Best burgers in Tooting. You have to try the buffalo wings & curly fries. I did. I throughly enjoyed the food. love the fact they offer different types of fries too. The milkshake are also so good you will not be disappointed by anything on their extensive menu. Real value for money too xx

Lovely team. Main menu is great food. Ingredients in lunch menu sub-quality which is a shame. Stick to the main menu which has better quality ingredients/meat in the burgers.

We had visited this restaurant before and found it mediocre at the time, so decided to give it another go. Never again, the food was absolutely atrocious. I don’t eat red meat so the only alternative was a chicken dish. I decided not to invest in a burger as I was sure about the flours or quality. I decided on a relatively easy option which I mistakenly thought would be done with some expertise. I settled on a Louisiana Chilli chicken which was supposed to have a special spice rub before barbecuing. When it came this was not barbecued, rather it had been broiled in a bottle sauce with soggy rubbery skin that tasted disgusting. I had also ordered a side of fries that never materialised. My daughter and art net had the buy one get one half price burger which came with a side of fries and a drink. They chose milkshake for which they had to pay an extra £3 each and a mac n’ cheese side. The milkshakes were so thick you couldn’t suck them up the straw. My daughter sent hers back so that they could actually add some milk to allow the milkshake to be fluid, the texture was awful as the kinder bueno hadn’t been blended enough. She also didn’t enjoy her burger which had no flavor. The best thing about that meal was the fries which were excellent. We had to send the mac n’ cheese back because it was literally like cardboard with cheese grated on top. They did decide not to charge us for the mac n’ cheese, regardless this was a really bad experience.

Food (beef burger and buttermilk chicken and chips) was cooked the day before then reheated and served... Nothing was freshly made.Called the restaurant and staff said 'Due to delivery made by Deliverooo, the quality might differ and we always cook fresh' (staff could bearly talk as they couldnt find an excuse for their poor food quality. Well, cooking fresh is one thing but serving reheated food is something else... Still waiting for a refund...as I will not be going there ever...

Absolutely fantastic experience!! I made a reservation for 17 members of my family for iftar today. From the point I made the booking to the point we all left the restaurant, The service we received was amazing, Alhamdulillah! I must say Hospitable and respectful hosts, Delicious food, extremley organised and fast service, overall an amazing experience. Often order takeout from this restaurant, and the quality of the meat is excellent, and the food really good. Staff are friendly but it's always very busy so they are a little run off their feet and you can end up waiting a while to collect food you had ordered for a particular time. It would also be improved if they supplied BBQ sauce with their food, and even if you could buy some of their own make of BBQ sauce. We often order the smokestack platter (£35.89) and it has very generous portions of a variety of smoked and BBQ food and could easily serve 3-4 people. I also order the medium chocolate milkshake (£3.79) and my husband orders the mac & cheese (£3.99). Definitely a place we keep returning to, and I believe they also opened on Christmas Day to cook and serve food to the homeless community in the local area.

Good quality food and lots of options on the menu. Great milkshakes. Fantastic service - one of the burgers was cold and the owner gave us some free desserts as compensation which was very nice of him.

Mediocre food, i went to the restaurant once before years ago in 2015 didn’t like the beef burgers so ever bothered going again. Today i thought to give it a 2nd chance but the beef burgers have seemed to gone even worse than I remember. The size of the burger was good, chips and buffalo wings were good but the beef patty inside the burger (smokey bandit) was extremely dry. I am not sure if i was supposed to tell them how i want my meat cooked as they never asked. I definitely will never be giving it a 3rd try. Very disappointed to the point i didn’t even bother taking pictures!!!

They were not busy. - Bathroom was locked. Staff blamed it on customer not locking it properly. - Manager had a bit of an unfriendly tone and not welcoming. - All the chips we ordered was poor quality. The skin on chips was the worst as it had this poor salty texture - It felt serving staff was on their first day on the job - Diet Coke is quite expensive

In the past, we have been to Meat and Shake and it was...ok. Not bad at all but I wouldn't have gone out of my way to go eat there. We went back this afternoon and it was way better than before Covid! Firstly, they offer a burger, fries and soft drink deal for around £5. I went with this option and it was very good. The chicken burger was southern fried chicken and the bun was soft and squidgy...perfect. A little heavy on the spiced mayo sauce but still very good. My guest had the mushroom burger and it was under £10. It was worth every bite. A sturdy burger that doesn't hold back on millions of mushrooms and dripping in cheese. The service was good but they need staff. One server to run tables, service the take away orders and make the shakes. Top notch though. Will be going back again very soon.

The food here was frankly such poor quality for the money we paid. The chicken wings were awful, the sauce was over powering and extremely sour, cheap quality. The chicken wings were extremely poor quality and not fresh. Cheap meat that smelled and didn’t taste good. I had the chicken Cesar Salad, the chicken was precooked bought in, not cooked in the restaurant and the burger my partner had was cheap and cloying. The only thing he enjoyed was the apple pie milkshake.

I visit Meat and Shake quite regularly with my family and generally we find the food and the service good. We came yesterday and it was a totally different experience: the food was all very over cooked, the children’s burgers looked and tasted very cheap with frozen buns and burgers. I had a chicken burger that was very bland, dry, overcooked. My husband had a meat burger that tasted a bit off and unsurprisingly he has been sick since last night. The service was bordering on rude, the waitress made several mistakes and was unhappy when we tried to correct her, and generally made us feel unwelcome. We will look for another burger place from now on.

Just had lunch here, food was okay......my strawberry shake just tasted of syrup, which on previous visits was not the case, so much so I couldn’t finish a regular shake. The burgers used to be of a higher standard.

I went with a party of 8 very fussy eaters. And surprisingly we all found something we liked. Service was brilliant. Staff were attentive. Tables were clean. Food was amazing. My 4 year old who is very fussy enjoyed her nuggets, looking forward to our next visit!

I would like to say that I have been coming here for some time and the food is always on point. The service from Roger is spot on. He is friendly and makes the dining experience a great pleasure. The chilli con carne chips were so good! The strawberry mocktail was also really good! The sausages was nice. They have a very good children’s menu - the perfect portion for kids and very well priced. Chicken was a bit bland I’m my opinion. Overall I would recommend.

We went here on a Saturday evening for a burger and some beers. Not realising that this place doesn’t serve alcohol, it then became all about the burgers. We had to wait a long time for food- they seemed to be servicing a huge number of take away orders. When it came, my burger was fine, my boyfriends ‘burnt ends’ were very chewy. I also found an insect of some description in my burger but the restaurant discounted the price of my meal immediately.

For the price of meals, this was a very disappointing experience with poor steak, really overcooked past the medium rare ordered! My kids waited 45mins for two chicken burgers and a steak after when asking the waitress when the food might be out she said we could leave if we wanted to! Really really poor!

Do not understand some of the reviews. We found the place nice, food was good and reasonably priced. We ordered two Cool Joes and one burger with smoked sausage. All were perfect. Enjoyed our meal and will be going again.

Came here for my husband’s birthday and we enjoyed every minute. A pleasant lady named Laila served us and she took into consideration everyone’s likes when taking the orders. My mum is normally fussy with her tea but loved the tea prepared here. My daughters were both thrilled with the Oreo shake and Laila added her personal touch of chocolate sauce for my younger daughter and she just couldn’t get enough of it. As for our main food we enjoyed the sharing platter and was impressed with the meat cooked to perfection. We will definitely recommend this place and would come back here soon.

They need to take the mango coconut shake off of the menu. Second time now I ordered the shake and you can't taste the mango or coconut. Also service is poor and slow. Very disappointing. May have to look for another burger place.

Upon arrival, the restaurant is small and intimate, so it may be worth booking in advance. We came around lunch time so it wasn't too busy, but i've walked past during dinner time and it gets busy. Service is good, orders were taken promptly and food arrived quickly. Burger was nice and presented beautifully. It mildly annoys me when you have to pay for fries separately to your burger - who has a burger on its own!! But, nevertheless the food is good.

Anteriormente he comido aquí en 2015. La comida y el servicio eran magníficas. Decidí llevar a toda la familia en julio de 2017. ¡Qué error! Habiendo confirmado la reserva en el teléfono, que rápidamente llegó 45 minutos más tarde. No tenían el recogimiento de la reserva, pero para mí manged encontrar una mesa. Compraron las bebidas equivocado, y nos las arreglamos para derrame de uno al otro lado de la mesa. El pollo estaba extremadamente difícil, casi incomible. El pecho también estaba seco y sin sabor. Los batidos, increíble, la última vez que fui, eran normales. Y encima de todo, la señora compró la máquina de pago de la tarjeta, y me preguntó si me gustaría pagar con un consejo o sin! En el lugar, o qué! Eso fue cien libras desaprovechado. Otras ramas parece estar haciendo bien, de acuerdo a amigos a visitar recientemente. Mantente alejado de este lugar como la peste.

Los nachos estaban bien caliente, cubiertas con queso y crema agria con una pizca de jalapeños. . Absolutamente delicioso.. La hamburguesa con Turquía el tocino era para morirse! ! Para vuestra información el establecimiento sirve carne halal. Servicio rápido. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Been here a few times now. Went again yesterday and felt compelled to write a review. The food is great. The milkshakes are better. Good, friendly service. My only complaint would be that a lot of drinks on the menu had been crossed out as unavailable. Not a problem for me as the peanut butter, banana and brownie shake was still there!Don't make too many plans for afterwards...you will eat so much you won't be able to move!

I've eaten here a few times, trying a variety of the burgers. I particularly enjoy the buffalo chicken wings (some of the best I've had in the UK, in terms of proper buffalo sauce), and they make great milkshakes. Good burgers, sometimes excellent, sometimes good.

The place is nice and cosy. Waiters are helpful and knows what they're doing unlike some other establishments. However, food is below expectations for what we paid for. Steak was over cooked, bland, quite small. Philly Sandwich looks and tastes is far from description! Dirty Chips was over smothered with ingredients. The only good thing I'd say- in addition to serving- was the milkshake.

Absolutely poor service, the staff are not managed properly as they seem to look depressed and just careless including the manager and the food was basically salted cardboard. As we got there to open fast, they sat us down and left. No menu until we asked for it. We then ordered after another long wait since the staff would walk past and avoid looking at our table. An hour went by and we once again had to remind them about our order. The food came and the meat was over cooked, the cauliflower burger was raw and hard as stone. We didn't even finish our food, it was not worth it. I had to raise my voice for the manager or staff to pay attention and asked for the bill. The MANAGER had some poor attitude as she saw my group being unhappy with the service. They did not come with the card reader even though all the staff was just in the bar doing nothing. So we decided to walk to the till an pay as they took so long. The MANAGER had poor attitude and said 'someone needs to calculate it' when asked to divide the bill even though the calculator was on the table. Someone needs to replace the manager I would not hire her.

Had a delicious burger with a tasty meat patty and a turkey bacon topping. I can explain how tasty it all was. The perfect fresh bun, the right amount of sauce and the right size to fill me up. I'm really lucky to have move into a flat a road away.

Really was looking forward to the brisket and smoked ribs, but the website menu is not branch specific. So got there and was told we dont do the smoked menu and the menu offered was the old menu, nothing exciting. We left and went to Meat Rack in Earlsfield, much better and no hidden gimicks!

We visited on a Tuesday lunch time. A few other diners but relatively quiet. Friendly and polite service, tasty food. We had a chipotle chicken burger and a plain burger. The lunch deal includes a small free side dish, we had a decent portion of skin-on chips each. My chicken was very fresh and tasty, nicely cooked. We had a milkshake each, both very nice (strawberry, cherry and chocolate). Total £20, which we were happy with. Thank you!

I was introduced to this place by a friend and was glad to hear it! Took the sausage starter and didn't expect a juicy one to come out. Then ordered a truffle shuffle and it was delicious. Succulent sauce was oozing out of it every time you slice or bite in it! The truffle taste was not over powering it was blended well with the beef patty. The place has a good American diner atmosphere to it, and which was a bonus! This always gives a nice dine in vibe. And lastly the price. You can enjoy an evening burger dinner or chicken dinner for the price they do, which I think is worth it (they are not expensive anyway hahaha)

I came to Meat and Shake on a saturday lunch time with my partner and we were seated immediately. The server was friendly and took our order promptly. The food took a little while to arrive but I put this down to it being fresh. The veggie burger (Rostie Potsie) is SO good- I really enjoyed the Chipotle Mayo and the fries and onion rings were also really delicious. My partner had the half rack of ribs which was huge and he said it was the best he has had- they melted in the mouth and came away from the bone with just a fork. I didn't manage to drink my milkshake (peanut butter, banana and brownie- delicious) and the server didn't hesitate to pop it into a takeaway cup for me. The only slight downside was the aircon/heating was blowing right onto the seating, to the point where napkins etc were blowing around if not held down and it created an unpleasant draught down the back of our necks.However, this was minor and we shall definitely be coming back for more great food!

I'd heard a few good things about Meat and Shake. So went to check it out. Burger was over cooked. Patty meat was tasteless. Covered in sauces to mask the lack of taste. When you have Dip n Flip and Honest Burger down the road. There is no need to step into this place.

Brilliant stater and burgers. The service is excellent also and staff are polite. The diner is clean and is a must visit!

Had a friend visiting from Birmingham so checked up local halal joints to check out and this one seemed promising. I say seemed. As we entered, the host greeted us and was just like 'yeah take a seat guys' pointing to some seats but not really letting us know which table to be sat at. It's not really a big deal but then to come over and say 'oh you sure you wanna sit here? cause the toilets are right next to you', like dude we're already sat down, time to give us some of that customer service now. The server was quite loud and in your face, so any conversation we were having could have probably been heard by patrons near the door! I ordered the half rack and it was legit the worst meat I've ever eaten - even though it looked great when another customer was ordering. It was more broiled rather than bbq'd. There was no smokeyness to it, no sizzle, the meat was very dry and the sauce on top tasted like a devil's bbq sauce which I have at home. My friends had burgers they were happy with and the truffle fries were really the main reason why I gave this rating. Then the guy starts drying/organising cutlery right behind our table, at a time when there were probably 3/4 covers on and they definitely weren't running a risk of not having enough forks! When we asked to pay by card the guy forgot and carried on polishing his bloody cutlery lol, all the while singing along aloud to the soundtrack which was very off piste.The place itself looked great and had a good vibe, it just didn't give me that excitement to want to go back. again. ever. All in all, little attentiveness by the host, followed by an unproductive main. Won't be returning, not at least to the Tooting branch.

Had to try it after been recommended by my friend Ahmed. Went to the one at Ealing Broadway, A fully halal menu and no alcohol. A good place if you are a meat eater and love your BBQ . Also if you are with friends or family. Fridley staff and good service. Well recommended.

Been here many times and the food has been brilliant. Have tried most of the burgers and steaks. My personal favourite burger is the Rib n Cheese Burger. The Hot Link Sausages are also one of my favourites.The service has always been great and the food has always arrived promptly even with a full house.It does get busy so I would recommend reservations but I think they have recently stopped doing so and it's simply first come first serve at the moment.They are quite small. They have 3 6seater booths, 3 4seater booths and then some smaller tables seating maybe another 20-25 people.It definitely isn't cheap but it isn't super expensive either. I'm my opinion it's worth it especially if you're eating out only once in a while.

We absolutely loved the shakes, i had a steak that tasted pretty good. Didn't love the service but i would come back if only to have another shake!

visited this place again giving it another chance after a total of 5 visits over couple years, first ever visit was great , great burger and shake, however things have only slowly deteriorated ending up in tooting the other day i decided to give it one last try, THE DONT DO ICE CREAM MILKSHAKES ANYMORE and the burger is a shadow of its former self. disappointment for what was one of the burger greats around.

I really enjoyed my meal at Meat & Shake, the burger was really juicy, the chips were tasty.The restaurant isn't too big, which can cause a problem with queuing at busy times, but the service is reasonably quick and the place is clean, so waiting isn't always a problem.

Too expensive for the quality they provide. Tried it for the first time, and I'll never get anything from them. Food quality was poor, the taste was funny and the coleslaw was literally the worst thing I have ever tasted in my whole life.

Recently went because the menu looks awesome and I really wanted to try it. The prices are high but fine if the food is going to match up to that price then great! It took a few minutes to find our seats but that was fine, it allowed us to look at the menu and the restuarant. Beautiful place, love the design, the atmosphere and couldn't wait to try it. We sat, ordered our drinks, food and waited. Shortly the food and drinks came all in really good time. Before I started eating though I noticed my chicken burger came with the weirdest garnish. I kid you not I was given like a single slice of maybe a jalepeno pepper another single slice of a red pepper with what I can only describe as raw onion shavings. By shavings I literally mean two tiny pieces of raw onion.Question is why? It looked so awful why would you add something that adds nothing to the dish?!?!?I thought maybe it was to add something to burger because surely this couldn't be decorative? Anyway I ordered a jerk chicken burger with a pineapple salsa but where was the salsa? It was like a barbecue sauce chicken thing that kind of looked like something you get from a supermarket sandwich filler. A bit over sauced and when you write pineapple salsa on a menu, you expect a fresh pineapple salsa right? Either way it tasted eh, fine, ok, not what I expect for something over £9. Chips were delicious though. My boyfriend ordered a truffle burger, didn't ask though how he wanted it cooked, so can only presume that the burger was frozen? As i could only presume that my chicken burger was also frozen based on how it tasted but I could be wrong. We both ate our meal and fine, but the price though.... You just cant justify £40 on a meal that's average at best. Really disappointed because it looked like it had so much potential, but I definitely wont be going back. Was really rooting for you to be an awesome place for sure but I cant justify spending that again for eh average.

Nice place to eat burgers & steaks. I went with friends service was good and so was the food. Recommend this place.
