Mcdonalds Restaurants in Hastings

Ordered online and yet again missing and wrong items sent, how difficult is it to check food going into a bag? Spent 20 minutes on the phone to eventually get a refund for the missing items. Get your act together!!

Do not get delivery from McDonald’s Hastings, every time they miss something off the order (normally the most expensive item, very suspicious) and you can’t get a refund, even if Uber say you will, McDonald’s don’t process it. Food is always cold by the time it’s delivered and they don’t follow the instructions in the order. Literally the worst experience from a takeaway, they don’t deserve the orders!

Had large big Mac and fries. Cold and unusual tasting, now lying in bed with guts squirming pain. I was fine all day before eating that trash. Big regret going back to that dirty badlyrun place...

My friend brought a wrap from McDonald’s today and she ate half of it before she realised it wasn’t cooked properly so she couldn’t eat all her meal

I got 2 cheeseburgers but they cant even use there braincells to put the cheese in the middle of the burger instead they put it on the literal edge of it and basically laying in the packaging. I asked for a cheese not a patty burger. Disgraceful

Went to MacDonalds in Hastings today 14 August 2023. Ordered various meals for my family. For myself I ordered a burger in a bun with NOTHING on it. When they employ people in MacDonalds is it part to them being employed that they don’t have a brain. When I got home nearly an hour later, after getting through the roadworks, I found that they had given me a cheeseburger. What bit of NOTHING DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND!!!!!! WHAT IDIOTS

I ordered food with the Uber eats app today. And there was items missing so now one of my kids didn’t have there meal. The food that did arrive was cold. Why should my kid have to go without the food that’s I have payed for. I’m sick of tired with the amount of issues I have with this McDonald’s. Why can’t they just get orders right?

Great experience, Daniel who was greeting and cleaning upstairs was so polite and welcoming, and told us about some local attractions and events happening this weekend including the world's oldest Bus!

I actually had a meal delivered to my home, 8th June in the evening. Normally they are just about edible but this time they surpassed them selves. The meal was stone cold, the chips like cardboard and the burger and other contents, with no sauce, absolutely tasteless and again like cardboard. £16 pound including delivery. Even the seagulls threw it back. Pure Excreta. Need to put loo roll in with the meal. Verdict - inedible crap.

What on earth has happened to McDonalds. It certainly is NOT like it used to be. We don’t go there very often, but in the past it has always been nice, if you needed a quick meal. But now the decor is dull. They have put in all these self service order machines. No customer service. No Mc Cafe. Some of the food items were out of stock. The wait time for food was long. And when we finally got it, the food was cold. The place is run by young people, never saw an adult, and no one was giving any direction to the staff. They were all too busy talking and been silly out the back. Absolutely NO customer service. Will never go back.

I ordered online today for my family,and I was very disappointed that our food came cold. I was also disappointed that my order came with no dips which I had asked for. The dip is the best part for my family so next time I would like to have dips with my meal

I have both visited the store and ordered delivery, and in both instances the food is always cold. Missed condiments, incorrect drinks, incomplete burgers (missing gherkins etc.) seems the order of the day. Visiting reveals many delivery orders sitting on top of the fryers for over 20 minutes before being collected. Staff in branch are indifferent, inattentive and spend more time talking amongst themselves than serving customers. Tables and floors are dirty. If I owned the franchise I certainly wouldn't tell anyone. Such a shame as it used to be much better. Considering Hastings is a tourist coastal town, visitors must wonder why the standard is so poor. This is by far the worst I have ever visited - I travel all over the world and a McD is usually a quick fix when time is limited (except in Hastings that is). If the franchisee does read this, I suggest you order a delivery and form your own opinion.

Asides from food couriers the restaurant was not busy at 9am on a summer weekday. Whilst the “chefs” were not busy our food was just slapped together (resulting in tomato sauce all over the bun). Many breakfast items was not available, so we did not have the meal we wanted. When eating a staff member did wish us a “McHappy Day” (which was nice) and got us some replacement straws (as the paper ones we had, had disintegrated). However, neither of us really enjoyed our meal. I have had breakfast at this branch several times before and not been disappointed, but that was several years ago. If it was not for the friendly member of staff I would have given a “terrible” rating.

I have worked in McDonalds myself and I know that no one is perfect, and sometimes people make mistakes. BUT every time me and my flat mates get a delivery, it is always on time... which is the only good thing. Since being in lockdown...

I waited for 15 minutes in the shop for a burger and chips, I stood there for 15 minutes and the manager didn’t even acknowledge me. It’s unacceptable that people who order online aka can’t be bothered to leave their house, get priority over people that walk into the shop. In the end it was a young male employee that eventually sorted out my order, if it wasn’t for him I’d still be standing there. It’s not even like it was because they had to cook my order from scratch as when I did finally get my burger and chips they were tepid at best. I’ll not be going in there again, next time I’ll find an independent food shop that actually cares about customer service.

I got a uber delivery from Hastings Wellington place this evening. The new double big mac was soggy on the bottom, cold and had no gherkins in it. Very sloppy presentation in the box. The mozzarella cheese bites were hard and had no cheese inside, chips were stone cold. Coke had no ice and was only two thirds full. The order was in sealed bags. I think this will bethe last time I ever eat McDonald's again tbh. Not enjoyable at all

I went to drive thur in at Leonards-On-Sea on 2 nd November order a bacon roll meal with thomato sauce when I got to work it was a egg bacon muffin so if end up in the bin as for 1 I don’t like muffin and 2 am not aloud to eat eggs and because I had to start work I couldn’t take it back if not the 2st time my order been wrong but it is the 1st time I complained so am not very happy

I visited a mcdonalds and they made my orders wrong which is fine we are all humans but the fact that they didn’t even apologised for this and they opened my burger without any gloves even the girl who was in front of house touching everything makes me feel that you absolutely don’t care about safety and health. Not only that but when i went home i had a terrible stomachache.

Took kids in today, not able to sit in, not able to use the toilet, food took ages and almost cold, won't be using again. On the plus side the young boy at the door was very nice so well done you for getting the One Star.

First if all advertising eat out to help out. Queue fir 15 minutes to find they are full. Need to change advett outside. Got to place an order self service crashed no assistance so had to leave empty handed. Utter rubbish will not use again. Disgusting service avoid.

Second delivery where my food is soggy, I paid for large portions and received small drinks and half a box of chips. My burgers were squared and barely together, delivery drivers were rude again! Food took way longer than was meant to be expected. I feel as though your staff are not taking pride in their work, and don’t really care about the problems when they are taken to you. Very shocked with this McDonald’s. Twice in two weeks this has happened.

Always quick and friendly service. The staff are always working hard and have a smile on there faces. The food is always so nice.

As the title says worst restaurant ever I should know I work there, absolutely disgusting environment to work in let alone eat in, black mold in the dive area that's where all kitchen and till area equipment that touches food is supposed to be cleaned and sanitized but most of the time is just rinsed with cold water and left with grease and food waist still on them, expired food left in the chiller and freezers and quite often served to the customers, chemical residue not properly cleaned off the grills at the end of the day so next day your food is coming in contact with said chemicals fry cleaner salt powder (chemicals) used to clean deep fat fryers not cleaned out of the fryers properly, staff very rarely wash their hands before touching food and preparation surfaces that includes after going to the toilet and cleaning customer toilets and after changing rubbish bags, bugs flying around the kitchen, greasy and dirty mops used to "clean" the floors, used needles and blood often found in toilets especially disabled toilets and not disposed of safely, staff deliberately told to give customers cold food and food off of the floor to save the company money, staff especially manager's are disrespectful to customers and even each other including homophobic and racist they talk horrendously about customers to each other, managers show favouritism to lazy staff and friends and family making it difficult for hard working staff to gain praise or promotion.

I received my egg and sausage bagel at first without egg... sent it back the man came back with the tiniest egg certainly not looking like on the pictures. This is a rip off and disappointing

They really don't know what they're doing here. Staff were disrespectful/rude and didn't seem to be doing a great deal. Staff on dining area walking around doing pretty much nothing. Food was cold and gave me bad stomach pain. The dining area was filthy on both floors, bins overflowing, leftover food on pretty much all the tables, the floor was disgusting and there were flies flying around all over the place. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Never write reviews but I had to say on a walk to the old town on a lovely hot evening decided to have a burger in McDonald’s well ! Not sure of their policies these days but the whole upstairs restaurant was full of 14 + year olds doing nothing but dossing and playing their own music on a mini speaker!! I worked in the first McDonald’s over here in woolwich powis st in 1976 and this was never accepted! Get your act together!!!!!

Thursday afternoon in half term and the place was packed, but the staff were all great especially Jake. He couldn't have been more helpful from getting me extra milk, then straws to being so kind to the visually impaired lady who accidentally knocked over her coffee. ❤ Oh and the food was good too! Who knew McDonald's would be good at salad ❤

Come here once a week for my lunch break, lovely as usual. Great food and service, for what you pay it is worth it. Staff are always friendly and take the time to talk to me as I am a ‘regular’. Credit to the brand.

visited here last night...they put my order together...then dealt with another order whilst mine was on the side for 4 minutes...then the manager reopened the bag to look inside...asked who's it was to staff...then the staff member looked inside...pointed to the screen...sealed the bag back up...carried on with someone's else's order...gave them theirs them went back,got mine and gave to me...end result= COLD FOOD.

Visited with elderly relatives to buy four ice creams. Young customer service chap spotted that we were not familiar with computer ordering and came to our rescue. A bit busy which is to be expected in holiday season but the ice creams were good quality and top value.

I'm old enough to have seen this company grow in the UK. Seen tons of mcdees all over but today this venue was lacking everything. This venue needs sorting asap. Staff need training. Moral level is clearly very low. The only positive I'd say was the young lady who served me was friendly and smiled. Everyone else was in a Diffrent place. Food was super poor. Cold. Looked unloved. And just not on par. Shame. However I'm sure this was a just a bad day or new staff. Be nice to hear that it was just a one off bad day?? please support all local businesses as it keep our towns alive

This is a faster serving McDonald's than the other one in Hastings or the one in Bexhill even though this one uses the automated machines as well which are still impersonal in my opinion but work for this location.

This is a good McDonald's restaurant although as most of them it is always busy so you have to queue to get your food but quicker now with the electronic automation

If you're looking for a fast food store McDonald is the place to go. It can get busy at times though.

Went in and used the screens to order food. Which made it quicker and easier to get food. The screens are card only but are easy to use and understand. The food was hot and tasty, and not too expensive. The restaurant was clean and I saw various staff wandering cleaning the toilets and tables through out the time I was there. As we went in the evening it was not too busy but in the lunch rush, it can be packed and sometimes there's no where to sit.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the word "McDonald's".I was sooooooo excited.You see I'm Scottish and I love everything about Scotland.Especially upmarket Scottish restaurants.This place is perfect.It's clean and it has table-cloths and you even get a knife and fork...each.No more sharing.I entered with a big smile on my face cos I couldn't believe my luck.The menu was extensive but not expensive.I ordered a McSporran burger and Scottish fries.2 minutes later it arrived on a tartan paper plate.The burger was perfect.There's nothing quite as nice as incinerated cow.The fries were lovely and crispy but there weren't many of them.Go to McDonald's if you're after a genuine Scottish experience.You'll love it...

Never come to this place to eat but my daughter wanted to get a milk shake so popped in whilst in town. It was full of youths using the place as a meeting / hangout point and the ammount of people sitting down at tables without food or drink was unbelievable.

Went to McDs for a burger. Not tables clean and staff lazy. Said "we don't have enough foyer staff to clean tables" meanwhile they were all standing around (7staff). Disgusting, and pathetic. I threw my burger out.

I'm local and work a few doors down from this resturant.Since they installed the self service it's horrible. If i want a cup of tea I order it then can wait over 5 mins to get it, when I can see it sitting there getting cold. They often give out vouchers to locals for cheap deals, there a good reason, some locals avoid it. In tourist season the queues are horrendous and often even in winter you can wait long time for food.The staff don't clean the tables and they are often rude and since the self service so noisy as they shout to one another to get the orders out.This is a franchise and its not up to standard, but whilst they still rake the money in will it change?

By far the most disgustingly awful branch in the UK. I have yet to pop in out of desperation and not see angry customers returning food. Today I asked for a filet o fish with extras. I received an old burger with a bit of pickle shoved on top. When I asked for a fresh one to be cooked granted it was however the member of staff that gave it to me glared and walked away with attitude. The counter top where you receive your order was absolutely filthy and the muffin holder had a thick coating of dust on the top. Please do something about this toilet! Thankfully I live closer to the one near Sainsbury's which is a credit to the chain.

They have the new self service system which I really like but the staff seem to be struggling to get to grips with the new process which takes a long time, I saw a few people returning items which were incorrect which wouldn't have helped. We all had a breakfast wrap which was a bit of a mess, with vast amounts of terrible tasting ketchup ruining the wrap.I visit the golden arches a couple of times a month but this is the worst I've been in for a long time.

This is the filthiest McDonald's I have been in and refuse to use it now, more food on the floor and seating than you can imagine. Food cold and soggy. No excuse.

Went into McDonalds on Weds eve , no other customers queuing , stood in front of girl on till who did not acknowledge me or my partner just continued to chat with other staff ! I think this is the worst Mcdonald's I've ever been in. Ok, they never blow your mind but normally you get edible food, fairly quickly. Here, they have a system where you order, then wait for your food after being given a ticket. This works in practise, but here the staff just don't seem to understand how to make it work. For everything I've ever ordered here I've had to wait far longer than normal. Perhaps it's because there's no queue at the till where you order, so there's no sense of urgency? No idea, but the idea doesn't work here. Their ineptitude would be funny if I wasn't so hungry (hungry/angry) whenever I find myself in there. Also, I've been ignored, overcharged, undercharged, and given the wrong change before. If I'm scraping the barrel for nice things to say, then there's a good amount of seating upstairs and relatively modern decor, neither of which matter as I've decided to not use it again (not a decision I've taken lightly as I'm a sucker for a big mac, even the school science projects they sell here)

This is great mcds compared to some don't understand the bad reviews, small queues latest decor and self service avaliable, it's only down is it was a little dirty but as there was so many people ordering (which they coped with well) I guess that's why

My mum has been seriously ill after eating here bank holiday sunday after moving here the Thursday before. She had to go to hospital so I will be reporting this disgusting place to food standards agency. Avoid at all costs.

I was amazed at the change in this restaurant. Gone are the long queues. You now order and pay at one counter and you are given a number. You collect your food when your number is called which in my case was only a very short wait. A smiling assistant presented with my food which was a lot hotter than the average fast food meal. The restaurant was very busy but the staff worked very hard keeping the tables clean. Recycling is now in place and customers are encouraged to put their rubbish in the appropriate bins which must be a first!

I like McDonalds. I like Burger King. It's not a hard concept to get right; most branches manage it. This place, however, is a tip. Cold burgers, cold fries, and choc full of chavs with their feet on the table. Sums up Hastings really.

Having ordered at 10.25, i was then ignored by the server while she served several people after me, she also suggested to other customers to take a seat and she'd bring them over..... which she did whilst still ignoring me while i waited. upon seeing me again she then asked me if she could help?Bearing in mind i hadn't moved from the till for 10 mins, she'd totally forgotten me and my order! By this point it was past 10.35 am and my order couldn't be done (breakfast). i demanded a refund to which to only gave me part of it....She's was beyond useless and had to call the manager to help! I appreciate you don't need a degree to work in McDonald's but some common sense has to be a prerequisite! i also appreciate how hard these guys work but for gods sake don't just employ anyone with a pulse.( its questionable she even had that) your team have let you down!

This place needs shutting down, avoid at all costs. There was food all over the floor, some of it growing mould so you knew this place was never swept properly. Every table was a mess despite queuing for 25 minutes and seeing no one sitting in most seats. The queue was unbelievable, so slow as staff regularly got the wrong order. In the end we were told to sit down and our order would be over. 30 minutes later the drinks arrived which were all flat as the gas had gone so they had to be replaced. Then 10 minutes later the food arrived stone cold, this again had to be replaced with another wait of 15 minutes only for it to be just as bad. We just got up and left our food, manager tried to help but you could tell this was just another day, another complaint for her.

Dirty, too busy, understaffed, low work moral and staff obviously annoyed and upset. Odd smells, inadequate seating and access to toilets. - Not good!

This is a good McDonald's Restuarant with quick service , good staff and plenty of seating although very busy at times seeing it is in a busy town centre location.Food is as expected from the chain and fast food style eating as a whole.

Today, was one of the best days of my life, why? Because I ate at one of the most amazing restaurants I have ever been too.It has a very catchy name, McDonald's, they called it and it really was quite an extraordinary experience.I stepped into the rather greasy yet charming dining hall and was greeted by a slightly primitive spotty, teenage boy. "Welcome to McDonald's" he said, I felt as if I was at home at last.I sat down, and noticed there were no menus on the table, I waited patiently for about an hour and a half however a new concept has arisen in these restaurants, one must go to the till to order.This was of course a mistake of my own and did not hinder my time here.I ordered what they call a "big mac" this is a burger. I ordered it on the "meal deal" and also purchased a lemonade and some chips.I felt very special, they had wrapped my pabulum in some delicate paper, it was the greatest gift I have ever had.The beef was so succulent it was still mooing. And the cheese sensually blanketed the burger, and the bread, so soft I could have penetrated it with my phallus. I then, moved onto the chips, each and everyone was so perfect, crisp as a fresh sheet on the outside, and fluffy as a bearded clam on the inside.I was so enticed by the imminent beauty of this meal I sat in the restaurant until it closed.The only down side, was they got angry, when I asked if they had any other restaurants in their chain, they told me that was a stupid questions.I understand it's only in it's early beginning, however I'm sure one day they will have restaurants like McDonald all over the world, and I'm proud to say I've been here from the start.
