Ordered using the screen at rownhams services. I has the 5 nuggets, skaw salad and a coffee. I didn’t notice a number on my order so went ant told the lady at the counter, you do add your name so she said she would call my name but didn’t give me my number. After about 20 minutes I asked if my order was coming, ‘sorry, the nuggets take 10 to 15 minutes’ After 30 minutes I went up again and my order was put together. She said well your Americano is there, that coffee had been there for about 15 minutes, she said she had called the number (the number I didn’t know) and said Americano…..it could have been anyones americano. She offered to make a fresh one, when that was done, she handed it to me without adding milk, I asked about milk and she said ‘it’s an Americano, it doesn’t have milk’. As part of the ordering process it asks what milk you want which I told her, she again said it doesn’t have milk and then asked it I wanted milk. I was given the rest of my order and sat down with my wife who had ordered McD’s and already finished her McD’s. I got the coffee, the nuggets but was given waffle fries. I went back and rather than accepting what I had said, she said that was you order, I said I ordered slaw not fries. She asked for the number I didn’t know, I reminded her I didn’t know it and she took my name again. She started reading out my order clearly expecting it to have been my mistake, then acknowledged I had ordered slaw. Back to the table and I bit into my first nugget it was nasty, a very thin bit of chicken and a thick gluten free coating. I tried another, thicker nugget, it was thicker because it had more coating, not more chicken. I didn’t eat any more, I also left most of the slaw although it was ok, the coffee was ok too. Terrible service and the main part of the meal was not worth eating, a waste of 10.48. I thought I was getting better quality, tastier food but no, a disappointment.

The man at the back (older with a balding head) who was preparing the food, did so with his bare fingers. Slapping on the cheese as he had a chat with a woman walking around the kitchen. He threw the old looking buns in the toaster and pulled out patties out from a tray COLD. Then covered it in sauce barely looking as he continued his conversation. As he chucked out my order he leaned over the serving rack. I couldn't eat the food as I was horrified at it's preparation, not to mention it be STONE COLD. This franchise is clearly under observed and the standards are despicable.

Great place to stop on route. Good food and service. Very clean and pleasant as service stations go. Only downside was it only has 4 ev charging points (2x 7kw and 2x 50kw), so expect to wait for them to become avaible at busy times.

Went to Rownan’s Services today and rather than do the obvious Macy Dees went for the Leon option, big mistake. Expensive, not very nice and very small potions. The electronic advertising is not clear and initially I ordered a salad, (not that the menu said so,) so I asked to change it to the same as my wife’s (very quickly before it was served) which was a Christmas themed Massanman Curry. When we sat down to eat, my portion of curry was noticeably less than my wife’s, which very meagre in its self.( payback) Yes I should have complained at the time but we had our Granddaughter with us (who had gone for the Macy De)e) and wasn’t till later we checked in receipt and a warm can of Coke was £1.70 coffee £2.99 + £7.95 for 2 rubbish curry’s !!

Never visited to Leons before. Friendly service and delicious food. Great service. If we come to these services again I will definitely visit Leons again. Thank you
