McDonald's in East Staffordshire

Shite. Can't get your order right, nobody answers the phone when you try to call about your messed up order too, it's not that hard to chuck the right food in a bag.

A disappointing experience yesterday here in McDonald's Uttoxeter. Firstly, the car park couldn't handle the traffic, so it took us several minutes queuing and struggling to park. This is often an issue at this McDonald's. The greatest cause of frustration was being told there was a 10p charge for sauces which are usually free (sweet curry sauce/sweet and sour sauce). No explanation was given to my wife why this was the case. When I went to the counter to ask what the reason was, I was told it was because the restaurant was a 'franchise' McDonald's, and the choice to charge for sauces is with the owner of each Franchise. I feel this reflects poorly on the McDonald's brand. There is no clear indication of this charge. The family sat next to us felt the same way and also expressed their surprise and disappointment to the staff here. In addition, my wife's chocolate milkshake wasn't chocolate at all; it was basically plain milk. By this time we'd had our fill of confrontation and decided to leave, but all in all, it was a poor visit.

Wasn't overly busy, everything was freshly made and hot when it arrived. Would visit again if I'm passing in the future.

Cheap and cheerful. McDonald's is what it is.

Great place to have my break during my working day driving across to mansfield and back to the northwest.

Ordered for delivery. Arrived missing an item. Rang the restaurant and was told I need to contact Uber for a refund. No offer to get a replacement to me. Absolutely shocking attitude from whoever answered the phone.

❗❗ I DO NOT RECOMMEND ❗❗ I waited 30 minutes for coffee I reported twice that I had been waiting for a long time The lady ignored me twice I have never encountered such behavior at any McDonald's Very slow working time by the staff

Takeaway ask for a PLAIN BURGER NO RELISH ALSO A CHEESE BURGER ON IT'S OWN I told the lad on the speaker at least three times!! They gave me a McDonalds whopper burger I should have checked but there were lots of cars behind me. It cost me £ 9.17 Why can't they train theses people better. I gave it to the dogs and they just left it, says it all and it was to salty.

As far as mcdonalds go it was decent (my daughters choice to go), got our order correct and food was hot, chips were crispy and the place was clean

Absolutely awful food. Burger was overcooked and shoddily thrown together. Filet o fish was hard and verging on burnt!

Access to and from site difficult and drive through difficult due to cars in car park overhanging drive through

great location on my route home so regularly stop in unfortunately more often than not the toilets don't work/not available which is a massive pain on my 4 hour journey! food as you expect from McDs pretty good, just sort your toilets!

Just the standard mcdonalds experience, easy to park although the car park didnt look very big, easy to order on the touch screens, used the table service option that was fine, the restaurant was clean and tidy.

Had to pull up and wait for a single wrap regardless of what you order you'll be told to pull up and wait every single time and you'll be sat waiting for a minimum of 15minutes😅 longton mcdonalds is the worst in the country by a mile

After placing an order via the app, I went through the drive through. I ordered a full meal with an iced coffee. The your girl on the second window was rude and unhelpful. She seemed to have an attitude problem and the food was just thrown into the box, the chips were put in the bag upside down so they all came out and were all cold. The only good part about the visit was having an iced coffee to complete the journey away from there!!

The fastest breakfast ever in a macdonalds!!!!

I went to get the new Minecraft movie meal and I didint get the toy with iy absolute scam trying to get money out of people unaware of the problem

A good McDonald's the drive thru can get very busy at times and it can be hard to get in and out of the car park when busy. The food has always been good and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It's always clean and the condiments are always full. Sometimes the sun can be very strong if facing the windows and can be hard to find seating at peak times.

I recently attended this McDonald’s via the drive through at around 2am. My good friend Gareth Barton was in the car with me and insisted on listening to Elton John hit “Tiny Dancer” at full volume and on repeat. Despite this the staff were able to successfully hear me place my order, prepare it and then gave it to me in a timely manner. Thanks to their professionalism we were able to “count the headlights on the highway” on the way home while Gareth tucked into his 20 piece chicken McNugget meal.

Literally couldn't park. If it's a busy time of day, I would avoid.

Missing egg in my McMuffin - very pissed off

As two people who rarely go to Maccy D’s, we decided to go through the drive through for a breakfast muffin. We ordered 2 muffins and an orange juice. It wasn’t until we pulled alongside the cashier that I queried the nearly £10 price when I’d seen a meal deal advertised for £2.99 each. Luckily the cashier changed our order and added an extra orange juice and we saved nearly £4! So why didn’t the person taking our order tell us this??

Very clean! Bathrooms have been kept up well and so has the rest of the building. A lady was cleaning everything the entire time we were there. I’d be happy to come again with my family to this location.

The friendliest McDonald's we have ever been to by miles!! Never done a review of a McDonald's before but felt we had to after being greeted and served by two very happy, charismatic gentleman just now. My husband said we had to do a review. We were actually just travelling through and don't live locally, which is a shame. Thank you very much 😊 - food was also lovely

As my older wife is currently bed bound through bunions I had to carry out this journey solo and the highway took through Uttoxeter . The day was somewhat dank and grey and I thought a small MacD would add some sunshine ☀️ Contrary to previous reviews, a staff member emptying a bin did smile so there is hope that this pattern has now been addressed. Trying to balance the need for fast sustenance with bodily health , I sought a small burger . By description it should contain lettuce ,but as god is my witness ,(and photo evidence asserts) the vital veg was absent without leaves(AWOL ) if you will ! It is also very sad to see parents eating while the children are on iPads with headphones on. It is vital for development of youngsters that they engage with their families. This is not McDonald’s fault but a larger societal issue. me

Good branch with lovely staff! The kids loved their meal that was good. Great atmosphere and all the tablets were working which is always a plus 😁

Only go for the chicken nuggets for the grandkids, decor bland, staff pleasant.

Unfortunately out of stock when we ordered off the app, but when we went inside. They had it all. Staff where nice, and I don't know how, but the chocolate milkshake always taste like banana.

Great if you are travelling on the A50. Can be a little busy and messy ... but at the end of the day .. it's a McDonald's... all the usual features... still the same... and they charge mfor cartons of urry sauce 🤨

Great mid journey place to stop for breakfast

Staff seem oblivious to customer service offering little if any welcome Tea was cold and staff observed making food without gloves and affectively throwing food on delivery tray

Ticked all the boxes you would hope for at a McDonalds. Clean, quick service and food was delivered hot and in a timely manner. Order correct first time.

Toilets were closed, no indoor tables, sat outside in the cold, needing a wee. Chips weren't great but the fillet o fish saved the whole experience.

Classic McDonald's experience and food in a convenient location. Parking is crowded on a Saturday morning.

If you are looking for good food, drive on by. If you want to add to the sum of human obesity, there is plenty on the menu to choose from.

Pretty much guaranteed to get your order wrong. Ask for sauces on the drive through. Expect none, true story.

The food is lovely but the staff were miserable. Plonked the food down and ran away. Also the only McDonalds I know to charge for sauce when I’ve bought a whole meal.

Went to the drive through with the nephew

I stopped off around 9 in the evening, but despite being 24hrs, the inside seating was closed. I was told by the staff that I could sit outside, which would have been nice, if it wasn't January, and -3°C.

Awful, double burger had one gurkin and 3 tiny bits of onion, it looked like they'd been playing keep ups with it across the kitchen ⚽️ absolutely battered! Chicken burger fillet had been butterflied several times and rolled out and looked like an inner sole from an old leather shoe from a charity shop. Chips were anaemic no flavour. Worst McDonald's I've ever had.

Always pleasant service and staff smile when serving you. Food is often luke warm or cooled and occasionally assembled with a "no shits given" attitude as seen by my bigmac burger bun without a burger, salad or sauce just bread on bread. Awesome

Small McD restaurant on the busy A50. Convenient stop for food, fuel and toilets in both fuel station and McDs. The car park is very small for the amount of users. Food is standard, service is standard and small restaurant makes it feel very busy. Convenience is the word for thus place.

Quick service, pleasant staff and freshly cooked food

Service incredibly slow, team didn't seem bothered at all, my burger was sat under a hot lamp for almost ten minutes, chips had not a lick of salt. Whilst I was waiting an eternity for my food I stood a few metres from the counter and enjoyed listening to the team shouting and swearing. Probably won't be coming back but thanks for the cold food!

Got here 04:52 and was told we are not cooking at the moment because we change our @ 5 to breakfast not good customer service 😒

Drive through very busy so parked up and went in. Ordered from screen. Easy to do. Didn't have to wait long despite clearly also serving the drive through. Hot food and correct sauces/dips as ordered.

Very clean and tidy store. Staff great. Food wasn't too hot though.

The restaurant was nice and quite clean, service was a bit slow, more concerned with online orders, got our order a bit wrong, but corrected it when asked

Had some wrap and fries. To be frank, the fries were not to McDonald's quality. Taste and texture were below average. Cheesy bites were just warm with rancid oil flavour. Wrap was perfect. Management needs to look into that. Prompt Supervision is very important for the good running of business.

Floor was slippery in the toilets, like they used grease instead of cleaner, the music was loud and horrid, but david was nice

If they took more care and got more right first time, then service would have been so much quicker. Car park is a bit crazy. Restaurant was clean and counter staff friendly.

You can't order inside through the night anymore which is inconvenient if you have a big vehicle and your on nights.we tried the £5 meal saver and the food was rubbish had no taste to it at all the best thing was the fries were hot for once but would not go again and would not order that particular meal deal very disappointed ☹️😞

And no parking here either. Uttoxeter is really bad for services.

Lovely hot chocolate served by helpful staff. Was clean and tidy. Staff who take a pride in their store. I chose a table with the usb connector and air charger. Again a really nice option

Cold food cold restaurant ,and very miserable staff

This McDonald’s is really good, I’ve been several times now and I’ve seen Crew Trainer Chloe quite a lot! Every single time she is very polite and smiley.

If I could leave a 1 star I absolutely would. I ordered a McRib and there were next to NO onions and No sauce. Don’t even get me started on SAUCE! Every McDonalds that I have been to I have NEVER had to pay for sauce (except the 50p pots) the fact a restaurant wants you to eat food DRY is beyond me. To follow this up the lad on the window was about as useful as a chocolate fire guard with an attitude and service about as sh*t as the available parking. To top this all off we ordered a triple cheeseburger WHICH WAS LABELLED and still only given a double. Money grabbing as well as poor attitude from staff….should go back into training. :)

No monopoly stickers with fries, despite the fact that the promotion was still in operation. Scandalous. Its a scam.

Standard McDonald's, quick and efficient service. Busy and loud because of low ceilings when crowded.

Mcdonalds was great Var Park so small and multiple exits with cars unable to get in and out adjacent to petrol station- very dangerous layout

Stopped going here as they never got my drive thru order right. Begrudgingly dropped in here again, and surprise surprise, the fries were missed out, so nothing has changed since my last visit a year ago. Carpark is always too busy to find a spot and walk in and complain. Suggest you avoid, or double check all the bags before you drive off (which is difficult for big orders)

Probably one of the worst places I have visited, just off "McDonald's Roundabout" with a horrible layout to enter and exit the car park, Staff at the drive thru struggled to take a basic order, and upon reaching the final booth for the food they attempted to pass us drinks which were not on our order, then was informed that even though we had ordered meals we had to pay 10p per sauce, at no point is this advertised, and upon us asking to purchase the sauces staff were not happy at this due to them not having a till at the booth even though we paid cash. Food was warm, Car park is tiny for the amount of visitors they get along this main route. Would not visit again, if you are desperate for food I suggest the garage next door.

You know the story, average food not cheap but convenient when you on the move, car parking here is an absolute nightmare

We only received one of two burgers paid for, very frustrating as we didn't see this until back on the A50.

No menu on drive through. OK I'm not 18 & don't eat from there on an evening usually like the yoof but a restaurant with NO MENU.
