they both had very bad "tilts" on them which ruined the games that we played. Sorry guys -get them sorted and stop robbing money off people for a rubbish facility!

Visited here with a friend. 2 drinks in I knocked over and spilled a drink, went to the bar for some paper towels and cleaned up after myself. The bar staff then wouldn't serve me for the next 2 hours before I left. Understandably they must have thought I had more to drink than I actually did, though I think this treatment was a bit excessive for such a small accident. (Especially since my absolutely p**s drunk friend was still being served just fine) Sitting, sobering up in a night club with glass after glass of water isn't a fun experience.

Entonces, él avisó a la seguridad que acercó la mesa y le dijo a mi amigo para quitar ella misma por tener demasiado para beber. Esto en sí fue una vergüenza total, teniendo en cuenta que todos tenían la misma cantidad. Gerente luego venía y no podía explicar o justificar por qué nos estamos moviendo. El club realmente da un mal nombre de Glasgow!

Yo no quería escribir una crítica negativa del Campus ya que soy un gran admirador de el club y voy con frecuencia, pero mi experiencia reciente ha sido muy mala y desagradable: más específicamente la falta de comunicación y apoyo que he recibido de personal y administración en ayudarme a localizar a mi chaqueta que faltaba.Fui a Campus el sábado por la noche y después de haber perdido mi billete para el guardarropa estaba comprensiblemente se negó mi chaqueta. Tras describir la chaqueta al encargado de detalle que sería única en mi chaqueta, me negaron y dijeron que me pusiera en contacto con Campus el día siguiente. No pude contactar con Campus en Domingo pero messaged la página de Facebook de lunes por la mañana temprano, que pidió que el teléfono del club o que de lo contrario habría respuesta sobre eso. Me llamó Campus en 1pm.Hablé con una chica que tomó una descripción de la chaqueta y me dijo que en 10 minutos, y no haber tenido una llamada telefónica intenté de nuevo a las 2 de la tarde y hablaba con la misma chica que repentinamente dijo que ella tenía no fuimos a buscar la chaqueta. Su tono había cambiado sustancialmente desde la primera llamada y como no estaba seguro de si tenía algo sucedió en la última hora que había afectado su actitud, así que se disculpó y pidió un anillo cuando ella tenía la oportunidad.Para ahorrar más evidente molestia, yo también envié la dirección de correo electrónico "info" también desea hablar con dirección en cuanto a localizar, pero aún no tenía respuesta.Llamé de nuevo el martes, conseguí a través de un contestador y dejaron un mensaje que también parece haber sido ignorados.El Miércoles decidí ir y hablar con alguien en persona en esperanza de progreso: la muchacha registró el guardarropa para mi chaqueta y que no estaba allí.El hecho de que la chaqueta era bastante caro es una cosa y el hecho de que desapareció misteriosamente durante un par de días es otra, pero esto fue agravado por la falta de ayuda proporcionada por el personal de campus y es muy decepcionante.He contactado con el club en Twitter como la cuenta parece ser un poco más activo que el de la cuenta de Facebook en la esperanza de llegar a alguien que puede ayudar. Normalmente voy al campus bastante por el concurso y la mayoría de los fines de semana. Nunca tuve un problema hasta la noche del sábado 16/09. Entramos en la cola ni siquiera tocado una bebida pero era rechazado automáticamente. Que puedo entender si me borrachos o alguien fue o incluso una explicación, pero no. Cuando preguntó por qué el bouncer dijo "no necesito decir el motivo, así salga de la cola". Me sentí avergonzado y constituía una flagrante falta de respeto. No había necesidad de tratarme o cualquiera parecido. Ir aquí 2 / 3 veces a la semana, no volveré. Solucionar

No understanding of the dress code

Cheeky bar staff unlhelpfull, ordered 6 flavour skittle tray for 5 pound and got 2 flavours which were rank complained 2 manager for the 6 flavours and got told what can i do only 2 flavours left... Not good enough as was still advertised as 6. Joke

Would like to put a special review of the stewards at the front door on a Tuesday night, Chris and Marcus were the friendliest stewards I've ever come across - made my night out and gave me haribos!

They have a ridiculous rule of if you leave after 12, there is no re-entry, i was wanting to get some fresh air as the place was very uncomfortably warm especially as i chose to wear a suit, but the doorman refused to let me out for 30 seconds and kept directing me to the smoking area. The smoking area was of course very smokey and there was next to no space to move, and later i had to call my friend to ask where he was but as the club was so noisy i just wanted to make a quick phonecall, also told if i exit the building i'd not get let back in, even though i was sober the entire night as i don't drink? Just extremely unreasonable, don't think i'll ever step foot in here again for that reason, most of the bouncers in glasgow just have a massive power trip

Que para nuestra comida del sábado 27 de mayo. Estábamos en una excursión desde el Norte de Irlanda. La comida era deliciosa y el personal era muy agradable. Su bebida era muy razonable, así como la comida. Me gustó la decoración y todo. Todos lo pasamos muy bien y cuando estoy de vuelta, sin duda iría de nuevo.

Me dijeron que como dos miembros diferentes de personal que bebés en cochecitos fueron permitidos en, para mi amigo luego de 40 minutos a la ciudad para luego ser dijeron en la puerta que ella no llegaba como el fútbol estaba en. Cuando había niños aquí la semana pasada con el fútbol. . . eh? ! ? ? La falta de comunicación entre el personal es claramente deficiente y es una broma que una semana está bien y el siguiente no lo es. Tenía que dejarla 2 comidas y bebidas para que ella no estaba inconcluso solos.

Absolute disgraceful service frm campus on Saturday 3rd March. Bouncer says full to capacity so we can't get in even though I had a booth booked. Then when I ask to speak to a manager he comes out and says one of us is too drunk to get in even although we clearly weren't.  So I talk about taking a picture of the bouncers to complain on Monday all of a sudden the bouncer is like oh I have made a mistake we going to let you in. Now I have heard that bouncers are like that they don't let you in but have no valid reason.  When I do finally get in they try to say I wasn't here on time for my booth. In fact I was here on time but I wasn't able to get to my table in time due to all the hassle with your bouncers. So I complained again to a manager who eventually moved someone from the table we were suppose to have. This was a night out for my boyfriends birthday. We have had some great nights in campus before but this experience has left me wondering if i will ever want to return. Wouldn't recommend it as there's a chance the bouncers won't like the colour of ur eyes or your hair and not let u in. As apparently they don't need a valid reason to not let you in. I tried to take this up with management on the Monday and was told someone would get back to me. A week later still haven't heard anything. So as I promised I will share my story with anyone that will listen as they clearly don't even want to apologise for the stress they caused on what was suppose to be a great night out.

The place looks great there's tv's for sports and pool table, etc. The menu looked fab.. however the food wasn't good, the drinks were disgusting - warm lager and spirits were jus as bad so returned for bottles instead. (Another customer done the same as my friend complained at the bar) The young staff were rude and clearly didn't want to be there! Won't return

Used a few groupon vouchers here, great value. Bought the nifty fifty cards from behind the bar, 50 off drinks n 50% off selected good can't complain at that! Better to go during the day as quieter. Would highly recommend the chicken wings!

We were at campus for cascada and for refused entry and one of the stewards said not tonight somewhere else might let your kind in even though we all had proper id and dressed smartly this isn't the first time this is happened

I like that the venue is a split between a bar and a club so its suitable for a wide variety of people. Staff are mostly friendly, prices are about the same as most clubs, what I will say is that it can be difficult to get served when its very busy but for the most part I enjoy it.

AVOID AVOID AVOID 🚨 Only place in Glasgow that you get thrown out of for being tipsy. If you want a good night out go elsewhere they will just throw you out for no reason and threaten to "smash you" won't be back. Also wasn't allowed my jacket back either when I was put out and now they are saying they don't have it 👍 Security staff need sacked!

I travelled here in september 2015 with friends for dinner and then returned that night for drinks. The dinner was alright, nothing horrible nothing fantastic. It was quick service.This place is definitely better known for the bar scene. We returned the same night with a large group and played beer pong upstairs. The main attraction was vern troyer from austin powers. The only complaint there was he showed up late but the night was still fun!

Ordered drinks at the bar from someone who had apple earphones in dancing to music, very ignorant and cheeky. Ordered food, lettuce had brown all through it and was past use by date, chicken tasted like Birdseye frozen food. Pool tables are always broken, either no white ball, no cue or no chalk or a ball missing or slanted table. This place is awful, put in a complaint and received no reply. Will never go back.

Today, 3 January my friend got kicked out by the head of the sigurity without no reason and he was acting like the manager. Short long story he got a few bussines around, he is a regular costomer and a really nice dude . We all had to leave becouse the guy at the front door didn't want to give the managers number to resolve all this. And we all are not going back without an apologive from the staff.

Estuve aquí con unos amigos hace poco, y el sitio no está mal. Lo mejor del lugar es que con los vouchers con forma de pasaporte que nos dieron, y con cada bebida que pidas te regalan una hamburguesa con queso o pizza de tomate y queso. Por lo que por menos de 4 pounds ya has cenado.

Myself & the Wife- have visited this bar previously & enjoyed our time in it on that occasion. Having managed to off load the rug rats onto my outlaws we were given an opportunity of freedom for the night- grabbed with both hands!We started our nite off in the Campus bar due to the cheap beer/ drink prices & the opportunity to enjoy a game of pool, which both of us love doing.The staff were as friendly as ever and very attentive to not only ourselves but to the other customers who were in on that particular day- well done- we will certainly be back again.

Pretty much what you would expect from a sports bar, beer,my sports memorabilia, big screens, lots more beer. Ordered food, it was fine, not amazing but cheap and did what was required.

Overall my visit was poor, it's Wednesday, 7.30 and I'm not allowed in, as I'm a single male. The policy of the place is no single males are allowed in, but as I was meeting my friends, who were already in, I could phone them to come to the door and I could enter. Then it gets worse, no ale at all to drink, so I choose Guinness, which has to rank as one of the worse punts I've ever drank. Overruled by my friends we stayed for a while longer, the drinks did not improve. We then had the privilege of a security guard, watching over us as we drank.This is a place which does not care about its clientel, stay clear and find somewhere else.

Cheap drinks, but god, at what cost? Come here if you enjoy dodgy bouncers, inexperienced bar staff and awful playlists. Having my (warm) corona poured into a plastic pint glass because the staff are worried their customers will glass each other with the bottles was definitely the highlight of my night here.

This was my first time to campus and I loved the style of it. I booked our meal on Groupon so we had burger, chips a beer and a cocktail. The food was lovely and the drinks were too. We will defo be back

Both the food and drink are very well priced especially with a nifty fifty card! It's also a nice place to sit down and watch some sport.However the quality of the food isn't great

Went with a friend for food and a few cocktails. It is in a much nicer venue now than the previous and no sticky floors!!! When we arrived it was quite busy as the football was on which we didn't know about (it's a sports bar) so it was really loud.We decided to stay and ordered yard cocktails. First cocktail is £7 (and you get to keep the yard) and each one after that is £5 which is good value. The American pie cocktail is nice but quite sweet. We decided on burgers I had the beef and my friend had the chicken. No complaints, both tasty and it came with plenty of chips and a tub of coleslaw. During the week you also get cheap drink deals. I will be back as I've never had a bad experience here.

Asked to pay £6 each when entering on a Friday night. Said no and the manager grabbed us and said where you from, we said Edinburgh, he said folks from Edinburgh get in for free. Went to bar and asked for 2 x vodka redbulls. You can have doubles for the same price, we said thanks, total price was £9. Went to bottom bar later and the price was £14 asking for the same drink. Music was nae bad and everyone was having a good time. Quiet on a Friday night and is totally a student boozer. Seems there is a different pricing policy depending where you're from and what you are drinking?????

Had the most amazing meal, all cooked fresh,and the staff are so friendly I'd highly recommend this place to eat and relax
