Mcdonald's Restaurants in Brighton and Hove

Waiting half an hour for two coffees and a medium order of fries is unacceptable. Worst service at a McDonald’s I have ever seen.

Not comparable to the more comfy atmospheres the McD's have in the US (i am sensitive to loud sounds and lights so it was not for me) but its Mackey's.. Quick bite by the sea or before heading into the cinema. cant complain too much.

Food was as expected. Staff were lovely. The toilets in mens were blocked, flashing light and extremely loud music (it's not a dirty disco- clean it). Ladies toilet were absolutely filthy and again extremely loud music. No tables were being cleaned. I had to wipe a table down before sitting. Floor sticky. There was no staff on the main floor. All table service number stands have gone missing. The whole place needs a deep clean.

When you order online for delivery food is prepared immediately. Staff place the food on an unheated shelf to the right of the public counter. It sits there until a driver turns up. It can sit there getting cold for up to 15 to 20 mins and nobody checks that length of time. Today’s Oder arrived at my house barely tepid and inedible. McDonald’s won’t take responsibility and Uber eats dismiss this as acceptable and will not engage. The result is cold orders being churned out regularly when deleivery driver numbers are low. There is no quality control and no one takes responsibility. The liklihood of ruined food being delivered is about 70% of orders from here. Uber so they take feedback seriously but won’t refund or even engage. McDonald’s with whom the contract is will not engage telling me complaints must go to Uber eats.

Food is always cold, and I just waited over 2 hours for a delivery when the restaurant is a 10 min drive away. Ridiculous

My burger was missing pickles. At least I got free fries with it. The tables weren't clean.

Burger was hot and fresh, however, it was dripping grease constantly. Slightly delayed waiting time. My previous visit here I waited 15 minutes for a single burger order. Side note, the entrance design is awful, it’s far easier to walk up the drive thru to access the front door. The walkway kind of goes around the houses to get to the same place.

This McDonald's is ok if it quiet the food is nice and quick but when it gets even a little busy it does run very well and I have had my orders lost multiple times but the staff are helpful at least

Wrong order again for the second time running. Today it was a black coffee, but it was supposed to be a white coffee. The Internet never works to check in once you have arrived.

Self service with plenty stations to fill in your order. McDonalds is pretty standard no matter where you are - which is why I like it... you know pretty much what you are going to get before you order. Self service is an added benefit, and amazingly fast service makes the whole fast food wait so much more bearable... what a pleasure to buy from here...

Waited at drive throu this morning 20 mins for me breacky to then be told to park up 10 mins later still no breacky and now late for work so had to drive away with out the breakup I paid for… stop messing about and do yr job properly or leave… as I won’t get reimbursed for my breakup..there bloody idiots.. never again…

Do not use the drive thru. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for 'fast food' and received a parking fine because of them losing our number plate. This will be taken further.

This McDonald's used to be great and it's just gone downhill. - The drive thru is terrible always ask you to park up - multiple attempts going up to the window to ask where our food is. One of the workers finally found out what happened 1 hour and 15 minutes later. My number plate was " written down wrong " so the order has to be made again - finally received our, order and yeah the food was hot and it was nice but also received a parking charge for exceeding the 90 minute stay. Appealed the parking fine to explain what happened and they are still confident I need to pay for "overstaying". What was I supposed to do, park my car in the multi story, take the numberplate off and sit in a space in McDonald's for my order to come out.

Visited here multiple times when around the marina, and every time is the same story, made to park up (which I’m ok with sometimes) and it takes ages, and the foods not any good. But today. I literally, got an oasis and a wrap of the day, was given the oasis at the window and made to park up, by the time the food came 20 minutes later my oasis was long gone and the food came cold. Not usually one to complain but this place is utterly awful.

As usual just eat is a terrible app to use food cold,wait time ever changing. There is no way to speak to a chat bot never mind a person. I own a restaurant and would never use your app to supply my products. Also within the industry most independents wouldn’t touch your platform for this reason. Absolutely shocking service as usual the sooner the better the next delivery service comes along that can actually take feed back,unlike this platform hiding behind generic questions that get you nowhere

We waited for 30 minutes in the drive through. There was people walking back to the window who had been waiting in the bays for food to be brought out which had been forgotten, complete chaos. When our food arrived it was stone cold. This is the worst McDonald’s I’ve been to.

ordered at 16:31 app said was delivered at 19:25 no food had shown up went down to mc Donald's the food was sopost to come from nothing they can do they said so i go and buy more food to take home and 4 hours later still nothing... happens more then it should missing food from these just eat drivers that in the end probably eat the food them selvs shocking service... AVOID if possible drivers not truthworthy

Anyone who's eaten more than a few McDonald's knows not all stores are created equal. This is one of the worse ones, it's always noisy and chaotic inside, service is often slower than at other branches and this branch will ALWAYS miss off your sauce, even when you've paid extra for it. If you're using the drive through I'd recommend checking everything is there before driving off because you can't guarantee that here.

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. The wait for food is almost always painfully long and then not worth the wait. I don’t blame the staff, it seems like management need to get a grip of it.

I need to write to compliment a member of staff on duty at circa 20:30 on Monday 23rd September 2024. The staff member’s name was CURTIS, whom I later found out was a crew trainer (I believe). My query related to an order placed via the McDonald’s App. The issue was a payment had been recorded, after a table service order, as pending on my credit card having followed an error message via the app. I sought assistance with this matter and Curtis unflinchingly obliged whilst the restaurant was busy. After expeditiously taking the time to seek and understand (information from the app and also reviewing the pending payment) and empathise with my situation he offered a very proactive customer recovery solution. My dilemma was that I couldn’t confirm that my order had been placed and queued! He sought to seek affirmation to my order, which was not evident, and having reviewed all the presented data offered a solution. The solution may not have been the correct in the long term, (pending payment and no order still prevailing), however his understanding and quick action fed two hungry customers in a timely manner. The solution was to order the same meal at a point of sale cash register without further payment. He also took the time following an enquiry, by myself, to actually come to the table with an order update! The food arrived by personal hand delivery and was gratefully received. I felt I had to speak to the on shift manager, Zee, who was also very courteous and customer centric, and state that I shall posting a review/comment. Now some may read this review and say it is only a burger! Well in this day and age of instant online gratification, non human interfacing etc, it was terrific for a slightly(ish!) older patron to have someone understanding to help! Therefore Curtis……..thank you, you are credit to McDonald’s and the service industry and are very much appreciated and hopefully valued by your employer.

3 and a half hours delivery time. Food was cold and no longer wanted by the time it arrived.

Probably one of the worst Mcdonald's anywhere. They've certainly removed the fast from fast food, and can't get even the simplest order right.

Terrible restaurant. 25 minutes to wait for food despite being late evening and close to empty. All the food orders were staking up and getting cold on the counter. Staff are rude and when you bring back cold food, apparently it’s your fault. Also, they charge for condiments. That’s fine, but when they have run out of the free bbq and ketchup please they need to change it and not kick off and ask me if they need to change it, do your job. That’s why you get minimum wage.

Food was late food was cold and soggy also was supposed to receive a refund for full amount of over £18 but only received around £8 it was all cold and soggy so where is the rest of my refund? And how do I speak someone to get this resolved?

Slow service, took roughly 20 minutes to serve us after we used the self-serve machines near the entrance to the store. Got fed up with waiting so went to stand near the collection point with the 15-20 other people who were also waiting for their food. It was as if they were prioritising the drive-thru and didn't really care about the general restaurant. Behind the collection counter looking into the kitchen there was take out bags and just general dirt all over the floor. Poor Service, Not Fast-Food and was hit by an un-insured employee who just clocked off in the car park.

Waited 40 minutes at the drive through. Told us they'd then bring food out to us. They didn't. Pointless, might as well have gone to a proper restaurant for a sit down meal. Totally ridiculous, wasn't even that busy

Prioritise delivery companies. Waited about 45 minutes for food which was then cold and order wrong. Staff stand about talking 8nstead of doing stuff. Drinks are prepared and just left standing about.

Leave you sitting in the drive through for 15mins then leave you at the intercom for another 5mins order our food to get to the next window for them to say don't take cash(50) no signs up saying no 50s, crying kids in the car rude staff and manager like I had done something wrong, they didn't even check the 50 pound note just point blank refused, telling me there going to call the police so a wasted 40minutes

Last time I visited this place. 25 minutes wait for food( 6 items). All the confused staff seem to be dealing with are the fekking Deliveroo riders. Food was cold,when it eventually arrived and the chocolate milkshake was horribly sour, I suspect it was off. Fast food used to be fast and cheap(ish). Today it is neither....The worst McDonald's I ever visited.

Run terribly. It's the longest wait time of any McDonald's ever. Sure you have a busy drive through etc. But just take on more staff. It makes the McDonald's brand look rubbish. Every time I am in there I see 3 or 4 people moaning to management about the wait times. It's chaos.

30 mins for my order to be ready, needed to reminded a couple of times before it was rushed out, half the contents of one of the burgers was missing. It seemed to be very disorganised behind the counter with orders being missed and multiple people chasing up orders after long waits while others got their orders almost immediately.

The worst MacDonalds I’ve ever visited. Shockingly slow service. The staff need an injection of umphh or at least some motivational talk from the Manager. 30mins from paying for our order to receiving it is unacceptable. Mediocre food (compared to other MacDonalds outlets) but there comes a point when if the staff can’t / aren’t working together, everything (orders etc) will always get lost in translation. Someone handed us their order receipt as they couldn’t wait any longer - when a customer is walking out due to the extensive wait time, this should be addressed quickly. At the end of the day, MacDonalds is categorised as ‘fast’ food, though today’s experience was 100% the opposite.

This has got to be the worst McDonald's experience I have ever had. Waited 25 minutes for a simple meal and when asked where my food was I was told it hadn't even been made. The shift manager was useless. I asked for a refund and queried why food wasn't coming out and why aren't you telling irrate customers, she had no answers. I said maybe stop prioritising deliveries close the drive thru and she said they aren't allowed. All she had to do is tell everyone waiting why they were waiting, simple right? I will be reporting them to their head office simply for being stupid!!

Order took over 2 hours and still didn't get delivered. Had 2 Autistic children all excited about their happy meals just to be let down where it ended up getting so late. Had to quickly cook for them so they could go to bed. Not the first time I've ordered mcdonalds through deliveroo or just eat and the rider has ended up waiting so long to be handed the food it got to the point they left.

Everyone seemed to get their food completely out of order. I put to eat in but they gave me the food to take away. The food took forever and when it finally came it was cold and items were missing.

20 minutes i waited for 2 double cheeseburgers and a coke. When they came food was old cold and nasty coke was flat and had no ice. Staff were busy chatting behind the wall. Worse McDonald's I've been too and i travel the country for work. Staff should aal be sacked

Here at 11pm on a Wednesday evening. Waiting 30 mins for my food...along with a load of others. They're making one order every 5 minutes, slowest McDonald's ever.

Its a good little drive through with great staff and food. It's Mac Donald's and it beats being hungry

McDonald’s is good for coeliacs /gluten intolerance with non fatal symptoms. The McDonald’s process of separating ingredients/food in their prep process means if you order a burger with no bun/gluten you won’t usually have a chance of cross contamination besides gluten-free and gluten stuff being in the same kitchen.

Missing nuggets and two burgers

Constantly get your order wrong, full of teenagers, have to wait 20 minutes to even order anything then wait another 20 sometimes 30 minutes for your food for it to be wrong and missing items.

we put an order in around 12pm, we recieved the food at 2:45pm. that's 2hrs and 45 minutes. not only that, the food was made at 1:24pm. so it had been sitting around for a hour and 20 minutes. I am not happy with this, this was a lunchtreat for my 2 children. I wanted to cancel my order when the delivery time was going up but I couldn't due to 'food being prepared', I didn't know I would have to wait an extra hour and 20 minutes to get it. unfair service. I should get full refund, not part!

Ordered from here via Deliveroo and the order was accepted and shown in the kitchen at 21.41 hrs and shown in the kitchen being prepared. A rider was assigned and cancelled and at 22.39 hrs nearly an hour later my order was cancelled as riders were arriving at the restaurant and said it was closed. I don’t get why McDonald’s accepted the order and showed it as being prepared if this was not the case. I went back on to the Deliveroo app and it was showing that I could order from McDonald’s but didn’t bother wasting my time and being disappointed again. This restaurant is a total joke and only a couple of miles away and a 10 min drive. I’ve complained several times before as the order is normally cold, items are missing and I have even received the wrong order. The manager needs to get a grip as they are providing cold food which must just be sitting around before delivery as the riders are prompt after collection. Ordered a chicken nugget happy meal with ketchup - there was no ketchup and a chicken and bacon wrap and I got a chicken chili wrap - waited over half an hour and they still couldn’t get it right - absolute disgrace! 😡😡

Ridicules. Second time in this brunch. First time waiting 20 minutes . If you don't tell the stuff for your number. You still waiting..Second time ordered chips and ice cream. Waiting 15 minutes. Time to fire and re-hire a new manager. You can see the absoloute mayhem the staff (probably young people trying to earn some money) taking the brunt of abuse from customers because every order is messed up… It feels as though the staff have given up, each parking bay is taken, everyone (including ourselves) has been waiting for at least 40mins. What has happened to the ethos of ‘fast food’. Absolutely awful, wouldn’t surprise me if this place was shut down.

Brighton Marina McDonald's after dark has always been a bit of a lightning rod for the stranger local denizens, gathering a mixture of shady punters. Inside, outside, performing for and watching on, the multitude of eyeballs, judging from the surrounding shadows. Consistently the 2nd or 3rd best milkshakes in the city - and no, those ten quid monstrosities with a wedge of cake and lit sparklers on top don't count!

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to unfortunately. Tables outside are covered in fresh and dried bird poo rubbish on the floor. It took 35 mins for food to be prepared it was cold and my burger was missing. I understand Fridays are busy but they need to sort their staffing level out to meet the demand.
