Good service. Food to Wetherspoons standards. Venue is terrible. They have packed as many chairs and tables in as possible. Feels very compacted and over crowded

I can't go above 3 stars because of the price. For reference, we ate at the Morley spoons a few days earlier and I got the exact same food but at almost 100% markup. It was about 8 quid there but here, it was 14 even. Everything else is like any other spoons so if you don't mind paying the shopping centre premium then it's great

Small eating area and more expensive than an out of town spoons. Nothing special but it's ok. Could easily become claustrophobic for some people when busy.

Cosy little pub. Pint & food was good (Punk IPA & Halloumi Wrap) & the price was about the going rate. Atmosphere was pleasant, not rowdy & not too noisy either. I'm unsure about the toilet facilities as I didn't use them, although I'm presuming they were up a mountain of stairs 😂

Honestly the food was pretty meh, the staff look and respond to you like the don't care about there customers and the atmosphere is pretty dead especially with no music, the creepiest thing is the CCTV in the toilets, won't be going back in a great hurry especially with other great choices nearby

Food is ok staff do seem to look fed up I did have to ask for clean cutlery and the cutlery i was given had dried food on it I think you get what you pay for and it's very cheap.

It's a Weatherspoon. New though, built to look old.

£1.99 for a pint of Abbot Ale, can't be bad. It's a 'spoons. What can I say? Didn't have any food. Staff seemed a little unenthusiastic, but maybe at the end of a shift.

Lovely pub to take a breather while shopping

Typical wetherspoons however it is a lot more pricey than other sites. Noticeable difference. No smoking outside which isn't really good for a pub but I imagine these rules are set by the whiterose center. Food was nice and didn't take long to arrive.

Pizza was nice but slightly over cooked.

Decent little spoons, didn't eat here but the food looked nice that was being served. Staff were very miserable and didn't look like they wanted to be there. The tables were dirty and the toilets were worse, with no working hand dryers!

Food was good, however my 20 something daughter found ordering food on the app an ordeal. Atmosphere was dark and noisy.

Would have given 5 stars if they had CUSTARD! The most basic of treats and we are denied! Come on Weatherspoons! Get your act together. Listen to your customers please.😀

The Scribbling Mill is a nice, cozy place to enjoy a pint. With its warm atmosphere and friendly service, it’s perfect for a relaxing drink. Always a good choice for unwinding!

Good spoons breakfast - good value and attentive and friendly staff

Freezer to Microwave food but not half bad

Good food and drink staff seem friendly only issue was when it was quiet no one was clearing tables

The usual weatherspoons quality and value. Had a leisurely lunch enjoyed it.

A smaller than normal spoons but handy if you're waiting to see a movie.

Service was good, lady behind the till very friendly, but the food was not anywhere near as good as other ones we've eaten at, the eggs were hard and everything was just barely warm, put us off coming again.

Food was awful, everything was freezing cold, it took a while so I was hoping it would be fresh, how I was wrong. To top it of the staff have no concept of manners, especially the blonde woman serving in the striped top, talk about attitude, absolutely no need for it. At least serve warm, edible food if you’re going to have the attitude of a 6 year old who’s been told no👍

It's nice to have a JDS not too far

A busy bar, unfortunately, once we managed to get a table, staff were slow to firstly collect previous family's food plates and glasses, however it wasn't until our food arrived that we were asked if we would like the table wiping, it was mining, why ask, but more to the point why wasn't it wiped when the table was cleared. Disappointed also that there were no steak to be had. It was a moment of let's eat, but disappointed generally.

Great pub at beckon shopping centre. The white rose fifth grade staff. Great service, great ambient Great. All in all great

Food was absolutely shocking, the service was disgusting and there's cameras in the toilets. Worst Spoons we've ever been to. Chicken burger got sent back to the kitchen twice and it still wasn't cooked properly..

A lively pub, nice food great service and a very continental atmosphere in the sun.

Breakfast - stopped in for a breakfast. Friendly staff and clean premises. Is a small place, can imagine may be busy later on in the day. Food as to be expected for a Wetherspoon, no complaints though. Happily recommend.

Went on a sunday . Good service . Lovely breakfast and latte . Ideal for when shopping centre opens.

Decent food and service. Tables crammed together, with chairs almost touching the next tables chairs. Very claustrophobic. 2x eggs Benedict and 2x refillable coffees just over £18, so not cheap either.

Been a long while since I’ve been to a Wetherspoon; it wasn’t too bad of a meal. We had to clear a table ourselves as many of the tables were full or had trays/food/drinks on the table. QR code ordering - the website isn’t the best to navigate, we often referred to the menu on the table and used the search function to find the food. The drinks came promptly, and the food came not too long after. The shawarma wrap I had was a little lacking - the chicken was a little TOO shredded and the wrap was just a tortilla wrap. No pita or naan here! Chips were good and the halloumi-style fries were adequate (but not for £6.70!) and they begged the question of why they was called “halloumi-style”. Overall quite a mid experience.

Great atmosphere and loads of options for every age group. Rates are very competitive

The food was lovely, better than other Werthers I have been to.

It's a witherspoon what more is there to say

First visit to a Spoons. Ordered fish & chips with a soft drink (£13), did this via the app while I waited at my little table outside. I didn't fancy eating indoors despite the gloomy weather outside - all the tables seemed to be pushed too close together and I didn't really want to be eating food whilst listening to a Karen telling her hubby off. Service was pretty quick, my drink was brought straight away. The meal was fine, maybe a bit stingy with the chips, especially as I passed on the veg. Overall, I would happily eat here again..although I'm tempted to try a closer one (Batley), I think the menu may be cheaper. I've uploaded some menu shots of The Scribbling Mill with my review just incase anyone wants recent pricing. Edit: Regarding The Union Rooms at Batley, The same meal cost me £10.

We called in for a couple of drinks first round was perfect,our next round of drinks two Carling the head was not anywhere near to the top,has the head was going down it wasn't even near a full pint,my wife went up to the bar and asked if the girl serving could top our drinks up,in a abrupt manner the girl behind the bar said that's the best you're going to get it and handed them back,this will be the last time they get out custom...

Very nice pub I thought it was a bit cramped with tables. Food was over cooked slightly only just warm as it was waiting to be served. The staff were very pleasant but needed more staff.

When food arrived it was all cold, When I complained I got no response or apology. Would not go back.

I love Wetherspoons pubs, but this place is absolutely shocking. The staff are rude and miserable, food is rushed, and there isn't enough space to swing a cat. The atmosphere is ok, but its also an expensive spoons compared to other larger establishments in the area.

This place is small for a JD but can get quite busy, ordering was easy, and there was a meal deal on. I don't normally order from JD with being in the top 10 percent of Google food reviews, but ordering was easy, when my food came out it was very quick but the food was cold, the curry was frozen in the middle, I complained and they did me a fresh one, the service staff were quite nice about this, but the food is not that great, most is microwaved, if you want something without the microwave go for something fried like a burger or something similar. Or just simply don't buy food from here. The pictures are from the first one that was still frozen.

Much of the breakfast was cold, paticularly the "toast", bacon and eggs. Note "toast" = bread had been waved in front of a toaster.

Always fast service, the quickest of any spoons ive been to. There is no compromise on quality and the food is always hot. Staff are friendly and check up on you. Seating can feel a little crammed as it isnt the biggest room but it hasnt caused any issues

Food was great and service okay. However it has poor disabled access, especially as they are an accessible restaurant. From my experience one bar style table near door entrance needs removing as is preventing people like myself and those with prams inadequate access. I ended up bashing a couple of chairs to get past to other seating, with no assistance from any staff. Otherwise ok.

Prices have increased in recent times which unfortunately does not represent the food received. Lager prices are still cheap and a wide range to choose from. Food unfortunately is not worth it anymore considering the competition that is out there. Greene King etc...still, great staff, great atmosphere and probably the best locations, my favourite being "The old unicorn" in Bramley.

Quick service, used the QR code on the table. Waitress IDed my daughter which is good as she is only 18. Food hot and delicious. It was very busy but we found a table, only down side is that the prices have gone up quite a bit since we last went, but it still wouldn't put us off going again.

don't use the app to order items out of stock advertising steak night this pubs don't do steaks spent £50 on curries then the waitress told us you have to order from the bar to get full menu got an apology but no food voucher

The food was very bland the chef was very rude when I returned the food and complained that it had no taste and was very greasy, he even tried to not take the food back and say it was me who was the problem so I had to get the manager involved which made the situation more uncomfortable so we had to leave with my family and go somewhere else, probably the worst experience iv ever had in a restaurant pub.

Didn't eat so I can't rate the food but it looked good and the coffee is always good

Small ham,egg and chips with roast veg .Ham was a thin ,cold slice and would of liked a alternative to chips .

I come here regularly, the only reason I rated the atmosphere a 3 is because of people around me arguing and shouting but nothing to do with the actual pub, I think the food is great and it’s an overall accommodating place, the staff were lovely as usual and a bartender in particular ‘Molly’ I think her name was, she was great everytime I ordered a drink off the app it came with in 2 minutes and just an all round great place

Small and compact but with all the benefits of Wetherspoons....Cheap food and drink thats good quality and served by friendly staff!!! Only downside I can see is it will be extremely busy at peak times and won't be able to cope with the volume of customers.

Went for breakfast this morning nice little stop off before going round the shops bacon was perfectly cooked and all greatly arranged not like that means anything but good to look at all served very quickly very impressed with this place although been on the small size of pub it does well and great for a shopping experience

Was excited to try this new Wetherspoons in White Rose Shopping Centre. Nicely furnished. Quite small for a typical Wetherspoons, but still nicely furnished. However, the prices of this branch were a surprise! Went for some food, but the prices seemed to be £2 more than regular Wetherspoons! Ended up walking out. I go to Wetherspoons because it does seem to be cheaper than regular high street restaurant chains (cheap and cheerful), but it’s like this Wetherspoons thinks it’s one of them. For instance, a panini can cost £6.09 in a Leeds city centre branch with a soft drink, at the White Rose it’s £8.17! - and there are less options (why no tuna?!) A jacket potato (with soft drink) in Leeds city centre is £7.21, whereas at White Rose it’s £9.30! Not the kinda prices you usually get! Is it due to White Roses’s high business rates!? (Prices from Jan 2024). Why are the prices 22% - 25% higher!? Its a real shame! Disappointed.

Wow just been for breakfast everything was freezing like it just came out of the fridge . Even poached eggs we thought they get made fresh well they don’t . Sent everything back and the next lot was freezing again . Got our money back . I don’t know if it’s new year hang overs but that’s a recipe for total food poisoning . Cooks need a good sorting out sending food out like that . What a waste of travel when your looking forward to a good breakfast . Going well down hill weatherspoons at min . We wasn’t the only ones complaining too

Freezing cold in early December, no heating on and drafty window wall/glass doors. Almost everyone sat there in coats. Very busy on a Saturday late morning. I prefer the Morley spoons for comfort and space. The breakfast and drinks are standard as you'd expect.

Nice little pub when you want to escape the spending at white rose shopping centre for a while . Usual cheapish Wetherspoons prices for food and drink , although the all day brunch I got was only warm and not hot . Service for the drinks and food we ordered was very quick though . It wasn't too busy , but it was a midweek afternoon..
