1st time with mega bites, i had a breakfast delivered amongst other food for my colleagues.....awful! My breakfast had no toast, no black pudding, no mushrooms, egg cooked hard and hash brown extremely soggy with grease. Other colleagues had food missing too and said full of grease and chips disgusting. 1st impressions stick, will never go back!

Darley Road
Visited for my wife’s birthday as this restaurant is quite expensive but very nice. Theres a big car park, there’s loads of places to sit in the bar and the restaurant is tidy and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful and they had put a birthday card on the table. Good low alcohol beer selection The food was delicious and attractively presented. My wife had the pigeon and I had the octopus which was a bit over cooked and tasters more like a bratwurst but surprisingly, with the other parts of the dish, tasted really good . We both had venison which was well cooked and good portion of new potatoes and courgette. My wife had the strawberry cheesecake and I had the peach Melba which was an interesting twist on the old favourite with warm peach slices, both dishes were tasty. My wife was given a plate with happy birthday on it with some brownie pieces and fruit and cream which was almost a sweet in itself. Not unique to Red Lion but why do restaurants take so long to bring the card machine? Will go again for another special occasion.

Badger LaneCalled in for a quick drink on our way home after hearing wonderful reviews and it absolutely didn’t disappoint!! A real hidden gem! £15 for a medium red wine, a pint of Bakewells best and a appletize. I think that’s pretty decent. It was warm, welcoming and cosy by the log burner. We could have stayed all day! Even though we didn’t eat, the food smelt amazing and we will certainly be sharing a family Sunday lunch here very soon!! 10/10 to the staff for making us feel so welcome!! Thank you 🩷

Bridge InnGreat location. Well maintained. Attractive interior, cosy, contemporary and very well maintained. Excellent friendly welcome and service. Good menu and drinks list. Reasonable prices for the quality. Glad to keep on returning.
