Worst KFC I’ve been in for some time. The zinger burger had almost no sauce in it, didn’t “zing” and was thrown together, which is pretty difficult to do when it’s basically a chicken breast and lettuce in a bun.

Shocking. Not exactly fast food, Won't be rushing back.

This afternoon, I went to a restaurant and experienced very poor customer service. One of the female staff members was particularly rude to me. I won’t return to the restaurant, and I will advise my friends and family to avoid it as well

It’s got decent food and service - when it’s open. The issue is the management. Opening times are incorrect, showing as open until 11pm (supposedly confirmed by the business just a week ago) but when I went at 10pm they were not taking orders and already well into cleaning/closing up. This problem has been pointed out in other reviews, with the business saying they would work to improve but clearly they have not. Those with accessibility issues should also be aware that the “automatic” door meant to help wheelchair users, does not work.

10:25pm - not due to shut until 11pm and the doors are locked.

Bog standard KFC. Quick service and good enough chicken.

Very poor quality service. Always missing stuff and the chicken isn't fresh. I saw the workers handling with utter carelessness tossing it around. Never again.

Busy restaurant can be waiting along times for orders staff could look tidier

Went in after cinema and my boy needed the toilet. Started to order whilst I asked for access to the toilets. The place was a mess and christ knows when the toilet had last been checked because it was disgusting with no toilet roll and diguatd d wet loo roll in the sink. Had to leave my child in the loo whilst I asked for some tissue and it took ages, so then had to stand in the main doorway to both toilets, whilst my husband asked and watched the server I asked messing around trying to, what looked like offloading the job onto another colleague. So we just took the whole packaged 4 rolls out of her hand and returned the other three rolls to the serving place as I didn’t see it as being our job to put it in the cases on the walls. Both kids wanted KFC so after leaving to go to Digby where I’m currently stood and have already taken multiple pictures of over flowing bins and dirty floors. I've left a review for that too. Poor hygiene on Sidwell Street and didn’t want the kids to get ill.

One person on the till, no comunication relating to my drinks. My kids finished their food and still I waited 20 munites for my drinks. Found the employee rude ignorant.

Popped in for some chips. There was about half a potaotes worth (expected more from a £2.80 large chips) and there was literally no seasoning (the only reason I buy the chips)

We got a bargain bucket delivered and they didn’t put the chips in, two items were ordered, chicken and chips and they didn’t put 1 of them in. Absolutely useless.

Every time I buy 9 chicken wings, you only give me 6. Are you not good at counting, or is there something wrong with your eyes? Idiot

Just quick food nothing to sing about

There is always part of the order missing when ordering through the app. The chicken was cold and looked old. I also got food poisoning. Do not come here if you want a nice dine. Complete trash.

Just dropped in for a coffee. Coffee is ok here £2 , always prefer independent coffee shops. McDonald's coffee is way better as a fast food coffee comparison. Staff were friendly and helpful. Have to get the toilet door unlocked to get entry which is a faff. Easy fast food, i do love their chicken as well!

Food not as fresh or hot as it could be. bins overflowing. Toilets out of order so have to ask staff for a key to the disabled loo. Unnecessarily loud music.

Worst service ever, always rude to couriers, always slow, went at 22 40 to get my order but they closed the door and refused to give me my order, they really have to pull their sh.iz together.

Young male staff member walking around the kitchen not in uniform but his own clothes eating fries out of the part they are cooked in. He was picking them out in handfuls ........utterly disgusting to see! Won't be going back

Went there on Sunday afternoon, all seats filthy tables and seats. Food on the floor under ever table. Smelly staff. Shocking!

Too busy,too small, bins overfill, rubbish on every table, toilets locked. Have to clear the table from the previous customers before starting to eat.

The idea is always better than the result.

Honestly THE worse kfc I have ever been to, will drive to one of the trading estate kfc’s before I consider this store a five minute walk away, can’t handle more than two customers prioritise delivery drivers and mess up every single order they fulfil in some way or other, the manager seemed very stressed and understanding of the issues when I spoke to him, can’t get staff capable of counting, reading screens or paying attention

Woudnt even give it 1 star . Food was complete rubbish and a waste of money . Avoid this place! Staff rude & demanding I’ll let you make your own judgement. Order was completly wrong! Never again.

Where to start! Slow service, staff are more concerned with dealing with the delivery bellends that are waiting rather than giving customer service to the people waiting on the shop floor. The hygiene in this KFC and all the other in Exeter are disgusting and they need to be shut down. The food is always served cold or has been left out clearly for hours and they take no responsibility to maintain decent hygiene standards when cooking with chicken. It should be thrown after a certain amount of time and it clearly is not! I hope to god they get shut down for it due to their negligence! Should be arrested for how careless they are.

Love the food, worst service and care in the world. Would be better if it was completely self service here, I'd risk a burn.

It's a KFC. The service is always slow (very slow) and they always miss something off our order. Last time it was my gravy, and the time before that was my son's whole meal. Because we takeaway and drive 10mins before eating we don't find out until it is too late. Very annoying.

Staffs are extremely mean. They will speak in their language and laugh at the customers. The food and service are awful.

Just got a takeaway, hubby got it, we live just round the corner - a week ago, or so. First time, last time. Meat was dry as the Gobi desert. Been to the German Doner tonight. That was actually gorgeous, even though, we walked home for 20 minutes, and it was half cold, by then.

09.07, 7.58pm just received the worst 10 piece bargain bucket ever!! We asked if we could have some extra rib pieces and no wings, they got the second part right, however what we received was ridiculous, 2 pieces of thigh and 8 legs!!! Yes you read correct 8 LEGS!! All for £18.99!! NOT HAPPY!!!

My friend and I went to eat in KFC sidwell street, Sunday at 18:00, one person being served, two people sat down eating so not busy. I ordered via the machine selecting dine in. The place was filthy and covered in mess/litter. I went and sat down at one of the dirty tables to wait for my food to be served to me. A young man called out a number which sounded like my number. So I went to the counter, thinking maybe they had run out of my order but no he handed me a bag and a drink. I did inform him I ordered dine in, usually a tray and brought to the table. He just shredded. So much for customer service, think next time I will go to the burger place where food is brought to you when you dine in and is kept clean. I wonder how clean is the kitchen here that isn't seen if they are happy for customers to sit in this filth.

Food was fresh and hot. Service was friendly and quick. Very clean and tidy.

Absolutely ridiculous, we ordered for the kids then decided we wouod have something aswell so we only litrally ordered wrap of the day for us, chicken with cool mayo, well whoever put this together needs ti check wtlhat the hell they are doing!!!! Pepper mayo all over the wrap and chicken. Bloody good job we aren't allergic ay! We can't stand pepper so it went in the bin, but I'm struggling to see how u can't tell the difference between just mayo and mayo with black bits in it?!???!?! Employ people who can actually read and understand please!

Whether it's fine weather or fowl, this beautiful chicken restaurant is a must for any would be lover of quality food served by staff who honestly are so smiley they could be extras in the Truman Show, or at the very least on a lot of diazepam. I was surprised that such a restaurant dedicated solely to chicken deep-fried in batter and chips so floppy (just the way I like them) and other poulet goodie could even exist, yet alone thrive. Yet thrive it does and with good reason. I had the "zinger tower box meal deal with coca cola" and to say it sated my overwhelming appetite is an understatement of gargantuan proportions. The chicken was crispy, juicy and with just the right amount of spice to "zing" my pallet, the hand cut organic fries were as limp as I'd like, salted enough to make my heart skip a beat and the icing on the cake/zinger meal was the coca cola, sugary, watered down perfectly and drunk with gusto. The ambiance of the restaurant was also sublime, decor on point, couples arguing at the payment counter and teenagers with spots and sweaty brows from hard graft as waiting staff all added to the phenomenal experience I had here. I'm running out of superlatives to explain my delight at this food and restaurant experience so I'll leave it with this, just you keep on going KFC, because you really clucking know what you're doing. Bravo.

Order process very easy. Food was prepared in a few minutes and it was hot and delicious. The only reason I didn't give t stars is because the staff was not smiling and didn't talk at all. Like they didn't want to be there.

Below par KFC food with staff seemingly unable to understand a simple order (which part of 'side breast chicken (as oppose to chicken leg) and fries (not chips, there is a difference) do you not understand?) Polluted with annoying young students are Uber bikers most of the time. Exeter certainly has changed from my days as a mature student.

Absolutely shocking, the worst KFC I have ever been to and I have been here three times. Why did I come back?!!. The staff are so rude they never say please thank you. Sorry for waiting nothing just slam the food down and ignore you. The place is filthy food all over the floor overflowing bins. The gravy is like water. The chips are hard I will never have KFC again here or anywhere else. Shocking and shameful

Not exactly busy but took a full 20 minutes to get my small order, and overheard the guy in front saying the same, meanwhile in his 20 min wait they had ran out of something in his order,meanwhile, unapolgetic staff who dont appear to care Tables and floor filthy, chicken bones everywhere no paper towels in holder, deliveroo/uber eats drivers clogging up the till area blocking customers from ordering and generally getting in the way of real life, in the flesh customers. Only one digital ordering point working Hadnt been in here for weeks as they had a sign on door saying mobile ordering/loyalty codes not working on their tills. Wish I hadnt bothered today. Oh, and the food. cold. watched my burger sit in "hot rack" for about 12 mins before it was eventully thrown at me, I would suggest this place either sorts the staff out or hires bouncer to protect them as people wont tolerate them too long

Went to kfc sidwell Street to treat my grandson. Wait time wasn't bad. Unfortunately that was the best part of the visit. Chicken was dry and barely warm. We decided to eat in. It was absolutely freezing in there. Colder than outside. Ended up leaving and leaving most of the food too. Would definitely not recommend, it was colder inside than it was outside

Empty containers littering every table and full of guys in biker gear waiting around for delivery orders made this a less than welcoming experience. Food was ok, not very hot, but pretty much as expected

By far the worst KFC I have ever eaten! The service is absolutely shocking! I ordered from this place 5 times for delivery and every single time I ordered there were things missing! How can you get it so wrong? The screen tells you what to put in the bag😂 eventually I complained and ended up getting a voucher…. I am sure you can guess what happened when we used it! Really needs to sort itself out and go back to the very basics!

Young girl today, might aswell have been running it on her own. Food average, place abit of a mess but this girl was cooking, serving on the till and giving out orders.

Shocking service did an order nearly 2 hours ago and still waiting no one answers the phone to see when will be delivered so can't even ask for a refund would not recommend at all I wouldn't give it a star if they can't deal with it they should be sacked so update on order over 3 hours now taken my money thieving sods and didn't even receive my order . The hours are #hit, it says here that they close at 23:00 on Wednesday evening, the poster is on their door says 22:00. I went there tonight 07-12-2022 & the door was locked at 21:44. Why? Their poster says 22:00 so they ought to be open until then! It used to be good here but not anymore. If they're going to close early then they should change their advertised hour's.

Staff didn't appear to know what they were doing. Got orders wrong. Made the hot drinks 10 minutes before food order ready. 2 customers had been waiting 40 minutes for their order. Full of delivery drivers as well. Not a great experience.

Good food and clean location. The big problem and not only for today ,they don't let you use the toilets saying that are blocked. Which I doubt it's true as it's going on from last year. I hope the management will see this review and sort it out.

Even by KFC's low standards, this place is absolutely terrible. Very slow service, and by the time the food arrived it was cold.

Walked in and walked straight back out, tables were filthy, food all over the floor, chairs everywhere with tables having no chairs around them, went to the chicken shop around the corner, at least it is clean there.

Decided to grab a KFC before heading to the cinema. Really regret it, it was pure chaos. Rubbish everywhere, I couldn’t tell who was ruder, the customers or the staff. One woman who ordered after us had to have her meal remade twice because they bagged three meals in a single bag and it split, and then they did it again. My partners chicken was still pink and looked very undercooked but we didn’t even bother to mention this to the staff as we didn’t had time-Store was overwhelmed by deliveroo drivers picking up meals so service is slow. Absolutely not coming back here

Ordered a rice meal with a salad they had no fork to eat it with when we asked we were told to use our fingers we have no cutlery manager was no help said he didn't know what we should do we got a refund. Other customers were eating inside with baked beans and coleslaw they were told the same regarding the cutlery. The staff were all laughing at us thinking it was funny very Rude and unprofessional.

It was quite in there whilst having lunch. The guy there were pleasant and cheerful.

Door says open on a Saturday until midnight but was locked shut and a single employee inside cleaning wasn’t responding at all when asked through class store front if they were open or not, at least 10 other people arrived to try and get in to buy food when I was there for around 20 minutes so store was clearly losing business due to staff wanting to shut early

I always enjoy the burger each time I visit here. However, they should provide ketchup for consumers. Also, no hand sanitizers to sanitize your hand and you have to eat your burger with your hand.

Banging awful and why didn't I read the reviews first?! Dirty and the food apart from the corn on the cob and that was nuked in the microwave! Poor staff didn't have a clue either! Lots of unhappy customers complaining about the same issues.

Shoddy service, placed an order over an hour ago (on Just Eat) and the driver has been at the restaurant for almost the entire time (according to the App). Called the restaurant (multiple times) and no answer.
