Great museum. Truly terrible cafe. Surly, rude staff dripping with poor attitude. Menu clearly states baps “available all day”. Asked for bap at 2:35pm. Was told that hot food was over at 2:30pm. Pointed out the sign saying “available all day”. Was told that the kitchen had stopped. Pointed out that there were over a hundred people attending an event at the museum - a decent captive audience and source of revenue. Was told that was the reason the kitchen had stopped. Pointed out that he said it was because it was after 2:30. He shrugged. Ten minutes later saw same staff eating hot food outside on the balcony. So they’re liars as well as incompetents. Due the excellent museum and overview of the airfield, the staff clearly feel that they don’t need to try. Can’t judge the food as we didn’t get any. Thyme and Tides is a five minute drive away towards Salisbury. It was excellent.

Myself, Kenneth, Martin, Dermo & Captain Jim visited here on our monthly breakfast and 10 pin bowling club day out. We like aeroplanes and the scientific aspect of flight itself so thought we would give this place a visit and have a look around whilst we were here. There’s a lovely old tank that greets you in the car park and the weeds were at a minimum, in-fact it’s one of the cleanest car parks I’ve ever seen, well done to the team on that. The cafe is situated around the side of the building and set on the first floor next to the museum itself. We all had the spitfire special. Not one of the best breakfasts we’ve had, but by no means the worst. Did take quite a while from order to the plate being delivered to the table to be honest and I think this is why a few items were on the cold side. I must be honest the mushrooms were not very nice either, straight from the tin, maybe they could infest in potting area, and produce some fresh vegetables, and ingredients for the breakfast there’s plenty of room there. The condiment situation needs improvement aswell! Very limited selection, poor quality and you have to ask, as the are small sachets situated behind the tilling area. This is a very important part of a breakfast, and our advice would be greatly improve this area asap. The coffee was nice, but the cold drink selection was poor. The cutlery was good and the knife and fork felt comfortable in your hand. After the breakfast we went to the toilet. Again could do with some improvement, they felt a bit like a toilet you would find in a school, and not very relaxing for a after breakfast poo, Dermo was not impressed. All in All, this is a nice place, and a wonderful location. We found the staff to be friendly only a little slow on cooking time. The cakes were also very dry.

Great location, plenty of inside and outside seating options overlooking the airfield. Ypu do not need to enter the museum - the cafe access is to the right of the building ie no entry fee. Families, cyclists, motorcyclists, all welcome and a play patk for the children. Friendly and welcoming staff, delicious breakfast baps and teas, we shall return, thank you very much 😊

Sadly on both recent visits staff have been unhelpful and rude - on one occasion half an hour before closing they mopped the floor around our feet - with no regard to safety of customers walking on wet floors! We will not visit again - such a shame as it lets down the brilliant museum

Used to be able to get a nice simple bacon roll here. All they serve now ate breakfastbaps shoved full of sausages eggs bacon and s hash brown for twice the price. Very unhealthy, just a cholesterol test, and it looks unappetizing and vulgar.

A lovely cafe attached to the army museum. Has brilliant views of the air field! Staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. If they don't have something on the menu they are more than accommodating with substituting it with something else. I've been a handful of times now and I can honestly say it's a lovely clean, friendly, quick place to get a snack while visiting the museum!

Sorry to say cafe & staff let down the wider museum. Which is a great shame. The cake is great but it is the only thing.

The menu does not cater for different dietary needs. I didn’t fancy a large meal of fish and chips or a burger. The sandwiches all contained cheese. No good if like me you’re dairy free or vegan. I thought I might like a jacket potato but again fillings limited… you guessed it you can have it with cheese! How about some salads and different sandwich fillings?

Busy Sunday in all fairness, but for an in-house facility serving a venue like this that shouldn't come as a surprise. Coffee options shown on the board should reflect the pricing and what you'd expect. A Flat white shouldn't look like a latte. The breakfast offering was beyond bland. Bacon was pale, sausages were almost inedible and we were told tomato, part of the advertised menu, wasn't available. Glad we arrived before 11ish as a group that came shortly after were told that there was no more breakfast. Not great, but easily fixable. The cafe is in a great position, lovely decking and otherwise excellent. Sort out the food and it's worth a visit.

Turned up to the Museum literally in passing on my way to Salisbury in the glorious late April sunshine. A great spur of the moment decision I did not regret. The Museum normally prefer pre-booked tickets, however, the Museum entrance lady staff member was accommodating and accepted my entrance fee there and then as it was quiet that day. A nice gesture for sure which set the tone as the rest was a brilliant museum experience with well laid out literary information and interaction for all ages. The aircraft and associated information on display for a first time visitor was just to much for me to take in for one day, especially the new Apache Helicopter visitor interaction station - take that as a compliment. The best however was the Museum Cafe, situated on the first floor overlooking the Airfield. A Sandwiches, Crips, Cake and Tea lunch was served by a prompt, efficient young woman who seemed only too happy to help. Hot and cold food was available served at a reasonable price. The tables inside were well spaced and general Cafe appearance being fresh and clean. The table benches outside on the veranda were of a 'pub style' and in a reasonable condition. Even better in the Sun! Well done Army Aviation Museum Team and Cafe crew!

Used the cafe as part of a mueseum visit , freindly staff had coffee a beef pasty and a cheese and onion pasty cost £9 about std for museum grub but all very tasty and hot. Rainy windy day so no flying outside but you can see on a good day this would be a definite plus .

A paper cup of hot water with a tea bag and a part full paper cup of machine coffee for almost £5 is not good value! It used to be much better but has become very expensive and more like a roadside cafe than a museum standard facility. Never again…..

You don’t have to pay to enter the museum to go into the cafe, it has it’s own entrance. Friendly lady serving. Basic menu but nice and quick service. We had a coffee and a bacon roll. You can sit inside or outside on the balcony bit. Great place to watch the planes taking off.

This cafe is attached to the museum but you do not need a ticket as can be accessed externally. Prime position with a high terrace to be able to watch activities on the airfield. Carpark and memorial also accessible. But this could be such a destination food place as little nearby, however offerings are limited to burger and chip style and reheated pies and pasties of poor quality. Coffee at barista price is just horrible. Cakes were more promising options. No healthy options or dietery specials.

Functional no frills cafe within Army Flying Museum - but can be accessed without going into museum or paying. Would rather give my money for a quick coffee to any not-for-profit if possible. They do filter coffee - yippee! None of that standing around waiting...
