Actually made me ill 0/5 never go here- I should have gone to kfc or Burger King- fries were cold and bland- no salt- no ice for drinks

Worst vaccines we have ever been to nowhere to sit the place was filthy and no coffee at all. I would rather go hungry than go in here again

20 piece chicken nuggets were ok but a little bit cold Chips were quite questionable but my coke was very nice because it just hits different at McDonalds

It’s very yummy and delicious though they could improve their salads and replace fires with really crispy chips but their chicken nuggets are amazing and tasty.

McDonald’s is what it is, late night food. Usual teenage pikey kids hanging around, dragged up and an absolute embarrassment - I must pay a huge compliment to a young gentleman Bobby, he dealt with them politely and cleaned up after them, if anyone deserves a promotion at Exeter McDonald’s it’s Bobby, at his age he shouldn’t have to deal with scum like that - McDonald’s you need to need to look after your staff and keep them safe!

Pretty banging, loved the chicken selects but chips a bit cold. This apparently has to be 100 characters so I’m just gonna waffle

Awful maccies ordered big mac meal was given a box and was told as they were closing nothing could be done, stupid stupid workers, not a gcse in sight. Think my ironing board has a higher iq than those workers.

Very Busy so slower service than normal expected.Chap who served us very pleasant but the food was cold!!!!!!! Surely a few more minutes in the microwave might have helped?.Couldn't complain as there were so many people there.Cold cheeseburger and fries was not exactly what we were used to. so won't be going back.

Terrible service. They refused to give me water so I had to go back with some eggs to show them who’s boss but at the end of all that, they refused to give me some water. I even did some spotless cleaning for them but was still refused service. This really hurt my feelings so do better next time xx

Very busy restaurant. Condiments area was decimated, with no sauces, sugar, serviettes at all. Also there is only one of these in the restaurant. Food was good, but experience was not brilliant.

This was terrible. my mcflurry was filled half way, my chips were cold and my medium oasis had no monopoly sticker and to top it all of there was no salt in the entire restaurant. Absolute horror.

30th June Marsh Barton - When I went to go get my dinner they asked us of we could wait so we did and the employee was walking to every car with different bags of food during this time they never came to my car when I had gone up to the window to ask about my order they had no idea what I was going on about so they had wrote down our order again then twenty minutes later added on to the 40 minutes I had already been there they brought us our order and it was still wrong so we went to the window to mention that and 10 minutes longer the food had gone cold and the cups had started disintegrating they brought out the burger and it was still wrong. We got home and half of our chips were almost raw, the burgers were cold and one of the chicken burgers tasted raw.

Firstly, we waited 20 minutes through the drive thru to even get our small order. The staff left us waiting at the cashier window. They finally opened the door and asked ‘have you paid?’ we had already paid a while ago.. she then came back to the cashier window and said ‘you’re food is ready just wait for the car to move’ after five minutes our order finally arrived. My order was a quarter pounder meal and two hash browns. When we received our food it was cold. We asked how long the chips were sitting there and the worker replied with ‘I don’t know I don’t make chips’… so helpful thanks. We then asked for some fresh warm chips, they gave us some and we drove off. Only then realising one of the hash browns was smeared across the burger packaging in pieces, making it unable to eat. The burger wasn’t assembled properly making extremely difficult to eat, therefore, dropping onions onto my car! I’m appalled, this is the worst maccas i’ve ever gone too!

Awful customer service - problems started when card machine disconnected itself from ordered screen so had to go to till, wait in queue and pay there. Then food arrived.. 1) fries scattered off the paper and all over the tray so requested new lot of fries as trays not cleaned 2) asked for milk for my tea- apparently no milk sachets in the place, asked what I should put in my tea was met with shrug of shoulders and a laugh - staff couldn't care - eventually manager intervened and I was given a bottle of milk (normally in the happy meals) - honestly if they haven't got sachets at least offer people milk from a bottle 3) companion then took sip of coffee which was cold - returned it and was given a large very hot one in its place with apologies (well done to that member of staff) have been to this McD's before and it has been fine but it was not up to par today - not sure if I'll bother again.

This is the fourth time I’ve been at the high street Exeter McDonald’s And there is never Thick shakes (excuse is machine isn’t working guess it’s not been working for the past six months ??? It’s a joke Go to the marsh Barton one and no issue

Male collegue “Harry” refused to give female staff member’s name but her initials were MK, wrong order was given and staff were extremely rude. We asked for a replacement and were told to “shut up” by staff. We would totally understand if we were drunk or disrespectful but we were sober and understanding. Will not be returning here, due to a lack of patience and respect. Extremely disappointed as a party who all work in hospitality and can understand the strain but remain polite and respectful in the workplace. Would never expect this low level of service.

Without a receipt from the receipt-less self service expect a very rude manager trying to work out the order you *paid* for.. and end up with sub par cold food. Refill the paper.. isn't that hard.. apparently customer is always wrong

Came here for a treat with friends and children (2 autistic children) sat upstairs so it was quieter for our sensitive children. Was told after ordering I had to move as upstairs was closing asked if I had a table suitable for 10 of us was told yes….. actually no it wasn’t suitable and half of us had to stand!! Asked multiple members of staff to help us not one of them wanted to help…. Disappointed McDonald’s very disappointed.

Mate says food was bad, didn't even finish his burger. Poor lad just wanted something to lift his spirits after a disappointing night out. Disappointing.

This McDonalds is actually atrocious. We sent my brother and dad in to go and get us some food and my aunt went in for her kids too. I saw so many people come in that did not exit for ages. We must have waited for at least 40 minutes for our food when in reality this is supposed to be a fast food chain. I ended up sitting on the floor across the street because I wasn’t feeling great ( I always feel like this when I haven’t eaten for a while). Eventually my dad and brother came back out with the food after asking the manager what on earth was going on, and suddenly our food magically appeared. My brother told me there was someone inside McDonalds who was sat on the floor because they were waiting for so long. In the end the food was good but the staff in this McDonalds are terrible.

Been here several times, always hoping it gets better. Ordered breakfast , burger thrown together. Tried to customise at the till, told I couldn't. Coffee was cold and half full. Sorry, won't be back.

hoenstly been coming in here since i was in secondary school. It’s always fast paced and the staff are usually lovely. Weather it’s early morning maccies breakfast or 3 am drunken big mac it’s always cheap, fast and efficient. Couldn’t survive without maccies exeter . Always feel safe around the security guards especially late at night and the other day when i went some men were being weird with me and the security guard was very kind and protective

Quite probably the worst McDonalds experience ever. Restaurant is filthy dirty, staff are surly and unappreciative. Someone at area level needs to get hold of this restaurant and remind them of the basics.

Ordered McDelivery through Uber Eats. Delivery was ok but the food, not so much. Half of the drink was spilled in the bag, no straw. The quarter pounder with cheese tasted old. No free condiments such as ketchup. Will not order again online.

Worker named Callum, very rude, we didn’t get the amount of nuggets we wanted( 20 ) we had them changed once before and we told Callum and he said ‘ are you serious ‘ then continued to chat to his friends. His friends then said ‘ get a nugget and chuck it her ‘ very rude and I definitely won’t be coming again.

Awful, they got our order wrong and when we took it back they didn't believe us (even though we had the receipt to prove it) the manager asked what was going on and just turned his back, no sorry or anything! The table and floor was filthy and smelt. To be fair the food was ok, Won't go back there again.

Estaba sentado en McDonald's tomando un pollo a la mayonesa (¡lo cual fue muy bueno!), Estaba a punto de reventar por un Mc - Tinkle. Al acercarme al baño, noté una señal que me informaba que tenía que pedirle a un miembro del personal que lo usara. Después de acercarse a un miembro del personal sobre la situación, se negó a abrirla y me dijo que tenía que usar las de arriba. Debido a que estaba tan ocupado a la hora del almuerzo debido a los tiempos de la universidad, no estaba demasiado interesado en querer acercarme al 'paraíso del gángster' arriba, por lo tanto, no pude vaciar mi vejiga. Por lo tanto, no usé su inodoro y tuve que guardarlo, lo cual fue muy incómodo para alguien con una vejiga tan débil como yo. Tenía la intención de visitar Mcdonald's, no un gimnasio. Mala actitud del personal de hecho.

Have used the drive through on many occasions and on every single visit we have encountered poor attitude. However today took the biscuit. Staff argued with us. From the ordering point to the paying point. Sadly we visit many MacDonalds up and down the country and this has to be consistently the worse one. For convenience we came back today, hoping it might have improved, but today confirmed our belief that it won’t. That’s our last visit to Exeter - not that MacDonalds will care! Oh and by the way, the food took 9 minutes to come out and then it was cold.

Dashed into McDonald’s Exeter High Street today for lunch. It was 12:00 and the place was full of students and school kids. It was buzzing!!! We finally found a seat and ordered our meal which took approximately 15 mins to prepare. It was hot and as tasty as it could be...

My wife and I called here for lunch. I ordered at the counter and given my number. We did not have to wait long for our food. We ate in McDonald's and enjoyed it. Left on our walk about shortly afterwards.

SHOCKING, go to order at the till and have to wait a solid 10 minutes for any service. Once I finally got my food I had to leave the venue and a man was moping the floor. Not only was it a slip hazard, as I walked over the floor he sarcastically said “thanks a lot guys”.

A franchise store ideally located on Exeter High Street. Very busy and very popular outlet Prepare to wait a bit due to high demand. Food comes out hot and staff helpful

No comemos mucho en McDonalds, pero cuando es necesario, normalmente están limpios y tienen un buen servicio, pero este no. Probably the worst mcdonalds I've ever seen. Unclean tables and the toilets were abismal. Totally no control over the staff situation and very worn out decor. Defo never again

Tienen una nueva opción de servicio de mesa cuando usted ordena desde un quiosco automatizado que funcionó muy bien, la comida se lleva rápidamente a su mesa. Las unidades de pedido automatizadas son realmente brillantes (fáciles, simples, confiables). Lunchtime and I was hungry, so I stopped off at McDonald's in the High Street, Easter half term so it was rammed. I quickly ordered and had to wait for approx 8mins for my meal. Tasted ok, not revolutionary, but ok. As a note toilets are upstairs.

Having 3 children, they love to go Macdonalds and whilst we were in Exeter shopping they wanted Happy Meals. We used the in store system to order take away and as usual theres a massive queue. The staff couldnt keep up with the orders being generated.

Hice un pedido grande en el camino y el chico que me dio mi comida me lo dio y se fue. No estaba seguro de si estaba todo allí o no, ya que no dijo gracias ni adiós. Tampoco me preguntó si quería salsas. Literalmente tuve que 'disculparme' con él para llamar su atención. Entiendo que no va a obtener lo mejor de lo mejor trabajando aquí, pero no es difícil pedirle al personal las simples gracias y despedidas.

Era un sábado por la tarde muy concurrida y los niños querían que McDonalds lo visitara. Estaba tan ocupado como era de esperar, había tanta gente haciendo cola por su comida que quería pagar en efectivo, pero como hay máquinas de autoservicio, la gente estaba en el camino del principal hasta donde podía ordenar. Noté que había un montón de personal que debería poder hacer frente a la demanda, pero había tanta gente atestada como sardinas que no podían hacer frente al gran volumen de pedidos.

Suprisesingly watch whilst waiting for my order staff directly handling preparing food without using any disposable gloves not sure if I ever take my family to eat mc Donald again

I have never been to a worse Mcdonalds. We only had coffee and milk shake but the coffee was weak and the milk shake thin, obviously been standing a long time as we waited 25 minutes for the order. I was also told you have to pay for the toilets, so we left.

Wouldn't normally visit a McDonalds and was not my choice to visit on this occasion. Never anywhere to sit, tables and chairs dirty. You have to order via a self service screen, which is really easy, but the staff look at you as if you cannot manage it because you are slightly older than them! As usual, due to the amount of teenagers in there, there was some trouble and mnagers had to get involved over missing mobile phone. Avoid the place

We stayed in Exeter for 5 days and used this McDonalds on several occasions for drinks and desserts. Service was always slow. Particularly around lunchtime you could wait 30 minutes, just for a McFlurry! It never seemed that clean either. Could do better.

El restaurante era absolutamente repugnante, nunca había visto algo así, el inodoro con discapacidad que tiene un cambiador de bebés era terrible, terminé cambiando a mi bebé en su cochecito. Acabo de participar en Best McDonald's In The World de LUCKY LEE's BEST IN THE WORLD REVIEWS. La comida rápida y excelente servicio en el frente de la casa en la sección de auto pedido de Lauren hizo que toda la experiencia fuera grandiosa para mí y para mi hijo de 30 años.

Este restaurante en particular está muy ocupado ya que entiendo que está en el medio del centro de la ciudad de Exeter. Sin embargo, poner a una chica gruñona hasta llamar a Avra, que ni siquiera miró a los ojos, fue grosera y abrupta y aparentemente no puede decir por favor o gracias. Sí, nuestra experiencia fue extremadamente rápida y recibimos nuestra comida en el tiempo más rápido que creo que hemos tenido, sin embargo, hubiera preferido esperar y tuviera un servicio decente.

Rubbery food,stale chips,synthetic chicken,unfresh vegetables.....the easiest way to put them out of business is not to go in there.....bread and cheese is better.

Really disappointed- son’s choice for post-orthodontist treat before back to school. Son had meal but chips were soggy, cold unappetising- he didn’t tell me until half way through!

Had to wait half an hour for my breakfast order. It seems that the new way of ordering is very chaotic and far slower than the old way of doing it. They seemed to be getting everyone's orders wrong, running out of everything and there were crowds of people waiting for orders because it was very, very slow.

We visited Exeter on boxing day. I normally have a fillet o fish meal but this time they put something else instead of fish. I am assuming it's chicken as it looked and tasted like Chicken. The same thing happened to my daughter. She ordered a vegetable deluxe meal and instead of a vegetable burger she got a chicken one. We waited over half an hour for the order. We did not complain there because there was a shortage or staff. The restaurant was also very messy and dirty. There were no cleaners so we had to clean our tables before we sat down. Avoid this place!

Came here on a busy Friday evening and wanted to use the self service system so i get to have a proper look through to see what else there is to eat.

Ordered the new swiss stack and a bigmac .... when i got it the swiss stack roll was on the bigmac and the swiss stack burger had bigmac bun. this place isn't nothing special run by aload of dumb polish people. wraps from there are cold never get the order right these ppl.

We called in at this McDonald's while visiting Exeter. Fast service, clean tables, good cup of tea but cold fries.

As a student I, like many others, visit McDonalds a decent amount. Never had any issues, the food is what it is and what you always expect. I went on a Saturday night after a 3am finish at work with a colleague. Granted, it was VERY busy with all the drunken population of Exeter queuing out the doors at 3:30am. I understand the business of these kinds of shifts of course, but after being so excited to treat myself to my favourite double cheeseburger and 6 chicken nuggets, to then find out when I got home to have a plain single hamburger with absolutely nothing on it, after paying by card for the double. It is not as if I could go back to sort it out as I had already travelled home and the staff member took my receipt out of my hand when I went to pick up my order. I am more annoyed that I have paid for a meal more expensive to what I was given, and that my receipt was taken off me, to only get a dry plain hamburger. So overall, not my favourite McDonalds experience.

Called in twice this week for a McFlurry! This week was flake, last week was caramel. Both were awesome. There are definitely some odd characters residing in McDonalds these days! I'm sure it gets used as a refuge after 18:00! Love the ice cream!

Wednesday 16th August and we visited this extremely busy McDonald's. We were there at about 13.00, prime time, there were queues everywhere.We used the self ordering and paying system, we were then ushered, by a member of staff, to an overcrowded collection point. We waited over 10 minutes to collect our food and drinks. The staff were working flat out, we were served by a member of staff that was a tad miserable and abrupt.At one stage the queue, for ordering at the counter, stretched the length of the place to the street.The service was a bit slow, however, food was ok, thankfully not cold, and the coffee was good, always enjoy McDonald's coffee.

I visited this Mcdonalds today at lunch time, it was very busy, but there were lots of staff on hand to manage the volume of customers. The restaurant was very tidy at the time of visit. The toilets were also very clean.All in all a good visit.

Good service, clean and user friendly: when you wanna a bit of fast TLC to eat with a mement, it is still cool!

The new self service tills took some understanding so we decided to go to the counter and order to make sure we got our choice correctly ordered. We stood and waited for a good ten minutes before a female member of staff gave us a filthy look as if to say why are you standing by the tills. I asked may we place an order please and very reluctantly she took our order. The food was Luke warm and the drinks not much better. We could say its not the best McDonald's we have been too.

I find myself chasing nostalgia, for past delicious burgers in McDonald's. The unusual flavoured specials attract me in from time to time, and although I find I need extra mayo and ketchup, the flavours can be very beefy and savoury. Sadly, the consistency can be shaky, as the difference between a fresh burger bun and a dry crumbly one can make or break the pleasure of the food... and just occasionally the reality of the product looks like a shrink-wrapped version of the poster picture outside... so it deters me to eat here as much as I would if the product was a bit more cared for.

Not the best mcdonalds I've been too. Food was as standard and food was served very quickly after using the self service tills but the tables were filthy and the straws/sauce/napkins are in a stupid position

Was in Mcdonalds - Marsh Barton, Exeter today and the customer in front of me had the cheek to make a complaint to the duty manager about how he had just been spoken to by the gentleman behind the till....(I overheard most of the conversation and to be fair the server had been a little abrupt with the chap in front of me)....whilst the customer was explaining the situation to the duty manager...the server offered to meet the customer at 2pm outside to discuss it......i'm guessing it wasn't to offer an apology! I'm a fairly understanding sort of person but you don't go into Mcdonalds to grab a quick bite to eat and expect to be offered a fight by the person serving you!!

We went in to get some lunch and we realised the floor was really greasy as though no one ha cleaned it. I was walking through and fell I badly injured my shoulder which kept hurting for a couple of weeks to a month and hurt my back. When I got up no one said anything and no one asked if I was okay when there was even staff all around me and a worker who was right next to me who I tried to steady with so I didn't fall over but he moved out the way. Then today I went back in there and found the floors as greasy. This is not expectable for some where you eat.

Got into que but taken a bit short so went to go to the toilet but came to a sign and bollard saying that the area was closed so could not go ,could not wait so had to leaveI think that they had cleaned the up stairs ,so as to save time before they closed but this was on a Friday at 4pm so a bit early?So no Big Mac just a big let do

I know this is a cheap eat place but when we went in, it wasnt very busy so everything was fresh and cooked just right.

A friend came to see me from the scenic seaside oasis of Torquay recently, and we decided we wanted a quick meal with minor incident.McDonald's did not disappoint. We were met at the door by a bouncer (on a Tuesday night) with a face like we'd just violated their child in front of them, clearly we were in for a great meal! Once inside the other patrons were convivial and approached us to ask for 45p, then 20p and so on until their demeanor turned to a less pleasant demeanour. Fortunately we were saved by a "community support officer" responding to a previous incident and the patrons dispersed. We sat down to enjoy our gloriously over and or under cooked burgers, but where saved by the resplendent fries. I can only hope the decade old grease in the fryer negated any ecoli and or other pathogens we ingested at the time. All in all I would call this a win for exeter! 5 out of 5 for entertainment and services rendered.

Needed some quick eats and Maccy D's was on form. Had my usual Quarter and Fries with a cheeky shake to wash it down, all good ;-)

Busy breakfast service only two staff on tills two guys at the back of kitchen joking and drinking soft drinks... No food prepared the two staff on tills taking order after order ( one being a manager). Not sure what he was managing then when the food came up they had forgotten who has ordered what ? After 20 minutes I demand a refund to which the guy on the till looked puzzled who had to ask the manager to open the till to refund me. Really needs some training put in place.. went to Gregg's just as busy only three staff who all seemed to know how to cope will orders.

havent been in a mcdonalds in years but now i know why horrible staff and even worse customers avoid with all costs on a saturday night its like a zoo!!

We went as a family for lunch and it wasn't that busy. We ordered our meals and they were quickly served. Unusually the meal was cool and by the time I was half way through my burger it was cold so it wasn't really very nice. They had high chairs so my one year old was able to sit with us too. Not the best visit I've ever had...
