Mcdonald's Restaurants in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

This place needs somebody from corporate to come by and check how it’s being run. Absolute chaos and dreadful customer service. Basil Fawlty would run the place better.

They never get it right. Every time the order is wrong! By the time you get home it's too late. And it's usually cold. Rubbish.

They never get a single order correct. Even when I ate in the restaurant they got it wrong... 4/5 times my order is missing items and I’m not able to get a refunds Does anyone at this McDonald’s have a brain?

I believe everyone who works here is brain dead, it takes them 3 times to get 1 order correct. Then when we get the food it is at a terrible standard.

Waiting 28min for them cook hash browns. What they doing growing the potatoes and always getting order wrong daily ....

This place has to be a world record holder... for constantly having items unavailable. Service is often slower than Royal bloody Mail as well.

Handy place - always open, and has consistently good food. I’d like to see the Uber Eats drivers and the like using a tradesmen’s entrance however rather than plonking their dirty bags on the tables and loitering around when people are trying to dine.

Normally the service is no eye contact, minimal words, bordering on rude. This evening we were both surprised by our server at the food collection window. Polite, friendly, and chatty all within the normal time frame (ie: not holding the queue up for niceties). If we clocked the name badge properly, their name was Tom.

Good McDonald’s,quick service and clean with helpful staff.Not the biggest so choose your time.Busy in season.

Needs some input from a regional office to improve standards, management seems poor. Several times have been given the wrong order or cold food or sloppily put together burgers after a long wait in the drive thru. Quite slow fast food. Milkshake machine frequently out of order.

Waited 20 mins at night (not busy) for a very simple meal. I asked where my food was nicely and in retaliation I got 10 straws and half a packed of napkins… not a big deal but like what was the point. Seems very childish. Customer service in Falmouth McDonald’s has gone really down hill. Maybe some customer care training is needed.

Outstanding McDonalds, very genuine staff too. This is now a regular haunt, its much better than the one in Truro.

The staff are incompetent, an embarrassment to all of the other, excellent Maccies that I have visited. Fast? They are having a laugh. Food is ok.

Wow! I'd like to just leave it at that, but I simply cannot. This establishment blew what tiny mind I had completely away, from it's warm and welcoming interior to its Tomorrow's World esque computerised ordering system, I thought I was at NASA at one point it was all so high tech! I attended during my lunch break from work, I only get half an hour due to staff sickness/recent deaths, so was so glad I found this gem I could order tasty food from which I could eat and still have time to scroll through the latest Daily Star news. I had the 'Big Mac meal' and it did not disappoint. It was big indeed. 2 patties of organically sourced beef twixed a light and fluffy bun, with cheese and burger sauce to die for (although probably should stay off the subject of death considering current work/break situation). The French fries were salted perfectly and the coked cola drink washed it all down as a perfect pallette cleanser. I would urge anyone who hasn't taken up the American food revolution to take it up today, you will not be disappointed, or indeed full. They even provide on site cholesterol and heart monitoring gratis, now that's service. Thank you uncle Sam, I will be back.

The coffee and iced coffee is much better than truro mcdonalds. It is slightly stronger than that truro piss which is a shame as I live in truro. Falmouth Frappechino ☆☆☆☆☆

No wonder this place has been awarded the worst in Cornwall. If it’s not cold food it’s incorrect but now apparently they don’t do the loyalty drinks.??? Think someone need more training. Oh well there are plenty of better places near that don’t ask you to park up, get your order wrong or serve cold food nearly every time.

Utterly useless as usual. I’m not sure who owns this franchise but you need to get to grips with it. You are obviously blind to it being run into the ground or you simply don’t care about the atrocious service here. This has been going on like it for some time. Its odd to write a review about McD's but after the terrible experience at Muddy Cafe we needed breakfast for the kids. The staff are polite and clearly take pride in their work as it's a very quick drive through experience which = hot food....

They have messed up my orders 95% of the times I’ve been in there, my customised food always comes out wrong and as a fast food restaurant I understand that they have a priority to provide food quickly, but never thought it was hard to understand when somebody doesn’t want lettuce. This Mcdonalds has been the subject of issues for several years now, recent staff have helped to claw some reputation back but this newish crew weren't in tonight.I approached the wonderful new drive in point and was greeted pleasantly enough. I ordered a Chicken wrap happy meal, chocolate shake, a flat white, 2 chicken mayos and a 20 piece sharebox. The nice chap taking the order apologised and said what else had I ordered? The chicken mayos were not on the screen - I replied, '2 chicken mayos' and he apologised again and asked me to drive round. I paid at the first kiosk, went to the second kiosk, collected order and drove off. I asked my little boy if there were 2 chicken mayos in the box and he searched and said no. Drove back, stated at the order point, 2 chicken mayos missing, at the paypoint was asked to go to the collection point and a young lady approached and said that she had completed the order and that was I sure they were not in the bag, she appeared to be looking around as if I had hidden them!!!I passed her the bag and she checked inside!!!! She then said that I had not paid for the sharebox, I said I had, and I repeated the order, 1 chicken wrap happy meal, a flat white, 20 piece sharebox and 2 mayo chickens. She then changed her story to - you haven't paid for the mayo chickens, I answered, 'what can I do?' and was met with, 'read the screen' and the offer of charging me for the mayo chickens with the suggestion I drive back round to the payment window, thus re-joining the queue!!!! When I said I didn't want to do that she said ok and walked off!!! Terrific management here to magnify a gentle error, alreay apologised for and then magnified by missing the items off into a customer who now states they will never visit the site again. This was a regular Monday pm for my lad, occasional visit on a Saturday.

A Polyvinyl chloride island in a river of traffic, with many lumens illuminating its blasted halls. The sound of beeping and industrious bustle permeate through the gaping maw of the kiosk , engineered by psychologists and food scientists its weight gravitates you almost unconsciously past its gazing glass walls into its open doors. Souls sit and some stand single or in groups on its reflective floor and children tap interactive colours and shapes on monitors with incessant and fascinated eagerness. A strange place and one that I think is quite an experience.

Normally get quite good food at this place, unfortunately not this time. Service was ok and the food order accurate, however, our burgers were only Luke warm and the fries no better. Not their finest hour, coffee was hot though. Hopefully this was just a blip with the quality of food. Seemed that it had been sitting around for some time.

Give this place a wide berth. Has been awarded “worst McDonald’s in Cornwall “ and it’s easy to see why. Cold food and incorrect orders are the normal. Be warned if you use the drive though you have a 90% chance of having to park up. Of course the hot drinks you have will be cold by the time your order arrives.

I never write reviews but feel strongly to write one. We have just come home after having a drive through. Waiting in the parking bay and like you do you think it’ll be fresh and hot but no, chips were freezing cold, over salted, hot chocolate was like water and tasteless, the milkshake tasted like a sour mixture of all the flavours. What a waste of money! Will not be visiting the Falmouth Mac Donald’s in the future as it’s always hit and miss and this time was the last.

Spotlessly clean. Friendly, cheerful and very efficient staff and prompt service. What else do you need?

Took two young children for lunch and was surprised at how quickly we were served. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were handed balloons, crayons to take home and a printed table cloth to colour in.

Pedí una Mac grande, una hamburguesa doble de queso y un par de patatas fritas en el camino de entrada, me dijeron que aparcara y esperaba lo mismo que el coche después de mí. I've lived in Falmouth for my whole life been all over Cornwall, Falmouth McDonald is probably the worst the branch has opened, it's not that we don't have the customers. It's the FOOD! Cold, over cooked , and for some reason you either have belly ache or feel hungry again half hour later. I recommend any other McDonald restaurants but not Falmouth

We popped in for breakfast at the start of a 250 mile journey to wait nearly 20 minutes for fast food. We heard complaints about the wait from the drive through answered with 'you shouldn't come at this time' and witnessed a staff member with a wrist friendship bracelet which had cotton ends dangling in the food. The hygiene didn't seem quite right. It reminded me t give this place a wide berth.

This branch is almost comically awful, what do you expect from a fast food restaurant many people might say, well at the very least the food you've ordered put in the bag would be a good start but this is achieved very rarely, last week I ordered pancakes and sausage, when home found the sausage had been left out, that's 50% of the meal missing, rang the branch to tell them and in fairness they are always willing to put it in the book so you can have it again, a book I would imagine is coming close to equaling the doomsday book in size and weight, went down this morning to get replacement brekkie, no quibbles, giving free food out is the norm for this branch and when I was given the bag I said "is everything in there " and he went "yep" to which I replied "are you sure" and he went "yep" so I opened the bag and said "could you go and get the syrup please" to which he replied "oh I forgot that" and there you you have it, two examples of what it's always like and that's before you get to the always cold food, half empty boxes of chips and giving you ice cream before parking you for twenty minutes. It's not difficult to get right, it's reading and counting but unfortunately it's something they rarely manage to achieve to the point where it's become a local joke about what food was missing from your micky d's.

A really slow McDonalds, not the worst but far far from the best....... Staff training could maybe improve this.

After more visits than I care to remember one thing stands out for me here...Its got the slowest drive in I have ever experienced. It seems that more often than not I have to wait in Bay 1 for my food, (even for a simple hamburger). Often the waits are pretty significant too, no matter what time of day.

It's a decent McDonald's, much closer to Penryn than Falmouth. I've always found it to be quick, including the drive-through, and the food to be as expected. The staff are friendly and very helpful and there's usually plenty of them available. I've always found this venue to be clean (we tend to go in the morning en route to swimming).

Tables were being wiped off with the same brush that they wipe the floor with. So complained and still never used a spray and damp cloth to wipe them down even though the manager told them off it. Generally dirty food took a while and wasn't overly warm when it arrived so won't be returning

Very hit and mis. Can be good sometimes when you get correct order and it's warm/hot. Sadly this does not happen 50% of the time. When it goes wrong expect cold coffee as your given that before you go to the waiting bay. Bacon roll with only half the bacon and hash brown that was cold and greasy. Prices have stayed the same for a while now but size has gone down by 40% so not the value it used to be. Overall it's a bit of a gamble using this branch.

I have never been through the drive thru at this McDonalds without being told to 'park'! It's supposed to be fast food but we always have to wait at least 10mins! As its the only one in town we've been going for years but the service never gets any better! Not one to normally complain but having once worked for in a McDonalds I know how it's supposed to be done and Falmouth drive thru is not the way!!

Normal McDonald's but with friendlier staff, food was hot instead of tepid. Not long waiting to eat. Clean toilet. Wish the coffee was better though, that's a bit grim

I have never written a trip advisor review before but I felt the customer service and level of care received at Falmouth Mc Donald's this evening couldn't go unoticed. The restaurant was spotless and there was an immediate warm welcome. The 2 assistant manager was very friendly and made excellent recommendations on food, his level of attentiveness and care was exceptional, making several check backs and ensured that our experience was by far the best I have ever had at any mc Donald's. he appeared to make the whole team positive and motivated. An over all brilliant experience!!

At times on vacation, I am so worn out that I want sustenance rather than deep consideration about what I am going to eat. My travel companion and I went here after a long journey, and though the food is standard McDonald's fare, the staff was magnificent, bringing our meals to the table after ordering, and even clearing the tables when we finished. I felt embarrassed because they were not paid to do this, and were going way above and beyond there job description, but in a very good way. This particular McDonalds is an example to other McDonalds restaurants, and even other non-McDonalds restaurants.

If you have had one then you know what they are like!! Its clean and staff are nice, unlike some mcdonalds around.
