Everything was cold. We was the first people in there. Stood there for 25 minutes while the female manager who was supposed to be sorting our order was chatting away with someone in the drive through, terrible McDonald's

Ran by total mongs. Not a clue how to run a restaurant. Potentially the worst in the UK

It's OK for a quick bite, but when did McDonald's get expensive. Restaurant was busy, food was slow and nearly cold and the building not so clean. I think I'll try give it a miss if I have a choice.

We waited 30 minutes to get served and we didn't we had to go thr the next window to tell them and they denied it all

the food is good when they actually get your order right. It’s meant to be fast food but you will be waiting ages to get your meal because of busy the place always seems to be.

Can't fault the staff though so still 5 stars!

We live locally and this is well known as one of the worst McDonald’s around. The food is often cold. Twice the bread on the burgers has been stale (one time it had mould and we complained). Large fries always half a carton. And inside is ALWAYS filthy, cold, and the bins over flowing. We’ve had enough of coming here and will go elsewhere. Shame, as it’s close. I don’t understand how a McDonald’s can be so consistently bad. 0/10. Desperately needs new ownership/management.

Rubbish always got to wait . No Faust food available here.

I had ordered a single terrys chocolate orange pie for collection on the app and I had to wait over 15 minutes. Atleast the person serving me was nice

Food was ok although the filet o fish was tiny!!. Staff looked like they hadn't slept for a week,no go whatsoever. The milkshake was a really thick ice-cream that by time it had defrosted looked like curds and whey..awful!!

Looks at the state of it ? Looks like a rat has been noshing on the bread bun ! 15 minutes wait for it, too. McDonald's really is skanky. Vile.

It's McDonald's only used car park and went to Morrisons

Broken ordering speakers meant incredibly slow. Badly run

My wife who is diabetic ordered a chicken salad., drive through. She received a crispy chicken salad. She could not eat the chicken as the bread crumbs would be her daily allowance of carbs. The salad looked poor and had no dressing.

I don't go to McDonald's and never will

Called yesterday 17/11/24 on way to leeds we often call when going to west Yorkshire as a stop off and a break not the cleanest of places the bins were overflowing and rubbish on floor just ordered a coffee it took ages the toilets weren't to bad but when I go there I notice a lot of people take orders back because they are wrong they are very slow needs a good shake up come on McDonald's see to it

Good food for McDonald's and quick service. Friendly staff and very clean and well maintained. Wireless charger on the table too.

Twice I’ve been to this McDonald’s and twice now it’s been terrible, burger looked like it had been slapped together by a blind man. Chips weee cold and stale and they made my friend wait 20 minutes for a cheeseburger and fries. Shocking

Was very busy, but service was fast and food was hot, correct, which was an amazing experience 😀. Clean tables, no litter, so actually very good end to a busy driving day for me.

App constantly failed to complete. Paying directly order failed to show on screen. Eventually paid but had to also pay for a reward ordered as no longer on app, then had to wait for order to be completed, all through drive through, a complete nightmare

Called in for coffee on our way home, very busy but the staff polite and nice, my coffee was just over like warm, I wished I had tasted it before setting off, dissatisfied

My experience at this McDonald’s was very nice the food was nice and the service was relatively fast

20 minutes at the drive through before getting to the pay window! Never had such poor service at a drive through McDonald's. It wasn't that there was a huge queue of cars either. It became thar way obviously in the 25 minutes we waited for food.

Looking great after the refurbishment. Table service is a nice touch too. Much better experience than queueing out the door like before.

Clean and tidy, nice service and it's right off the A64.

Lately, it seems like portions are getting smaller and the expenses are getting bigger. I'd rather spend the money to go to a restaurant for dinner.

Crap.....every time is disappointing. Either cold food or missing food or not made well...GO TO BURGER KING INSTEAD !!!

I’m not usually a McDonald’s fan and go with low expectations. I was very surprised with my visit. Staff were polite and helpful, it was clean (even with being busy), food was hot and fresh, all my order was correct and didn’t even have to wait for a long time like I normally do at a McDonalds. If other McDonalds could take some training and direction from this branch it would be great. Well done to all the staff at this McDonalds - you’ve made me realise that there are still some good McDonalds out there.

Don't bother eating in restaurant - waited 15 mins for food to arrive as they prioritise drive through and simply forget about customers inside

Not a great Maccys at all. The drive thru is always heaving - I tend to use the deliver to car option after ordering on the app but this is often very slow, I actually had to go in and ask for my order. Car park is often strewn with litter and have previously seen rats in the car park.

Decided to grab a bite to eat after a long journey at around 9pm on Saturday night. The place wasn't busy and there was only a short queue at the drive through. I could see they had a mountain of chips already made and sat under the heat lamps. My order took around 15 minutes. The orders were coming out so slowly, and none of the staff seemed to be in a rush. The food was the most disappointing food I've ever had from a McDonalds in the UK. The chips were cold and were like cardboard. They had obviously been fried at least a few hours earlier. The mozzarella dippers were cold, and the cheese inside had hardened. The quarter pounder burger to my delight was hot, but was so incredibly salty. It tasted like it had been salted three times, it was absolutely disgusting. I don't think I would ever consider returning to this branch after this visit.

The staff are always polite and friendly and always get the order right.

I found it disgusting that Butterfield work men were walking in and out of the kitchen area with dirty work clothes on where food was being prepared

Always seems to be understaffed here, service is super slow whether you go in or use the drive through.

It's a McDonald's. You get what you expect and what you pay for.

The food was lush and the big mac sauce was above my expectations. The cheese melted onto my tongue like a jigsaw puzzle falling into place. Just splendid! Simply delicious! However, as always, every McDonald's has its flaws and in this case I was left crying and shaking at the state of the restaurant. You could see the distain on my face when I saw a McDonalds baby chair staring at me and smiling menacingly with its deep fried lips. To my upmost delight, the servers at this establishment almost brought me to tears with their amazing help and love and care and just overall positive wellbeing!! God Bless This Mcdonalds!!

Hot food, lovely staff! After a horrendous experience at a McDonald’s in Manchester a few months ago which almost put us off for life this was such a lovely reminder at how much we love McDonald’s - comfort food!

Slowest and dirtiest McDonald's you could find. Just full of people waiting far too long for their incorrect order.

The only macdonalds that charge for tube of simple ketchup. Staff are very rude 😒

Waited 25 minutes in the drive thru. Staff member hardly spoke to us and walked off at window 1. Had to then wait 5 minutes at next window (collection window), a total of a 30 minute drive thru experience and the only thing we got was “sorry for your wait?! Food was cold too!!!

Breakfast- double sausage and egg mcmuffin meal. Was early morning but seemed dry, as if it had been sat around a while. Muffin was also all broken up in wrapper.

Just called in picked our food paid and then sat and ate. it was wonderful

My friend and I went to the drive in and asked for nuggets and they said they don’t have any then proceeded to ask for a chicken burger or a cheese burger and they yet again had none. The outrage!!! How can you run out of any of theses things I have never been to a McDonald’s were they run out I’m disappointed this has never happened before until now!!

Do not use first thing on a morning as a walk in, slow AF. Can wait up to half an hour for your food.

It's a McDs with all the usual offerings. It was very busy so was pleasantly surprised when our food was delivered so quickly.

Fries were soggy and inedible, burger cold and instead of garlic bread dippers we've been served chicken nuggets. One of the worst McDonald's I've been to, if not the worst.

Two lattes, one egg McMuffin and a bacon and egg one, we got the two muffins but one latte and a toffee latte! Just after this the power went off!

Coffee here is superior. Check its hot before you leave and they will fix if not hot enough- no trouble.

Chips cold burger cold staff didn't care one bit place a dump and the toilets where the worst look like never been clean

Not what you expect of a McDonald's- both inside and out were strewn with rubbish, the tables were covered with discarded food and wrappings. But the food quality was as expected and he service good. This needs a good shakeup as we have found it like this on our last three visits

We don't regularly visit McDonald's but this seems to be the one we have visited the most recently and it has been not a great experience. We have ordered meals with bacon just to find it missing bacon, cheese less burgers, small amount of chips compared to normal.

The state of the restaurant inside and outside is not what you expect from McDonald's Food and service however are more like you expect, thankfully.

Absolutely disgusting mess on all tables and floors

The filthiest McDonald’s I’ve ever been in, bins overflowing with rubbish all being piled on top, every single table covered in food, not been wiped for hours. Sauce pots literally chucked all over the sides, none of the sauce machines working. Staff look at you confused when you actually ask for your table to be wiped. Appalling.

I understand that the job listings to work here don’t ask for much with regards to intelligence or basic reading comprehension. But surely serving customers food items that have labels on them stating that they needed to be discarded 8 hours beforehand isn’t what you’re supposed to be doing? Tasted manky as expected.

Very clean but very busy! Run out of ice and the other day, the ice cream machine had to be turned off because it had overheated!… on hot days like these, it’s unavoidable but the kids weren’t happy!

BE AWARE. I'm stopping to this restaurant almost daily to grab a coffee on my way to work, the ANPR cameras got my arrival time on 25th and the leaving on 26th, I have been fined £100 for the reason that I've been parked for 22 hours, this is ridiculous because this restaurant is on the motorway in the middle of nowhere

This is a nice and convenient, tucked away, perfect little stop. Pleasant staff and good affordable fayre. Away from the maddening crowd and off the beaten track. I find it ideal.

Probably some of the worst experiences i’ve ever had at a maccies. Always untidy and toilets gross, especially on nights. Food isn’t good either, it’s either wrong, cold or just inedible really i don’t know how they manage it ~ really needs improving here since it’s next to such a busy road.

Gross … dirty restaurant with over flowing bins, rubbish everywhere, dirty tables. Food was disappointing too, chips so over cooked they were hollow, burgers over cooked and dry. Would rather go hungry!

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. It was unkempt, the toilets were a disgrace, the screen for ordering didn't work and I had to wait ages for my order. They need to do better here.

Who doesn’t put jam on a toasted jam muffin the thick idiots. Waiting over 40 minutes for an order in total. Staff are zombies, they need a good lesson in smiling and customer service.

When i opened the box you could see the burger was thrown together. Not great to be honest

After midnight when store start serving after a new till update shutdown regime(, my local srore at Wombwell close app 40 mins for this!!) Only 2 staff on for some reason resulting in a long wait but to their credit they apologised for wait battled on and got people served, Well done them!!

Very nice Spicy Mcchicken burger. And of course best fries ever. Decent kids meals.

Service is to slow and tables are dirty

I’ve never been in a McDonald’s so filthy. I found a bottle of cleaning fluid and cleaned my own table with serviettes before we ate. Tables were all full of rubbish because every bin was over flowing. The floors were disgusting! Food was poorly put together and portions of chips were small. My 3 year old was given a doughnut that was frozen. When I complained the manager told me she could have a fresh one but they were all frozen as they’d just come out of the freezer!

Sign says open 24 hrs but was closed when I turned up. Visited later the next day and the slowest service despite there being just two cars in the drive through queue

What has happened to McDonald's, i worked for them years ago and the service was quick and the food was always hot. Now its gone down hill, food always comes out cold and you wait ages. Its a shame

Much the same as every other McDonald's but it was clean and modern and the food okay.

One of the worst stores of McDonald’s in the country I travel a lot for work and this place is lame Second visit and won’t be a Third The food is never hot especially the fries and the burgers are thrown together zero pride by kitchen team and burger patties BURNT also the quality of the cold fries are shown in my picture and very small portions for a large and staff are hiding out back It’s not very busy here so I don’t get why it’s so hard to get things right

Restaurant was quiet but the service and food was atrocious. Waited for our breakfast for 10 mins, order was wrong, went back given something else and was wrong again. Then we opened the food! Inedible sausage muffin and tepid hash brown. Lady who changed the muffin said I think that's as good as you're going to get!

Called in at 6.15 this morning, food over cooked, cold and tasted of dirty oil. Totally inedible. Toilets dirty, as well as the outside being strewn with litter from over flowing bins. Swerve this one in future🤮

Double sausage egg muffin discusting on how much grees was dripping out of it didn't eat all of it put it in bin.

Filthy, every table dirty, took almost half an hour to bring food (table service) after we asked, no toys in happy meals and got order wrong (missing Big Mac) resolved when asked for with no acknowledgment/apology. Luckily don’t live here so will never be back!
