Really cool quirky spot! Music on which creates good atmosphere. Food was good. Staff very attentive. Nice little pool table to play on too. Would defo come back

Manager was completely inappropriate she hovered around constantly and when we had an issue with food she became exceptionally rude and aggressive. Completely ruined my son’s birthday we didn’t even cut the cake we just left.

After arriving and getting our seat the service took more than 30 minutes to be even given a menu. Following this after being told they would be back in a few minutes to take our order it took another 30+ minutes for our order to be taken. Once our food arrived there were items missing that we had ordered. After all the food had arrived it was a good meal but a shame about the service.

Was good, we enjoyed it. Expected a bit more from the food. The bbq wings were the only thing that was quite poor. The burgers are decent. Not the best burger you’ll get, but it was ok. The staff were really friendly, the food came quickly. All in all it was enjoyable. But won’t be in a rush back.

The food and atmosphere is great !! Order your food separate but comes out on a large sharer plate with I thing is a great idea. Only minor negative is staff left us with the tray for almost an hour after we finished and didn’t offer any extra drinks or the bill.

MEATMission in Hoxton (as I will always call it) remains my favourite of the MEATliquor group (although I'm a fan of the Islington branch and miss the sadly closed King's Cross space too). Much quieter than usual (it was a Monday - the day to get a table almost anywhere in these post-Covid times) but the food was hot and the beers were cold. Mac 'n Cheese bites are essential, as is a Dead Hippie, and we're definitely talking top three burgers in London. Terrific staff, good music and a killer venue. And as I've been on the mailing list since forever, it was a 50% off food special - what's not to like. The perfect way to start the week!

This is the prettiest of all the MeatLiquor venues, tucked away in an old mission with a magnificent illuminated ceiling and an old spiral staircase arcing up through the middle. As always, the staff were charming. I was excited because I haven’t been to MeatLiquor since the autumn due to several illnesses and this branch was new to me. Visually it didn’t disappoint and the designer deserves 10.10 for the looks. A bit less for the heating. It wasn’t a cold day but the restaurant was chilly and I ended up putting my scarf back in despite all the chilli I ate. I saw other people keep their coats on. Now for the bad news… the food has gone downhill: The burgers were thin and dry, two chewy patties rather than one plump one, and just uninteresting. I didn’t even finish mine. This has never happened before. A shame, because the bun was fine and the toppings generous. The onion rings were unavailable, and the hashbrowns were ordered to replace them were pallid, white, half cooked things of sadness. The chef must have thought they were acceptable because they were duly placed in front of us… they were lukewarm at best. Most of them went uneaten. The waitress seemed unsurprised. On the plus side, the cheese and onion chips were perfect, and the mac and chorizo bites - which I had not tried before - were yummy. This has been my favourite burger chain in the whole world since the first one opened just off Oxford Street. I was disappointed and am not sure what to do now…

Forgot to give us the lunch menu at lunch so we weren't aware of the deal and ended up paying a bit more than we might have done. Had to get up from the table twice to get someone's attention despite being one of only three groups in the restaurant at the time.

We booked a table for a friend's birthday the guy who greeted and took our orders was really good, chatty helpful and friendly, the food was great a but on the expensive side but that's London !!. After we ate we were chatting and we asked for the bill. The young guy who came over with the receipt, well to be honest he was just rude, we wanted to split the bill which seemed like a massive inconvenience to him, at one point he huffed off saying I'll come back when you've sorted yourselves out ! This upset all of us, not great not friendly not somewhere I would recommend. Shame it spoilt a nice afternoon

Small portions for the price, but overall nice experience!

The restaurant was pretty quiet for a Saturday night but the staff were nowhere to be found. Food arrived cold. Waited 40 mins for someone to come back to clear the table and order another drink, which we then had to swig down because they wanted the table back but had taken 20 mins to bring them over from the bar that was right there. In terms of atmosphere, you can smell the toilet bleach from across the restaurant. The music is blaring - not in a fun, energetic way but in a "have to shout at the person sitting opposite you so they can hear you" kind of way. Finally, beware of the "optional" 12.5% service charge and additional charity donation they put on the bill. We would've quibbled the service charge if we weren't running so late because of the super slow service.

Service was very very good. It’s just the food was not very nice. Onion rings were really greasy and the burger presentation was basic to say the least. Also, include fries with the burgers.

Music was way too loud for a resteraunt, waiters couldn't even hear what we were ordering and it was difficult to get their attention. Last time I went to a MeatLiquor was about 7 years ago and the quality has gone way down. Instead of real cheese its just cheap american squirty cheese now — horrible! I won't go back now.

Waited half hour for our drinks. 45 minutes in and no sign of any food so thought we’d order another drink. At this point could see that the food order hadn’t actually been added to the tab. We asked the waitress if this was right, to which she lied and said the order had gone through. It then magically appeared on our tab but again was wrong so had to get that corrected. Eventually got our food 1hr and 15 minutes later. Groups that came in after us had been in and gone in that time. Definitely won’t be going back.

Overall it was ok. Food was tasty. Unfortunately we had to chase up forgotten drinks and food. We were a table of 11, so appreciate we were a large group. Music was fun, but became a bit too loud to hear each other talk.

Went on a Sunday night so was quite quiet. Really cool looking place, stills feels quite authentic though (so not too polished!) Food was very tasty although American style cheese sauce isn’t my thing. Portion sizes were decent. Best espresso martini! Very pleasant service, with time for a chat. Off the beaten track but follow your gps app!

Overall comments: I didn’t have any expectations when we were headed here and was left pleasantly surprised. A high number of Veg & Vegan options which is a big plus. I’m definitely planning to revisit maybe another branch in-between trying new places soon. One thing to note: unsure if the normal bathrooms were out-of-service at the time, but I remember everyone having to use one disabled bathroom. My order was as follows: Main(s): Burgaloo 2, Side(s): Fries, Dessert(s): Vanilla Milkshake. Food: Burger was not too messy and the fries were ok. Milkshake was decent and had a very good level of thickness. Atmosphere: Had comfy sofa seating against the wall and it was very comfy. Decent amount of space and some interesting décor alongside music choices. Service: Service was good with excellent speed of food arriving at the table. Cost: Slightly above Mid-Range but worth it.

It was very noisy in here, I could barely hear the people next to me. The food was ok but very expensive for what it was. I don’t think I’d go again but that probably more a personal preference, other people I went with enjoyed it and said that their meals were tasty.

Food was fine, nothing special. There are better places doing similar but superior food in nicer more comfortable environments, such as Patty & Bun. Also though portion sizes were quite small for the price. When MEATliqour came out it was a bit of a novelty but now there is too much competition to make me want to return.

I got my usual takeout of Meatliquor and order of Monkey Fingers on the evening of 09/12/2022. It showed up with what looked like fried chicken. I called the restaurant and was informed that they had 'changed the recipe'. I'm not sure how completely changing a dish is 'changing a recipe'. The signature batter of the monkey fingers was gone. Unfortunately the new version is just bad. The batter was thick and dry and did not protect the chicken properly either, rendering it dry. As a fan favourite of so long honestly I don't know why you would change the product completely (unless of course the person I spoke to just couldn't be bothered to deal with the problem and lied about the recipe change).

We were warmly welcomed into this amazing venue by the staff and quickly shown our table. Started with some well mixed and spicy cocktails. The food was amazing. Really spicy and the chicken was top quality. Burgers were meaty and coated with lashings of cheese or other sauces. Perfect sized portions with plenty of chips as sides. All perfectly cooked and delicious! Atmosphere in the room was festive without being too rowdy and we could hear ourselves talk. The waiting staff were totally professional throughout but friendly with it.

10th time visiting, it’s still the best burger ive ever had. I recommend getting the buffalo chicken and the dead hippie and going half and half, best of both worlds. If you haven’t been or are unsure, just go, it’s so good.

Siempre un fanático de las hamburguesas Meat Mission / Meat Liquor. Este es un gran lugar lejos de la concurrida calle principal. La hamburguesa Dead Hippie era genial, como siempre, al igual que la hamburguesa con queso y tocino. Las hamburguesas vegetarianas no estaban muy bien y tampoco los batidos. Sin embargo, amable y buen servicio. Vale la pena una visita.

We drive an hour to eat at this restaurant and need I say any more! Amazing food, service and staff every time we visit. Will be heading back for my next visit very soon and cannot wait.

We visited here yesterday, we had a table booked for 4.45 but arrived around 10 past 4. We were able to sit down right away. Good choice on the menu and cocktail list. We had for starters deep fried mac and cheese and my boyfriend went for the hash browns. The Mac and cheese were unbelievable!!! It also came with a blue cheese dip which was unreal! Defo highly recommend these! For mains we had the dirty chicken cheeseburger and a double bacon cheeseburger. We both ordered a side of chips each however we probably could have shared one between us. The food was piping hot and fresh. Lovely staff and quick service but not rushed. Only thing I would say is the food is served on trays and me and my boyfriend had to share a tray, would have preferred one each so it was closer when we were eating. Other than that, lovely food! Would recommended this quirky little place!

I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place, the staff were extremely rude and complacent, especially the hostess who basically shouted at us for walking in and heading towards one of the many empty tables.. “you can’t just seat yourself you know!..” Even though the front door was unattended upon entering. (Saturday evening 31/02/20). After waiting patiently for some time I had to call our waitress over to take our order, and then again later for the bill (both times she was standing near the kitchen doors staring into space or chatting to colleagues), she seemed taken aback and offended that I had to do so.. The only saving grace was the happy chappy who was working behind the bar who was efficient and friendly. Food was ok, but all in all.. not a great experience.

Tenía una buena hamburguesa aquí, pero las papas fritas cargadas de queso eran básicamente papas fritas de McDonald's con queso. El extra pagado por el cementerio de las fichas apenas cubría la parte superior. El compañero tenía un hot dog en pan duro, que cuando se lo informaron al personal lo quitaron de la cuenta, lo que pensé que era bueno de su parte. Sin embargo, dieron un poco de sarky que deberíamos haberles dicho antes, ¿qué tal si no sirven pan duro?Volvería por la hamburguesa.
