Tried this today for the first time... great wee place with excellent atmosphere and even better beer 🍺 👍 lovely artwork on the walls too, small inside but a nice decent sized seating area out the back, we were end February and it was like a nice suntrap, bet it's lovely in the height of summer ☀️

Really lovely little bar! I enjoy drinking sours and they have one of the better selections in town and a much cosier environment than most bars selling them! Sitting outdoors with my co-workers after a shift is my favourite thing.

Visited yesterday with Brother and Boyfriend after a food fayre. Absolutely loved it, so quirky and unique. Unusual and fascinating decor. Friendly chatty and knowledgeable staff. Had such a good gossip. An amazing selection of drinks went with one the barman recommended. An ale which I hadn't tried. The selection of Sours and Ciders were some of the most varied I had seen. Would definitely highly recommend. Very quickly felt like a friend whilst chatted to other customers and staff. Place is laid back and unconventional. Toilets clean and well maintained. Would be happy to go in alone. They have recently added a tv which shows a trail cam in the woods. It's wonderful to watch the wildlife.

The cutest bar with a great atmosphere, well priced drinks, and amazingly friendly staff. The bartender gave us recommendations, tasters of beer, and the overall vibe in here was amazing.

Brilliant micropub with a great choice of beers

Very good Newcastle micropub in a former newsagents opposite Haymarket bus station. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout. Whacky interior decoration and fittings and an affinity for heavy metal music! Lots of outdoor seating in the garden to the rear. Very friendly and helpful ladies running the bar.

It's different, not your usual chain pub fare .

Cook little joint, get in, get a drink and be nice. A good bar for good people.

Excellent selection of beers and they even have a special selection of sours which makes me super happy. Love the interior, the staff are lovely and knowledgeable, great little beer garden and it makes me happy there is sunscreen on the bar for when it gets hot!

Never been in, but I think they use these ratings in a comical way. I wait for the bus outside. The place always seems busy so that can only be a good thing.

Great range of cask and keg beer, all seemingly very well kept. Good range in the fridges too. My kind of atmosphere, nice and close tables and friendly locals. Love.

Been going for a long time pre-game and always been a great experience. Also been on "off" days and there's no change this is a perfect little bar. The queong system is as qwerky as the decor but works very well due to the small space. The reason it doesn't get 5 star is because the change of ownership has clearly affected the way it's run and the last couple of times the staff were not the usual friendly happy chaps and the music was much too loud for a lunchtime. Perhaps this was a one off, I hope so.

Absolutely stellar selection of beers and very fair priced. Staff are friendly and happy to answer questions. Not a very large internal area, but lively and the decoration adds to the charm

I enjoyed my first visit here! It’s extremely unique but the service and beers are class! It was quite busy when we went about 3pm on a Friday, but we managed to get a seat. If you love your craft beer it’s worth a visit

In a word, faultless. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable bar staff and a friendly vibe all round. Never a sniff of trouble from a very diverse clientele. I never miss an opportunity to pay a quick visit.

I love this place. So much character and lush drinks. Staff are lovely too. The music playlist here is varied and lively. Variety of tables to lounge at or even have the start of a date night. Warm and cosy on a winters night and clean toilets. Little outdoor area too which would be lovely on a summers evening. My mates love the variety of beers here. I tried a lovely sweet apple cider. Nice selection of standard crisps (pipers etc)

Best ales you'll find anywhere and lost ring here and they really were concerned and took my details incase it turns up. Such lovely bar staff

Almost always a stopping off point when visiting the city centre for a drink, wide selection of well kept traditional hand pulled cask ales and craft style drinks served over the bar by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Plenty of outside seating space front and back considering the size of the venue. Try the Kasteel Rouge for something a bit different.

Relaxing place, with that long ago atmosphere, and drinks for the select taste.

First visit and almost like a hidden gem although it's very easy to find and close to Elden bus station. Multi coloured walls, proper cosy feel and relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of choice for any palette, I chose a great pale ale, White Rat. Easy on the taste buds and set me up for the day.

We were pointed in this direction from The Town Mouse pub, and it did not disappoint. Great, friendly pub with Mexican decor, but great beers and ciders. Worth a visit.

Nothing mean about this fantastic bar, hidden within this establishment is a fine selection of excellent ales, something for all. Fills up quickly and particularly full pre-match days. Space out back for those finer days.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and wonderful kitsch decor... wide select of ales, cider, and lager to suit all tastes.

Love it! One of my favourite places for a beer. Fun decor, some different/ strange beers on tap and I love them. Cherry beer is incredible. The little outdoor patio is also a nice area to sit, even now in the cold.

Top wee pub full of character. Amazing sour beer selection which is right up my street. Music pretty damn fine as well. Vibe is laid back and welcoming. Zero hassle, love it. Best independent pub in the city centre if you ask me. Get yersel in there!

Best bar in town and they had the heating on! We stayed for ages.

Great choice of beer that changes regularly. If you're hungry you can order pizza from a local company that has, for us, arrived quickly, been hot and tasty.

Lovely Beers..Toilet situation needs sorting thou, massive que, you pee in a old fish tank, and it stinks...

Smells of Domestos but the beer's good.

Once popped in for a piss on the way to the match. Not bad, would urinate here again.
