McDonald's in Southampton

Can not do simple things right, such a shame. Been stitched up by this store so many times my rage has caused me to destroy my entire order and vow to never ever eat from any of your establishments again.

Ordered via Uber Eats, fries old and cold, and completely wrong order delivered.

I went through drive-thru today to order my favourite mc plant allways nice but on this visit wasn't so great my burger 🍔 had no salad it was overloaded with ketchup no onions no pickles 😔 very disappointed I did call but no answer never mind might be ok for next time I will double check when I go there again 😀

An early morning trip to Southampton so needed breakfast and MacD’s delivered. Beautifully clean, Friedan’s super quick service. There was a man jet washing all the tables and chairs and floors. Also really easy parking in the car park at the back.

Foods always cold when ordering for delivery, 90% of the time missing food which is the restaurants fault. When ordering food at the restaurant the food is either super hot and lovely or complete opposite, there is no consistency.

Absolutely dissatisfied, i have gotten food poisoning from the food here before but ever since there have been some rather extreme mix ups. Just today i had ordered a mcspicy meal and cheeseburger meal and i opened the mcspicy box just to find a cheeseburger. I rang up and got greeted by adam. I told him my complaint and left me in silence for 1 minutes and a half before hanging up. This is NOT okay sort it out.

Coca-Cola taste is absolutely disgusting..it taste like cheap cheap cheap coke. Not even unbranded coke tastes this bad. The quality of food of this establishment has gone downhill.

Visited on the 27/7/24 at 10:30pm. Ordered a chicken sharebox and was short-changed. Received only 3 chicken selects when it’s supposed to be 6, received 10 McNuggets instead of 12. Dips that I ordered are missing, but the dips that I did not order was given. Avoid if you can or check your order before you leave.

It's à very nice McDonald's. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Will be going again because is so nice in there. Very clean and tidy.

Ordered a Mcplant... Requested they add big Mac sauce but apparently this is illegal! Waited over 10 minutes for them to make it! When I did get the Burger... It was very nice.

Honestly never been to any other McDonald’s with such incapable staff. Ordered a double quarter pounder and received a double cheeseburger, also the hatrick burger had 2 patties instead of 3. Think they’re all stoned in there to be honest

i ordered the burgers and take it away from store two veggie with meals and one single veggie burger but they give beef burgers. they have no sense and don’t check my wife is full vegetarian what is this please never order from here.

Absolute horrendous place. Needs management that can actually take control. Missed food off my order, lack of customer service. I get that it was busy, but not one staff member looked interested at all. Left an older gentleman waiting for over 45mins for his order, other people's food was cold.

My kids really like it in here. You have parking and several shops around. The site is spacious and clean.

It's easy to get fast food on the way to work locally.

When ordering multiple items for delivery they tend to “forget” one more time than not which is very annoying and sometimes you can’t even get a refund for the missing items and they never get the missing items delivered so if you still want it you have to fork over the delivery fee again

Food was absolutely shocking, went through the drive through and ordered a sweet chilli wrap with no mayo. After waiting 5 minutes for the staff member to take my payment at the window, All I got was 2 bits of chicken in the box for the wrap, no bread, lettuce or anything else. Went back to get the order fixed and all they did was just shove the rest of the ingredients on top of the chicken in the box. Had to take it home and basically build the wrap myself. Absolutely shocking behaviour from the instore team. Wont be going back again.

The McDonald's restaurant has really improved since my last visit. My partner's Big Mac came with all the requested extras and was constructed very well. The Double Quarter Pounder was one of, if not the best, I've had from all the McDonald's I've been to so far. The restaurant is clean, but the bathroom could be cleaner. However, they no longer resemble a music festival porta-loo. The staff are friendly and helpful, serving all customers with a smile.

Can get quite busy, I'd recommend parking outside and ordering on the machines rather than waiting in the drive thru as it's much quicker to be served in store.

Had our food delivered half of my food was missing (not the first time) our food was stale and cold this place has gone down hill will not be ordering again

You should try the McRoach, it's the crunchiest burger in town. This branch should get an award. For the worst McDonald's in the UK.

Been sat in drive thru for more than half an hour and still delivery uber coming out with big bags large orders i think they should warn people if its gonna take so long or just close drive thru if they cannot accommodate.. not sure if we will be coming back here again its an absolute piss take

Beware! Used the drive through in the evening, ordered a chicken select happy meal. When we got home and opened it there was no chicken just chips. Don't trust them, check your order before leaving!!

Frustration on the no milk shake....yet again

Forget everything. All the time, always cancelling orders. Manager couldn't manage his way out of a 1 exit building. Worst McDonald's in Southampton. How this place still operates is beyond me.

Staff are always stressed or being overwhelmed. Managers are rude so staff members lack motivation. Messes up orders continuously or always having issues with cold fries and burgers! Will ignore your request to remove bacon/pork. Hard to get responses and updates from staff for the most basic orders, Will most likely forget or mess up your order! And the restaurant itself, toilets always filthy with a visit from the neighbourhood smackhead every other day. And DONT LEAVE YOUR BIKE OUTSIDE! High chance an opportunist will try steal your bike. Avoid coming here in the evenings because your food will take way more than needed to be fulfilled. In fact, just avoid this Macdonalds!

I am now an old man who has a bladder that has shrunk to an abysmally small, almost pathetic capacity. After dropping my 19 year old at the Driving Test Centre for her Theory Test (she passed!) I was desperate for the loo. I am also old school and will not use the convenience without buying something as well. Being the user of a walking stick I found that the standard wc was a little cramped so asked one of their staff to open the disabled toilet for me. I was fortunate enough to encounter Paul, a more mature member of staff who I think is probably the most polite gentleman I have ever met. He duly unlocked the toilet for me and even made sure I knew how to lock it (just lift the handle). Afterwards I went and ordered "old faithful " a large chocolate milkshake and sat down to enjoy it, along with the berry muffin that I ordered "in error"!? (how did that get there?). Afterwards whilst trying to juggle tray, stick and jacket, was assisted by Paul yet again. I thanked him for his assistance. If only all service sector staff could be as polite and friendly as Paul! A credit to himself and McDonald's.

Absolutely appalling service on Uber from the night manager constantly being rude and no help at all I will be writing up a massive complaint on her when I get opportunity to absolutely disgusting raising voice while holding my newborn

Food, if it's right has often got a chucked together look. Although they have people cleaning, tables and floors often have scraps from the previous guests on them. Not very easy to maneuver in a wheelchair or with a pushchair, especially when it's busy. Polite staff though.

I can't say I've ever had Lebanese cuisine before, after visiting Beity it won't be the last time though! We were invited to try some of the menu and here's what we got... Between us we ordered the Hoummos, Soujok and Fatayer Sabanekh. I'm not a Hoummos fan but this was really nice and I'd order it again. The soujok is a spicy lamb sausage served in a tomato and garlic sauce, this dish was great and paired well with the bread and hoummos! Fatayer Sabanekh are little parcels filled with a mix of spinach, onion and lemon which were really nice! For mains we had a Shish Taouk (chicken breast) and some King Prawns. The chargrilled chicken was great, I'm a real sucker for flame grilled meats! The prawns were equally as nice! Finally the drinks, we ordered a lemonade and a mojito. The mojito had that classic mojito flavour but the homemade lemonade stole the show. Fresh and packed with mint and delicious flavour made it really light and refreshing! Give Beity a go if you'd like to try some Lebanese cooking at some point!

Missing alot of items , and they didn't answer the pone i called till they close , 20 cals , i spend a lot of money there , and they proudly mass with my order 😒 in the end of the day THEY ARE PAYD BY HOUR

Worst McDonald's around , everytime I go through the drive through, they forget stuff .. worst of all the toy in my daughters happy meal, a child's disappointment is a hard thing to deal with. staff are constantly chatting with people and making customers wait. C'mon mcdonalds sort your staff out. Your putting burgers and toys in boxes not building rockets.

Ordered McDelivery, half my order was missing. Not the first time this has happened. Both times I've been unable to contact the store, the line is always busy. Contacted UberEats instead, they issued a refund only for the missing items which could take up to 15 days. Still don't have the missing food... This particular chain seem to be terrible with issuing correct orders and dealing with customer issues (can't even get hold of them)

Just opened on Sunday morning to find every table dirty. Food dry even coffee Luke warm. Got a refund on breakfast bap won't be returning

Genuine, excellent customer service … after an ‘impatient’ drive through customer pushed infront of me and then paid for the wrong meal, Courtney immediately sorted out the confusion. i’ve had countless issues with this branch from 2 hour long wait times for food to the manager being incredibly rude over the phone, they have never sent an order correct and today I received somebody else’s entire order

we ordered and had 2 codes on my phone. One was a free code and the other one was taken from my points. The guy at the window asked me to rescan my points code after the points had already been taken !! We ordered a Big Mac , nuggets and large chips We went to collect our food and we were asked to park up. For 3 items !!!!! We park up and get the food, however the chips were not in there so back round we go for the second time. We finally managed to get the food we ordered and sat in the car park to eat it and we open the Big Mac box to find a crunchie bite wrapped in the Big Mac!!!!!! This was taken from the bag onto my lap and opened so there is no way this came from me !! We go to complain for the manager to turn around and say oh okay I’ll get you a new one. !!! This is not good enough !!!!! Absolutely terrible in fact!!!

I 1 stared this because of the fact that despite it saying on a sign in front it is in fact not 24 hour drive through and they are incapable of understanding an order you ask for something to be removed or add something and they'll get it wrong. But to be honest I'm not a huge fan of mcdonald's anyway the only thing I like from there when sober is the nuggets everything else just tastes like eating cardboard.

I'm not a big fan of McDonald's however some children are huge fans of it. Food on the floor,poor staff and a bad atmosphere.

Honestly, I usually avoid like the plague. I hate going in because it's usually cramped and messy so usually use the drive-thru or Uber Eats but it's really that bad here that I won't even purchase through the delivery sites for this branch any more. My partner however is an idiot who always picks this branch when making orders online. I can see in 10 years that nothing has changed. Every single order without fail is wrong. Even just this moment I've had a "Big Cheesy" delivered from this branch and there was NO bloody CHEESE in my "BIG CHEEEEEEESY". It's the main component to the burger! It's in the freaking name! If you want a branch with better service I suggest trying Green Park branch. They get my order wrong once in a blue moon and the staff are always really polite and friendly. Anyway, don't waste your time at this branch, it's always been this way and always will be. The staff may change but clearly the standard don't.

Ordered food at 12 today from shirly mcdonalds didn't turn up till 3:00 and what made it worse was the food was cold and the items were not all in there very angry should be shut down.

Went here today to use the rewards app after placing order and paying the manager told me the payment didn’t go through, it clearly did cause the money come out my bank and I showed this to her, she was very rude looked like a crackhead and looked very dirty, McDonald’s would give anyone a managers job these days, won’t be going here again,

I used the drive-through service the other day. They got my order 100% correct, which was nice, and the chat at window 2 with the member of staff while waiting for my order was great. She fell in love with my dog, arrrr I asked if I gave you my number to arrange a date, would you accept, and she said yes. Tonight we went on that date, it was fantastic. We are seeing each other on Saturday. Brilliant! Who said romance is dead?

what a joke 6 cars coming through drive through and each one of them sent to wait in car park for someone to bring food, been waiting 10min so far and still no food, I see not that many people inside. I been in many McDonalds, in UK as well as across Europe and this is the only one that can not cope with not that busy shift. I use McDonald not for its high food quality or healthy aspects of it I use it for efficient and quick service as well as consistency in that service. This one needs better management

In McDonald's, no one is responsible they are not going to care about any delivery drivers and no one is in the packing of every delivery which will delay 30mins This is the 5th time it happened to me on the screen only one order. Thanks McDonald

Food was great as always, staff members need to start wearing gloves before touching peoples food though. However building hygiene definitely needs to be sorted out, flies going around the place like nothing, some fly catchers atleast would be an improvement. Staff need to be more disciplined on their customers, saw a group of 3 lads smoking their vapes inside the building whilst there are kids and other people around them trying to eat and they were also noticed trying to sell drugs to people within the premises when there was clear as day 2 police officers in the building. And service could do with a bit of an improvement aswell, definitely take their time preparing orders.

Cannot comment on the atmosphere as we ordered through the drive thru. Ordered food and got back to our hotel to see not one but both meals with a strand of hair in them. The burger bap was also over toasted and the fries were undercooked, complained to the management who has offered us free food and desserts but I don’t know how I feel about going back to get them.

I ordered my food online, to be collected via the drive through. I was greeted by a gentlemen who confirmed my order (which I had pre confirmation that it had gone through), so I was then told to go to the last window. When I arrived at the last window, a lady called Ruth instantly and aggressively told me that I shouldn’t have gone to said window without confirming my payment had gone through. I had explained that I ordered online and it went through. She then picked up a tray of food, whilst shouting at me for not confirming what was I had already done. I then said “sorry that isn’t my order” to which she aggressively said “yes I know that!”. I then had to witness the way she speaks to her co workers, which was very uncomfortable to watch. I recommend some customer service training for Ruth.

Useless wasn’t told there wasn’t any chocolate milkshakes. Was tried to b given strawberry milkshakes which we didn’t want. I was asked what I wanted I asked for a large coke and a milk and they couldn’t get that that right

If your hunger can’t wait, Then McDonald is the place. Nice, clear place, Staff is very efficient. Because of too many costumers atmosphere is a bit busier all around.

We are a couple of oldies who decided on a treat. We asked for two cheese quarter pounders on their own and two shakes. We’re told no shakes today. No other choice was offered. We requested no pickles and joined a slow moving queue. Eventually we got to pay and we paid in cash £8.70. Another slow queue. Got the food, found parking space and opened to find two less than fresh buns covering a Luke warm burger with tasteless slice of cheese. I should have gone back to complain but the restaurant was crowded with children very excited and a bit too noisy for me. This is sad, we went for a treat,we remember much better food, better service. What has happened to McDonalds. Before covid it was our Sunday morning breakfast regular.Do you not want oldies anymore, we will never know as we will be unlikely to try again. This was the Shirley branch in Southampton. I have no wish to receive a standard voucher to recompense this sorry saga as I will not be trying a treat at McDonalds again

Upsetting experience as our order took too long and was not of good quality with configuration errors and issues with the temperature of the food.

Went to this McDonald's, the staff are friendly and helpful, one part of my meal was under standard, once informed the staff quickly rectified the issue without hesitation or question, thanks to this Branch, my food was great 👍

The toilets were filthy and looked Uncleaned for at least couple of days. Too see that in the morning was unpleasant and I just hope the kitchen was not in the same shape.

'Fast food' that takes a suspiciously long time unless you're a delivery driver. I also got severaly undercooked fries that were pale yellow and hard in the middle (despite how long I waited), like how can you mess up fries so badly?

I used to buy every Wednesday from Shirley McDonald's. This is the second time when I'm home with missing food on take away. I was waiting over 15 minutes for less food than was paid. I will definitely not buy from there. 😡

The food's alright, the service is good, and the place is clean. However, it's too close to the school. There's always a crowd of people after classes, and it gets pretty chaotic.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You will not get your food. Do not order from this restaurant for pickup or delivery. They will not give you the correct order. Out of 30+ orders from this place over the years they have given me the correct order 3 times only. I counted. Go to any other McDonald's in this town, I don't know how this one is still in business with their complete and total lack of basic order checking abilities.
