Megna in Hyndburn

Had chicken tikka wrap tonight it was way way to hot to much spice burnt my mouth inedible.

The best curry ever. Lamb karahi. I’ve eaten about 5000 curries in my time ( I’m 54) try it , top top top Thankyou

Absolutely the best curry house around. Great customer service, excellent quality food. And the delivery driver friendly and very well mannered.

Never again tasteless ordered chicken bhuna it was like left over from days before .

On Friday 3rd ordered takeaway we order once a month and its normally fantastic i can only assume chef didn't turn up was honestly worse one I've had from there that bad we are looking at other Indian for next takeaway all 4 meals were tasteless and masala actually tasted like tomatoe soup . Sorry just not good experience this time

Used megna for over 10yrs ,just had delivery and if this now is there standard ,you need to buck your ideas .food was bland and not that hot also arrived with no rice,

First and last order from us. Poppadums tasted of stale oil, mint dip more like chilli, tasteless curry and bland bahjis. A lot to pay to feed the bin 🥹

Usually I don't have a problem with megna but today I paid £5.90 for a tika wrap and when I spent £3.50 delivery my wrap had about 7 pieces of chicken inside. My partner rang them back and asked for a refund or a replacement, she was told no. When she mentioned the amount of chicken they told her prices have gone up and she said yes I know because its £1 more than usual so if we are paying more why has the portion gone down? He said because prices have gone up then basically making out he couldn't understand us properly, forcing my partner to become frustrated and hang up.

Megna is easily the best Indian Takeaway in this area in my opinion. I find the food to always be well cooked, excellent taste and texture, and when I request delivery their arrival times (and temperature on arrival) are always on point. Food is well-priced and the staff are courteous and professional.

I asked for tika off the bone and it came on it. Rice was chewy undercooked. Don't know what happened as its usually very good. Prices have increased and I was charged for delivery even in same town as take away.

Really poor curry ordered chicken madras and chicken saag, both flavourless rubbish to be honest. I called to complain and they weren't bothered in the slightest no tea for us tonight and 14 pound down..... never again!

Always been great have ordered from them for years Spent £51 tonight and order was wrong which happens Rang them to tell them and got proper attitude and phone slammed down on me Last time I order from them which is a shame after all these years

Meals where lovely and hot and alot of chicken in but in the 30yrs we been buying indian takeaways we have never been charged £1 extra anywhere else for asking for our meal to be Phal strength.

Slightly disappointed with my meal tonight from megna ordered King prawn tikka biriani and got tasteless shrimp biriani won't be ordering that again but apart from this usually good

Impressed with Megna is an understantment. If u don't try takeaway from here you dont know wot ur missing.I rang at 4.45, and asked for it to be delivered at 6.30. On the dot, red hot and a really nice polite young chap came up and put it in kitchen for me. Delicious, juicy chicken tikka masala and chip's and, my faddy, my way madras sauce too. OMG love love love all of it. Thank you xx

No complaints really but very average and my wife is put off by the state of the second floor of the property, it looks dirty and hopefully it is not a place where they store food? We would order here again but they need to add less sugar to some currys and provide bigger meat portions.

We have ordered from here a lot although this time the food as not the same good quality. We paid a bit more for a special but were surprised that it was just a curry which was very sweet, probably some mango chutney added?

Great curries at reasonable prices very tasty food service clean and friendly service the kebab rolls are recommended as is the currys.

It was the first time we ordered here. The food was fabtastic and tasted really authentic, so much better than othertakeaways. Fresh veg and juicy meat in all our dishes. We will definately order again!

Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time using just eat. We always walk past this place and mention we need to try it and we are sorry that we have left it so long! Ordered a set menu for two which had great variety for an excellent price. It came well before the delivery time and the food was piping hot and of excellent quality. Wasn’t expecting the variety of dips we got for the starters and poppadoms which included onion, spicy sauce, lettuce and the old favourite of mango chutney. Portions were big with lots of meat as well for the main courses. This will now be our new regular!

We ordered a take away from the megna which we have ordered from before and which usually we have enjoyed but this time our experince was different.We ordered online and ordered 3 different types of curry which all according to the menu came with either chips chappti or pilau rice but we were not asked which of the 3 we wanted during the order process so at the end in the special recommendation section I requested 3 pilau rice but when the order arrived there was only one box of rice and there were 3 people eating.I rang up and the man made out that it was my fault but did deliver 2 more boxes half an hour later but the rice was under cooked.My son and I had orded different lamb curries and we got the same curry so it would seem that if you order lamb you just get that one.It too was under cooked and hard and chewy.I will not be wasteing my money on there again!!!!!!!

Ordered three traditional curries from Megna, it's been over 7 years since the last; amazingly surprised in the good quality, quantity of meat provided. deliciously tasty, very hot when arrived, definitely nice and fresh, portions really good. highly recommend this Indian as the service was delivered by a very welcoming friendly lovely lady called Debs.. Very pleasurable to be greeted with such impressive service. Shes a credit to the Team.

We tried here one evening when home late and we were very impressed with the food. We ordered a set menu and could not fault any of it. We then went again the next week and recommended to family who ordered this week and also enjoyed it. It will be our 1st choice for Indian food now.

We ordered our supper from Megna after it was recommended to us by a friend and chose these fabulous dishes, they were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here again, the staff were very efficient on the phone and the delivery lady was so friendly and jolly and we couldn't believe how quickly we received our food , all round fantastic experience

I have been going to Megna for over 15 yrs and would only go here for Indian food. I've stuck with them through the bad hygiene ratings and always tip the driver. When our friends visit they always want to order from here as they say it's the best they've ever had! I'm not sure if it has recently changed ownership but it has gone very downhill. The food is always cold when delivered and not very good quality at all. I've politely told them the last few times they have delivered the wrong food and declined the nice gesture of replacing. Tonight I ordered and yet again I received the wrong order (cold). I rang to tell them and they clearly didn't care. They did then send me the correct food but it had obviously been microwaved, the chicken was inedible and the rice/chips that were delivered the first time were cold. The driver couldn't care less. Well done Megna, you have now lost a very loyal, regular customer through the crap food and bad service. Anyone any recommendations for a new Indian takeaway?

I first moved to Great Harwood in 2001 and quickly discovered Megna. In all those years I have only ever had 1 complaint (they sent me lamb instead of chicken tikka) and quickly rectified for me. The food is always hot and fresh, the service is always good and very friendly and I like that they know it's me before I give the address! Whenever we have friends to stay we order from here and all our guests have said it's the best Indian takeaway they've had. You really should open a restaurant, I bet you'd rake it in. Lots of takeaways in Great Harwood and most have had bad hygiene ratings at some point and a lot have been and gone. Keep up the standard and service and I'm sure you'll still be going strong in another 15 years!

This little Indian takeaway is the best food I have ever tasted when it comes to the delights of eating curries,they give ample portions,and there prices are great value,fast service and very pleasant people who serve you that's why we have been eating from here for years wish they would open there own restaurant in great Harwood just love there food.

Visited this great take away from time to time over the last twenty years or so, the food is always good the staff have been there for ages and are very friendly. will offer to make meal to your liking. delivery service is excellent and menu very extensive. Well done Megna keep up the good work.
