Meat Liquor in Brighton and Hove

We came here for our teenage son’s birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend the ‘Dead Hippie’ burger which was cooked to perfection and the Malted milkshake was a wonderful addition. Great food, fantastic atmosphere in a truly funky venue. A tip for those visiting by car, park in Trafalgar Street car park, which offers secure parking for £6.90 all night after 6pm.

Somewhere I've wanted to try for ages. Place is cool, we came in at 5pm on a Tuesday so was expectedly quiet - I reckon there's quite an atmosphere when the place is busy! Good size menu, chilli cheese fries were probably the only let down. Burgers were decent, great fried pickles too! Strong cocktails and a good craft beer selection too...

Have been here a few times and been consistently impressed by the place. The staff are commendably friendly and efficient and the food and drink are varied and consistently good. Most recently we visited for my friends birthday. One thing I love is how versatile this place is- I’ve been here for lunch, I’ve been here for a night out and it excels at both. They have an extensive drink menu and we ordered some interesting cocktails of their own design that were very tasty, I also ordered from their more classic selection of cocktails and opted for an old fashioned a little later in the evening- it was perhaps a tad sweet for my tastes but that is purely personal preference. They also have a good list of beer and wine if you’re more in to that. I was always dubious visiting here as a vegetarian since the word meat is literally in the title, but the veggie options here are varied and sublime. I started with an order of fried pickles, which I admit are an acquired taste, but they were delicious and they pair excellently with a beer. The cheese and onion loaded fries were great as well- a good amount of toppings: gooey cheese, pickled and crispy onions, and fries that still managed to be crispy underneath. The garlic mushroom burger was out of good world. I’ve been to restaurants and audibly heard the chef scoff at having to cook a mushroom burger, but this is no joke. Garlicky, umami and delicious. Genuinely one of- if not the- best burger I have ever had. I could not recommend it more strongly. Overall the food is well presented, fairly reasonably priced and incredibly tasty and the service is efficient without being officious- the staff are both chatty and attentive. We will definitely be back.

This place used to do ‘amazing’ burgers and every time I visited Brighton I would visit. Went end of September and the food was ‘just’ ok. It felt like everything had been dialled back in terms of taste and quality. We did speak with someone who said only the cheese sauce on the chilli fries had changed but even the chilli wasn’t as good. Unsure how to categorise this but it’s not as good as it used to be, which is a real shame.

It's a shame, as I used to love your burgers!! The chicken fillet was tiny compared to what it used to be, and flat and just a bit meh. I was so excited as they used to be the best chicken burger in town, but I'm not sure if come back again now

I have to say this is the best burger I've had in a long time. It was very fresh and there was not a single bit of grizzle in any part of the party (a problem I find with most burger joints).

Went to the brighton branch to celebrate my birthday. Food was amazing and great value so will definitely be coming again

Always loved going to Meat Liquor, our go to was always Monkey Fingers; delicious strips of tender chicken I believe to have been battered in tempura batter? I may be wrong but either way, they were delicious. In a serving of buffalo sauce served with blue cheese sauce. A hardcore chicken fans dream. We only ever visit when we’re in London or Brighton but go every time were in town. Until now. We ordered our beloved Monkey Finger dish this evening, most likely for the last time. Bland, breaded coated chicken, most likely a knock off of Colonels secret recipe, which was also seasoned with charcoal. If you’re visiting expecting to have your beloved Monkey Fingers as you last remember it, avoid going to Meat Liquor at all cost. They’ve ruined the dish and probably angered allot of patrons. I’d be interested if a manager could make comment as to why this popular dish has been ruined?

An interesting, quirky place to eat. They have a good selection of drinks including floats (e.g. cherry soda with ice cream). Food options are burgers or little bites. 2 of us shared a selection of the little bites e.g. fries, fried pickles, macaroni cheese, hot hashbrowns, chicken etc which were very tasty. Service was friendly and quick.

Not sure why it's taken so long to visit this restaurant. Great venue. Excellent burgers and service and will definitely be visiting again. Only down side was the foul mouthed family on the table next to us; which would have been bearable if a late night visit but at 7 in the evening........ I won't be letting that put me off going again though. Great place.

Great food and service. Better than most of the London MEATliquor branches. Only slight down side is the charges that get added when ordering via QR code.

The dishes weren’t great, average. service was not on par, it was ok just nothing special. waitresses weren’t that attentive. Pretty cool decor though!

Came here last week on a friend's advice and well.... the burger was fantastic, didn't take long to arrive and definitely coming again!. The onion rings are huge and very tasty and the best I've ever had and their beer selection is just as great as the food one!. Staff were really cool and friendly and really were happy I loved it, see you next time I'm in Brighton!.

Went last weekend, most of the menu has changed again and not for the better. Going back to when it opened we were regulars but I don’t think I will go back anymore. Cheesy onion chips are awful now, they have nacho cheese covering them with a sprinkle of red onions. Monkey fingers are now chicken goujons and the chicken wings didn’t look appetizing at all. Dead hippie still tasted the same ( untouched) which is always a go to but we won’t be going back again unfortunately.

Meat Liquor is excellent! From the amazing interior decor to the excellent selection of beers, to the delicious food, a visit here will not disappoint

Food was really good as always, however I did pay for a mayo that didn't make it in the bag and when I realised I was too far away to go back.Also, I ordered a lettuce wrap burger and although incredibly tasty, it was so juicy and messy, and no napkins were put in the bag either. It was a difficult experience eating that burger in the car!Also my green chilli burger was so spicy it blew my head off - but that is probably just me being a bit of a wuss!

Tasty food with lots of options. Cocktails / beers were very good. Atmosphere funky with cool music. Service was great.

Thought it was a bit average, music was very loud we could hardly chat or hear the waiting staff. Food all came together on one tray, which we had to plate up ourselves... Not really great considering the current pandemic.

Looked up the food and drink on Instagram as well as the online menus and was pretty excited about hitting up Meatliquor with some mates. We were seated and waited about 8 minutes for a drink- pretty decent selection (but you can get better quality cocktails at places like Bootlegger without the price tag!) I did really enjoy my peaches and cream IPA though- only it was £5 a can! I imagined with such expensive prices the serving sizes would reflect the cost but absolutely not! The £7.20 green chilli fries were an absolute joke- no flavour, soggy and clearly rushed. The cheese had barely melted and the 'green chilli butter' was just a poor man's sprinkle. We waited an hour for our meal and it was all served at once- the pickles would've been great with my first beer but alas EVERYTHING came out at once. The onion rings were £5 and you literally got five of them FIVE. It was a joke, maybe they are made of the rarest brown onions Lidl has on sale. The burgers- I ordered a £10.45 burger and it could fit into the palm of my tiny little hand. It was ridiculously small, way too much sauce and buffalo is my favourite- the sauce was too vinegary and was soaked in it. Mac and Cheese bits were literally bits- £6.95 for 5 squares! I was so disappointed, I felt ripped off and I guess that's why I am choosing to write this review- help manage others' expectations. This place was underwhelming in every aspect, did not deliver on any level. Servers were semi attentive and apologetic about the long wait- after the huge disappointment of dinner I no longer wanted any dessert or to try their spiked milkshakes. I'll never go back again won't be recommending this place to others. Desperately need to manage price/quality/portion size as the price doesn't hold up to the quality or size of the food.

Popped in here after the cinema this evening having heard great reviews about the place. The food was good, slightly overpriced for smaller than expected portions but sides in particular were really nice (hash browns and mac&cheese). However, the visit was overshadowed by the insanely rude waitress who served us. Initially, we were shown to our table by a very nice girl. Then our waitress approached. She took our drinks order and very suddenly and promptly stormed off. We shared a smile about and then she came back to take our food order. At the end of taking both of our orders, she quite literally rolled her eyes, sighed loudly and tutted as she abruptly walked off again. It was so brazen we didn’t even have time to make light of it to her and just looked at each other as if wondering if that had just happened?! The final nail in the coffin was her adding a voluntary 12.5% tip to the bill which I very politely asked her to remove. I don’t normally like to do this but honestly, we both agreed it was probably the worst service we’ve ever received.

Dropped in on a Wednesday evening as this place had been recommended to us and we must say it was very good.Service - very good, everyone was really polite, friendly and the food came out in very good time.Food - really good, we had a burger and chicken burger plus a couple of fries and side. All was utterly delicious, great flavours, perfect portion sizes and everything was lovely and fresh. Cocktails were nice, didn’t have a pud!! Price - I thought good value for money as we were full to bursting and as a couple we ending up spending a little over £60 with a couple of cocktails.Environment - great vibe about the place, nice music, funky layout and very clean and tidy. Totally recommend and would definitely return if in the area.

Heard great things so were excited to visit. Restaurant a bit gruby and toilets more so. Probably the worst burger I have had and the most expensive. Chicken tasted like it was going off. Fries were cheap rubbish and costafortune! Serving everything on a tray to then balance transferring to a plate was a shambles. Smallest cheeseburger I have seen. All in all the most expensive rubbish burger experience ever. Maccy Do’s and BurgerKing would be luxury in comparison. Do not waste your money as will be very disappointed!

It’s been a while since we visited MEATLiquor in Brighton and on this occasion we came away disappointed and underwhelmed. We visited at 5pm on a Saturday and the place was relatively quiet. Our server was a young man who had lost the ability to smile (maybe he was just “deep”?). We asked if they served non alcoholic beer and he didn’t know, he seemed affronted to have to ask at the bar which was 3 feet away. They do serve non alcoholic beer - FreeDam - but they’d already run out. Sigh. The food was okay, but since MeatLiqour arrived on the scene a number of rivals have surpassed it (check out The Woods in Worthing for an incredible Burger experience). This place seems to rely on the same old menu and some wacky wallpaper and great (really great) loud music to keep going. After a standard Dead Hippy, Satan’s Fingers and kid’s Hot Dog we went for the signature pudding of Filth Pie - guess what??? Yup, they’d run out!!!! God knows what they were gonna serve customers in the busy Saturday night slot. Someone really needs to get a grip with their ordering processes. All in all pretty “meh” and we felt like as a family with a dog we weren’t really wanted there. One pleasant server asked if we’d like a water bowl for our dog - nice touch - would’ve been even nicer if she’d actually remembered to bring it at any point!!! Don’t get me started on the discretionary service charge that they add automatically. 10 yrs ago we had some great times in this place when it was the new kid on the block but adly time has not treated the restaurant, nor its customers, with kindness.

We called in on the off chance, not really knowing much about this place. It surpassed all our expectations. There was so much choice on the menu both for food and drinks. Our burgers came quickly, were super-tasty and were really generous portions. The beers were interesting and the cocktails were amazing. The service was very efficient, our food and drink came in no time. The waiting staff were also very friendly. We will go back.

Place looks amazing on the inside. The food itself was ok. Looking at the insta pics I assumed the burgers would be a lil bigger. Food was alright though. Nothing amazing but still good. Wouldn’t personally go again but nice to go once just for the decor.

This is the third Meat Liquor we have been to and it was just as good as the others (if not the best). I had the Green Chilli burger and my husband had the Bacon Cheeseburger both were delicious. Our favourite burger place by a mile. The drinks were really good too I had a St Margaret and my husband had a Mojito.

We stopped here with a few friends for food one night as walk ins. The food was delicious but we weren’t too keen that the whole tables burgers were served on one tray and you had to put it on plates yourself. The staff were nice and the food was delivered quickly. Decoration inside is nice however it is dark inside so it can make the menu hard to read. Overall was great and would return again.

First ever visit to a Meat Liquor. Never heard of it before tbh but one of our group suggested we go after the races. Nice vibe in there, friendly and attentive staff. Food was great, there are cheaper places to go for a burger but the quality here is top notch. Really good food.

Decent food, had a burger. Burger patty was nothing special but good taste and classic American mouthfeel. Drinks extremely overpriced and underwhelming. The pricey Espresso Martini tasted like vodka and sour milk and came in a tiny glass.

we were a party of 9 out for a good meal for a 50th birthday. well here goes..... 5 meals got sent back because they were cold, they had been sitting under the lights whilst the other meals were being cooked. They did cook all the 5 meals again for us but by the time they were cooked from fresh we had lost our appetite and the rest of the party had finished their meals. I would like to say thank you to manager and she was very apologetic. I cant see myself ever returning to one of their restaurants again. Not a great experience .

Best burger joint in Brighton! Service was brilliant and food was great! Atmosphere was really good and have nothing to complain about! Must try the cocktails if visiting.

I was quite surprised when we arrived as it was not what I was expecting (I had more of an american diner image in mind). The atmosphere was good, if a bit loud for dinner. Food was excellent, everyone enjoyed it, even though I only had a plain burger it was good quality and very tasty. Would definitely eat here again.

This is our fourth MEATliquor we have visited. A little slow being served, even though it wasn't overly busy. The food and wait times were good as always. The man who gave us our bill was very pleasant.

My Fiancé and I visit every time we come down to Brighton from London! I’m sure they used to do standard hot dogs but now only have the Chilli dogs on the menu so changed my order up with a burger!! Very yummy, drinks are good. Waiters/waitresses friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back again!

Arrive for a table booked at 8:30 pm however was greeted by the front of house staff she was very rude/ abrupt and said that we did not have a booking, explain that we phoned up and booked a table just over two weeks ago and I explained to the male staff member over the phone that wear a group of 10 and we could be split over two tables which was agreed. However On arrival before I could even explain any of this was just told we didn’t have a booking before the even confirmed any of my details. When I did try to explain the above staff member was very rude, abrupt, stand offish, un apologetic for booking error on the restaurants behalf. Not sure if they’re being Judge mental due to us being in hen party outfit however unnecessary rudeness from the front of house staff member when we had phoned and booked a table which they denied. However the food was brilliant big portions. Recommend booking online not over the phone. Would hate for anyone to have to experience disappointment like we did.

Great food and fantastic service - Harvey was amazing at dealing with a big table he had great recommendations and even though it was busy and a short wait he kept us well informed and had a laugh, a perfect employee!! Well done meat liquor Brighton!

Best burgers ever!!! Food was amazing, even my very very picky partner said his meal was the best burger and fries he’d ever had, good price and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

To start with the positives, the decor is funky and it's a nice casual place to get a bite to eat. Unfortunately, for us, that was where it ended - the food was average. The main issue was they had seemingly run out of most drinks so ordering a drink was very challenging as the response 9 times out of 10 was "we had a really big weekend so have run out of that!" - no gin at all, no cocktail, the wine we ordered was the last bottle they had and randomly someone had had a glass out of it already - they did give us 10% off that though which was something. It was a bit odd that the staff made no apology for their ridiculously low stock or attempted to suggest any alternative options. Seems very strange there wouldn't be a restock of drinks after a weekend - and if there is an issue, at least be upfront about it and apologise rather than when we try to order something saying "oh I don't think we have that, it's been a big weekend!" (yes seriously, heard that so many times both at our table and others!!)It was also a bit bizarre that when my fiance happened to mention in passing that it was his birthday, the waitress didn't acknowledge it at all, just said "oh" - wishing someone "happy birthday" costs nothing (we weren't trying to get a freebie or anything, it genuinely was his birthday!)

I ordered from deliveroo the food came hot and it was very enjoyable the burger was very good and so was the salted caramel milkshake the only thing was the brownies are very small but tasted very good but could be bigger overall I would recommend meat liquor and I would visit again

Start with the positive.Sides were good. Deep fried mac and cheese, excellent, wings very tasty and the saitan veggie fingers good size portion and tasty.The burger however was atrocious. Swimming in juice in the box which was disgusting. Totally inedible as a burger!What made this worst is that you didnt read the instructions with our order so came incorrect which was insult to injury.For a bacon double cheeseburger where is the cheese?? None to be found in amongst the driest most overcooked meat patties have ever had the misfortune to be served.The milkshake lol.£5 for that is criminal. Could forgive the small cup we received if you guys had bothered to actually mix a shake instead of serving up semi frozen slush. Literally no better than a mcds shake. Went in the bin! Gave you guys a chance but with the competition out there (try Joe's for a authentic experience or if after the American style shake shack is very good) you shouldn't be falling this far behind. Meat liquor used to be SO good what has happened?! Getting 2 stars for the sides and that's generous.

We visited Meat Liquor in December as a group of 3 friends before the lockdown restrictions tightened and had the best time. We booked in advance and used the track and trace app before entering. There were also plenty of opportunities to sanitize and social distancing rules were in place so it was very safe. The restaurant is decorated with such an edgy feel, its very cool and unique. There is a lot to choose from on their menu (and not just meat options believe it or not), we visited with a vegan friend and she was more than satisfied with the options. The food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails were even better. It had a great atmosphere, the waiters were really helpful and welcoming and the vibe was on point with good music. Uber have failed to deliver to us twice now. We have phoned and told the Brighton restaurant both times. Chilling outside my house both times without knocking or alerting us that they are there. Meat liquor need to sort it. They are being scammed. We get a refund but no food. Everyone loses except the drivers who are onto a good thing

We have heard so many good reviews on this place and it lives up to its name, amazing service and atmosphere is great and the food was bloody brilliant was definitely a hit with us would definitely come back after COVID x

So disappointed with Meat Liquor tonight! Waited 15 mins for my click and collect (C&C)and get home and they forgot the sauce! Call up and all they can say is “Oh you can come back to collect it”... yeh I’ll just do that and pour it over freezing cold food! Onion rings weren’t up to usual standard either (usually huge but tonight just 4 average size onion rings... certainly not giant) Service is usually pretty good but tonight it was not!! Hopefully tonight isn’t a reflection of the new standard of service!

Really enjoyable meal. The clustercluck burger was very tasty as were the delicious onion rings. Kids meals were good size and service was was quick

Over the weekend my two friends and I had a reservation at ML Brighton and we had such a great time. I'd heard of this place before but never been myself so was curious to see what it was like. We had Kai as our waiter and what amazing service we recieved ! Initially we had gin and cucumber tonic, my friend thought her tonic was a little flat- but kai sorted it straight away and as of then the drinks were flowing as was the conversation. He was extremely attentive, always checking we was alright- Brilliant! The food was great too, thanks Meat Liquor... I'll be back

Vine aquí el lunes con otras 3 personas y me senté en la imagen de abajo con la que estábamos contentos, ya que era cómodo y había mucho espacio.La camarera vino a tomar un pedido de bebidas.Las bebidas llegaron unos 15 minutos más tarde, pero la comida tardó. 45 minutos para venir a nuestra mesa, también pedimos salsa extra y nunca aparecimos, luego a la mitad de la comida, la camarera se sentó en una mesa detrás de nosotros, que claramente para ver en la foto no está a un metro de distancia como lo establece la ley debido a covid 19 pedimos hablar con el gerente, pero aparentemente ella estaba en una conferencia telefónica a las 6:30 p.m., así que le explicamos a la camarera que no nos sentimos cómodos con la mesa sentada detrás de nosotros, luego nos pidió que nos moviéramos a la mitad de nuestra comida a pesar de que el la mesa de atrás no tenía bebidas ni nada, dijimos que no, ya que estábamos aquí primero y ya estaba comiendo, luego se volvió hacia la mesa y les dijo que estábamos gimiendo que estaban sentados detrás de nosotros (sus palabras no son mías) la actitud de la camarera era muy inaceptable y r ude incluso nos dijo que teníamos que apresurarnos a comer para que la otra mesa pudiera sentarse y, para rematar, trató de poner un cargo por servicio en la factura.No recomendaría este lugar en absoluto, ya que está autorizado, no son seguros para covid . La vida es más importante que cenar fuera

Había reservado aquí para el cumpleaños de mi novio porque nos encanta ML, y había enviado un correo electrónico con anticipación para ver si había algo que pudieran hacer, en realidad tienen una oferta de cumpleaños en la que puedes obtener una hamburguesa gratis, lo cual fue genial, pero también nos dieron un poco. tiros gratis, eso fue un placer. El servicio era estupendo, el personal era amable y la comida era increíblemente buena. Para cualquiera que sea nuevo en el licor de carne, tiene que conseguir los dedos de mono, ¡siempre son increíbles!

Actualmente aquí, lo que es más importante, he estado aquí durante casi dos horas, la mayor parte de las cuales se han gastado esperando el servicio; la comida era buena cuando llegó, pero tomó una eternidad. Cuando pedimos batidos de postre nos dijeron que “la máquina está rota”; no se ofrece alternativa, al servidor no le importaba. Estábamos sentados en un asiento frío justo al lado de la puerta, cuando pedimos que nos cambiaran, el servidor nos informó que la mesa a la que queríamos movernos estaba reservada para un grupo de 6 personas. Cuando se llenó esa mesa; ¿adivina qué? ! ¡Otro grupo de 3, como el nuestro! No feliz.

Reserva a las 14. 15 . Esperó mucho tiempo por las bebidas y no me ofrecieron comida hasta las 15. 10. Mal servicio y sin disculpas por ello. Intenté pedir unos batidos duros y simplemente me dijeron "máquinas de batidos rotas"; sin disculpas ni alternativa ofrecida. Servicio apático en todos los ámbitos. Visita absolutamente terrible y no volveré.

Good decor, music not my taste but can’t please everyone, Staff friendly and attentive, enjoyable experience, quick service, tasty burgers and sides. Would consider going again if every in Brighton.

I used to go here quite a but I haven’t been for a couple of years. The staff were pretty grumpy but the burgers were good.The worst part of this experience was when I went to a toilet. It was like a bomb went off in there, the toilet seat was hanging off sideways, water/liquid all over the floor and toilet roll everywhere. BUT the biggest crime was the piece of actual poo just sat on the floor in there!!!Won’t be coming back

Restaurant is very vibrant, love the decor, the music and the atmosphere. A little expensive perhaps, but thats expected with somewhere that sells good cocktails. The restaurant was noticeably understaffed with only 1 barman and 2 running food, however they all coped really well and still had smiles on their faces. Food was great too, would return!

I have had Meatliquor twice and both times have felt that it is massively overrated. The food is mediocre at best and does not correlate with the higher prices. The undercooked beef burger had hard bits in throughout the meat, and the “bacon” looked and tasted like flattened cardboard. I’m only giving it 2 stars because the Mac n’ cheese bites were great and the staff were extremely friendly when I visited the first time.

Such a great place! I loved the waiter, so nice, the food was hot and perfectly cooked, it was quick and welcoming, the decoration is really nice, families or friends should come every Saturday in this place!Maybe you should hire one or two waiters, but I was there a long time ago now so I'm sure it's better since. The burger looks good, chips was great, as I said it's a very nice place to enjoy good food for a cheap price, because it's not as expansive as it seems!Will come back for sure :).Romain.

Great burgers, survive was slow however or not enough staff. The milkshakes the liquors were great! Would of liked to see normal milkshake flavours as well. Big portions of food especially the fries! Will return again but maybe with a large group of mates rather then date night

Los dedos y las papas fritas de Satanás no deberían darte una terrible experiencia de defecación y dolor.

What a great place! Interior very funky if a little dimly lit for the daytime. Distorting mirrors for selfies is genius. Lunch deal Monday- Friday is a bargain. £10 for burger, fries and soft drink. Would definitely recommend and re-visit ourselves.

Fui con mi hijo, nos atrajo su vitalidad, el interior es muy genial.El personal fue muy agradable, pedimos nuestra comida, llegó en menos de 10 minutos, para ser justos, no estaba ocupado, pero ¿qué te dice eso?Tuve la hamburguesa, hamburguesa vegetariana, sin sabor, mi hijo tenía la hamburguesa con tocino, lo disfrutó, pedimos las papas fritas con queso azul, un poco de queso azul se había desmenuzado sobre Luke papas calientes y flacas, no lo que yo tenía imaginado? ! ?La comida llegó a poco más de 30 por 2 hamburguesas, 1 papas fritas y 2 coca cola, ¡diría que fue demasiado caro! Estoy bastante seguro de que podrían jugar allí y combinar el interior.

Good food. Had the chilli dog. Melt in your mouth. Cheesy fries are good. Went into food coma afterwards. Nice staff. 3.50 for a root beer was a bit steep but hey that’s life. Will be back.

Was not impressed with the services at all. Took a very long time before our order was taken, then a very long time before food arrived. When food did arrive we ordered a second round of drinks which took 35 mins before they came. Nobody check on us the whole time. When we got the bill we can been charged for things we didnt order. We only had one course but were in there for over two hours due to how slow the service was.

Although food was nice enough service was terrible. We were there over 2 hours and only ordered a main and 2 rounds of drinks. Plus they tried to overcharge us significantly. It wasn’t that busy either.

One of my favorite spots in Brighton to have a meal. Nice and easy and staff very friendly. The food is so good as well and have never dropped in terms of taste and standard. A real good place to have a nice meal alone or with a couple of friends.

Came for a late lunch. Nice decor . Took ages to get the waiters attention. Had the cheese burger and fries which came to £15 , for the price not tasty enough in fact it was tasteless . Cocktails were ok. I won’t be back and will not be recommending it to anyone

Went to this place with high hopes due to the great marketing and cool interiors. The entire aesthetic of the place including the menu presents itself as an OTT, “dirty burger” style restaurant with large portions and over the top ingredients. We ordered two burgers and a chilli cheese fries side. We honestly could have ordered two cheese burgers and a small fries at McDonald’s. The total including our drinks came to £40. This is a total rip off and we felt completely scammed. Even the presentation of the food was really poor and unappealing. You are paying for the aesthetic of the restaurant and the brand name rather than the food. Don’t go here, go to McDonald’s instead.

“ ‘mazing!” Was how our server reacted to every food request. They work hard to create something but not sure what. The staff work incredibly hard. It’s LOUD and the music is as hard as the furnishing. Don’t expect comfort. The food is processed, felt like everything was covered in American processed cheese. It was, frankly, disappointing. It was my first visit - unlikely i’ll be back.

Chose MeatLiquor for our friends stag do meal and we weren’t disappointed.

Came here over the bank holiday weekend with my fellow chicken critic. We were seated straight away by the window which was great for people watching. We then ordered 2 lots of monkey fingers which are essentially crispy chicken dippers lathered in buffalo sauce with blue cheese dip on the side. The buffalo sauce is homemade and boy o boy does it pack a punch. The blue cheese dip complemented the chicken well and was delicious and garlicky. We also ordered hippie fries and a cheese fries with gravy (we are known for over ordering but was also very hungry). Would 100% recommend the hippie fries if you are coming here. The cheese fries were also lovely and were my partners favourite. We got 2 soft drinks and over all the meal came to just under 30 smackers. Not bad for all the food at all! Will be back soon for another buffalo bonanza.

Visited on Sunday 18th August as a couple. When we came to order the drinks they didn’t have any Estrella so went for the Steigl Grapefruit, which was pleasantly refreshing. Also had one of their long cocktails, which was also nice. We each ordered a burger, one beef, one chicken. Both meats were scrummy and the burgers were filling. The green chilli burger was a bit watery. The Dead Hippy sauce was delicious. Would have a liked a more substantial dessert menu.

No he estado en Mealiquor desde hace unos años. Me avergüenza. Grandes hamburguesas Fantásticos cócteles y un vino tinto orgánico para morirse. El personal es fantastico. La reserva no fue recogida por el restaurante. El gerente intervino y nos consiguió un stand encantador (lleno el viernes por la noche) Realmente nos cuidó. Se admiten perros Encantador. No puedo esperar para volver.

We've been here quite a few times now. It's not the typical lunch spot but has plenty to make it worth a visit: great cocktails, maybe the world's best chilli cheese fries (I mean it... as long as you like a bit of chilli), and insanely good burgers.

We came for lunch and did the £10 lunch deal, any burger, fries and unlimited soft drink refills. The food was delicious and staff friendly. The decor is interesting and quirky.

Loved the look of the menu’s buffalo wings and they tasted just as good as they sounded. Ended up making up a platter of wings, cheesy chips, hash browns and mac and cheese bites.

Visited Brighton today for a day trip on the coach with my boyfriend, and prior to our visit had looked at where was a great quirky place to eat. Had read about this place online and we decided we had to come here and pay a visit. We both had the £10 lunch time deal which included any burger, fries and unlimited refills. We both decided to have the “dead hippie burger” and a cheeky side order of deep friend mac & cheese. The food and service was incredible will definitely be visiting again very soon 100%.

So having got the train down from London for a late afternoon business meeting I decided to stop by MeatLiquor for a quick bite to eat. Unfortunately arriving at 15:03 I had just missed out on the £10 for Burger, Fries and Unlimited Soda lunch deal which was a shame! Having had this at a few other of their venues across London it usually works quite nicely.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The atmosphere was epic and the burgers delicious. The chips were a little too salty but nothing a beer couldn't fix.

For the over priced food here you would expect it to be the best, but it's actually more of an insult.

I don't even know where to start with this experience... my friends and I have been avid supporters of the Meatliquor restaurants and have visited a variety of their sites across London and Brighton, with Brighton being our regular haunt.

We have been here several times over the past few years when visiting Brighton and had such a nice meal we decided to return and try again. We wanted a nice meal before our concert and a few cocktails but left immediately. Our food was so disappointing we left it barely touched - monkey fingers in a disgusting sour vinegary tasting sauce. Buffalo fries with crumbled blue cheese on top and the fries were cold so the cheese didn't even slightly melt. Didn't bother putting the sauce on top as that was also disgusting. Chilli cheese fries were missing meat, cocktails were about the only decent thing on the table but mine was small as well. We both left disappointed, nobody asked how our meal was... (think it was obvious it was shocking as we didn't touch it!) We just asked for our bill and went elsewhere for some more cocktails. Definitely won't bother again, clearly the place has gone downhill over the years.

Have been here twice now in two weeks and it is amazing. Cocktails are great, food is gorgeous. I am a veggie and there is plenty of choice, my husband is fussy and they catered to him perfectly.

Solo necesito trabajar en el servicio al cliente y tener a alguien un poco mejor manejando las cosas.

This place looks great and promises so much but it was a bit disappointing. Very salty fries and I usually like salty fries... with slow inattentive service. Was OK but have had better reatsurant experiences.

I was unexpectedly in the area whilst visiting Brighton and wanted a cocktail. I was not disappointed ! I had a frozen White Russian Shake and one without the ice cream which were both fabulous . The hot dogs were massive and really filling . Service was very prompt , friendly and helpful . Atmosphere relaxed and a quirky design inside . I would return again when visiting Brighton .

really, really quite expensive for what it is. you pay an extortionate amount for quite a small burger, and then you have to pay £3.50 extra for what taste like frozen chips. service was nice however.

The few times I went there I always choose something different to eat and drink (as in cocktails drinks). Everything is delicious even for Vegan or Veg (my friend loved it). From the outside it looks like a club or so, because of the colorful lights, slightly dark atmosphere and urban art. The fact that they have a table football is plus for me to burn some "calories" after all the good food and finish the meal in a great way.
