Mediterraneo Truro in Shropshire

Came in this lunchtime for a takeaway meal, the food was faultless and the service was fabulous! I will definitely be popping in again, an absolute gem 🌟

We’ve been here often and had a wonderful experience every time. Whether it’s a lunchtime wrap or enjoying an assortment of mezze, the food is always fresh with an abundance of flavour. They clearly use quality ingredients to achieve this and everything tastes like it’s been made with love. The lovely waitress is attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is reminiscent of holidays in Greece. Our favourite place to eat in Truro!

We had lunch here on recommendation from a friend. We were very disappointed with this restaurant particularly as my husband's favourite food is Greek which we have eaten in many tavernas in Greece and the islands. I don't know where the cute picture of the table with the bottles in the background was taken but it wasn't there. I appreciate a taverna is basic but this was just scruffy. We ordered mezze to start: spannakopita, vine leaves (both delicious) and honey pork (dry meat with watery sauce) and pitta bread (very nice). Our mains were chicken gyros which my husband thought tasted strange and lamb koftas with rice. The koftas were very dense and unpleasant, the rice looked and tasted like it has just had a tin of tomatoes chucked over it and it needed some seasoning. The wine was nice (Sauvignon Blanc) but there was not much choice. Come on, Mediterraneo, this could have been so much better! We won't be back unless things change. This experience was much like many of the restaurants we have tried in Truro, they just don't make that extra effort. Falmouth offers far better far.

Excellent lunch and service. The fresh tasting food was served by an attentive and polite waitress. Just a shame the weather outside was not Greek!

Cosy little eatery in Truro, went to eat post theatre. Service friendly and efficient, we ordered a mixed platter for £19 and a spanakopita pie £16 served with Greek salad and pitta. The pie wasn’t cooked fresh and had been warmed through as pastry soggy which was disappointing. The mixed platter was better but pricey. This would be a good place for a bite to eat at lunch for a gyros and chips but wouldn’t recommend for an evening out.

A tiny but perfectly performed restaurant in the heart of Truro. Wonderfully authentic, freshly cooked Greek food served with care by a smiling, professional waitress who deserves to be cherished by this business. My wife and I loved the hummus, chicken gyros, aubergine platter and the outstanding pitta bread. Autumn showers fell outside but the warmth and simple hospitality inside made this lunch memorable.

My Girlfriend took me here for a Birthday meal as we both love Mediterranean cuisine and we were not disappointed. The mezze is incredible value for money and generous portion sizes. Everything tasted fresh and all the food was seasoned to perfection. The service was attentive and as many others have said, it really feels like you're dining with family. The standout dish for us was the Spanakopita as it is a personal favourite and this restaurants recipe was nothing short of perfection encased in Phyllo. The danger for me now is knowing that this place is a 15 minute walk from my workplace.

THE BEST FOOD EVER!!! I have never come across any Greek food that has come so close to the food I used to eat in Greece, it’s like being on holiday all over again. Kleopatra and her husband are so welcoming and friendly and the best food makers ever! Thank you so much for all you both do in that little restaurant ❤️

Really enjoyed the food but right from the start there was a lack of hospitality from staff as were told to go and find our reserved table. We were quick to order but were very quickly forgotten about, having to call the waitress over to order drinks (which was received with an eye roll and we received the wrong drinks). After finishing our food, we were looking forward to ordering dessert. We were left sitting 45 minutes waiting for someone to clear the table and no one came to take our order or came to give us the bill. We tried to call someone over but they saw us and continued walking past us. There were no servers around. We gave up on the idea of pudding and decided to go downstairs to pay our bill. We mentioned to the waitress that we weren’t happy to be left waiting to which she replied “well you should have called someone over”. She was very rude and continued to smirk showing a lack of care in her poor service. Would not recommend going here.

Popped in for lunch and the service and food were simply perfect. The gyros were the same as being in Greece. Lovely decor, background music and outside area. Staff were attentive and kind and the food couldn’t faulted. We will definitely be back

Extremely friendly little Greek restaurant tucked away in a corner of Truro city centre. We visited by chance with family and our three dogs, which were welcomed downstairs as the weather was grey. We all had an excellent lunch with very friendly service. Wish there was another place like this where we live. Would definitely visit regularly! We had lunch here and they very kindly welcomed us and our dog. We had a fantastic meal and the lady that served us was very friendly and made us feel special. Both meals were excellent with generous portions of delicious food. It was also very good value.
