Mega Charcoal Grill in Broxbourne

Having moved to the area fairly new, Mega Charcoal Grill will be my new go to spot for a decent kebab! The staff were super friendly and polite. I had purchased a few doner wraps and it was very tasty and filling. If your in the area I would highly recommend!

Simple order. Forgot every single thing and messed up all the toppings. How can you get simple things so wrong

Rice wasn’t cooked properly, bread was old, Cacik was very bitter, but the chicken was lovely, & I ordered and paid to collect via the website but didn’t get an email or text, a little disconcerting, but ok in the end!

Very disappointed. This was the first time I have purchased food from here. It was very chaotic amongst the staff, which is probably the reason they forgot to put my drink in the bag with my order. I had the lamb donner wrap, the meat was tasteless and I ended up putting it in the bin. My first and definitely my last visit to this place.

Food is decent if they can actually be bothered to get my order right ever. Fed up of it now , I go elsewhere for my Turkish food.

Used to come here about 14 years ago and loved their kofte so much as it used to be very soft and tasty with good seasoning. Thought I’d try them again as was back in the area for first time in so many years. The kofte was horrible, chewy and hard bits in it! No seasoning whatsoever, not even salt it appeared. The lamb wasn’t soft and was like it was of lower quality cheaper mince. I was so disappointed as kofte kebab puts Turkish cuisine as one of the best but not this one. No charcoal flavour to it also. I did try some of my other half’s doner meat and that was nice. Please change your kofte back to the one you used to do. Maybe you have new management now not sure.

MOST EXPENTIVE KEBAB IN TOWN - This was most expensive doner kebab I have ever paid for £10! For what? And my doner was burnt...it went in the bin and i will not return again.

Wow! I’ve been to countless kabab shops but nothing like this one! Ordered a small chicken Shish for my girlfriend and was a perfect portion for her and she said the chicken was cooked nicely. I ordered the large lamb Donner which was also very tasty and he put the salad in a separate box the make sure there was enough space for all the meat which was also a great portion for big eaters. Thing what most impressed us was that is wasn’t greasy what is a big problem in most kabab shops! Definitely recommend you give this place a try yourself! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Awful. Asked for chips with no peri peri powder and came with peri peri powder. rung up and they accused me of lying they then reluctantly agreed to send a new portion. which again had the powder on. Disappointed

Slow cooked ribs chewy almost raw in places very fatty , supposed to be cooked until fat melts away slowly. Chicken kebab shish OK Lamb shish most of meat to tough to chew Large Chips to share with 3 sauces all covevered all over the chips mixed up a messy splodge Hair in chicken shish salad

I am disappointed used this kebab shop for years, the food is lovely but the service is shocking 4 times now we have not got what we ordered dont know if the people of the phone doesnt listen or the people making up the food is not reading what people have ordered. But lately im fed up with complaining time for a change!

I normally order with Aksu Kebabs as they are brilliant! However I was walking past Mega today. I ordered a lamb shish wrap and a kids meal sausage and chips. The Menu said my wrap was £9 and the kids meal was £4.20. When the food is ready I tried to pay by card however they don’t have a card machine? What company in 2021 do not own a card machine anyway. There was nowhere that I couldn’t cash out as I only had my phone to pay with Apple Pay. They told me that I could pay online through an order and then take the food. However on the online ordering system my wrap was £10 and the kids mail was £4.80. For no apparent reason there are extra fees plus a 50p online charge so I paid over £2 for no reason? When I asked about why I was paying extra and why the prices were different and he just told me they were adjusting the menu? So I paid over £15 for a wrap some chips and a sausage. What an absolute joke. Do not order with Mega Kebab their food is not exceptional and they are a rip-off on their prices!!! Aksu Kebabs are only a couple of doors away and it would have been less that £10 there!

Im a regular customer. Their doner unbeatable. Frendly staff good food what else you can expect from the take away. Special thanks to Mr Sabri for extra chilli and garlic sauce.

Workers here are all friendly and understanding. The food is always great as expected and the portion sizes are amazing for the price they charge. Never had a problem with Mega Charcoal Grill and even if i did i know it will be solved instantly. The customer service they provide both in store and on call is unmatched.

The best kebab shop in the UK easily, I live over an hour away from this place now and it's still the only kebab shop that actually makes beautiful food, their chicken kebabs are amazing and worth every penny. Also the portion sizes for the money is brilliant value 👍👏👌

Food always cold when delivered and order always wrong

Absolutely spot on! Clearly takes pride in his trade. Even gave my little girl a free drink while we waited which made me smile. I am not in the area anymore but will still be driving to get my kebab from here. The doner and shish were perfect, Thank you! (Too many money grabbingfast food joints around which charge too much for bottom grade grub).

It is pretty much the only kebab place we go to. Clean restaurant fabulous presentation of food. Food quality is top drawer. Especially mixed shish and Turkish bread👌

Sorry may be a one off because was 10pm on a bank holiday but kebabs were stale , warm salad and cacik was not good .

I don't often go there but when I do it's pretty good just two faults really they sometimes don't listen to your order and forget parts of a long order cos their not concentrating and the other thing is they don't take cards over the counter which is a massive put put off only on line for this but overall OK.

Ordered online using their website and came within 45 minutes. Not sure what the low scores are about as donor and rice was to use a pun mega. Big size and still hot with a ton of salad. Will be ordering again tomorrow. Cheers 👌

Staff on the phone behaviour is the worst,they never read the comments on orders and when you call they not even try to solve the problem,they don'y care about customers even if you are a regular!

Food is always amazing when it actually turns up!! An hour and a half is not ok!!!

Terrible behaviour absolutely disgusted man taking orders on the phone was so rude jumping down my girlfriends throat and not letting her complete the order, so I ring up and complain then get the man himself ringing my girlfriend from his personal number. Distrusting will never use these again!!!

Have edited my review as staff are quite rude at times and have found Aksu kebab just up the road is a lot friendlier and their food is much better

Not traditional turkish, no lamachun no pide no shawarma no chicken adana no yogurtlu dishes. Dont take card, dont like paying taxes ? Im now late for work, with severe stomach troubles. First and last time

I like to travel about and ask locals wherever I am where there’s a good place to eat. This place was a suggestion. It was very busy, clearly a popular spot, the staff were immediately attentive and friendly, the prices quite reasonable. I ordered, and despite being busy, got my food in a reasonable time frame and took it away. I enjoyed every succulent mouthful.

Worse food ever, i have ordered yesterday for the whole family and the food artived in 1.40mins when i was advised 45mins to 1 hour delivery, i made several calls and everytime i called they said it will arrive in 5 mins did it arrive in 5mins NO. Eventually when the food arrived after 1.40mins it was COLD And the MIX MEGA SPECIAL had hardly anything eg NO Meat (Shish) NO) Adana) NO Meat (RIB) basically had hardly anything in the box what a big SHAME ruined our evening waiting all that time and the box came hald empty, Chips were rotten hard, i have never ever in my whole life made any complaints to anyone noir left any reviews about anything but really really wnated this time as it was a big dissatisfaction, I called them and told yhem about delivery been late and the other but all the guy said was aww it CANT BE COLD ITS IN A FOIL CONTAINER ooohhhhh reallyyyyyy BUT IT WAS ANYWAY DIDNT WANTBTO ARGUE i will not be ordering from there again AS THE FOOD WAS AS IF IT WAS FROM A THE PREVIOUS DAY. Best in cheshunt! Generous portion! Friendly staff! Great taste and price! I personally would recommend cheshunt special for £19 you get a lot for you money easily feed 3 maybe even 4! All meats has a good charcoal taste to it! Highly recommended! All my friends were impress!

Simply the best Kebab fresh good cut meat in house... won't mess around with your stomach top quality if you have not tried there boat shaped meat and chips you are missing out... this place should definately be on your bucket list is open till late

90 minutes and several phone calls with constant lies about it being on its way - this was our go to for kebabs but not anyone seriously gone down hill with terrible customer service

Don't use this place worst customer service ever ordered 1 hour.45 minutes ago food yet to arrive although I was told 45 minutes. Have called 3 times to find out the problem to be told sorry ten minutes each time which has turned out to be a lie every time. Will never use again wouldn't advise any 1 else too. Useless

We have had a bad meal from here previously but decided to give it another try. We ordered one kebab and one quarter pounder burger with onions. It arrived promptly and was hot. We were very happy with the meal and would now recommend.
