McDonald's in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I was staying at the nearby Premier Inn when I ordered food from here via the McDonald’s app for collection. As I wasn’t in a vehicle and the place was shut for walk inns it took an age to collect my food as they said they would only bring it to the click and collect bay if I was in a vehicle. Madness. Finally agreed to place my order on an outside table which they had to walk past to get to the click and collect bays. Shouldn’t have bothered. Food was awful and cold.

Great service 24/7 and despite the limited menu, everything is served fast and with a smile. The drive through as been chaotic of late, but the wait is relatively short. I do agree with the other reviewer. The new screens that don't show what you are ordering until you have ordered are in the wrong place and not helpful for customers.

Never been so upset with this specific McDonald’s. They’ve moved the monitor on the drive though so you can no longer see how much you’ve spent until you go to pay, whereas I would buy more if it’s in my budget. Asked for extra dips (there’s 5 of us in the car) and we were given one dip! Wouldn’t be so upset but now I have my kids having ago at me because they now won’t eat their chips. And now I’ve started eating my wrap and there’s a dead bug cooked into the chicken. Lockdown has turned Kingsley McDonald’s into Newquay McDonald’s. That’s the worst news to get.

Why have you stopped doing Vegi food My wife works shifts and if she finishes late she would call and pick up a meal now she Can't as no vegi options are on the menu I am ok as I eat meat

What can you say, it is a McDonalds. The drive through was busy so we decided to go inside and order our food. It is quite small and it took a while for the food to be ready. The food is what you would expect from McDonalds. I am not a fan but the kids are. It was ok as you know what to expect. Ok for a quick lunch. It is on the outskirt of Newquay next to Aldi and Morrisons.

Went (as a family of 4) to eat in and utilise the gov 50% off with 2 children, it was as expected busy with queues for a table. However they were incredibly proficient, really lovely and helpful and the wait was very short. Staff were ensuring everyone was kept safe from covid with excellent protocols and safety measures in place. Despite being very busy they were all friendly & relaxed, nothing was too much hassle & they were incredibly helpful & seemed happy to be there. This is a massive marked difference to a visit a few weeks back to the drive through in Truro. Despite being busy, the wait for food was very short and the food was fresh and hot. This is our first visit to an indoor"sit in" since the Covid pandemic and we were slightly anxious - no need to be, we were not only in excellent hands, but the staff were amazing & made us feel both safe & welcome - thank you & Well done to the entire team.

I'm diabetic and fancied a cold drink from mcdonalds in fraddon. I ordered a coke Zero for the obvious fact it has no sugar. I was given a normal full sugar coke. Not very impressed because something like that can impact massively on a diabetic customer. Luckily I noticed straight away and got it changed. However if someone didn't realise this could really pose a threat so someone's health. What if this happened to someone with allergies?

Nothing special here exactly same as all otherwise mcdonalds but much quiter and so faster service due to its location.

Fast food at its best lol , 11.30 at night on the A30 ideal !!! , you know what to expect before you go in the door , digital boards are quite easy to use , food is quite quick.

It was hot and warm coffee was nice as it was a toffee latte. It is what it is. For a McDonald’s breakfast it was good.

Just popped into the restaurant and had 2 meal deals. Although very busy the staff were working extremely hard. The food was fresh and hot.

As always, the 'brand standard' is being upheld here. Good, quick , service.open 24hr which is handy for a weiry traveler or a drunk stop off!

My husband and I took our grandaughter here at her request as it's one of her favourite places.We found the service and staff to be excellent .

Orders 2 doubles and a wrap which in my mind was not the most extravagant complex order.Window staff were polite and told us to park up so we did. After 15 minutes passed and no sign of food I went inside to see what was going on as many other people had parked up and received their food. The manager was more interested in filling in a form & the staff seemed to be clueless as to what I was asking them. I finally got told it wasn’t ready yet.Another 5 minutes passed and my wife went in only to be told they’d given our order to another car?! Is there not some sort of procedure when handing over a bag of food like “is this your order?”My wife cancelled the order. Thanks McDonald’s for wasting half an hour of my life and making a long journey back up north that little bit longer and stressful.Left hungry and peeved. Won’t be returning ever.

Visited on way home from Cornwall. Restaurant was very busy. Toilets clean but very small. Car park was packed. Still pleased with our visit.

Visited today for breakfast whist travelling. Easy parking, the restaurant was gleaming, the staff were all really polite and helpful and our breakfast wraps were hot and tasty. Just what we needed. Thank you

I had the chicken selects. Unfortunately the last one was undercooked so I took it back. Staff were brilliant and replaced it with no fuss.

As far as roadside McDonald's venues go this is a really good operation. We called in after a bad experience at another American based burger franchise, and this was a world of difference.

Called in about 9pm for a couple of Bic Macs and fries. One of the Big Macs was fine but the other was like it had been dropped in water - just a soggy goo that could not support its own weight let alone the fillings. Pity we were 4 miles down the dual carriageway when we realized otherwise it would have been taken back. So ended up paying over £10.00 for 1 Big Mac, 2 cokes and 2 fries. Used to visit this Macdonalds at least once a week but will not be ever eating from there again.

Staff are always super friendly! I doubt they get much thanks but its well deserved. Thanks guys! .....

We called through the drive through for breakfast last month, one of the milk drinks given was missing the lid and some of its contents! Again didn't realise until we were on the dual carriage way heading in the opposite direction! This time we checked our food which was all complete but didn't think to check drinks. Very poor

We hadn't stopped here before and were pleasantly surprised. It wasn't very busy and very clean at 6.45 on a weekday. We soon worked out their ordering system and that worked very well. Our food arrived quite quickly with nice friendly service - you can opt to have it delivered to your table. The chips were nice, but the cheeseburgers perhaps a bit boring. We do love their apple pies though!

One thing about McDonalds is that it is consistent, irrespective of which branch you eat at. The automated ordering system (which I used for the first time) is also a better way of getting your order processed. I had coffee and the Sausage and Egg McMuffin Meal, which is always good (imho). Parking here is also pretty good, and it also has a drive through option.

I stayed at the premier inn which was less than 5 mins walk away. Very convenient when traveling with young children. McDonald’s was busy as it is on the main road through Cornwall but we were served quickly in a clean environment and enjoyed freshly prepared food.

Wrong order, missed food. What came out was cold. Cheese bites were so old they had gone hard. No sauce in the wrap. Awful even for a McDonald's.

Good place to stop before you meet all the traffic jams going on the St Ives area. Usual Macs quick service at the table now with the new order via machines.

Stopped here for coffee whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn and I felt I had to write to say what good and friendly service I had. The gentleman serving was extremely pleasant and efficient.

We have been before and found a great service and food , sadly not the same two days ago . We had taken my daughter and our ten year old grandson for tea as a treat and travelled about 24 miles to get there . It was around 4.30ish on Friday afternoon when we arrived , not too busy at the time . We placed orders and waited , collected and went to sit outside in a shady spot . We had ordered one childs Happy Meal , and three adult drinks , one Coke and two coffees , but unfortunately , we realised half way through the meal that we had been given three Cokes and by now, it was extremely busy and frankly , we couldn't face going back in to ask for them to be changed so I guess this was our fault for saying nothing . However , the chicken strips that the three adults had ordered were dry and tough . We had enjoyed these before at the McDonalds at nearby Victoria and they were lovely, soft and tender, but these were awful , tasted like they had been reheated . The fries were lukewarm too , and yes, we should have gone back in to complain , but we are in our 70`s and there was a queue by this time . I doubt we will return , Victoria services is so much better, shame .

Food was hot and very nice but forgot the sauces that come with the selects meal. No ketchup in happy meal either.

Quick and efficient service good hot food with great hot chocolate,dropped in late at night several times and really pleased with service.

Mostly use the drive thru but this runs smoothly with no hold ups or incorrect orders. Never too busy and 24hrs. Being in the service area for the A30 southbound it's also very convenient.

Food always good here. Staff always friendly. Clean and tidy. Love the milkshakes and our girls love the ice creams that they do. Has a drive through. Plenty of parking open 24 hours. Worth a visit.

What place doesn't serve tap water.... HERE! And then refused to give tap water when we took the pink 'tap water' back!! Not ok

Was stood for 15 minutes waiting whilst the girl that was serving me went and did a different job. Was not impressed. The mcdonalds its self was dated.

I visited your premises today with my family & friends. I haven't been for many years. I was treated with such courtesy by a very helpful member of your staff Robert. He first helped me with my order using the new & impressive big tablets. Which were so user friendly my young children were able to order what they wanted to. The kids Sat and we're entertained by the tablets on the tables & enjoyed playing the games. Robert soon appeared again with balloons!! I watched as he bought smiles to so many of the children's faces, making an array of ballon animals & ensuring no one was left out! He even fixed the ones that popped to ensure there were not tears for long. What a pleasure it was to see such fab changes in your establishment and staff. It felt like a real treat for us all visiting today. The children later talked so happily to their father about their experience today. Thank you SO much Robert & team. The food was very tasty to!! :) Very happy mummy.

I have always found this McDonald's to be clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The coffee here is on a par with most coffee houses and at a fraction of the cost. Keep up the good work.

Travelling home in warm conditions we decided to call through the drive through to purchase some cold drinks. We ordered 4 milkshakes, one of each flavour. Drive through service time was good, staff who served us were pleasant. Handed our drinks, whilst my partner started to drive i put the straws in. Lastly come to my drink which was supposed to be a strawberry milkshake, usually thick in consistency which the other shakes were instead it was strawberry syrup with a tiny bit of shake mix and it was warm. By this point we were heading in the opposite direction on the dual carriageway. Value for money compared with service stations McDonald's is spot on price wise but i do think staff should pay a little more attention to the products they are handing out.

This McDonald's is pretty good. The staff are always pleasant, but for some reason our order is regularly correct. Kids like it here and the new iPad's are a good addition to keep the young ones occupied. Also, after the refit they now do table dining where they bring it out to you.

Every time I go through the drive through the food you get is stone cold, got fed up of complaining, will never go again! Sort yourselves out as this is rubbish!

Nice place with happy staff and screen ordering system. Lovely to be able to count on consistent taste and fair value.

We enjoyed a break from our journey at this busy fast food restaurant, but thought the service was a liitle slow. The restaurant has been refurbished and seemed quite smart. Parking spaces were quite narrow so take care parking!
