Kaspa's in Derby

Non existent customer service. They also don’t have anything you want to order - we tried to order a chocolate sundae, cookie dough, milkshake, chocolate fudge cake and was told they were all not available. This was after paying. The entire party had to then choose alternatives they weren’t entirely keen on because we had already paid. I find it hard to believe they didn’t know before. We also witnessed a staff member being quite unkind to another employee who was taking orders, and seating walk ins, telling him off and telling him to wash plates instead of seating walk ins. When our food did arrive, only 2 out of the 3 items came. We waited 25 mins for a Sundae to arrive, when it didn’t we told the staff who said it was coming. It then took 10mins for this to arrive. It really shouldn’t take 35 mins to put some ice cream in a bowl. Youre better off going to Heavenlys down the road. Don’t waste your time here.

We ordered though Uber eats ordered arrived got sent wrong order rang Kasper guy spoke to he ring Uber eats to sort it out hour later still not heard anything so rang back to he told that Uber eats basically told him to leave it not do anything stuck with order can't eat terrible customers service didn't even ring back like he said he was going to

Nice Ice cream. A must visit when in Derby

This is a clean n friendly place in the heart of town. There are many stupid reviews saying toffee hard etc .if U put toffee on ice it goes hard or chocolate.i found it a good experience and I ordered 4 desserts so I could be honest.Try it it was good... I only say it's good n not great as I go to a place that is outstanding.family friendly .you can pick where U want to sit.

Refused to let us dine in when it was only 21:30 and this place closes at 10:30pm. Even though there we’re already people in the shop and you could see them making desserts and you could order online. Really love a kaspas but will not be coming here again or ordering online. VERY DISAAPOINTED

Food was nice but restaurant stunk foul and the customer service (by who seemed like the manager) was a let down, his attitude stunk. Was left feeling uncomfortable on two occasions, won’t be returning

Amazing place great desserts and great bubble tea would highly recommend was met with welcoming staff shout out to James for being very helpful.

I tried here for the very first time choco waffle and I chose my toppings but I don't recommend people to choose fudge cubs as toppings on their waffle because it was so hard to eat.. It was not that easy to eat I tried to eat the fudge cubes but I couldn't then I removed them from my waffle. So please don't add the "fudge cubes" as toppings. All over my experience in this place was good.

Went to this place for a taste of their ice cream selections. I ordered gelato and an apple crumble. Went to my seat and waited for the order to arrive. To my surprise, I was approached by staff members with a card machine that took my payment without giving me the food. It was really embarrassing, and I felt like a thief in their shop. The gelato was nice and tasty. On the other hand, the apple crumble was microwaved, and I managed to eat it, but it was served with powdered milk ice something, which tasted disgusting. Not a good shop to visit, the staff was rude and disrespectful. Big no, no.

The guy with the long black hair and stripes top was so unnecessarily rude. I don’t know who he was talking to with that attitude, so disgusting. On the other hand the really tall guy was so sweet and friendly.

To top it all off, they failed to include the receipt. This level of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction is infuriating. This place is so nice a lot of variety to pick from, not plenty of gluten free options but still a good place for a cheat day 🤭. Thank you so much James really good and very fast service and my niece loved the choices u gave her ☺️. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be returning x.

Visited the derby branch and Alex was very rude!! Was told I should order for the my desserts within 5 minutes. Very arrogant when ordering.

Absolutely poor service waited about half an hour for two sundaes.wasn’t busy at all there was about 3 customers inside who all got their desserts before us when we had got there before. Absolutely no organisation whatsoever. When asking about the sundaes one of the members of staff was rude and said “it is coming” in an abrupt tone no apology. Then when the desserts came out they got one of them wrong I ate it still because I wasn’t prepared another half hour to replace it. Overall ok ice cream but rude customer service would have been better going to heavenly desserts!!

Sign at front says to wait and someone will come seat us, no one was there to do so. I got chocolate gelato, it was ok. Background music is too loud.

I ordered a waffle online and despite paying £10 with service and delivery fees, they didn’t even send a proper portion of ice-cream with it!!!! I was a regular customer and now I’m really disappointed with their online ordering services! ☹️

Ordered through Uber eats and they forgot most of the items and the price you lay definitely isn’t worth the food you get. Would not order from here again.

Visited Kaspa's and customer service was the poorest. Staff are rude, service is slow. Summer is here, please get more staff and serve your customers. Unless the service changes, I wld not recommend to anyone.

Our order was worth like 50pounds all together , and we waited like 45 mins and when we went to ask where is our food , the people didn’t even start preparing its terrible this hasn’t happened to me before some people become after us and they been put food first then us . The manager should of kept a eye on the staff 🤨

Staff at the counter was rude Throughout the transaction, they maintain a sour attitude and fail to provide any kind of helpful information or recommendations. Despite the poor customer service experience, the food itself is actually quite good.However, the unpleasant encounter at the counter leaves a sour taste in our mouth and makes us question whether we would return to the restaurant again. The most laughably miserable waitress (short brunette ponytail) I’ve ever seen. Like someone asked Siri for the definition of someone who hates life. She about threw the food onto the table and the people.

The drinks were damaged and slurry didn't have straws which made it impossible to drink. Upon calling was told its bot their problem and we should put it in a cup.

Dirty tables & staff that don’t really want to be there not one of them were polite or smiled apart from that the desserts are really good sort it out owners get some decent staff that actually care and take pride in what they do then maybe your ratings would be 4.5+

Impromptu trip for a sweet treat. Banoffie Cookie Dough and Oreo Waffle caught our eye. Both are very nice, although maybe a bit more oreo would have been nice. The staff could have smiled a little more, but It was probably the first day back after Christmas 🎄 Fairly good value for money, clean tables, and quick service.

The food was okay but I saw one of the woman staff chewing gum while making the dessert and it made feel a little bit off.

Terrible customer service. They lost our order some how. If I hadn’t gone up and asked for it we’d been sat there for another hour or more. Thought it be a quick treat for my and my other half Plus the tables where very sticky and place stunk of weed Won’t be rushing back anytime soon

I placed an order to take out a waffle and raspberry ripple flavoured gelato. Upon collecting my order I discovered I had been given raspberry sorbet, which I queried with a rather young female worker who was adamant it it is raspberry ripple gelato when I clearly pointed our the raspberry ripple Gelato is white and pink. What a disappointment and poor customer service from her part she clearly needs retraining and maybe teaching what each flavour of ice cream actually looks like.

Dirty sticky tables, cashier girl was taking to someone while I was standing there for some time and she didn’t care, when she finished her conversation she came to get the order. Most of the place they have closed so they don’t have to clean much. The quality and prices so no match as it is low quality food just decorated and too sweet. These kind of places you go once and never some back.

Driest waffle. Supposed to be £8 and premium but this was so disappointing, dry, ice cream finished with the first few bites then you have a dry biscuit to eat. Horrible

Went in. Stood waiting for table as sign at door instructed. Waited. Made eye contact with multiple members of staff. Ignored. One staff member even looked at us while bringing a dessert to an already seated party. Thought they might show us to table. No. Turned around and went back to counter to chat to other member of staff instead. Left as staff obviously didn’t want us there and went to another dessert place around the corner. Happened to be in the area and thought we would try Kaspas desserts , as we fancied some ice cream . It was our first visit , 2 of us ordered the ltd edt hazelnut waffle which was based on Ferrari rochers and one had 3 scoops of ice cream . There was a very large menu and lots and lots of different ice creams . Waffles , desserts , too . The waffles looked amazing and were very large , the ice cream was delicious , we were warned When we entered that they were short staffed and there may be a wait , we were impressed as you’re not always told there may be a wait . Everything was delicious with husband exclaiming how lovely it was many times (waffle) and we all said we ll definitely return ,

I took some friends for their first visit. After waiting for a while to be seated we asked if we need to find our own table. The girl waved to a near by table before walking off. After a while longer we had to ask for a menu. We chose and paid at the counter. When the food arrived we had to ask for cutlery. It was not a great 1st impression. The ice-cream was not as we expected. Some staff training would not go a miss here.

I absolutely love eating here. It can occasionally be hit and miss with what you ask for depending on who's behind the counter (ie sometimes they don't have the necessary parts to make what you want, or I suspect they can't be bothered) but when they give you what you ask for which you'll get 95% of the time, oh boy, say hello to the most delicious helping of diabetes you've ever experienced. Don't come here if you count calories. You can't count that high.

I went to Kaspa’s with my little brother and was quite disappointed, the crepe I had was rubbery and cold to the point I just didn’t bother to finish it. The service was a bit cold but at least polite and professional, the other things were ok. Just avoid the crepes.

Went in after a year but was quite disappointed with the quality and quantity of chocolate on the Bueno waffle I had to complain but it was dealt with professionally and the staff were very helpful

I don't understand why it's so popular, we ordered a waffle, cookie dough and a 'cheesecake'. The waffle was cold and soft, mushy and soggy, the cookie dough was ok but the portion was pretty small for the price and the so called cheesake was lukewarm and it was not made with cheese but with something that resembled whipped cream. Not worth it!

The cake wasn't good, and the coffee was suffered with a wooden spoons, and in the toilet there wasn't a toliet paper, they should check it more often.

Well me & the other half enjoy eating here most of the time. There’s only been a few occasions where my waffle has been under cooked. But they have sorted it out. The door is a put off.! With its noise. And one member of staff just needs to lose his attitude to the customer as he lets the whole site down. His mannerisms his whole person is just rude. A course In customer service wouldn’t go a miss.

Last time I came and that blimin door just kept annoying us all, and after 2 years that door isn't fixed just keeps screeching evertime someone comes in or goes out, just buy a bell... Cheap owners and such a bad customer service by the confused obnoxious cross dresser!!

Very dirty, the waffles were completed raw. The crepe was think it felt like naan bread. The strawberries were unwashed and looked dirty. When complained they didn't care and they said this is how we do it here. Waste of money and time

really discusted by the food we was given today, firstly the cookie dough was runny like it hasn’t been cooked long enough. it was squishy like butter, secondly it stuck like feet it had an awful smell to the point i was gagging. Really disappointed that i spent £6 for sloppy cookie dough.

Really nice staff!! My little nephew dropped his ice cream about 10 mins after buying it, I went back to buy him a new one and they replaced it for free after asking what had happened.

The foods always nice but the serving time always takes so long. The restrooms really need some staff attention too. So if the staff are reading this, you need to inspect your toilets more often. Take the hint.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bro clean. Helpings are large but the prices were way too high. Would have given 4 stars if prices were lower.

I am so disgusted, just came here for dessert and i will never ever come back we were given glass for water. The glass was so dirty it had lips mark all over it. And my cookie dough had hair in it. I am so disappointed. If i could I wouldn’t even give one star.

Great customer service and desserts

Went today and found a hair in my food after having about 3 mouthfuls, told the staff and then she came back and said it couldn’t be them because it wasn’t their hair colour however they will make me another but will be after every one else’s. I said I didn’t want it and she just walked off and said okay, no one seemed bothered at all and they clearly don’t know how to speak to customers. Wasn’t even nice food anyway

No table service, so you have to order at the counter. We were told an item we wanted wasn’t available as the cakes/puddings that were available were in the fridge, hard to look in the fridge when looking at the menu at the table ! The sundaes were of a good standard albeit slightly small for the cost of them. The table only had two napkins for three of us! No one came and asked if we were happy with the food or if we required anything whilst dining. Also they need to fix the creaky front door. Cherry sundae is very good.

Loved it great service clean toilets and seating area ,may have ordered too much 🤷🏼‍♀️ but was worth it and worth the money too . Just wish they did kids sizes .

Food was disgusting, not Nutella was cheap chocolate. food was cold I mean just came out the fridge cold. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Wouldn't even listen what was being asked/stated. I really wouldnt use the place again. Keep in mind if you are ordering from these people you MUST state you want your desserts HOT as told by the rude gentleman on the phone today 👌

Although the food isn’t all that bad. The service is disgraceful. Went into the store to find only 2 staff working on a busy Saturday afternoon and they were just strolling around not a cafe in the world that we were stood waiting to be served. Didn’t acknowledge us at all to even say “I’ll be with you in a minute” just kept doing what they were doing and after waiting 10mins we’d had enough and walked out. seriously need to up their customer service!

Went there earlier today, partner ordered the cookie dough, no warning the plate was hot, she touched the rim of the plate and her finger was burnt to the point of blister in a few seconds not even a sorry from staff, food was nice but cant recommend because of what happened

Opens at midday on Sundays, walked past windows to find staff dancing in shop, on entry at 12:25, asked (politely) if I could come back in 10mins as they weren’t ready yet

This place is one of the best dessert places I have ever been the desserts were freshly made and really tasty . I had a chocolate waffle and it was so delicious

disappointed with the environment, very loud heavy metal music. Asked a me ever if staff to turn it down which she kindly did, but another staff member decided to put it even louder. Had to ask twice again for it to be turned down. Another family sat next to us also felt the same. Only one staff member was serving us, great service from her but other staff members very rude. Management need to look into this, and provide further customer training to their staff. Can’t complain about the desserts! Just poor staff attitude.

Nice food, a bit expensive. Bit odd we had to specifically ask for spoons to eat a dessert which included cream and ice-cream, as they give out forks, but all in all a good place.

Ordered twice and twice the order has been wrong! Got extra items and missing items, what was meant to be a warm waffle was stone cold. Wont be using again!!!! And to top it off i rang and even offered to pick up a correct order and was told no. What a joke. Never again.

Ice cream.sundaes were fab! Excellent quality of desserts. Kids were happy with their waffle and frappe too. A tad expensive but lovely for a treat.

Amazing puddings great variety can't fault it really

Visited with family and had great service and lovely desserts. The coffee is in small cups but decent size waffles and crepes. The only thing is none of the staff were wearing masks of any description. The flamboyant server was shouting and talking over the food as he took it from the counter. Bit gross.

Went in around 1:30/1:45 with two other people (one being a friend, the other my boyfriend), my boyfriend received harsh looks at the lads that were working. We ordered a sundae, two milkshakes and waffles. My friend had the waffles. Around 45 minutes after having ordered and consumed the food/drinks I began to feel unwell. I was sick to my stomach as if the milkshake would not settle. We were seated for around 40 minutes (enough time for it to digest) and fell off. This also occurred with my boyfriend. After we left we continued as normal and proceeded to stay in town until 3. Me and my boyfriend got home and I felt even worse as did he. I began to throw up a few times and after the milkshake had been thrown up I felt better. My boyfriend on the other had has had extremely explosive diarrhoea for the last few hours and has not shifted. I am sure the milkshakes were the problem as my friend did not try it and I didn’t not eat the sundae. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t like being sick and having diarrhoea. Would not go again

There’s a number of ways this place can improve! Firstly, the waffle had bad looking strawberries, the “melted chocolate sauce” was the cheap kind from a squirty bottle, tastes awful and it was all watery. Not the warm melted chocolate I was anticipating. The toppings on the other dessert tasted cheap and the poorest quality. Secondly, The whipped ice cream that comes in the small pot tasted vile. It left a real bad after taste. Thirdly, The staff had zero customer service. More interested in talking on their head phones. I found this very unprofessional. If you are looking for a place to get desserts in Derby I would spend your money elsewhere, we was all extremely disappointed.

Didn't get full order forgot to give driver rang up to say order missing and there after service was shocking they are not bothered plus its a case of u ring your delivery company to sort out where closing and cant believe i rang up to ask wher rest of my order was as i had got some they would not of bothered there self so all i can say is if order wrong its tough as they been paid give these a miss and order of others

honestly it was vile, for starters our order was wrong, secondly the presentation wasn’t great, i had one fork full and felt physically sick that i couldn’t eat any more. for the prices they charge for the desserts you would have expected them to be 10 times better then what they were. will not be ordering again would rather have not ate then ate the desserts they gave us. So appalling
