Useless staff, training each other while customers waiting, too keen to help delivery drivers, people waiting to be served were ignored, mistakes made, no milk shakes no Mcflurry was told machine being cleaned 12 on Sunday, absolutly horrid place, the place was chaos, AVOID!!!!!!!!!!! 0/0 also dirty, tables

No coffee for almost a week? It’s hard to understand how coffee machines remain out of order this long. I suppose it’s not a priority

Ice cold food, dirty tables, dustbins full, floors not clean… wont recommend

Place was dirty, a child spilled a drink next to us and it took the cleaner ages to come mop it up, and even then was left still soaking wet with no wet floor sign. Not one of the best restaurants we've visited.

At a loose end after visiting for a funeral, I went in for breakfast. There was a short wait. They were preparing a lot of large orders for deliveroo etc. I received my order. The hash brown was good. It didn't last long. I tried the toffee latte. Very hot. Nice. I was just starting to defrost and looking forward to the main attraction, Sausage and Egg McMuffin. Most of the snow had gone thankfully, and it would soon be time to start a tedious journey back to Kent. As I took my first mouthful, I bit into something far too hard to be there. This immediately made me want to vomit. If I had not been sat in the window on a high stool I probably would have covered the counter and the window. I almost ran out of the restaurant, frantically looking around for somewhere I could hide incase the battle going on between my mind and body went in favour of the body. This was an impossible task at 10am in Harrogate Centre when you have never been there before and dare not walk too fast on the hilly, slushy streets. I almost fell over a couple of times whilst trying to clear my mind of the experience. Still now, 3 weeks later I am close to being sick just writing this review. I've been passed my local branch a few times recently and considered popping in but then I remember Harrogate. I'm not ready to risk it yet.

Not bad as Mackies goes. They have plenty of seating upstairs but not a whole lot of accessible setting. They definitely need more in the way of self service terminals.

Plenty of staff (it is half-term), lovely and hot, delicious as usual.

Only two pre order machines working out of four, long queues waited 12 minutes for food, not clean.

This has to be the worst McDonald's i have ever been in ,i had a day out in Harrogate with my 2 Grandaughters we went for lunch ,we waited 25 minutes for our order when it came it was cold the bun on the burger was so stale it was crumbling, i got a salad that comprised off a few brown dry lettuce leaves and one slice of Tomato. The food was just awful. We went to visit the toilet before leaving there was no soap to wash your hands with and no toilet roll in either toilets .The place needs closing down.

Orderd for delivery every Friday u can guarantee something is missing everytime, they blame just eat but it's mcdonald's who pack the food up

Waited 20 mins for 1 burger 1 coffee. Had to ask for a fresh coffee because it had been sat 15 mins. Not one smile and dirty look when I asked politely for them to change the coffee .Regular customer and have noticed the customer service going down here. Take a leaf from the Knaresborough branch, always good. On the positive side lady cleaning tables upstairs is always friendly.

Ordered through McDonalds App, only received half the order, contacted McDonalds Harrogate and was told need to contact uber directly. I said that when this has happened before I had contacted the restaurant and the lady I had spoken to had sorted my complaint with no problems. The manager said that they did not do that anymore and that I had to contact Uber eats direct. I said I was reluctant to do this as historically I have not had good experiences by doing this and would rather they could just sort on the phone today. Manager I spoke to was starting to sort issue but I was then passed onto the ‘highest manager in the shop that night’ and that they were not going to sort my order and I had already wasted enough of their time and had to end the conversation, needless to say I haven’t received a refund from Uber as the need photographic evidence of the error, and ended up out of pocket as had to reorder the items I had missing and paid twice for delivery!!

We ordered a large french fries today order number 34. Worst French Fries ever tasted at MacD UK, Harrowgate outlet near to Leeds. WORST FOOD.. TRASH FOOD.. Fries were COLD, SOFT and WORST in taste

Ordered double cheeseburger got single cheeseburger also chips were cold more interested in serving deliveroo couldn't get near counter for deliveroo collectors. Bill was 16.00 worst McDonald's ive ever had place was scruffy

Poor service order was wrong and cold.take away.we had it open within 1 minute of leaving the store but busy traffic stoped us from returning to store. 2 adults 1 teenagers 1 child

Every time I've been to this McDonalds I seem to come away with a bad experience. I've ordered a few times with Just Eat/Uber and I have had to wait over an hour for my food to turn up. Eventually it turns up cold, chips soggy, as the driver has spent a long time waiting for them to complete the order. It is very difficult to get through to them on the phone as well so I am reliant on contacting the Uber/Just Eat driver. After recently picking up an order from the shop they sold out of McFlurrys and Milkshakes, chips were okay and burgers were cold, 2 of the machines weren't working properly, and the staff seemed fairly disinterested. Need to seriously up their game!

Rock hard poorly cooked chicken and the place is filthy and in desperate need of refurbishment

I was abit baked and decided to order my self a maccies. So i shmoked up and ordered;). An hour later i check the order and it hadn’t been made. Was on the mega munchies on this point and tried to ring the maccies but they didn’t answer. Very disappointed with macdonals.

Missing half my order. Rang the actual branch. A lovely lady called Christine sorted us out and made sure we received our order. Brilliant customer service from Christine

Bit busy. my order had 8 meals so they took time to make it. I feel bit slower.

If this is the standard McD's has dropped to then it's a big no from me. Food order from "machine" was totally wrong so had to re-order at counter. When my cappuccino came, it was almost cold. Burgers were so thin it was an insult to call them burgers! Only came in as handy & convenient from walking round market & a sit down. Never again.

No staff were wearing name tags or hair nets for start . Orders didnt take long to make however they were given out in wrong orders . And the food came cold . When we got to our table , the table was mucky and food left overs from prewious coustomers . Overall is wad okay

Absolutely poor staff. Loads of staff behind the counter cannot even move for each other and totally ingnored me when I went to collect order to the point I just took it. Too busy concentrating on just eat and deliveroo orders.

I never expect much from a McDonald's but this place is a dump. The place is usually filthy with overflowing bins, dirty tables and floors with old food strewn about. Tonight my food came out virtually cold, to be fair to the server she did replace it quickly with a hot version of my order.

Worst McDonald’s ever. Slow staff no organisation people’s orders not brought out for 35 minutes. Order no 51 was not out but order nos in the 70s were brought out first. Deliveroo and just eat delivery’s we’re given priority over Customers stood waiting far too long. Food being returned because it was cold. Staff stood texting on phones. Piles of food on the pass then picked up and placed in bag on cold counter. I opened my food when it was finally bagged after 28 mins of waiting the food was Luke warm at best and part of the order was wrong. I spoke to manager whose excuse was she had just come on shift !! A fast food outlet that is very slow and leaving food in open bags is a recipe for food poisoning in my opinion. Some senior management need to be tasked before someone is taken ill and it’s blatantly obvious retraining is required. I will never go to this place again or I may to ask for my money back. My order was no 65 . It was Saturday 25th Nov at 7.55 pm.

Twice I have ordered on delivery and both times missed items out. They keep blaming Uber eats but it's a sealed bag... Basic stuff look at what is on the order list before sending it off

Can’t give zero this app won’t let you do that plus this McDonald’s. They only care about Deliveroo and other takeout firms. The restaurant itself upstairs was dirty. Had to complain about cold food. One item of my order was missing made the hot drinks before the order was made up so the coffee was cold. first, and last time that I come here. you would think with it being in Harrogate, it would be more better, but it has to be the worst one I have ever been to

Absolutely terrible cold the team need retraining in customer service. They just passed the book they’re not interested they don’t get back to you. The managers all need retraining it’s not fast food it’s very slow and not very good reputation has gone downhill massively in my personal opinion. It is a waste of money and I will not be returning there and I urge everyone to think before you spend your hard earned money.

constantly forgetting items, awful service

Every time I come to this McDonald’s branch their milkshake machine is never functioning. I never have this issue with other local branch’s. Suppose I should just stop visiting here!

Purchased our meals through Just Eat. On receipt of our meal found food missing. This is not the first time, this happens so frequently and when you have ordered for tea to find you have half of your order missing it’s a joke !! I rang the store to inform them we had items missing and to let them know it happens more often than not. I know from past experience that if ordered through Just Eat they deal with it but I was just wanting to inform them that standards are poor. I rang the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager to which she informed me she was I voiced my concerns and let her know it happened quite frequently to be told there was nothing she could do. I said all I was wanting to do was let them know that something is lacking in making up orders and that it needed to be addressed. I asked for her name to which she refused and said she would now put the phone down on me as she said she didn’t like the way I was speaking to her. I’m afraid if you can’t take constructive criticism when something is clearly lacking you should not be in a managerial role. I feel as a customer to be met with no help and pass the buck on Just Eat is wrong. The error was at the restaurant she could of quite simply found out which member of staff had made this order up had a word and told them to raise their game, surely it’s not too difficult to make an order up. So basically a very bad experience.

Ordered through Uber, food was cold despite being delivered quickly by Uber. Staff ignored all instructions for customised food items. Staff failed to put all dips in the order. How hard is it to hire competent staff that can read instructions?

Possibly the worst MacDonalds I have visited, the service is unbelievably slow. Degenerates outside drinking at 8am. Don't take you kids to this one. It's disgusting

This has to be the worst McDonald’s I have been in the uk. It is absolutely disgusting. The tables are filthy, rubbish lying everywhere in the floor tables. Bins are overflowing and to make you laugh when I was in it was quiet. We ate our meal and vowed never to go to this again. Environmental Health should investigate this it is awful.

Loads of roadmen children inside pretending to be charvas, offering people vapes etc and a long time to wait for just some chips and a burger!!

Went in on Thursday evening at 21.55 , had to queue to book as only one machine operating , opted to eat in and booked and paid only we couldnt eat in as all the seating area had been closed off !!!! food was good but generally dissapointed , wont be going again !!!

Called in for a double sausage and egg McMuffin, I watched the assistant put down some boxes he had just brought in from the back, he took my money and gave me change out of the till then proceeded to make my Mcmuffin using his dirty hands with no gloves, the only time he used tongs was when he put the egg on, absolutely disgusting hygiene. At least the pigeons enjoyed a free meal

The food was taking very long. I was waiting like 40mins for some burgers and fries. The stuff where very mean and rude. I was tranna be nice be they where shutting at me and my family. The made as stay outside to wait for our order when it was freezing and raining. Hate this place there come here again. And wouldn’t recommend it to any one

This McDonalds is an absolute disgrace. They constantly forget things - and it's usually not just something simple, but literally entire burgers from large meals are consistently missing when ordering for Delivery. Weirdly enough, that hasn't happened with any other restaurant in Harrogate Area, so this must definitely be a store issue. Very disappointed.

This establishment has big problems with cleanliness and employees in the kitchen. . The object is dirty. The food was cold and the hamburger bun was stale. The waiter gave us spoons without gloves and gave us a spoon in the part where the guests should eat and all this with dirty hands. cooks in the kitchen don't wear gloves. Definitely do not recommend

We were walking through Harrogate and passed this place , it was disgusting rubbish everywhere the inside was dirty and the floors needed cleaning , the staff were just stood about talking the men were doing nothing at the front serving area while two young girls were rushing round ! I don’t know who or if there is a manager but they need a strict talking to , this place was the sorest iv seen and we have been all over the world . Clean your act up and the street area !!!

When in to get a couple of meals for me and my friend, waited ages for the food but was really has annoyed me, is getting all the way back home to find both of the meals are missing the chips! Really poor service

Coffe tasted like brown water and there was no books in happy meal sets

Just full of teenage kids, cursing, shouting, vaping and not actually buying anything. The staff just don’t get a grip of them and throw them out

Ordered online last week they sent the food without drinks. Went this week by myself they missed a burger after ordering 4 meals. Useless restaurant and deplorable service. People pay to get food not to be skimmed by a bunch of incompetents. Never again.

Such a long wait for food most of the time it’s not worth it, delivery orders seem to get priority with the drivers crowding round the order collection point leaving those who ordered inside waiting 30 minutes for their food usually.

What a joke! I ordered a mcchicken sandwich meal and was given a 99p chicken burger in my uber eats delivery.. An absolute piss take when you take into consideration that I tried to collect my order instead and was refused. My food was cold on arrival and I strongly feel that I was just given anything that resembled chichen as I as a home deliver and would have to do with what was given as it was late. Avoid this mcdonalds delivery!+

They make it extremely difficult to add another patty to the mcplant. Every time, the people taking the order act very confused and bewildered by such a simple task. Meat eaters get double cheeseburgers so why can't vegans/veggies get the same without it being such a hassle? You really should be able to choose to add an extra patty on the order board thing in this day and age. This time when asking for a double, they literally charged us the price of a whole mcplant just for another patty when it's usually a quid which is so dumb. Not impressed

I ordered wrap of the day thinking it would be swift to collect. Quite busy at time of ordering. Ended up not being fast food at all. Took over 20 minutes. The screens never work when busy. System reliant on shouting numbers out and customers hearing....could becso much better. The screens are a failure of mcdonalds success..... Muddle through when busy. I'm going to avoid mcdonalds at all costs. I'd have been better waiting for a table at weatherspoons with table service.

How hard is it to read a KMS screen Orders are 90% wrong the majority of the time. High volume kitchen but piss easy ingredients If you have allergies, lactose inolerance or any other basic dietary requirements, these guys can't read, so don't order.

Absolutely diabolical! Me and my kid went here to get something as we were starving from all the walking we had done until a girl with blonde hair started to play an audio repeatind "Death To America'. I told her to stop but she just proceeded to continue. Do not recommend as the people are rude here.

Place is a joke, not enough staff on, staff more bothered about delivery orders. Delivery drivers barging past people. Took my rewards code but yet again has not gone on. Waited thirty mins for food. Had my son in my arms and wasn’t asked eat in or take out. Given in a bag said I’m eating in no staff offered to help me with my eight month old in my arms. Only four tables downstairs and two wedged behind other two. Floor was disgusting. Supposed to be a family friendly restaurant but slow service, no where barely to sit downstairs for people with pushchairs dirty, no order or queuing system, staff more concerned with outside orders. After thirty min wait finally got my burger cold. Manager needs a bigger shirt aswell really off putting how tight it is puts you off your food

Ate upstairs and most of the tables were filthy. One member of staff sweeping the floor as slow as possible and obviously didn't want to be there. But no attention to wiping tables down for customers. Very grimey and wouldnt go back.

(15/09/2022) Ordered 3 double cheeseburgers along with other sides. We only got one double cheeseburger and 2 single cheeseburgers which were both cold. Also forgot the condiments. Don’t know how they could have got it so wrong when I didn’t have any single cheeseburgers ordered??

Fifth time now been in given code and no reward points added as staff don’t know what they are doing with the code. Also still waiting after three weeks when told up to ten days for a full refund for cold inedible food

Called in here Bank Holiday Monday around 7:45pm. We had decided to eat in, but after seeing dirty tables and spilt food on the floors, we decided to eat in the car. Then . . Quarterpounder with cheese & chips, both Luke warm. My partner had a wrap which was OK, his chips again just luke warm. Would not return or recommend.

As for the restaurant even bigger joke no order all chaotic, guy refused to open disabled toilet for my elderly mum. Constant stream of people going back as items missing. Poor customer service, restaurant dirty, food cold and burgers thrown together, things like straws and napkins not topped up. This is the second McDonalds we have visited recently and I cannot believe the company allow their franchises to be run so poorly nothing short of...

Does the area manager ever visit this store? The staff out number the customers yet they make you wait 15mins for so called fast food you'd get served quicker in a sit down restaurant with less staff! No queue system no receipts from self serve and service board says your order is ready when it isn't. Don't go if you need food in hurry!

We went into McDonald's harrogate on the 17.08.22 at about 14.00 we went upstairs to see if there were any tables free there were about 80% of the tables unoccupied ALL of the tables and I mean ALL of the tables were dirty ketchup bread...

Is this the worst service ever in a McDonald's? Picked up my order at 1:15pm, complained that there were no napkins, ketchup or straws available and pointed out that the McFlurry machine was yet AGAIN not operational!! After I had left the store with my order I sensed that my bag felt a little light. Upon checking, I discovered that this was not my order. Returned to the store and gave the order to member of staff. The contents were checked, the computer then identified the original order number and the bag was passed on the rightful owner who was still waiting for her order. PROBLEM!! How did McDonald's know that I did not in any way interfere with the contents of the bag While I was in the street, prior to the company passing it on for consumption to a 3rd party?

Food is always cold, and if it's hot it's soggy! Dirty atmosphere and there's always someone getting attacked inside or out. Meet up for crackheads and little chavs, unfortunately not a place where you could feel comfortable taking kids anymore.. Too hit or miss Save your time and money and go to a proper restaurant. What a shame!

When I arrived at the restaurant before 7am, there were 10 orders waiting to be processed. No sense of urgency from the staff and drinks were dispensed as soon as the order was in thereby allowing them to go cold by the time the rest of the order was ready. Took over 10 mins to get my order. Definitely need more staff after this demonstration of poor service.

Ice machine must be FCUKED or otherwise because my drinks are warm every time I get one very disappointing!!!!
