McDonald's in Cherwell

McDonalds is Macdonalds, the same wherever you go in the world. But whilst I was there I did notice the staff member who was going above and beyond the norm, a lovely blonde lady, I think she might have been Polish and was aged about 30-35ish. She kept the place immaculate, very efficient in her job, as soon as the table was vacated she jumped on it and tidied things up, she went round the seating area with a spray and generally kept the place spotless. I actually thought at the time what a great employee she would make.

Updated review. This location is consistently busy. The best thing the owner can do is to put up a higher sound barrier wall to relieve the freeway noise that makes it extremely challenging to place an order at the drive-through as neither the McDonald's worker nor the customer can communicate adequately. It never fails to happen repeatedly. The loud freeway traffic creates customers order communication havoc with the drive through speaker box that results in incorrect customer orders, and we, the patrons, have the inconvenience of driving around again to place another order to fix the order error. To receive decent service from the drive-through is hit or miss, depending on the skills of the worker(s) serving during your visit. We got lucky one day when the young female worker at the drive-through (around 4 pm-5 pm) was absolutely brilliant. The horrific loud highway traffic nearby made it impossible to convey our order using the speaker box, so she asked us to drive up to the first window. She provided exceptional customer service by being welcoming, courteous, patient, and helpful, which made our experience better for this particular visit. It was noticeable that the fries were less soggy this time. There's room for improvement to make them crisper. Appreciate the effort for less soggy fries today. Customer service must be consistent (proper CS training and skilled hiring ). Workers need to take the initiative to make modifications that bring customer satisfaction and not be robotic, working with minimal effort just to collect a paycheck. If you're not happy at your job it shows. Move on and open the door of opportunity for someone else who's a genuine people person who smiles and has pride in the quality of work they do at their job in serving the public. Today I went to McDonald’s to get a flint and meal then a homeless guy ran into the restaurant and had diarrhoea all over my flint and meal

Home delivery awful, order usually wrong and food usually cold. Most times we have to return to the store to have orders put right McDonalds very good at apportioning blame to the Uber/JustEat drivers. Avoid!!!! Same for Jarmans and Apsley.

I'm sitting here waiting for my food and the store manager is reprimanding his staff RIGHT BESIDE ME!!!. it's isn't over anything justified either from the sounds of it. He made his point then just kept making it over and over again incredulously expecting what? Who knows? Also the person he's reprimanding is an elderly lady who tries her best to be nice to customers at a McDonald's in a shady part of town. This lady's job is hard enough. Make your point and move on. You're a manager of a McDonald's you are NOT a big shot. Calm down and treat your staff with more respect.

Ordered a breakfast from this place and a few hours after I got home I started being sick, with stomach pain, shivers and very unwell. I believe I got food poisoning as I didn't eat anything else this morning. Bad hygiene, wont be going back again.

Took my 3 kids for breakfast, was very quiet with only a few people in there but service was still extremely slow considering it is meant to be a fast food restaurant

The breakfast muffins are so greasy now, never used to be this bad.

A very clean and pleasant place for a quick family outing. The food was excellent! We've been to McDonald's locations where the food looked like it was made days ago or even half-eaten, but here everything looked fresh and delicious.

I stopped here for breakfast on a work trip recently. Its nice for a McD's, modern. Food was all good and service was quick.

The people working there are really rude I waited 50 minutes for a soda, a fries and a hamburger. They talk too much to each other and do not do their jobs properly. That's why orders are very late. It's like they're making the staff work for free at this restaurant. They all have sullen faces and are unattractive. After waiting 50 minutes for my order, they delivered it and it was cold. So I didn't eat my order and threw it in the trash.

Lovely food. Fast service. And they changed my milkshake as it had chocolate remnants in it.

I mean, it's a McDonalds.. you know what you are getting. Banbury gateway is clean and the staff are friendly and on crown land so officially owned by the king

Staff very nice but extremely substandard good extreme undercooked fries asked for a white coffee but revived a black one instead. They don’t care.

The restaurant was making me wait for more than 1:30 until they sent my order. During this time i tried to contact them just to ask what is going on with my order, as in the app it shows as being prepared. Which means I can not cancel my order, they not prepare it and they don’t even answer for the phone calls. In top of that I received my order soaking wet because the half of my cola was in the bag and not in the cup, the food was already cold and they missed one item, as I ordered 2 pie but r

Courier took over 20 minutes to drive the 5 min journey from restaurant to my house. Watching on the GPS it was clear he made another pickup and delivery en-route, from a different restaurant on the other side of town.

Ordered breakfast here yesterday. When I opened it, the sausage was missing >_< Came back for a second shot to get lunch. Opened it and the slime and sauce / salad I'd asked not to be included was prevalent. Will not be returning >_<

Just eat delivery did just fine but Macdonalds put my order receipt on someone else’s order and we ended up with some cheese nuggets and chicken nuggets. Wasn’t happy. I won’t be ordering from them again as it’s not the first time they have got it wrong

McDonald's in England is very poor, very little is added, practically nothing new. The place is clean and nice.

Driver delivered food that was dripping because he spilt it. He wouldnt let me inspect the bags before giving the code. Dont order from here.

I assume they havent hired somebody to clean the tables? Completely different contrast after coming from Japanese mcdonalds, their receipt machines actually work too!

Used the Drive Thru the other day, got to my destination about 5 mins later, opened my McDonald's bag and found these anaemic chips that looked liked they'd jumped out of the fryer after 10 seconds and straight into the fries box, (see picture) 😳...Polite service was the only thing I could give a second star for, although...it was certainly 'fast food', but probably because the fries weren't cooked fully 😬

1 1/2 hours wait for 2 meals and then it was all cold , very poor.

Awful the courier drove 20 minutes the wrong way to deliver in Brackley before driving 20 minutes back to deliver to me my food is stone cold. No traffic wasn't busy. There is a road closure on the a361 but it doesn't effect Cropredy as it's closed at wardington past my turn. When I spoke to the courier he told me he had to do it in that order as that's what he has to do. I think it's ridiculous. If I'd have known I wouldn't have bothered and gone picked it up myself.

Called in at 04.25 on the 2nd of December 2024. Driving down the motorway I wanted a coffee and a burger to keep me going. Alas all the mice were fast a sleep at the time and even beeping the horn at the ordering machine did not wake anyone up. Went down through the drive through and saw no bodies inside. Must still be in bed a sleep at that time, best try buying food in the day time when they are not a sleep.

Regular McDonald's, wouldn't recommend, but will forever be a cheap and fast option.
