It’s taken me a while to decide if I would write this review- but when a friend asked me recently to visit again I said no and realised it was based on my first and only experience of visiting. My issue was the bill wasn’t cheap for one adult and a teenager so the service charge felt like a considerable amount- it’s also 12.5 % and the server made a point of checking I was ‘good to pay it’- did I want it removing ?and I felt a little pressured to- there was also a charity donation added. I would much prefer the bill amount and any amounts added to be separate and therefore my choice with total freedom. I appreciate everyone is different but I wasn’t a fan of this particular way of operating

We were only people in when we visited. Ordered mozzarella sticks and fried pickles for starters. Mozzarella sticks 4/5 Fried pickles 5/5 The dead hippie sauce is amazing. Things were going swimmingly but then we got mains and it went downhill. Burgers were average (cheeseburger and mushroom burger- which they forgot to put any cheese on) and chilli fries. Probably wouldn’t go back, was expensive, mains subpar and no atmosphere. If I was invited out with someone I’d go along but it’s not on my revisit list.

We got a beef burger and chicken burger and both were really good and filling. Service was friendly and accommodating. The salt and pepper fries were crispy and fresh, overall really good experience here. Chilled out vibes of a bar serving food. Would definitely return

I ate here with my wife, 8yo son and friends on Saturday night (21/10/2017). Had read the reviews and decided it was a must visit as we are rarely in the area.We were greeted by welcoming staff, shown to a round table (great) and were seated next to the pool table and near the table football. Our son had it all!Great menu - we ordered a selection of different meat burgers and fries, and had onion wings and slaw on the side. There was a good selection of real ale, and non-alcoholic drinks. A couple shared the filth pie for dessert, which apparently was to-die-for.An optional £1 charity donation was added to the bill. Great idea, and only comment on that is perhaps you said say what the charity is either on the bill, or while the orders are taken.

Came here on a Saturday evening and it was fairly busy as expected. Tables are extremely close together, may as well have benches instead of seats. Ordered food and it was average at best, I had Monkey Fingers (Battered Chicken Breast Pieces), very peculiar taste. Food comes on one big tray which is annoying, especially when there isn't even enough room on the table for the drinks and kitchen roll alone. A roll of kitchen roll on the table is unnecessary and just looks cheap. Napkins would be much better. Wouldn't bother coming again, Leeds has much more to offer.

Went for lunch and had the burger, chips and soft drink deal for £10 (which is certainly a fair price). The chips were fine, but the burger was too messy. It would be nice to have a brioche bun that actually stays together under the copious amounts of mayo/hot sauce etc! All in all I just feel this is just another one of those restaurants were the majority of customers are susceptible to the perceived perception of the place. Cool music, cool decor, cool looking customers, cool ways in which the food is served so the burger must be cool right!? Nah.

I went dining with some Asian MBA friends, we experienced severe racism because we are Asian. The staff and manager are very helpful to fix the situation. They understood our situation and gave us a 30% discount. I would not recommend anyone to go there because of the racism you would face. The dining experience was very unpleasant for one staff asking us to leave because of stereotypes. It is super sad to see how racism appear in London even I am third generation living in London.. People whom are working in Meat Liquor are very nice, you just need one person to ruin up the whole dining experience for you. Overall, this dinning experience was painful because people falsely accusing you based on your race.

Noticed this place walking out of the Trinity centre one night, and thought the menu looked worth a look. The place appeared closed from the outside as there was no one in sight. Once we had gone in, we were directed behind some curtains and downstairs to a massive underground room full of people and music. There were Polaroid photos on the wall of people who had done their famous 'chilli challenge' (winners and losers!) - a nice fun touch.Decor was lovely - American diner feel.I ordered a Budvar and a chilli cheeseburger which was AMAZING, and wasn't crazily hot like some burgers I've had. My friend had a chicken burger which looked great, but it had gone before I could try any! They have a few good bottled/canned ales that I will be sampling when I return. The staff were really nice and friendly which makes a change as in places like this they can sometimes be a bit pretentious. Overall I'm very impressed! Would recommend! :D

My partner and I walked past the week before and saw the sign thinking it was going to be similar to Red's but on reviewing the menu online finding they do mainly burgers decided to visit this weekend. We've found it hard recently to find somewhere that does decent burgers but meat liquor does them well, pink in the middle but can be cooked to your preference on request. You choose from bits, bobs and burgers on the menu and whatever you choose comes on one giant tray, so although I picked the monkey fingers (from the bobs) and my partner had the bacon and cheese burger we just split them and shared along with the sides cheesy chips, onion rings and elotes (from the bits). Had to ask for a knife (because I think you're meant to eat it all with your fingers) to cut the burger and onion rings (which are massive), but other than that great, attentive service. Great music and eclectic décor this is more of a bar that does food so no need to get really dressed up if going for something to eat. Formica tables and kitchen roll for napkins it ain't fancy, but its finger liquor fayre !

We regularly have a Sunday lunch at The Woods. It's so good with plenty of beef, a huge Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and plenty of vegetables on the side. They also do a mean cauliflower cheese and the horseradish has a nice bite to it. Well worth the money and it so saves on the washing up.

I visited your establishment today and was greeted by rude staff. I made a mistake with my order (my fault) and when I asked about it, I rudely got told it’s what I ordered. After the waitress had gone, I could see and hear her from near the till slagging me off and making insulting remarks about me. I have near been so insulted, humiliated or made to feel so little in a restaurant before. I mean, I couldn’t wait to get out. Under no circumstances would I ever return. For the insults and rude service, I was made to pay a service charge that they wouldn’t remove after I asked. It was the lady in the pink jumper that made the insulting remarks. Looked like a manager. As for the food, felt under cooked and I didn’t dare ask the waitress for it to be changed as I didn’t want to be humiliated again.

Apologies, that this is a belated review. We were on holiday in August (from Dorset). My husband had the Scampi & Chips and said it was the best he'd ever had! I had the veggie sausage & mash and that was very good as well.
