McDonald's Restaurants Ltd. in Braintree

Following a busy family night, to get and cook food would have meant too late a night for our son, so opted for a normal family favourite. Drive thru wasn't particularly busy and order to collect was less than 5 minutes. 3 minute drive home and the food was stone cold ❄️❄️❄️, not even slightly warm. Had to reheat it in the Air fryer which for an order of nigh on £27 00 I wasn't impressed, not were my family. Tried ringing the store to complain and not leave a review but just rang through and disconnected every time, hence my displeasure is aired in here.

if i could leave half a star or less i would. i have ordered a delivery twice and on both occasions had to wait over 2 hours to once receive stone cold food that had clearly been waiting around for ages and on the other occasion not received any food at all. we never receive any sauces with our meals when they do by some miracle arrive. Any adjustments we make i.e no pickles etc are never met either and the chips are always stale. the restaurant never answer the phone. staff seem unbothered and rude when complaints have been made in store. please never order from this mcdonald’s again we certainly won’t be and i hope it closes down because it’s so bad and unorganised in the front of house department i hate to think what it’s like behind the kitchen. 0 stars disgusting!!! very unhappy and disappointed.

Not happy with my order as it was wrong i orderd a big mac large fries large hot chocolte which i didnt recive the hot chocolate to be given a bottle of water insead which is not even close to what i had ordered and garlic bread dippers and as i tried on muliple occasions to call the store to get it fixed no reply at all this is my first and last time ordering from yourselves

This place is horrible only because no hot chocolate. Sadly there is no hot chocolate. Give me hot chocolate. Now you evil demons.

I eagerly ordered a small simple meal for my boyfriend and I. Only to wait an hour and a half for stone cold burgers and nuggets and small fries which i just threw away. our mcflurrys were warm and melted and our drinks too were also warm and disgusting. we did not receive any sauces that we had ordered and while i tried to chase up where our food was i attempted to contact the restaurant 6 times by phone calls and received no answer. This is terrible and i will not be ordering from this mcdonald’s again.

Ordered on the app for collection via the drive through, drove down there only to sit waiting at the drive thru kiosk for 5 minutes before anybody even answered me, quite frustrating when I was the only car there. Then just to be told they cannot make my order before they’re doing a “system update” on a Friday night. Happily let you place an order but when you travel down there to pick it up they don’t want to serve you. When I queried how long this system update would take they couldn’t tell me. Clearly making it up on the spot.

Said it was open 24hrs so came on my way home as had no food and it was fully closed. Yet even online said it was open ………………..

I use this McDonalds quite often as it’s the only one near me. Yet I’ve never known a restaurant to consistently balls up an order quite as much as this one. Nearly every time I go here, the staff forget part of an order, give me someone else’s food or give mine to someone the car in front. Today they have me someone else’s order and provided no straws for two milkshakes. It’s not a difficult job. You take an order, read what’s been ordered on the screen and put it in a bag. Yet somehow they always get it wrong. If it’s not the actual order, it’s the rude teenage staff members, who are more interested in their social life, than manners at the drive thru.

Slowest fast food ever. Popped in for breakfast after picking up family from the airport Totally rubbish service staff don’t care how long you wait as 25 minute wait from ordering to being able to collect. Food and drinks barely tepid Needless to say won’t go back to this Macdonald’s and definitely won’t recommend to anyone unless you like long waits and cold food

Ordering through just eat from this place on a Saturday night is a joke !!! My order’s delivery time has currently jumped to an hour later than first stated !!! 😵‍💫 Midnight burgers it is !! 🍔 ⏰ funny thing is that you can’t order after 10pm 😂😂😂😂

So this was macdonalds braintree ordered 2 adult meals 1 kids meal, on opening the adult chips had nothing in the box infacr there was more in the kids meal, so sick of this branch now, don't ever orderinline for delivery 5 order mess ups in 2023, one I never got refunded for, collection be repaired to wait and when your given your meal pull up where safe to do so and check your bag of food is correct there's nothing like a busy dsy grabbing a quick meal on way home, nope I'd rather cook at home now, food doesn't look apertizing no more it's Al just chucked together, staff font have a clue, you woukd have thought that staff would have train for thease sorts off issues, macdonalds sort yourself out your a disgrace to the food industry!! You need to train your staff properly check orders before hading over, I also think you need a visit from trading standards and health and safety

I have been here like 10,000 times and every time it's mostly great. For breakfast I always get a sausage and egg McMuffin with 1-2 hash browns and a hot chocolate. In my opinion it's my favorite restaurant in the world. Thanks Joni

Ordered online for delivery, took over 90 minutes to arrive. It did and was cold! Went on the app to complain and it says call uber eats. I'm not complaining about the delivery, more the quality or lack of of the food. Large fries were more like a small and they are sealed before the driver gets them! Joke of a place

Unprofessional and unable to serve any food. I was told to wait 5 kinuts and I came back after 10. I was then told to wait another 5 minutes and when I asked why. The manager was unable to give me an answer. And walked away. Disgusting management and bad communication. I never got my food. I can not ally rely on McDonald's for late night food as I work nights but not the Braintree one. Disgrace, me and my partner went hungry for the night even though the website and the drive through said it was open. No excuse and I am horrified by the company!! Will never come back to this one again!

Ordered off the app. Got half our breakfast. The bit we did get might aswell if hammered a nail into the wall was that hard. Called McDonald’s they told us to call Uber (even though ORDERED THROUGH THEIR APP) to then get a foreign woman who asked for our number but yet rudely interrupted. To the reel off some bible speech in regards to our meal. Refunded us but didn’t apologise. Left with no food and breakfast had finished. Crap food. Crap service. Real shame.

We can see ur review meeting happening, the reviews here aren’t reflective of the maccies. We come here most sunday nights as our treat sit in, the staff are lovely and the food is up to normal maccies standards. People aren’t going to write nice reviews about a place unless they are prompted, it’s very nice here🫶🏻

This has to be the worse McDonalds on the planet !!! I placed my order at 23.30 and after parking up to wait for my food I watched all the cars that arrived after me get their food and go🤬 I ordered 2 cheese burgers 2 fries and 6 chicken nuggets, a simple order yet at 11:55 my food arrived. I complained to the school leaver who bought me the food about my wait to which I was told that food was cooked to order !!! 😂😂😂Seriously after every car that arrived after me had left, he just mumbled something and must have gone to tell Ronald McDonald that I was not happy. This place is a prime example of paying peanuts getting monkeys, although that’s s disservice to monkeys as they would be more intelligent working in a McDonald’s If I was the franchise and looking at all these bad comments then I would be reacting on it , the problem is that it’s McDonald’s and they have no customer service as they don’t care if you come back again !! Typical chain mentality.

Ordered Plant burger. Food contaminated with a synthetic nylon type fibre. Burger was replaced however, several staff chewing gum, including the woman that replaced my burger which is really rude and looked awful. Staff handling food with bare hands, (they are normally on a timer to wash hands every 15 minutes). No tongs used to pick up food, only bare fingers. Staff spotted handing food and carrying bottled water in back trouser pocket. Staff wiping bare hands on their protective uniform. I will not be returning!

Normally I don’t write reviews for mega fast food chains but oh my god this was shocking. What a terrible McDonald’s. Went through the Drive-Thru at 1PM on a Wednesday, not particularly busy, and ordered a Triple cheeseburger and a single cheesburger. Never knew an order could take so long. Went through the drive through and paid quickly, and told to park up somewhere in the car park when we got to the collection window. When we tried to find a space, there were none with people driving anywhere trying to find one and going the wrong way round the car park. (Not their fault, how the car park is designed) There were so many people waiting for their food as we patiently waited while others were parking anywhere. Food took 10 minutes or more to arrive (I had lost count at that point) as more and more people flooded through. Who knew trying to get a cheeseburger could be so tough. Avoid at all costs!

Every car pulling up to the window was being asked to park up, no spaces to pull in at the waiting area so people were parking all over the place. At no point when ordering did they say they had recorded people's number plates with the orders so they knew where to deliver the food so I had to keep watching the lady walking around with bags incase it was our order. During this time about 20 online orders (just eat/deliveroo) had came in and out with bags, so clearly macdonalds are treating this orders as priority and were seeing to these orders first and making normal customers wait. After all this hassle I wish I had checked my order before driving off, as it was missing 2 items, but by this point I couldn't be bothered to go back and complain/get a refund. So I won't ever be going back again. They need to seriously review their service

Came here at 10:30pm on a Sunday not too busy…… Ordered 2 small easy items Double Cheeseburger and Halloumi Fries, both of which were terribly handled. Was first handed the wrong order, that’s fine was sorted in seconds, but the food……. Cheeseburger was cold and Halloumi fries weren’t sent with any dip Terrible service late at night

Went to this McDonald’s and I was shocked by the swearing coming from the manager (white shirt) From behind the counter at her staff, clearly in earshot of customers (I was standing quite far back waiting for my order and it’s a small restaurant) She was saying the most awful things to her staff, belittling them and just being so rude Doing that in private is bad enough but in front of other staff and customers is disgusting

I got cold fries, i got diet coke instead of normal coke, my ketchup is lumpy and the toilet was clogged. Do not go to this mcdonalds. Only positive is that i got 6 free nuggets.
