McDonald's in Torbay

Have driven away from this restaurant’s drive thru multiple times with items missing from the bag. Burgers put together inside out. Kids doing a bad job.

Stopped off late in the evening around 9pm to pickup some grub on our way past, spotted a mcdonald's and thought that will do, can always rely on them. How wrong i was. Walked in, ordered via the machine and awaited my order being prepared, 2 employees were constantly messing about with each other, throwing cup lids and all sorts at each other. At a guess I would say they've just become some sort of couple. It was a very unproffessional scene and made me want to walk out of the door but I'd already ordered and paid. Other employees were clearly used to seeing these two acting this way and weren't surprised or inclined to do anything to intervene. One then casually chats to the other about what time KFC is open til when behind the counter of a mcdonald's. Cold Chips, barely warm burgers and a complete waste of my time. The manager here needs to step up and do there job. End of.

At last we can go inside before the lockdowns I used to go in early every day and found it was really helping with my anxiety which I suffer really bad.. the way it helped was the staff I got to know really well and they were all really nice people …I always had breakfast and drink and a chat…thankfully some of the staff are still working there and the young manager I know well…thanks Mc.D. You’re open again it’s the best in the west.. John..

What a shambles..ordered breakfast and half of the food Was missing... So I go back and get called a liar! Awful place with awful staff.. Avoid

I am absolutely disgusted with this McDonald’s as it’s the second time I have ordered food and not received my full order. I am upset that I pay for food and I don’t get it, the drive thru wasn’t even busy at all.

Veggie or vegan?? Forget it!!! Terrible place to attempt to eat. All veggie/vegan food taken off the menu. Apparently it’s down to supply due to Covid. Stop using Covid as an excuse!! I asked for a veggie option and was invited to eat chips or ice cream. The staff were not able to offer any alternatives and didn’t seem to care. I was reluctant to go in there in the first place and will never go into a Mc anti veggie establishment again... disgusting!!!

So had a trip to newton abbot no screens no gloves friendly staff Came here late last night the manager had so much make up she looked like a painted doll. She changes her gloves between every customer incresaing the wait and the burden of plastic on the environment and then got shirty becaise i wanted to hold the chip and pin machine as i have a tiny car miles from the window her words were i cant let you have it. Did she think im gonna drive off with it? After the rude mini golf mam and the zombie hoardes in the high streets i think paignton needs a good hatd lesson in when and when not to be covid aware.For the amount of hassle its just not worth it. Oh and i got no discount either.

Been quick even I've been there and food good and warm and order has been correct, goes get quite best around 11/1, but that's to be expected

Self service wouldn’t work. Complained. Got called rude. Argued my point, got told to leave! Shocking display of customer service from Manager too! Absolutely horrid place......

Horrible metallic tasting brown water. You can see why they offer free drinks - you wouldn't want to buy this muck.

Went to order a McFlurry and took about five minutes waiting to be served because the lad serving was stood yapping to what appears to be a mate of his. Was like I was invisible. Poor customer service!

Avoid Bobby at all costs, extremely rude when asked a simple question. Seems customer service and common courtesy is not one of his priorities! Will take our business elsewhere in future.

Great value clean fast food. Car park Always clean. Great service helpful staff. Always hot and nothing to much trouble Never ever been there and seen any rubbish left around. Full marks. Wish kfc could do the same there a mess.

Burgers ok but chips floppy and cold, plus ordered 1 large fries... on getting to window to pay added another fries.... was charged and got 2 extra medium fries which as going through the drive thru didn't pick up on and threw away...

Your usual Mcdonalds food but a clean restaurant with friendly staff and table service and appeared on this visit to be very organised

Small carpark but Sainsbury's is in the same grounds so you can use there's it's only a minute walk,like the automated screens for easy and quick orders and you can have the food brought to your table.food was quick and warm.

Usual standard of food and service, restaurant was very busy due to Easter school holidays so they were busy and rushed. Car park is quite small, there was only one space available when I visited around 3.30

very helpful clean staff they look after you well. wish they we next to use not KFC. there food is good.

I have a very big problem with Paignton, this Mcdonals is a disgrace, nothing to say really, its the same as the KFC in Paignton, appalling, but the staff weren't even nice, the food always has a problem and the cleanliness is disgraceful.

Went through the drive through with my partner this morning and ordered a bacon double cheeseburger along with some other stuff. Got our food and went to sit in Sainsbury’s car park to eat, and had been given a double cheeseburger with no bacon in. Took it back in and explained politely I had ordered a bacon double cheeseburger and there was no bacon in this. The woman behind the counter then snatched the burger out of my hand, asked them to make another then continued to mutter something under her breathe. Made me feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome given it was a simple enough request and we had paid for the bacon.. I am not impressed by the rudeness of the woman and it completely ruined my meal!

Have a coffee before work each morning before work and always have polite welcoming service. Very clean restaurant also.

Had a quick snack and got the daughter a happy meal.. She was more than happy with her little meal.. And toy she got.. I just had a couple of double cheese burgers. Really enjoyed them.. You can't really mess a couple of burgers up can you.. You get what you pay for.. Will visit again no doubt soon..

Kids loved this, standard McDonald's fare (though we had a baby with us so got the non standard carrots and apples too), but it is very modern decor, and long tables with screens for the kids to play. Great idea (and just round the corner from the zoo if you want to finish the day with another treat)

A recently modernised McDonalds with clean contemporary dining furniture and slick computerised screen ordering system and card payment.. The meals are then delivered to your table and the server was pleasant and efficient.

We are not locals so we only call in if we are in the area. Since our last visit the restaurant has been re-fitted so it now has very modern feel to it. Between us we had a sausage & egg mcmuffin, a breakfast wrap & pancakes with syrup. The food arrived quickly & it was all hot. We all enjoyed our breakfast, we will eat here again when next in the area.

Practically live in this place.. My little one is obsessed with the kids happy meals... My wife loves the frapays And I love the double cheese burgers.. Always go after my Sunday work shift.. Never had a bad take out or anything to complain about.. If you want convenience and your passing by for quick and simple... You must try...

Nothing exceptional about this McDonald's. Staff seemed to be managing to keep up with demand, although there were so many of them in the kitchen area they were almost falling over each other.

Food was what you normally expect. Very clean and tidy apart from the automatic doors not working. Staff walking around giving children balloons was a treat. Friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go back next time I am in the area.

Arrived in to Paignton early needed to stop decided to have a couple of hot drinks have stopped here different times before, there were two girls serving the one that had glasses on was wondering around in a trance somehow not even realising I was at the counter, but the other girl was good and helpful nice tea and coffees would stop here again when near by to there though, all seemed to be clean and tidy including toilets so that's a bonus too!

Mcdonalds is a great place to go helpful staff free wifi any problems dealt with instantly will definitely return and recommend to friends

Un salto en el 1 de octubre por una hamburguesa y fresa. Hecho esto en todos los McDonald's que he utilizado desde el Stretford Arndale uno inaugurado en junio 80. Me decepcionó y me dijeron no batidos hoy PERO ESTOY 50 y puede abordar este tipo de tragedia. En vez elegí una cosa caramel frappe y mi favorito producto mcd el cheeseburger básico. Fuimos afuera y un pulgar buscando perdón unwrapped impreso tema carne. Soy consciente de que un trabajo de 19 años por £5,75 por hora no se puede esperar que importaba mucho, pero el director debe tener. Un vistazo a la imagen anuncio luego ver lo que sucede en la vida real. Yo todavía estoy volver como una criatura un poco de exceso de hábito pero si Burger king abre cerca que podría ser el final de un romance largo. Pd: Como una persona que solía hacer trabajos de turno puedo rogar a detener la farsa que es el Mcmuffin y hacer hamburguesas antes de las 10.30.

No tengo ninguna queja con la calidad de la comida o el valor, el restaurante estaba muy limpio y bien presentado, pero en serio ¿cuánto se tarda en cocinar una salchicha y huevos mcmuffin?

Youngest child requested a trip to a McDonald's for lunch whilst we were on the South Coast last week. Took a while to find this clean place with quick service but worth the walk from Torquay Harbour.

Burgers are always dry. I thought it was me until I ate at McDonalds Newton Abbot which is really good.I sent a Quarterpounder back once but the replacement was the same= the base of the bread was like dry cardboard. Need to act on this.

Is just like a typical McDonald's but now open 24 hours and saves the drive to Torquay after midnight now to buy that Big Mac and coke

As the title says ' you know what your getting ' . You know its not going to be like the pictures but its tasty and good value. Could be cleaner but luck of the draw on timing .

For a quick snack it's a small macdonalds but staff ok an food was hot we had kids meals an they were fine

My burger arrived still mooing, my milkshake was terrified, my chips were chipped and my sauce was very saucy, I can't quite believe I was asked to leave due to trying to revive my burger

I really fancied a couple of cheeseburgers the other evening so the wife picked up a couple on the way home from shopping. I could not believe what I ended up with. A portion of chips which were almost cold 2/10. 2 so called cheeseburgers which were stone cold and consisted of a bun a thin slice of alleged beef and a processed cheese slice and that is all, no pickle salad or anything else and all stone cold as we live a half a mile away it cannot be because of the trip home. There is no excuse at all for this quality of food and all cold. I will never go here again or eat their food and would recommend you avoid it at all costs

Always get fresh hot food, restaurant clean and tidy even when busy. Helpful staff. Efficient and polite.

On our way out of sainsburys next door to this McDonald's we decided to go through the drivethrough and take it back to our caravan nearby. We had a bit of a wait as they had to make more French fries. When we got back to our accommodation and got the food out the fries were pale and all the other food was very cold. the burgers were dry and burnt. The milk in the kids meal was out of date that day. The only thing OK was the milkshakes.

A very efficient and clean restaurant offering all the usual McDonalds products.We had the breakfast meal deat which was good value for money.The staff were very friendly and we were served very quickly.

All of the food was hot and fresh, and actually got served quickly! Also there was a lovely girl called Kat who helped me carry our food over to my table, would definitely take the kids there again :)

So maccys is maccys some times they don't always get it right some times you have to go back as you've only got half your order ever notice you never get more than what you ordered???So big macs and fries and drinks... Quite simple I think, probably one of most common orders actually... Now I don't expect them to look good they only do that on TV but good God guys try put the burger in the bun I shouldn't have to build my own meal!!! The fries were Luke warm (that's being polite) and rubbery cause it was clearly obvious they'd been reheated several times wouldn't have been overly Annoyed if they were HOT but well maccys and hot is a rare occasion... Big macs are usually soft... Not again rubbery and the bun I have personally never in my life came across a hard maccys bun until Paignton maccys good God you guys have talent making that bun hard but anyway lettuce was soggy and wet and warm... Did you try fry it or something?? I'll just say the burger was horrible and it's a big Mac I shouldn't have to rip at it with my teeth to get a piece off but somehow you guys made it that bad...I'll some up if you want reheats that ironically come out cold go to this maccys it takes forever for them to do this disgrace of a job as well... Shame to the company the Yankees would be annoyed...Got drinks right though well done :-) even if they were half filled.... Makes me realise Torquay drive through not great but grass is greener on my own side will not return to Paignton again Zero star if I could... Avoid

only messed up on a special burger once everything else is fine the staff are good too and the pace always looks clean

No point in reviewing the food really, it was hot and tasted like a McDonalds! However the restaurant was clean and tidy, service was fast and efficient and they even told us to take a seat and they would bring the food over which was a nice touch. One of the better ones here.

There's no point talking about food when visiting a McDonalds, as it is the same in stores from Penzance to John O Groats (if they indeed have stores in those locations?!).Basically with McDonalds; it all comes down to whether they get your order right, and what the customer service is like.We went to this McDonalds twice on our trip down to Devon. The first trip was simply through the drive through. Got our order wrong, but customer service was fine.The second visit we went in for breakfast. Tried the new bacon-sausage burger- to be avoided! The rest of the food was fine. What did impress me was the customer service. There was a greeter welcoming people upon entering the restaurant; who was excellent with my 2 young kids and sorted them out with some crayons and colouring activities; which kept them amused until the flood was ready.They could definitely do with some more parking spaces, if for no other reason to give people somewhere to park up so they can properly check their drive through order without holding up the traffic.

Have been coming here for years and always get served promptly with hot food.I Like the fact that there is always someone looking after front of house, clearing tables, cleaning etc.

As with all fast food franchises, you know what you're going to get here. At least, compared to some, this place seems to be able to cope with large numbers and can safely call itself fast food. The food is always consistent and the café feels reasonably modern, airy and fresh. On my last visit the manageress even went round asking if everyone was happy, which was a nice touch and demonstrated their desire to do their best at least. The car park is quite small and can get quite busy but I'm sure you could use the adjacent Sainsbury's car park if you had to.

8:30 on a wet Tuesday in Paignton. the usual breakfast wrap was to the normal standard, served by the very polite Luke.However, the experience was somewhat jaded by the incessant whine of the manageress. it was a joy when she disappeared to 'do some work'. for god sake if you have gripes and moans the customers don't need to hear them.

MC DONALDS is always a good place to take kids and family. It is a shame that the chips are always cold but the mc muffins are delicious.

Perhaps it was a one off but unfortunately on the last visit the fries were just luke warm. That said service was excellent as usual and the place was spotless. Shame as it is usually the best in the bay.

Paignton Mackys by Sainsburys is amazing. they make you feel welcome, give eye contact to acknowledge you if busy. cater for your requirements. can't say enough. just go there if in the area. A+

It's your typical McDonalds's and I personally think it's better then the torquey one, it's fairly clean and the staff are fairly friendly however on multiple times the order has been wrong, they forget chips or sauces sometimes the chips aren't edible, most of the time I use the drive through and I find that when they ask you to park and swift that's when the order goes wrong.

Its not that I like negative reviews but honestly it has to be the worst "food" on the planet. The only saving grace is that it has an associated price tag but I honestly have to be close on collapsing with hunger to try to swallow any of it. The only true junk food outlet. Oh for a BK!

again treat for the kids , and brownie points for the adults burger and chips hits the spot but never fills but as I say the kids think its good so as a tea time treat can not knock it

I went to visit McDonald's paignton with my friends and their 11 month baby last night. The food was hot and fresh and the staff were friendly. All changes to the typical menu were correct witch was good as there were some fussy eaters in our group! The lobby was clean and tidy with staff circulating at all times. I would recommend this store!

I think this restaurant has excellent staff and i would like to say a big thank you to denise she's a star, credit to the restaurant.Food is great.

Returned several times recently; food always hot and fresh, whilst service is always friendly and polite. The place is clean - as a previous reviewer stated the car park size is an issue, but Sainsbury's is the easy alternative for parking. Fine for a quick snack.

I have been here a number of times and not able to eat cheese so has to order a special most of the time. I think they have only ever got the order right twice. Yes there very quick to correct it and offer free replacements but in my eyes getting a order correct is very very important. When I have to make a special trip back to correct there mistake nearly every time it's now come to the point where I will not ever bother which is a shame as I love a McDonalds. The last time there the area manager was there who was very sorry but when I pointed out they didn't care he was very quick to point out they do .... Well if you did you would listen and get the orders right and you DONT !! Best of luck !!

Very busy place next to Sainsburys but got served fast and food was hot, yeah was very good. Staff great and good parking.

We all know what to expect from the yellow m, reasonable taste for drive through food. The big let down is the ever shrinking menu with the best burgers disappearing. BCO and the Big Tasty being two of the best going. Can it be suggested that head office or Ronald Mcdonald are personally made aware of my disappointment? That is all.

McDonald's restaurants can be a bit of hit and miss and sometimes attract an unsavoury crowd. No worries here, punters are quiet and respectful, staff is amazing and food is hot and well made. Love how there is always a lady circulating making sure everyone is fine and was grateful that she held the door open for me as I struggled on my walking sticks. She also gave my daughter a replacement piece of pineapple when she dropped hers by accident. We have been there for all meals on different visits. We live in London but make a point of visiting this McDonald's during the holidays, even if it involves one hour's driving from our holiday accommodation!. They are that good! Their disabled loo was sparkling clean as were the tables, floors and windows. Wish all McDonald's were as good as the Paignton one.

Good service and a clean well lit fast food restaurant. It has the benefit of WiFi and is very conveniently situated.

Went there after Brazilian Soccer and food was good. The chips are quite thin and nice. The chicken nuggets were good quality. As you can guess, I had a Happy Meal. I would recommend it if you were on a night out and you were near one.

I rarely visit ‘Maccy D’s’ as my students call it and had not frequented one for almost a year (France). I was taking students out on a school trip and they voted a pit-stop before returning to school.This was the nearest on-route and we fell in around noon.The place was clean and tidy which made an impression as did the manageress who obviously took pride in her job and the restaurant.Her staff greeted us politely and we were served efficiently but I required my meal without certain ingredients and had to wait a little time for this to be prepared although I suspect the pre-cooked item was unwrapped and ingredients removed to save time as a fresh burger would have taken longer to cook.I visited the wash-room which was clean and tidy, another plus.Sadly my meal which had to be prepared was well below temperature including the fries, it was enjoyable flavours but I like a meal to be hot, if we had time I would have returned this and requested hot fries and hot food.My students were ‘well impressed’ but I knew what to expect from a McDonald’s.

Don't you think it is time to stand up to your little darlings and give them a better eating experience. Independent burger bars are usually much better, but take a bit of finding. You could try Tripadviser.

Taking my grandson , ( at his request !) was dreading it ! ..... was pleasantly surprised. Good quick service , well mannered staff ... and very fast service and well cleaned restaurant.Well done McDONALDS !!!Yes small car park, but park in Sainsburys ... no prob.

Although definitely not a gourmet treat, this McDonalds is a decent branch. The queues are usually short and the service quick - the meals I've had from there have been good, with the burgers hot and the chips fresh. One criticism of the branch would be it's car park is too small and is often full, particularly at weekends and during school holidays.
