Akash in Hyndburn

Ordered kebabs was awful put them in the bin sadly but the chips was OK. We won't return . I feel sick.

Service awful! I ordered delivery on the phone and the guy was so rude. My chips were clearly not fresh and they so single with the salt wth and the sauce. My popcorn chicken was overcooked. The “spicy” chicken burger was pretty nice tho it wasn’t spicy but tasted good. It wasn’t what I was expecting I was expecting more of a sizzler burger but I git tandoori chicken instead. Portion size are really good especially considering the price better than most places definitely worth the money in that aspect.

Staff were really polite, food was good. Couldn’t ask for an easy experience, the place had no faults and was a good way to end mine and my girlfriends night.

My partner came in today for some food and had a chicken burger with chips, he’s come back home and he’s been none stop throwing up since, he said that the burger he had tasted funny but because he was hungry at the time he ate it anyway, not only that the friend he was with has been sick since having food too, I’m leaving the review as a heads up as a just in case something wasn’t cooked properly or something isn’t fresh. Hopefully to make you aware in case anymore comments come through too

I ordered 5 meat kebab, and I got food poisoning from it,it looked OK to me,but I started throwing up at 4am till 5:30 pm, i ordered this kebab on Monday night, but I still not been right since then and now it's Thursday evening. I can't eat, once I have something I feel sick, even yesterday i did throw up after the lunch.I have metallic taste in my mouth. I should post to go for my English exam on Tuesday but I just couldn't go because I was throwing up all day. I have lost 5kg or 11pounds. I feel week and tired. After having lunch what is my only meal time during the last 2 days.Tuesday I didn't eat nothing at all since I had kebab on Monday night. Every day I feel bloated and feeling like I will throw up again. Today was my 2nd exam and I think I failed because I just couldn't focus on subject at all reasons for that is my heath problems what this food has cost me. This was my 1st and last time ordering from here. I Don't recommend this takeaway and it's really really that I leave any negative feedback but sorry this really is not ok.

Absolute joke this place waiting over hour and half for food tonight on a Wednesday food was cold he said because of weather after he got it out of boot of he’s car in a carrier bag rang place saying food was cold and all they said ok bye and put phone down on me never again joke

don’t order from here had food poisoning twice now. First time i let slide even though i was ill for 3 days. Second time was 22nd October 2023 and it happened again. food tasted good but was undercooked. Petraz cooks dont care about how well stuff is done all they care about is their wages so i recommend NOT coming here if you dont want food poisoning

Absolute scumbags! Ordered through ubereats they accepted my order and i waited over 2 hours for my food no answer on the phone when i called them. Your lucky your closed now or i would have come there to slap you up u kuthay

Rejected order, was told refund would be 5-10 working days, it's been past that with no refund. Avoid

decent food not everything is good though, they will always forget at least one thing and or mix up your orders.

Been ordering food from petraz for years but when I looked at tonight’s receipt, well, what an absolute joke. £28 order for delivery 2 miles away, charged a £1delivery and 40 pence for 2 carrier bags, I was not informed of this over the phone when ordering and have never been charged this previously. Absolute Joke, tell your delivery driver he can drop my tip back of, shame this business has become so greedy as the food has always been great.

The pizza was awful. Doughy hardly any toppings and soggy cheap rubbish. Chilli cheese bites soggy and no chilli just deep fried cheese .... never again will I go there

Tried this instead of my usual take away for a change. I won't be returning. We spent nearly £80 on a take away for the whole family. The korma was cold and watery and looked horrendous. The hot paneer vegetable curry was mild and was basically the generic veg curry sauce which is served with the other dishes and was certainly not what I ordered. They'd have to be insane to think I wouldn't notice this and I was very disappointed. I won't be going back

Usually really impressed with Akash and myself and family order from there regularl. Placed a phone order to collect due to issues paying online. Ordered a chicken tikka massala and have always had massala sauce with it and wasn't asked which option I wanted over the phone which I should have been. I received a vegetable curry sauce with it which I never have before and I rang to try and sort it. I was then dismissed as wrong and that the veg curry option was what I was supposed to get, rather than them actually wanting to put it right for me which was extremely frustrating. Another point to make was I put the same items in an online order and it came to £22.65 but to collect the same order I was charged nearly £24 (which I didn't really have an issue with until the unwillingness to put my order right!) Really disappointed and due to the dismissive attitude I was greeted with over the phone I won't be rushing back in future.

Food is 4/5 star I absolutely cannot fault it but what I can fault is their ability to get the full order correct (2nd time) and leave half the family to eat their food while everyone else is starving. Delivery drivers have no manners also, moaning about money given being in coins or upset we took a few slices of the pizza as we were hungry but he insisted “it could have gone to another customer”… mmmm second hand pizzas, tasty. The food is great but the reliability and manners of the drivers is a no go. Gutted but they’ve lost a customer and they used to be good in all areas

Chicken not fully cooked Garlic bread was solid on bottom Stated 15 20 mins wait and waited for 40. Staff was clearly more interested in delivery orders than they was people in the shop... Not for me this place

Petraz, one of my three local chicken shops Hygiene: Floor is sometimes slippery, indication of either; Poor cleaning product application Bad quality cleaning product. Other than that sometimes the side the till is on is is rather cluttered, vapes, cigs or just random stuff. Inside: The inside of this place is HUGE, could easily seat 15. Issue with is being big is that it has no heating, you and your food will freeze to death and that is a promise. The chairs are a separate issue, I have sat in school chairs with more comfortability and back support. Food/drink: The food here is amazing, insane flavours, great portion sizes and it’s always hot and fresh, nothing wrong here. Good selection of drinks too, well done. Price: More on the dear side of chicken shops, I ordered food for just 2 people, we ordered a burger meal with a calzone for £20+ which in my opinion is outrageous. Wait times: Not too bad depending on your order, the more time consuming orders like a calzone or pizza will obviously take longer but other than that all good. Staff: Great staff members, they all get along, all do their jobs and don’t mess around. They get along with everyone and I was so infatuated with the kindness they show customers. Love this place, always lovely and Overall a solid 8/10 Recommended ✅

There ketchup and garlic sauces are not very good quality, I ordered a cheese burger, it was average nothing special. Sauces made it go below average. Customer Service was good

My son recommended the establishment for a takeaway he was spot on. We had the Petraz kebab. it’s a chicken breast that’s grilled in their sauce and herbs & the meat is flattened and tasted great. I did expect to get salad in the kebab but wasn’t offered such I was a bit disappointed ☹️ as it wasn’t a cheap meal (for3).

Gone up by£2.00 since last week rang to complain they said it's inflation attitude bloody awful been a long standing customer said I would not be ordering again they just said fine omg they are charging customers for there inflation we all are suffering higher bills to pay won't be ordering again

Aviod. They say they have the best pizzas in Accrington. After the pizzas I received which were burnt and tasted burnt. It went in the bin. I was going to ring to complain but they should know as professional chefs and shouldn't have delivered the food. Asda frozen pizzas taste better

Just bought 2 medium kebabs 14/3/22 £10.20 .huge portions, lots of meat on a naan bread and enough salad, perfect with chilli sauce. Would highly recommend

Ordered a Pizza which was half an hour late. The Pizza was cold and wasn't even cooked properly. Even my two German Shepherds wouldn't touch it. I can honestly say this was the worst Pizza I have ever had. Inedible is an understatement. Avoid this place like the plague

Walk in take away order, friendly customer service, gave us shish kebabs whilst we waited.good variety of food, we had pizzas and kebabs. Excellent dining experience. Price £22 for four of us.

We have been going to this takeaway for years and it has always been good quality but not tonight. I ordered keema biryani it was awful, just glad it came with a veg curry. I thought the biryani had a fishy smell and the taste was non descriptive, in fact I didn't eat it all 🤮🤮🤮

I must say I have been a loyal cust to akash takeaway for years, and only order chicken tikka, onion and curriander chips from there, as kids love it. Today I placed an order for 2 lots costing £10.50, brought them home kids couldn’t eat them as it was more spicier than normal. Never had this prob before, I rang to say the food was way too spicy, young lad who answered asked to hold an was speaking to some one at the back, I explained this wasn’t first time Ive ordered this item so I know what’s it is like, the lad explains again to some one at the back, the man at back rudely sed to the lad “tell her tough that’s how it is made!” Which I heard clearly. How rude and crap customer service, well thanks to akash the food went in the bin losing the £10.50 and costing more to get food else were. One thing is akash have lost a loyal cust an I will not be recommending them to any one else either, this was disgusting behaviour from a local takeaway which we actually support in these hard times disgusted customer!!!!

Not been here for a long time and have to say its gone really poor. you stand waiting while they talk and mess about in the back. then when i get my pizza its under cooked and the dough is soggy.

Standard Indian takeaway with a very wide selection on menu. Food was substantial and what we expected - no frills. What you order is what you get - we’re used to some salad or poppadums being thrown in for free but not today. Could see them cooking and seemed very clean and hygienic. Quick service (perhaps a bit too quick but they were very busy). Good value. Four stars because it was as expected but nothing special.

You know when you're always unsure about moving away from your regular "Take away"..? Ours advised a 1/2 hr wait for our order, we opted for "Somewhere else" And what can I say apart from WOW, these guys are working their hands to the bone to produce the food you've had tonight, the kitchen is open for all to see, our service was prompt and very professional the atmosphere buzzing it works like a well-olied machine in is a culinary marvel in its own right to watch, it's clean, it smells divine, we had to wait a little longer than stated but the staff were quick with an apology and we were cool with that. The portions are more than enough, the food is hot, fresh and beautifully flavoured, we ordered Chicken tikka masala with pakoras, I had a combi mixed starter and Chicken balti Dansak, there are two empty plates, two full tummies and a sound reassurance that we will be coming back from our Hapton base Thanks, Guys that was great.

Always avoided this place after some poor food. Then a friend told me it had changed hands and was now very good. I agree.... been about 5 times now and had a variety of different things, all very good, tasty, hot and speedy delivery. Would especially recommend the 5 meat kebab nomnom

The prices are fairly decent, along with quick delivery time/polite drivers but I myself only like certain food from here i.e the kebabs & deserts happen to be bang on! 😂 👌🏻 Whereas everything else, especially the burgers & fries? 🤔 Hmmmm, not so much so! 😬😝.... This was our first experience of the meals from Akash and we were not disappointed. I had chicken razella and my wife had chicken mackhan with pilau rice and a peshwari naan. Both meals were very tasty and I have no hesitation at recommending this establishment to anyone. Thank you to the chef for an excellent tasting meal.

Not the nicest place to go at all my sons kids meal his chicken was all soggy and they gave him the over cooked chips that were sharp and really crunchy and red salt on it when I asked no salt the burger wasn't cooked properly n the cans were flat I ain't going again

If you want a unique curry then Akash is a take-away that you surely should visit! Many unique curries on the menu here - many you will not find anywhere else. On this occasion I had a medium chicken megna(i think thats spelt correctly) which was a very nice curry. But the starter I had.... I cannot rave about how tasty the tandori/tikka bengal fish starter was... I felt like ringing them back up again!

We used to go to Akash on a regular basis food was good tasty But then found somewhere better and nearer to home, we live in Blackburn the this has closed, whilst dropping a friend off we called, staff still pleasant and helpful but food gone down, korma sauce was thick and lacking in flavour, chicken was just ok, onion bagees were very very greasy and were cooked in old oil which left a nasty taint, mince passanda Dish again was not good, more like a purée and poor flavour , Sorry won’t be going again

Just had the megnah tika combo and what a treat. Food was hot and the sauce I think is the best ever I have tasted. Very well priced to. Will be making this a regular.

Lovely food. I have tried a lot of different vegetarian starter, main and side dishes and enjoyed them all. I can particularly recommend the Vegetable Shanti, Masala and the Paneer Tarka Moshla. The Saag Paneer is great too. Always pleasant there.

Buyers beware. Still charging for use of credit /debit cards despite new EU rules coming into force from 13th January.

we drove down to order the food as they always get it wrong and yet again it was wrong. They charge you for the extras you order but you don't get them and they always rip off the order receipt so you can't check it after.

Avoid like the plague, 1 hour and a half later pizza was still frozen, ordered a kebab, warmish and the chips well even the wrapping of the food says it’s all, not good avoid if you don’t want to die

Been using this takeaway for a long time and tonight for the first time I am so disappointed, excellent food as always. We always get shami kebabs, with one portion you get a tub of salad and a carton of mint yogurt with two portions you also get one tub of salad and a carton of yogurt? so I ordered another carton yogurt, get home to Padiham only one carton even though we have paid for an additional one. But don't worry I can always have my pappadom with Mango Chutney but no I haven't got any chutney either so at least their profits will be up this week. Will still go back when we want another curry though.

Tuve un Pollo Tikka Rezella en un jueves por la noche hace 3 semanas y fue hermoso, pero dos veces en 2 meses en una noche de sábado el curry era horrible. Uso akash india de ser el mejor en la zona y les han estado utilizando durante los últimos 8 años, pero no va a haber un curry de Akash prisa. . He cambiaron los chefs? Esta noche nos distrajimos los huéspedes tienen un par los estómagos poco fiable! Si han cambiado los chefs, luego saco ellos él. Estás limpieza sartenes correctamente?

We always use akash - excellent choice of curry including veggie dishes, the paneer moshla is lovely. Chips are homemade and nice and crisp! Recommend visiting for an authentic south Asian meal when in Accrington.

I used to live in Accrington, and from the age of 18 onwards (I'm now 39) I've always used The Akash. I now live in Cumbria and whenever I visit home I take home in excess of £150 worth of curry to fill my freezer. I also run a pub, and even my locals up there place orders for me to take back. It's the tastiest best quality curry, with each dish having its own unique taste. I'd never use another curry house in Accrington.

Hemos tenido hindú para llevar todas las noches de sábado durante años de diferentes establecimiento hasta una noche no estaba a la altura, así que las siguientes semanas probamos varios indios, hasta llevar probamos AKASH... nunca ir a ningún otro sitio, la comida es increíble. Nunca hemos tenido un problema con el servicio o de la entrega y su muy bien de precio.

Siempre nuestra primera opción cuando ordene un curry - entrega a hora indicada, siempre comida caliente y delicioso y muy buena relación calidad-precio.

A great meal appreciated by all the family. Kids enjoyed their tikka masala and we really liked the traditional balti. Sometimes takeaways say hot in the choices and it arrives medium (and vice versa) but I have to say Akash get it spot on.

Pizza arrived late! And when it did arrive barely any toppings and masked with excessive sauce! Absolutely shocking . Would not recommend

top quality food once eaten forever smitten you cant beat Akash for quality if it was a restaurant tables would be booked up very quickly I particularly like watching chef prepare you food everything is cooked to order no big pan of curry just being doled out every single portion cooked just for you you cannot get any better
