McDonalds Restaurant in Harrogate

i don’t know what’s going on at the minute with mcdonald’s food but it is absolutely atrocious and staff can’t seem to get orders right which are written down on a receipt, i ordered a 3 piece chicken select meal which is on my receipt and they gave me a cheeseburger i also ordered large fries which were half empty and soggy with no salt on them, id also ordered sweet curry dips and they gave me sweet and sour which was also on the receipt.

Good afternoon, I have had a horrendous experience this afternoon at McDonald’s in ripon, I made a order for my family I ordered 9 chicken selects and the rest of the meals I rang McDonald’s before hand making sure that all of the sauces ect were in the bag. However when my order came that was not the case I was not given my chicken selects I was given 9 chicken nuggets instead, I rang up to complain as I asked before hand for it all to be correct I spoke to my Uber driver who told me to contact McDonald’s personally which I did, they would accept my call and I started talking I got hung up on, I was on the phone to the manger she proceeded to tell me that it’s not a matter that she could deal with and to contact Uber and she could not know wether the Uber driver had eaten it/ taken it. I stated that it was a issue on there behalf of sending the wrong food out, I said I would be happy to come collect the right food and the manger (the woman I was on the phone to ) told me if I came she would ring the police and have me removed. I am very disappointed about the service I had today it was absolutely appalling.

hot food, good service, quick drive thru. would recommend ripon. we got two meals and two mcflurrys . so excited for the summer menu. cant wait!!

Ordered two double sausage and egg McMuffins, got two double bacon McMuffins and they forgot to put the breakfast wrap in the bag so had to return but not until we nearly got home. The girl who sorted out the order was great though.

Came with grandchildren for ice cream treat, they at least look like the photos of their products, unlike what you get with burgers etc.

ordered an uber eats last night and mcdonald’s charge you 70p for a pot of sour cream and chive sauce and 50p for 2 pots of bbq sauce and they never put it in the bag before they send it off. sick of it at this point. i want my money back

This has to be the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. There is absolutely no quality to the basic standard of food coke is more water, fries texturally from the pavement and the burger there are no words to explain how poor and slap dash. If that place has a manager I would be ashamed

i went to mcdonald’s today after a long hard day of work and i am absolutely shocked i asked for 5 chicken selects which is 7 pounds and i received 3 so not only did i not get my order but they also over payed and i got ripped of i 100% won’t be going back absolutely horrendous

I've lost count of how many times this restaurant has got my order wrong!! I can understand if it was once or twice, but it's becoming more consistent. Called Ripon McDonalds to request a refund on the missing item and told they can't issue a refund and I would need to visit the store for a replacement item. Shocking customer service and will avoid in the future.

I reside in Ripon and have seen this restaurant slowly decline in all aspects over the years. Today was the final time I will visit this mcdonalds. A few days ago I picked up breakfast for my son and myself we drove out of the drive through and the short distance home. The food was cold and stale like it had been cooked and shelved for an hour or more. To be Frank it was inedible. I went this morning with the intension of raising my concerns and to simply request a freshly cooked breakfast. The employee requested my receipt from the last visit which I did not have because it was placed in the takeaway bag and was illegible. I said I didn't want a refund just freshly cooked food, "I need to get my manager" was the response. At the window the manager was rude and unhelpful I simply stated I was not wanting a refund just hot food. His response was "if I did that for everyone i would lose money". I did not think hot edible food was such a big request. He was rude and unhelpful and closed the window in my face while the spotty teenager stood behind him looked on in glee. How this place passes food health and safety standards is beyond me.

Chips cold soggy and white, no napkins, no sauces, no ice for drinks, no straws, no option for milkshakes. We sat in the click and serve for 20 mins.. we might as-well have drove there and ordered food while sitting in! There is no point ordering online because they don’t make it until you arrive, so it’s pointless! I will say this though.. I feel sorry for the employees of this store! It’s an absolute circus in there during peak times. The staff clearly struggle when under pressure and struggle to keep up with the long ques of customers who are backed up all the way to Harrogate road roundabout, causing vehicle obstructions and making it unsafe to pass during peak times. Because this McDonalds is the only one in over 10 miles of its neighbouring stores this explains the reason why it can’t keep up with the high demand of customers who will drive from far and wide. Hopefully when the new McDonald’s is finished that is being built on York Road off the motorway junction into Thirsk, this might alleviate some of that pressure on this store. Fingers crossed in conclusion to my above theory. Reason being, the staff shouldn’t be that overworked and be completely rundown. They lack motivation and look as if Ronald McDonald and the grinch teamed up and tag teamed there nana for a Christmas special. Surely working there is always a temp solution until they follow there real ambitions in life.. I hope.

Every time I come here the drive through is so slow. I actually drove over the kerb to get out of the queue as I waited so long.

What an absolute brilliant member of your team on the drive thru order taker this evening at 17:30. What a breathe of fresh air brought smile to all our faces.

One of the worst McDonald’s I have ever purchased food from, staff seem to be uninterested in actually working, quite happy to chat to each other but actually serving a customer seems too much for them. Once food was finally ordered it arrived basically cold, absolutely fantastic just what I’d wanted cold chips and semi warm burger. I’d avoid this restaurant unless completely desperate

We visited here on they way to our holiday and it was honestly so good we went back on the way home from holiday, the staff who worked there are so lovely 2 older ladies one with short grey hair and glasses and one with dark hair, then a older man not being ageist just wasnt the usual 12 year olds who work at my local one, the food was extremely quick, hot everything arrived correctly when asked for no onions etc, the burhers actually looked like the pictures, the young lad bring food over was very friendly even saying enjoy your meal, having 3 young boys and the worst mcdoanlds ever nesr out home this is honestly one of the best we have had and they need a special mention keep up the good work.

So I was hungry and went to Mcdonald's the service was ok and I got home to find the burger I got is cold and mold in it an absolutely useless and terrible place to eat do not recommend it.

They're just useless. There's no-one in charge. Guarantee your order will be wrong. We just avoid the place now. I'd rather drive to Bedale.

Lady who served me was very rude, tcouldnt handle the amount of staff that came in and ended up locking the door to lock people out. Happened to look in the back floor was filthy as was tables. Kids that work there screaming. Shocking

Cold food soggy chips ... when returning food lady had a bad attitude and staff just laughed like it was a joke.

We stopped to use the loos and buy a burger and drink. The loos were ok. We didn’t get food though because the staff couldn’t be bothered to take our order. We like to place our order with a human being rather than faff with the electronic do it yourself machines. We waited by the till, a member of staff was on the till doing her own thing. She didn’t acknowledge our presence, when she had finished doing her thing she walked off completely ignoring us. So well done MacDonalds, I will not be frequenting your establishment again. Instead we went to Lidl in Ripon and bought a variety of food for the same amount as we would have spent on burgers, and the staff acknowledged our presence.

We called in on the hottest day of the year (33 degrees!!) in July and, as standard practice with this useless franchise, the obligatory notice saying "no ice cream or iced drinks". What????!!! This happens every year with this particular branch, citing "technical difficulties". How is this possible every summer when this is what customers want? I am convinced there is nothing wrong with their machines, it's just that they can't be bothered to serve ice cream and drinks (as everything seems a chore and effort here). How can the owner claim their most important machines break down EVERY time the temperature gets above 20 degrees? More to the point, how can they afford to, as must be losing so much revenue? Just total incompetence all round- again.

Called here at 10pm on a Thursday evening. Pulled up to the intercom and was greeted with a strange grunt- had no idea what was said. After sitting in our car for 3 minutes we asked if anyone was there and was told to "wait a minute!" We had already waited 3. We finally placed our order and drove round the bend to be greeted with 4 cars stacked up which did not move for a further 5 minutes. When we finally got to the payment window we could see total chaos through the window- 3 customers waiting at the counter; an older woman running about shouting "I have no idea what's going on", total incompetence of orders. Everybody seemed to be getting things given to them incorrectly and staff had no clue what to do. 20 minutes later we got to the food window and had to wait again until they gave us our full order. 25 minutes later we drove away from this "fast food" outlet. The chicken nuggets were horrible and had obviously been reheated at least 3 times as they were hard, dry and tasteless. Imagine getting the hard tail piece in a bit of fish and this was exactly the consistency of these nuggets. We would have gone back but had travelled several miles at this point and they would have just been totally useless handling any complaints.No idea what is going on at this franchise but they seem to have lost the plot, with no management available, untrained staff and general incompetence. If I could give zero stars I would, but I won't be using again unless service and food quality drastically improves.

All we wanted was a smoothie and an ice cream cone in the drive thru. Service was painfully slow and we finally got to the window only for the girl to try and give us somebody else's order! We told her what it was and got the smoothie. Sat for ice cream which came about a minute later without a flake. We told them so man took it back to add, by this time it was dripping!! Service never gets any better here- I dread to think what would happen if they had a huge order to fill.

Terrible, took 4 attempts to order at the drive through, assistant kept removing items we had ordered. Once order was placed we paid for it and received it which was quick to be fair. However the food was freezing cold and went in the bin. We didn't have time to go in and complain. The only thing hot was the coffee, which if I'm going to be picky was horrible. It had a sharp burnt taste to it but I drank it as it was so cold! Never had a problem with their main meals, wont be back for breakfast.

We don't go that often & the last time was a Christmas burger that was pretty awful to tell the truth, its better since the refurb, usually someone there cleaning. Just a typical Maccas really, but cleaner than some I have been in onmy travels

No surprises, nothing special. Just the usual stuff. Normally like to support a local cafe or pub for lunch, but we were in a hurry, and it wasn't my choice to come here. Next time we'll just grab a butty from a convenience store.

Unfortunately ripon is just the same as the rest of the franchise, a plain cheeseburger means plain, you know without any foreign substance planted inside, however having travelled a 18 mile round trip they managed to ruin three meals, mind you when I rang to complain, the manageress had a perfectly handy excuse, we were busy and training staff at the same time. DONT do one thing at a time.

It's a perfectly fine McDonalds in ripon (for which there seem to be two listings on Trip Advisor by the way)Handy for co op and garage next door. Morrisons opposite and on road to HarrogateStaff okay, food okay - if you need or want to use a McDonalds then it's as okay as any

We're not local and were just passing through. Found Maureen to be extremely helpful at the counter and also the nice lady who cleaned our table without being asked as we were sitting down. Was very busy too but food was good, order was correct and included 2 special orders.

Hmmm best chicken legend ive had is from here mmmmmm ... Lovely staff, good famirly place and great comfort food love it here .... And drive in a quick service fantastic better then most Macdonald's ive had

Despite the fact that it was very busy and there was a race day the staff managed to work as quickly as possible to deal with the large amount of customers they were faced with. We had a slight wait for the food but the staff were polite and friendly and sat us down then brought it over with a genuine smile. We felt welcome and will definitely visit again if passing through the area. The place was clean and tidy despite the high volume of customers and everyone working seemed happy and cheerful.

20 mile round trip to pick up two meals. No diet coke left and when arrived home, one of the meals was wrong. Won't be rushing back. If not eating in, check your order before you leave.

I never ask for anything to be changed with my meals. And usually go for the things that they sell alot of and yet the past 5-6 times iv been to the mcdonalds in ripon iv bin told to park up and have had to wait for up to 10 minutes. To most this wouldn't be a problem but 10 years ago i worked at a maccy ds and i know for a fact it takes 55seconds to cook a burger. And they dont cook them individualy they cook them in batches of 16. So i feel it is ridiculous that they feel the need to waste our time and let our food go cold. From now on i will be eating at the morrisons over the road. Better food similar price and better service

I went Friday night and ordered a large quarter pound cheeseburger meal with a coke and a quarter pound cheeseburger on its own and a galaxy Mcflurry. They didn't have any fizzy drinks and handed me the Mcflurrystraight away then kept me waiting at drive through for some time only to tell me they hadn't seen the extra cheese burger and I would have to wait while they cooked it . By this time the food was cold and the Mcflurry melting . I stupidly went back to the drive through again as my son wanted to and this time they had fizzy drinks and no mcflurrys. Also the girl didn't seem to understand the festive cheese bites he was ordering obviously hasn't looked at the xmas menu . Worst MacDonald s I have been to hence the title useless !

Ordered 2 yes 2 meals and they were both wrong they just wanted to take money and get me out of there. Dirty

I'm usually a big fan of McD's. You know what you're gonna get and its usually okay.This visit, however, really didn't meet the standard.They had very little on the menu (I had to change order 3 times because they didn't have the advertised menu) and the staff weren't very interested in the fact that there was a customer in the shop.The burger was very salty, the fries were very soggy and store wasn't very clean.Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this McDonalds to anyone.

the second and last time I will go here,the first time last summer my 3 year old daughter was served a stone cold happy meal,the cleaner was using the same cloth for the floor spills and the tables.today as passing I thought I would try it again..the cleaner (a different woman ),uses her cloth to wipe the spouts of the sauces and uses her same cloth to wipe the rubbish bin lid and then the tray!I ordered a bacon and chicken wrap,it was foul as in gone off badly,the outside tables were filthy and full of used trays and rubbish ,among the cigarette ends.the cleaner walks right passed all the mess surrounding us,not bothering to take anything away.she shoves her arm right inside the outside bin to squash the rubbish down,good job no needles in there.the whole place will be screaming in germs,disgusting!

What a performance every time my wife and i go there. Seems to be sheer pandamonium if 6 people want serving,then when you eventually get served it's,"If you take a seat,i'll bring it over".This is supposed to be a fast food outlet.When the meal eventually arrives the chips are cold and my wife who loves her chips hot says she is taking them back which she invariably does.Staff turn over seems to be at a premium also.We have noticed that the floor/table cleaning assistant has been called in to help by cooking and serving up chips.Next time,if we go,we will go through the drive through and eat them in the by-pass lay by as you seem to get preferential treatment and faster service.Still,it's great for the kids though.

I love McDonalds!! Omnomnomnomnom! My favourite thing about McDonalds in Ripon is the little lad Conor, he's just so sweet and my favourite McDonalds friend!!! and he's also my friend's favourite McDonalds friend! Double whammy!
