McDonald's in Test Valley

I ordered a Happy meal with a modified cheeseburger, shoot fruit and toy and a steak house meal from McDonald's in Andover and you only delivered steak house burger and a shoot fruit drink. The driver was there and promised to sort it out, but ufortunately he's still gone , have passed and we're very angry.

Terrible experience. I ordered by App, and received my check-in code but it turned out that due to staffing issues the "24 hour drive through" was actually closed. I had to wait until 0600 for them to open, then I was ignored and then it took somebody nearly 5 mins to speak to me, despite it being empty. The manager then could't have cared less. When I fed back online i was basically told that there was nothing they could do about it and that they were sorry I had to wait nearly 15 mins but I couldn't even be refunded reward points!

Ordered McChicken Sandwich meal and Fish fillet meal with Apple pie as desert for takeaway through self order machine. The machine didn’t give me order number or receipt. Enquired to the Till and the order number was provided. The meal was served but when I opened the meal once I got to home, there were no French fries. The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time I was there but they still managed to screw. Partly, I should have checked my order but it is very unprofessional from Andover McDonald.

10/10 Andover Macdonalds All the food was fresh and hot. The order was correct, your restaurant was clean and your staff were polite. Now please go visit the Amesbury, Solstice Park Restaurant and show them how it’s done! Thank you

When I passed by this restaurant on sat 30th sept at 0030 in the morning, after an extremely long shift at work, hoping to get something to eat, I was extremely disappointed to find the 24hour restaurant CLOSED. It’s quite unacceptable that all he lights were on and staff inside but all locked up. Unacceptable

Chips stone cold, burger stone cold. Coke was flat and tasteless. Absolutly disgusting. Purchased at 1am so it should have all been cooked to order.

Cleanest, friendly and hot food. Staff very good and cheerful. Probably best McDonalds I’ve been in. Tables cleaned as soon as we were finished.

We had an excellent experience for our 9 year old child's birthday with his school friends. From the moment we stepped through the door an employee called James really looked after us. He made what could have been a stressful experience with 11 eight and nine year olds stress free. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I was really impressed with the level of service he gave us. McDonald's you are very lucky to have such quality of staff as James and I hope you really look after him. Thank you James for all you did for us.

I am pretty sure there is suppose to be more onion in this 🤣🤔 the one reason I buy these. I would like to suggest you not be so stingy though I did thoroughly enjoy my one slice of onion in my double quarter pounder!

Never had an issue here before but today a shambles! A breakfast roll with both brown sauce and ketchup in!! And the extra hash brown ordered and paid for wasn’t in the bag. Unfortunately I was back home when I opened the bag so couldn’t get back there to get it sorted. Shouldn’t have to though! Not difficult to get the customer’s order correct!! Just sloppy service and workmanship

Be very careful when ordering from this McDonalds, they are always getting order wrong, I have now experienced missing items from my orders 3 time now in the last 2 weeks two from the drive through and 1 via Just Eats, and the sad thing is that McDonalds on the Portway Industrial Estate and their Customer Services don’t really care, I made a complaint and all they said was these things happen. I know a number of people who have experienced similar issues recently, normally if mistakes happen they are immediately corrected but this not the cast with this McDonalds or their Customer Services, this place needs to be avoided at all costs

Bueno, ¿sabes qué ?, decidí comer adentro y resultó ser una decisión fantástica, un poco aterradora, pero realmente estuvo bien. Me invadió la emoción cuando llegué a la pantalla de pedidos. Vaya, simplemente hay tanto para elegir, debes estar preparado, ya que puede ser abrumador, sin embargo, estaba preparado porque había pasado más de una hora en línea con McMenu y, por lo tanto, sabía exactamente lo que quería. La pantalla es realmente fácil de usar e inspira confianza y la factura era bastante barata, con una increíble relación calidad-precio para lo que solo puedo describir como alimentos y bebidas de clase mundial. Una cadena como mcdonalds tiene sucursales donde quiera así que teoreticamente debería ser fácil encontrar el algun lugar para almozar pero hoy fue tan difícil hasta de repente vi el grande signo, amarrlio en la forma de letra M y entonces supe que mis suenños han sido respondidos. Después de haber estacionado mi coche fui al dentro y estaba agobiado por la sofisticacíon y esplendo de esté lugar. Antes de nada sabiá que he tenido que tomar una decisión tan importante.¿qué tener para almozar? Normalmente tomo entre quince y viente minutos para decidir pero hoy, y no lo sé por qué, todavía no pude decider después media hora. ¿Debería tener pollo o carne de vaca, panecillo franbuesa o panecillo chocolata y qúe debo beber, café, te o leche¿ Al final tenía que tener todo y fue una decisión el mejor podría haber hecho. ¿Donde empezar? Pollo divino, con papas fritas y dulce y amario. Hacía calor y sabroso. Carne de vaca, guau, nunca probé nada parecido. Mis panecillos era simplamente como un sueñno, como estando en una playa con hace calor con una brisa ligera y qué puedo decir sobre mis beberes. Perfecto y perfecto y otra vez, perfecto por la tercera vez. Cuando visitas mcdonalds sabes que es una cadena muy popular y siempre venden comida deliciosa pero sobre todo sabes que va a ser una experiencía inolvidable, uno que te inspirará y te deja jadeante.

Hay un monton de opccìones para almuerzo y es importante eliges bien. Aunque McDonald's es barato tambièn es muy sofisticado. Los menùs estan monstrado en pantallas muy largo y hay mucho platos eligir. Las medidas nuevas son suaves. A pasar de las nuevas reglas estaba una experencìa muy emocianante y inolvidable.

Panqueques disponible casa due para celebrar el dià de panqueques. Fantastico. Sabroso y no es caro.

Overcharged, rude staff, slow service and cold food. Chips came soggy, stone cold and half empty. The staff clearly weren’t interested in giving a service, they were too busy having a chat.

Service is incredibly slow. Rude staff just chatting to reach other ignoring customers. It gets worse everyone I go.

Ridiculously expensive. Fancied a slice of cheese in my pop chicken mayo burger which I had to order face 2face as the auto machines will mot allow removal of the mayo. £1.49, an extra 50p for a slice of processed cheese which is 20p at otger McDonalds. Crazy.

Had lunch here with twin toddlers, actually had a lift to get upstairs plus lots of clean highchairs complete with bibs- fantastic & very unusual in McDonalds usually. Our food was correct & served quickly & the whole restaurant was clean. Will come back again when passing through Andover.

Stayed in the local Premier Inn (next door) didn't want to pay the rip off breakfast prices at the linked Brewers fayre and delighted to have a McDonald's so close - no brainer!.Staff very efficient, quick and jolly delivering the usual great value for money breakfast menu.

Me and my boyfriend went there to get a meal as we were starving and couldn’t be bothered to cook as it was late. I got the new French stack and it was disgusting the burger meat itself was chewy, they put too much sauce on which was really overwhelming and the lettuce inside was slimy and black. We both had fries which were both still slightly frozen/uncooked and weren’t salted, at this point we were already nearly home so there was no point in going back to get our money back. Not only was the food rubbish the staff working were messing around, the woman taking our order was lovely but the guy who took our money was clearly on the phone to someone which was okay but surely shouldn’t be doing this at work and then when we collected the food the woman who handed it to us looked like she was doing everything as the others were doing nothing. Overall not happy with the food or service, to me it seems like you’re hiring young kids which I have no problem with but they just don’t seem to care about the customers or the food.

Anyone know the name of the lady working on the food collection part of the drive thru today (23rd sep) she has tattoos on her arms

Normalmente visitar en Totton McDonald's pero hoy estas Andover. Me sorprediò. £8.90 para dos platos. Solo £7.18 desde Totton para exactamente lo mismo. Comida vale pero muy caro. No volvo. Triste.

Very very slow to get through drive through and then the food was cold, really poor for a quick lunch and no chance to wait to change. Worst McD for a long time

Always like to stop here when I need a quick bite before or after meetings. Big Tasty is a favourite.

Stopped in here to get a drink. Service was quick and efficient. Area for customers tidy and clean. No complaints really. It's a McDonald's so you are supposed to get the same experience at each branch. They do that very well here.

Fast food drive through is not how it ever is! The woman tells me to wait two seconds.... I’m waiting almost 10 minutes to then have cars going through the second drive thru and being served before me when I was there before them! To then finally get some woman say go to the first window we can’t hear you and then she served the car behind me!! So when I finally get to the window to collect they tell me to wait in bay 2 which I then made my complaint to which she was down right rude and walked off! Needless to say I didn’t want to wait in bay 2 when it’s pouring of rain and they won’t bring my food out as they are too busy so waited at the window!! Incompetent EVERY time I go to the Portway McDonald’s, missed out my apple pie after confirming all was in the bag when it wasn’t! Rude and should learn some manners when they are in the wrong! Stupid girl

Stopped off for breakfast on our way back home. It's fast food so it is what it is..staff were friendly and the eating area was clean.

Lots of seating upstairs but some of the space between table and benches need looking at as it wouldn't suit the larger customer.

We ordered 16 cheeseburgers and 20 chicken nuggets. The staff were amazing. Selina and Suzi gave exceptional customer service.

Says 24 hours not the case. Drive through told to get out of car and go in via front door for service just after midnight. Front door locked staff told us that were shut. Why make us get out of cars and stand in the cold. Very rude unprofessional staff two of them and one very young manager or shift leader. Will not use this store again left with no food and now cold. If your not 24 hours then don’t advertise it shame as on average I buy for my team and spend £30+ per late night visit. One star only because I had to

Popped in hear to avoid the Portway Inn restaurant after a poor experience, usual offering from McDonalds, reasonable food at a reasonable price, nice and quick. Place was clean for a McDonalds and staff were friendly too. Although I can't stand those electronic food order points, used to be much quicker to queue and speak to a person!

Absolutely terrible service. How they can take over 15 minutes to get a straight forward order prepared only for it to be completely wrong or at least missing something. Me and my friends have stopped going there after months of putting up with it. Along with lots of other people judging by the grumpy faces of other customers.

So, it's McDonald's so you know what you're going to get. Food good as usual, drinks as always, restaurant clean. Visited on a Sunday evening and there were more staff than customers, yet they still managed to get the order wrong. They missed a side salad, a plain burger and a portion of chips, which when there were so many staff doing nothing is a bit of a joke. Just to top it off though, one of the staff over by the fries cooker kept scratching and fiddling with his privates under his apron. Fortunately he didn't handle our food, but still, this isn't really nice.

I was on my way to Brands Hatch from Cornwall and needed a break and a quick bite.

The food was good as far as fast food goes. However, when my daughter ordered chicken nuggets the dips were left out even though they were ordered. Just remember to ask before leaving the drive thru.

How difficult is it to get a food order correct. I’m sick to death of this McDonald’s each time we go there is something missing, so far they have forgotten mozzarella sticks, apple pie, burger and now tonight chips. There’s no point going back to get it as our food would get cold.

What can I say about McDonalds that hasn't already been said food wise you always get hat you'd expect at a McDonalds hygiene wise make sure that if you are disable like myself you take some hand wipes as the disabled toilet on every occasion I've been here hasn't been exactly what you would call clean and cleanliness wise leaves a lot to be desired.

Arrived just at the end of breakfast and it was still visible on hot plates and when I asked for a breakfast meal I was met with the reply that they had stopped serving breakfast and what could be seen was going to be thrown away. Doesn't figure and I wasn't the only customer that was told this. Shame!!

This is a franchise, It is well run and the staff are friendly. The food is always hot and of reasonable quality.

Hooray! At last McDonalds make food for the adults. I adore these grilled chicken peri peri wraps and think the heat level is perfect. A quick look round showa loads of people complaining its "too hot". Why on earth would anyone order food called "THE HOT ONE" and then complain that it's hot? For crying out loud, what is wrong with some people?

There are good and bad McDonalds and this is a badly run one. Go to Sparkford or solstice services for better run McDonald's

McDonald's, you either want it or you don't. And I did. Nicely cooked Burger and nuggets, does exactly what it needs to. Nice and clean place to eat.

All good and nice breakfast. Calm music and atmosphere. Just right for a first thing in the morning.

Always good for consistency, value and service. Convenient for the odd snack or drink, I think the young staff could be trained to smile and make some conversation when prompted: but then, who has time for that these days?

We took our grandchildren out for a treat. My grandson chose the hot peri peri chicken wrap knowing it would be spicy. During the meal we noticed he was sweating and drinking a lot and he said 'it is really hot'. I tried a bit...

Vine aquí de camino a visitar a la familia. Esperamos 25 minutos en el coche a través de uno de los días más calurosos del año. No tuve elección cuando yo estaba en la cola, pero a esperar. Como no podía girar? A finalmente llegar hasta el punto de pago me preguntó si estaba siempre esta larga espera en el viaje. La cajera dijo que sí! Luego fuimos a decir que 4 miembros del personal habían llamado enfermos. Si estaban luchando para arreglárselas con el paseo a través de la sección - hubiera sido más sensato que la sección debido a escasez de personal de los clientes en vez de sentarse y esperar en sus coches caliente hirviendo! ! Habiendo dicho eso, ambos miembros del personal que me atendió fue amable y pidió disculpas por la espera. Simplemente mal dirigido!

Agradable ambiente limpio y excelente comida caliente. Todo bien en esta ocasión, con personal agradable, el aparcamiento es un poco cerca de otros coches, así que es mejor aparcar en el aparcamiento del hotel en Times eróticos

Tuvimos un desayuno para llevar el domingo y nos pareció que era muy agradable. El café sabía encantador y muy caliente, el hash browns también buen sabor. Personal amable y una pantalla táctil fácil de pedido.

Have to say firstly this is not a review about the portway McDonald's , this is about the McDonald's at new street Andover, firstly why do they always ask if you want to go large when ordering a meal ? Once we got our normal meals it was very good , the only slight problem was that the latte we ordered was stone cold but the friendly staff sorted that out really quick so thumbs up for that , really good friendly staff

I had a quick lunch of Chicken Legend and milkshake. The chicken was about the hottest I have ever had in a McDonalds were in my experience meals are normally luke warm.

Double cheeseburger comes with surprise lettuce and Luke warm chipsLuke warm cheeseburger. I think timings should be reduced every serving should be hot and closer to fresh as possible. When the chips are fresh and hot they are amazing from here just what ya need after a hard days work

Just been up to treat staff for breakfast and ordered 5 double sausage and eggs muffins and a no egg version so of course sent to bay 2. Waited for food and headed back to work. Got back to work and, here we go, missing a meal.. Rang up and said missing one meal and was told that the shift manager who packed it was 99.9% positive it was correct. Well it wasn't I said so you've made a mistake. Told to come back, so not happy at all with that response and so went back where I decided on refund. I was told again he was 99.9% positive he was correct. No apology and just threw the refund at me and said you've got your money. Great. What is the world coming to when you get abuse from a McDonald's manager.

very disappointed with this branch of mcdonalds, no napkins given and no sauces given with the chicken nuggets eithercaramel frappe was full of lumps of ice, not blended well at all

we ate breakfast here on two occasions early January staff were friendly and food was nice restaurant was clean and tidy.

Typical McDonald's, easy to order your food as they have the terminals to order and pay before you get to the counter. If you prefer the interaction with staff you can just order and pay at the counter as usual. Food was OK and the restaurant was quite clean, very busy as well.

Popped in for lunch and had the special Mexican burger, it was good best of all the specials they have done recently. Coffee never has enough milk so I asked for extra and got given some sachets of milk. They were rubbish, half didn't open and then 1 went down my trousers. Just put more milk in so I can drink it whilst having meal and not 15 mins after.

Every visit is different subject to staff. Incorrect food given. Need to always double check order on the drive through and don't leave it to chance

Fantastic place to eat I've been here a few times.... usually I take food out but on a few occasions I've eaten in. Friendly staff whom like to help in whichever way they can.

Ordered double cheeseburger deli the day chips & BBQ sauce Waited 5 mins parked in bay 2 & got cold old hard chips & just warm enough burger & wrap took back for my husband just slightly warm. I live on camp across the road. Was that annoyed I didn't bother going back I will not go again & will be telling others

Stopped at the new New Street driver through for a milkshake, OMG this has to be the slowest drive through in the world! Waited more than ten minutes after paying with only two cars in front of me, seriously get a grip Ronald! The concept is fast food, did no one explain what this means!!!!

We come for breakfast, but it's been so chaotic and disorganised I regret coming here.I never use the automated system and never, ever will.The new-ish production line system is atrocious. Food is slow, the orders are wrong and items are forgotten.Spoke to a manger who was unapologetic and brusque.All in all, simply a blot on the landscape of fast food.

Been here quite a few times on way back from days out with the family my 5 year old boy loves coming to old McDonalds lol friendly staff and quick service even when busy

The lady on the drive thru could not understand what we were requesting which was incredibly frustrating. We're only from the north not some distant land!She insisted they did not do pancake (I know my maccy's breakfasts. .. They do!) Order finally completed them we waited 10 mins at the collection booth. We weren't given any napkins or sugar or milk for our drinks. Food was fine when we eventually got it.

A quick snack is all. But I don't like the automated ordering system, and I really don't like the colour of the staff uniform, which I find drab and unattractive. The staff seem to always need more training, and in my opinion are not always customer friendly.

I have eaten here 5 times now, and only had one hot meal. The burgers and chips are always cold. Will be trying a different branch from now on.

Argos style ordering system is poor - makes it even slower. Tried this place 5 times and it was bad on all visits. Food cold, staff thick as you know what! Tried the drive through as it seemed to be moving quicker but the same bad cold food was delivered - utter crap

I have been to many of those fast food places all over the world and can confidently say that this is the very worst - by some considerable marginUtter chaos- no organisation or logical ordering system - all overseen by a moronic 'Manager' who clearly was doing very little managing of the situationIt was hideous, and the experience has resulted in my telling my children that we will never,ever visit a Macdonalds again

This is our local mcdonalds and i have to say after visiting some others I forget how fantastic it is! Service is always quick and staff friendly. Generally always clean. The drive through design needs rethinking however as it can cause massive queues backing out on to the main road!

You could be anywhere in the UK or maybe the world, they provide fast food and that is what you get. The service was interesting as someone started to take our order and then suddenly said to another member member of staff take over I have to go, and off he went, The Girl who took over was in the middle of another task but apologised and served us as soon as she had finished. A customer service course perhaps for the young man.

McDonald's what a stunning investment in a terrible electronic ordering system, just reduces the poor level of customer service even further. No customer instructions you just have to try and find the items you want. Still had to wait the usual painfully slow amount of time for our food, so no improvement there.Most of the staff behind the counter looked like they had not recieved a minutes training to implement the new way of working.Eventually received our food order and proceeded to the seating area which was filthy, with food all over the floor. If this investment was supposed to improve customer experience it has failed at every level.

OMG, whoever thought up the recent store makeover needs to be retired. Cold, impersonal and no quicker. This country needs a well thought out fast food chain desperately, the new system here is awful.

You don't go to McDonald for a restaurant experience so why do people expect one?I got a cheap edible meal and nommed it like I do every time I enter a McDonald's anywhere in the world, It's not 5* food but who really cares. If I don't choke on fast food and die it's a result.

Had an early breakfast here (6.30am). It seemed that no matter how many times one asked for the order, it was wrong. Eventually I lost the will to live and succumbed to paying extra. I fear it was due to being the end of the night and staff were shattered. Anyway, the 'toasted' bagel was warmed up and soggy; some jam given but no butter or anything else. It was pretty inedible. The pancakes were fine and the tea and coffee okay. Just a shame that they could not get the order right and no end of explaining changed matters. I'm not going back in a hurry.

First visit there even though we are local, service was okay but sauce missing from my chicken and bacon salad which required us to queue again, then discovered the bacon was missing but couldn't be bothered to go back for a second time. Also no serviettes. Won't be rushing there again.

Much like every other MDs. Perhaps a little slow in service (hence the Average rating, as in 'average for MDs'), but otherwise fine. At least you knew what you'd be getting for breakfast, unlike the nearby Brewers Fayre!

Tried this for breakfast. It was not busy but only 1 slow person serving.Food was cold and very greasy, eggs burnt at the bottom so badly I could not eat them. The bacon was shrivelled up with more fat than meat.Not good.

Visited here at the weekend for a quick breakfast to find the queue almost out the door! 2 people serving and EVERYTHING being cooked to order, so basically they were managing to serve a customer every 4 minutes - kitchen was full of staff who seemed oblivious to the amount of customers waiting! I've worked at McDonalds before so know first hand that the level of service at this store is the worst I have ever experienced. When our food was finally made it was very greasy - however if we had tried to complain I fear we would have missed breakfast entirely. Avoid this place like the plague unless you just want a coffee.

I have been to this McDonald's on numerous occasions.Every single time, my order has been wrong.I now park up and wait in a queue for my meals, only way I can check them and get the order amended.I ask for 2x double sausage mcmuffin breakfasts.Not difficult, its what you charge me for!

“Lunch before a business meeting :)”5 of 5 starsReviewed 18 April 2014The very first thing that you notice about this particular Mcdonalds is how visually attractive it is from the outside. Placed in a prominent position accessible from the A303 so it’s a great stop for those driving to and from the West Country. The very next thing that I noticed long before I queued up for something to eat, was how clean it was despite the time,( 2.15pm) Evidence of a busy lunch time trade was being cleared away, and soon it was as if nothing had ever happened. The staffs that I saw were engaged in cooking, serving, or clearing and washing down.Having been many times before, I wanted to try something different before my meeting which was scheduled to take place a little later. I opted for the chicken legend with a side order of chips. It arrived promptly, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it came piping hot and looked exactly like it was supposed to  A little known fact I would imagine, is the quality of tea that Mcdonalds use. I happen to take my tea strong, and prefer obviously to drink from china cups, however if the quality of the tea is superior, you’re not so aware, that you are drinking from a carton, so McDonald’s tea is always a bonus for me. Lastly my grown up children, (I guess like most kids these days) swear by Mcdonalds, for their fast foods take away. They are pretty clued up about it, so they know that as a rule, they can get their food within five minutes from when their order is taken, unless of course, one of them wants something taken off or added, then that will slightly hold up  their order  bless them, kids are always in such a hurry these days. Despite the busyness of the restaurant there were enough seating areas upstairs for us to enjoy what we had to discuss, whilst looking out through their panoramic windows out onto the landscaped area below.Visited April 2014 The option does not allow for me to say it was April 2014

Long wait to be served at the counter this morning. Only one lady taking orders and serving. Obviously not up to speed with the order system/till. Not a good start to the day.

Eaten here many times & never really had any major problems. Staff are friendly & food is hot which makes a change. However the other evening I visited after work and was highly disappointed with the service. From walking in the door to getting served & getting food took 20-25mins, now unfortunately that's very slow for a fast food restaurant. Firstly, there was a queue half way back & only one poor girl on the till. Get to the till at last to find that the card machine screen doesn't work, have to enter your pin by guessing & listening to the beeps - quite disconcerting. Plus when there are about 5 other tills to use that are working, why go for the one that isn't? Once our order was placed, we joined the queue to wait for our food. Still had 2 customers in front of us waiting for food. The girl on the till was lovely, bubbly & very friendly. I felt very sorry for her having to put up with all this on her own all whilst the queue was getting bigger. Once we finally got our food we sat down only to realise after ordering a large meal it was actually medium sized. However after waiting so long & feeling sorry for the poor girl I decided not to complain & just eat it anyway. I'll still eat here as every other time has been great service but this was the worst experience I've had in a McDonald's unfortunately. Why on earth was there only one girl on a broken till taking orders & making drinks & packing the orders? Yes it was later in the evening but this is no excuse for a 24hr food chain. I hope this gets noted & it is better next time.

McDonald's is fast food but some are better than others and the Andover McDonald's is one of the better ones..You can tell because its always pretty busy but the service and food is still good.

Visited a few times.Cleanliness seems to be getting worse. Fast service was very slow. Food never looks like the picture. And I'm sure the 'Big Mac' is getting smaller.

It was a normal McDonald's good food good service comfy chairs and quick servings it was very tasty an I will go again

Now all Maccy D's should be alike shouldn't they? Doesn't work that way though does ? This one served an excellent breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly. Spot on !

Having asked for no mayo and being told that there was no mayo included in Big Tasty with bacon I was not pleased to find that mayo was indeed included.

I would not normally go to McDs for breakfast but this week we have issues that meant that this was the easiest option. First morning they forgot to add the syrup for the pancakes. This morning more items missing from the big breakfast and the cups were not marked so had no idea which one was latte. So thinking that they could at least get an easy order correct we called in the other evening on the way home to pick up 2 CRUNCHIE McFlurrys. Got home to find one was an Aero and one a Diary milk!! Not even 2 the same.Whoever runs this place obviously has very little idea of how things work. A lot more staff training needed.

The very first thing that you notice about this particular Mcdonalds is how visually attractive it is from the outside. Placed in a prominent position accessible from the A303 so it’s a great stop for those driving to and from the West Country. The very next thing that I noticed long before I queued up for something to eat, was how clean it was despite the time,( 2.15pm) Evidence of a busy lunch time trade was being cleared away, and soon it was as if nothing had ever happened. The staffs that I saw were engaged in cooking, serving, or clearing and washing down.Having been many times before, I wanted to try something different before my meeting which was scheduled to take place a little later. I opted for the chicken legend with a side order of chips. It arrived promptly, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it came piping hot and looked exactly like it was supposed to  A little known fact I would imagine, is the quality of tea that Mcdonalds use. I happen to take my tea strong, and prefer obviously to drink from china cups, however if the quality of the tea is superior, you’re not so aware, that you are drinking from a carton, so McDonald’s tea is always a bonus for me. Lastly my grown up children, (I guess like most kids these days) swear by Mcdonalds, for their fast foods take away. They are pretty clued up about it, so they know that as a rule, they can get their food within five minutes from when their order is taken, unless of course, one of them wants something taken off or added, then that will slightly hold up  their order  bless them, kids are always in such a hurry these days. This business has surely got to rank amongst the worst of the worst McDonalds franchise outlets'. It is probably a couple of years old now and therefore established, but if you are passing trade, you might be forgiven for thinking that they had actually only opened the day before your visit. They are disorganised, rude and unprofessional. You'd think that as a resident of Andover, that I'd have learnt my lesson on at least one of the previous occassions that I have had my arm twisted to visit there. However, it seems that I am not as bright as I'd like to think I am! First, you drive to the site, a drive thru, situated just off the A303 and sitting on land that is on the outskirts of Andover and the West Portway Industrial Estate. It looks new and has a very modern exterior that belies the level of service that you will ultimately subject yourself to. On approach, you are asked by a tremedously surly individual to state your order without so much as a, 'good afternoon, day, evening,' or even a please or thank you. After giving your order, you are then instructed to drive to the window to pay for your purchase. Here, at this window, you are generally met with an unwelcome glare of contempt that serves to reinforce that it was not your imagination that the order taker was quite surly, because here he is, in the flesh, glowering and and angry! '£11.35', pardon? '£11.35'. No please, no thank you, just, 'go to the next window to collect your order.' So, now I am thinking should I pull this fella up for his attitude and impolite treatment of me, a customer whose trade indirectly pays his wages. No, I want some fast food, a quick getaway is all that I now want and to put this repeat episode behind me for another few months. I duly drive to the next window and my drinks are thrust into my hand and I am told that my food is being, 'freshly cooked' for me. I thought, 'this will be a first from here.' Every other time I have visited, arrived home (a 7 minute drive away) and unpacked my food, it is cold and hard and barely edible. So, I thought it might make a nice change to have something from here that was 'freshly cooked.' However, I was told that to earn this level of service that I had to find a place to park up first! This was at around 1430 and there was no traffic in front of me, behind me and yet the staples, 3 quarterpounders and a hamburger were not immediately available? In a fast food outlet? This has happened to me on each and every occasion that I have visited here, morning, noon and night. I have complied every tome previously and even though I have, after arriving home I find that my food has always been poorly presented and cooked. As stated previously, the fries have always been cold and the burger edges hard and cold. However, by the time you drive home, you just cannot be bothered to return because of the effort involved. They rely on the lethargy of their customers. Anyway, I was asked, which was something of an improvement on the instruction that the order taker and money taker barks at customers, to park in the car park. I asked the young lady whether this was actually a fast food outlet or not and she insisted that it most definitely was. I enquired why in that case, on each and every occasion that I have visited that I have had to wait in a car park for my food, which defeats the whole notion of a 'drive thru.' If I had wanted a day out, I would have driven to Bournemouth or the New Forest, I simply wanted to buy some fast food, however gross, have it given to me immediately as one would anticipate, and to leave as quickly as possible so that I can get home, eat it and put the episode behind me. It was then that Miss 'White shirt' appeared at the window, clearly having told the young lady serving me that she would deal with this troublesome oik. Well, she bit off something that was just a little tougher than the inedible burgers that they sell here. I doubt that she will have quite the same aggressive demeanour that seems to run through this entire outlet again! Be warned, this is possibly the worst for customer experience and product that I have experienced in any McDonalds restaurant, and perhaps I shouldn't boast, but I have travelled much of the world and have through necessity given in to my hunger and used McDonalds in most parts of the world, believe me, this place is most definitely the worst. I left with a refund and in return provided a few words of wisdom!
