McDonald's The Meteor Centre in Derby

Careless stupid staff. Ordered food specific due to allergies LIFE THREATENING ONES. Ignored everything and sent a child's meals with the allergen foods. Called 112 times and the phones been taken off. We have this so many times with this place now I am taking it further. You could have killed my child because of your stupidness and it's disgusting you can ignore people and not even check.

Quick and friendly service . Quality food at a very reasonable price. Cath, a long-serving customer assistant is efficient and cheerful.

Rubbish service order completely wrong manager useless no wonder her staff weren't up to the job ...

Bins overflowing and tables not being cleared. Took 20 minutes for my single wrap to be made due to all the Uber eats orders which seem to take priority. The curly haired lad making the food was rubbing his nose and then taking the meat out of the draws with his fingers whilst laughing with his colleague. When I opened my wrap it only had one piece of chicken, when I informed the lady at the till she just laughed and took it into the back to show the lad who made it, who also found it funny, no apology from anyone. 10 minutes later I got a new wrap but decided to bin it as I didn't trust they hadn't spat in it. I will never EVER step foot in this "restaurant" again. Absolutely appalling.

Came through the drive through to get food bought out wrong order entirely my partner went in to sort it they gave him literally just his meal not mine then came back and gave him my food for him to put in bag himself and then still forgot a burger we ordered and gave us half a filled box of fries. When our order was being taken at the drive through nothing was showing on the screen either.

Visited this McDonalds off Frank Whittle Way in Derby on Sunday 21st for dinner and found a long queue for the drive-thru, so waited 10 mins and placed our order for four meals costing over £25, then eventually asked to wait. I asked where I should park and the lady just looked vacant and said "anywhere, we'll find you". Ok so it was really busy with people waiting and Ubereats drivers (with their cool bags) but I managed to find a space back around near the drive-thru. Nobody came out for 15 minutes so I became frustrated and went inside... again there was a massive queue waiting to be served but eventually I got to the front and was told someone will bring our food out ASAP. Five minutes later a guy came out with our meals and we opened the bag to find two out of the four burgers were stone cold! I just couldn't be bothered to go back inside and wait yet again so we just gave up and left. Its not the first time we've had bad service at this Meteor McDonalds that to me is one of the worst run I have ever known. In future we'll drive further away to Markeaton or just go to Burger King, KFC or the new Tim Hortons, they do not deserve our business.

1400-1500 After an Uber eats sealed delivery. Items were missing from McDonald’s. Mainly a cheeseburger missing from a child who was very upset. Out of a £42.57 order I was missing £13 worth of food. Spoke to the staff at counter to a very un-caring shift manager insinuated I was a liar and it wasn’t missing. And it was. I wouldn’t have used £7 of fuel for £1.29 cheeseburger. It angered me. Tried speaking to the other shift manager Lauren who was a bit more who seemed a little bit nicer, however, still Didn’t help my situation. I don’t think this is a way to speak to the customers. So I spoke to a friend who was a former employee at this particular restaurant. He assured me non of the staff are hygienic and they go for cigarettes and don’t wash their hands. Sweat drips into the food and is served to customers. Coughing and sneezing on the food work station and not cleaning. Males masturbate In the toilets and they don’t wash their hands. On Saturday nights the female staff put the buns in the rear side of their trousers to simulate bum implants and it’s served to customers. I’m absolutely gobsmacked by the staff and service.

Breakfast time visit for a takeaway, quick and easy ordering at the till, food is prepared while you wait, you know what you are getting with McDonalds, worth a visit once in a while.

This restaurant has become useless. I've had Mcflurries that are less than half full, 7 nuggets when I've paid for 9, fries that barely fill the packet and a burger with so much sauce it looked like a murder scene. Markeaton branch is so much better.

We often get deliveries or drive throughs from here. The kids love it. The adults less so - due to the constant problems we have. We're always missing items (especially apple pies!) or they ignore any instructions we give. The latest delivery we had was missing 4 items. We haven't had any issues with the other McDonald's we use in Derby.

I’ve been coming to that Maccies for some time, I’m here eating Maccies for the 4th time in 2 months and I’m just sat here and I’m fuming. I can’t believe McDonald’s and I can’t believe the meteor centre, and I’m staggered at the service, I’m sick to death with the wrong order. If I was the manager I’d be giving the workers a fine. Or be swinging punches, it’s a standard order for an established international company I’m flabbergasted. If I was the manager I would be making changes. This McDonalds is my local one and Evey single time I go there they miss an item or its stone cold and ALWAYS spend at least 25 minutes waiting for it. They say fast food kills you quicker but I think dying of old age is the biggest concern going there. Why take so many orders if you can't keep up with the demand. Absolutely no concern for the customer at all. If I ran my business the same as that particular McDonalds I'd be bankrupt by end of month.

The food here no matter what time of day you go whether eating in or going to the drive thru the food is always cold .. chips always cold and. Undercooked … and today a hot chocolate that wasn’t even Luke warm. Sick of spending money there just to. Throw it away and order elsewhere .. every single time without fail … you go back to complain or Ring to complain just to get the same outcome cold food ! Won’t be using this one. Ever again it happens to often.

Was on the phone to someone this afternoon and at the end of the call was most kindly told to f*** off will not be returning as staff are extremely rude

Just been to the drive through. 3 medium chips and 3 double cheeseburgers. Good job we checked at the pick up point as no chips in the bag. Got home to find the chips cold and stale, with the burger in a similar state. The bread felt about 2 days old. If it was not for the fact we were at home eating them (about a mile away) they would have been returned. We will not be going back there in a hurry!!

Went through the drive thru ordered our meals, collected them at the window, got home and there was no chips after paying for the meal option, complete t****s

Visited on Saturday 6th around 12:45.Unfortunately, I can't leave zero stars so it has to be one!I have several complaints about the service provided by this restaurant and the quality of the food served.It seems that everything that could have gone wrong with my visit to this particular franchise, did - from the long wait in a queue to order at the drive-thru (approx 10 mins), to ordering one drink and finding at the pay window that a different drink was being offered (they didn't have the drink I had ordered but didn't tell me at the time of placing my order) and all three items of food I purchased were lukewarm (why this was so is a good question since the drive-thru was nose-to-tail and presumably fresh food was being cooked continuously?)I didn't complain at the time - not wanting to enter the confined space inside the restaurant - my reason for enduring the 10min queue to order at the drive-thru. There were no staff members outside either that could be told.I contacted McDonald's UK Customer Service immediately after returning home - such was the appaling experience I'd had - but theyaren't in the least bit interested as this restaurant is a franchise operation and have effectively 'passed the buck'.I know that 'Fast Food' isn't 'Fine Dining' but when you visit a McDonalds restaurant, you would expect the service to be quicker and the food to be hot. Or am I just being picky??

Used the drive-thru today 7/3/21 at 11:50 and the girl Ellie (I asked for her name) who took our order was very polite, kind and nothing was too much for her when we asked to change our order. If everyone had the same courteous manners as she does it would make everyone’s experience so much more enjoyable. Speedy service too. Will definitely be back!

Must be the slowest McDonald’s I’ve ever visited. Been to this one a few times now, always disappointed. Just been served cold chips with no salt on. Very annoying

I ordered a breakfast it was 12 pound just for me and my partner the delivery driver dropped it off went t sit den and eat my partner went how many drinks have I ordered I was like only 2 then I looked there were 6 drinks in there 1 sausage McMuffin 5 hash browns and 1 breakfast roll and 4 fruit bags it come to 16 pound that order I was gutted I am disabled and can’t come out the house they telling me to go down but I can’t I want McDonald’s to accept there mistake and give me a free meal feel sorry for the family who never got there order poor kids must of been hungry

During a shopping visit to the Meteor centre a trip to McDonalds drive-thru was a worthy pit-stop, speedy drive thru process (and it was busy), sat in the car and enjoyed a Double Big Mac, well worth a visit, staff were kept very busy keeping the traffic moving and order processing well done.

Had a delivery this evening for the 2nd time in 2 weeks ( giving the place the benefit of dought) but again part of the order was missing and half of the rest was cold ☹ left cooking some food again at 20.30pm!!!!!!!! Look McDonald's if you need a manager that can actually turn your rating around please feel free to contact me.

I went there just before midnight unsure what to have looked on screens then decided I like the sauce which comes on snack wrap. I asked if able to do the bigger version no problem at all, Had a meal deal. Service is slower than day time but quality of food is alot better worth the wait. Then ordered apple with ice cream yum yum of course had to have a hot chocolate too. The majority of staff over all are very good in general both day and night . Place is very clean can't fault the toilets. Best McDonald's put others to shame

Visited with daughter and my partner on a Friday morning 9am. Expected it to be a lot busier than it was. Place was clean and quiet and a good place to stop off for the usual offerings McDonalds have.Staff were friendly behind the counter and on the floor cleaning and tidying regularly. The car park used to be small but has been expanded to allow driving through to pets at home next door if there's no spaces. Food was fresh and hot and prompt considering items were customised.

5pm l took my granddaughter for a treat last night and what a fiasco, huge wait due to men waiting with big bags taking deliveries. This is not fair to customers standing waiting 25 minutes. There was ample staff working very hard but there needs another system ....or shall we all have takeaways and do away with seating.

I tried a World stack Burger off the menu- INDIAN STACK this consists of A Nan style Bun - chicken some sort of Indian relish and other.. OH WOW, this has to be the tastiest Burger from Mc Donald's I have ever eaten it was so good i went back and got another one. the following week i went again, and tried the Canadian Stack, this was also great. I must add in my review, the BURGERS REALLY DID LOOK LIKE THE IMAGE they were delivered with care, and every time i visited PIPING HOT as you would expect, even at 1 am in the morning what ever the staff are doing, they are doing it CORRECTLY, really friendly staff, quick service and HOT food, that is very presentable. NO ISSUE'S thank you.

As a local to the area I visit probably once a week, I'm always happy with the service when ordering and never have problems with the food, its as it should be. I would like to say though how wonderful Rita and Cath are who work on the lobby, they are genuinely lovely and will do anything to help you, they are an asset to McDonald's and make the visit very welcoming, well done girls!

The McFlurrys are never flurried and the plain orders 9/10 times always come out wrong. The staff are too busy chatting to concentrate on the orders

Thought I’d have a Caesar salad as I hadn’t had one for at least 2 years. Not a fan of McDonald’s!I will totally avoid from now on. My meal was awful. Skimpy salad and definitely not Caesar. No parmesan and given balsamic dressing but worst of all the crispy chicken was squeaky ...didn’t even taste like real chicken and I’m worried it may have been under done as it was luke warm . I should no better hence didn’t eat after first piece. The salad was very skimpy and basic. 2 pieces cucumber and tomato with frilly lettuce which is a nightmare to eat. Wish I’d stuck to my original plan and gone to Morrison’s!

I went to McDonald’s drive thro this morning the guy taking the orders was absolutely awesome, but the girl giving the orders out was rude and with no customer service skills, she needs training. Absolutely rude if I hadn’t of paid I would off just drove off

Been here numerous times before. Staff are lovely and helpful but the service was very slow this time. Had to wait 12 minutes for one burger. When it arrived it was put together very poorly (see pic) and luke warm. Hardly fast food!

After the long queue I was eventually served my food. When eating my chips I picked up a hula hoop which I could have accepted if it wasn’t for the fact it was half eaten.

Stopped off for a quick lunch. Service at the counter was relatively quick and having decided to have table service the food and drinks arrived in good time. The food was hot, well presented and good portions.

Cold coffee, cold burger, burnt chips, coke with no syrup and I had to wait 20 minutes for it.

How hard can it be to include two Big Macs, two fries and two drinks when ordering two Big Mac meals? Just got home only one fries. It’s not the first time, usually check but as not very busy thought even they could get such a simple order right.

I've been using this McDonald's for years as it's in a fantastic location for both Breakfast or heading home late for a business trip. Staff are always very friendly, more so than other McDonald's nearby. They also have the new interactive ordering screens which is great.

Nice restaurant and good service but my burger was very average and tasteless. I wouldn't rule out another visit but was a bit disappointed.

Staff really friendly and polite, managers have good control of the members off staff, George presented us with a warm welcoming when we came to collect our food

Took 15 minutes to get food (we went at 12.45am there was 1 order before us) chips stone cold and clearly cooked at least twice. When leaving gave chips back to then have shift leader George smirking to colleagues when thought we couldn’t see. Worst service and food ever had at any Mac Donald’s! Avoid if you can! There are others nearby go to those instead

We visited here today Tues 20/2/2018 at lunchtime. We were lucky and got the last car park space and the last free table as being half term it was busy. There was a queue for orders but seemed to go very quickly. Food was good and hot. Staff were very friendly. Grandson loved it

Used the drive through the other day, no time to check on way to rugby match Sunday morning. Get on the 53 towards Notttingham, order well wrong, called them up said they would replace the order, not really the point, two double sausage and egg Mc muffins is hardly a complicated order, come on guys get it right, messed my morning up.

Visited store and was informed that they don't accept Scottish notes. the note in question was the new polymer design. Apparently, staff are told that there are forgeries of these polymer notes and that the restaurant is a franchise. This was obviously embarrassing for all concerned and could be avoided through training.

THis used to be my favourite Mac Donald’s in Derby. Last week I purchased food to the value of £12 for my self and my daughter. The food was cold and tasteless. The fries were covered in salt. It was not that busy , but the bins were over flowing,no staff around to query our meal. We left the food and went else where. What a waste of money especially when you are hungry.

We always have a picky order. Plain this burger without this. MacDonalds metor centre always gets it right and we rarely have to wait. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful.

As a regular to this resteraunt,which is situated in a prime position between two leading supermarkets,and very close to main trunk roads,i normally order a quarter pounder and chips which over the last few visits have been luke warm having probably stood on a hot plate.On the last visit i saw the manager,by chance,who immediately thanked me for bringing the matter to his attention and promptly replaced the item piping hot which is what it should be--next visit will be the test but due to the action taken the operation is worthy of a high mark,particularly the manager.

Sólo fuimos para una bebida y una 1 / 4 con queso y tarta de manzana. Tardé 10 minutos en llegar mi pedido. Burger estaba tibia, así como la tarta de manzana. Personal más interesado en drive thru a medida. Limpio y ordenado y relativamente tranquila.

Everytime I go through the drive through at this McDonalds nothing is right when I get home have to go back manager is very good but the staff do not listen to what you order and I have bin 4 times and food was wrong on 3 occasions

Total refurbishment of this McDonald's, interior updated, clean and tidy but oh what have they done to the ordering system. If you do not want to use the ordering points, you queue to order at the till then queue for your number to come up to collect, progress!

I really don't like the new layout and procedure for food ordering.You now have to queue to place your order, (only one till), you're given a ticket and then you queue again waiting for your number to come up on the screen to say your order is ready - just like Argos!We forgot our drinks but decided to go without cos there's no way I was going through all that palarva again!!Also, the computers on the long table - about 5 of them - are distracting to children when they're eating. Parents were getting really cross because their children were playing on them and not eating. Also, there were children getting upset because they couldn't get a go! I can see a lot of arguments and disappointment being caused by them.There's a screen just inside the door where you can order your food, pay by card and it's delivered to your table. I don't know what the wait's like for that service but all as I can say is there's nothing 'FAST' about McDonald's Meteor Centre Derby 'fast' food anymore!!

I think this place gets really crowded at weekends and lunchtimes as expected, and the staff are lovely for sure, but it's ability to deliver is limited due to its capacity issues Victim of its success I suppose but if you compare to the kfc built more recently, I think they have a challenge

Headed back into Derby after blockage on the M1. Looking for an oasis and came across this macdonalds. Ordered and waited with my ticket, lots of shouty staff bellowing out orders in the kitchen, whatever happened to smiley faces!. Waited ages so went to the toilet. What an absolute mess!!!! Paper on floor, no toilet roll in cubicle. This was around 12.30 am so no excuses.Returned ,picked my meal up and binned it!absolutely shocking.

Firstly we tried the drive through as we just wanted to pick up something quick and eat at home. 5 minutes later still no move. Ok let's try parking up and getting our food inside. I stood at the till. Lots of staff saw me but ignored me. It looked like absolute chaos. In the end I walked out

Had a simple big Mac meal, fries were cold so not impressed big Mac ok, I thought every meal should be served the same so should have been hot, this was 2.30 in afternoon so the lunchtime rush was over.This was why the fries were cold as the had been sitting for a while.

All staff were walking around with sour faces barely working even though there was a massive line terrible place... Worth the short drive elsewhere

I wouldn't normally bother writing a review of a McDonalds--normally they are pretty standard but having visited this site twice recently for coffee whilst travelling I have to say it is the slowest service I have ever encountered in a McDonalds. When travelling McDonalds is normally an easy bet for easy parking, clean toilets and good coffee. When I finally got my coffee it was good but on both occasions I couldn't believe just how long they took to serve each and every person at the counter. The food was all prepared they didn't seem to be waiting for anything but everyone moved slowly, had a chat with their mates and there was no logical sequence to them getting orders in the quickest fashion. They got each item individually put it on the counter went back to where they had just been to get the next item etc. There appeared to be a team on the drive through and that was definately the quickest option but nothing like the same support in store. If it had been a one off I would just have dismissed it and not bothered with a review but twice in a few days seemed to show a pattern. Equally if it had been exceptionally busy I appreciate its difficult to deal with demand but that just didn't seem to be the case here! Coffee good, service very slow.

Small but very busy restaurant with drive through and outside seating available. It is the same menu formula whenever you visit a McDonald's.
