Food usual McDonald’s standard. Limited range of drinks available. Counter service incredibly slow for ‘fast’ food though staff pleasant and working hard

Very disappointed to overhear a more senior member of staff encouraging trainees to tell customers to leave 5 star reviews with the suggestion of some potential prize or reward. Fine to ask customers to leave reviews, as many companies do, but pressuring customers to leave 5 stars is completely unacceptable. Taking into consideration my own experience and the other ratings on google and other review platforms, I do not believe that this is deserved for this restaurant.

Brilliant motorway services with the cleanest toilets and most friendly staff I’ve ever encountered. Everyone was so friendly. Had a simple McDonald’s for late lunch and the food was hot and served with a smile. Particular thanks to the cleaners of the ladies loos. They were pristine clean and smelled amazing. Thanks for your work. Really appreciate it.

Came to mcdonalds to try it out hadn't been to this services b4 to eat was surprised the prices where the same as any mcdonalds giving it was located In a services so get 5 stars for that, the view is beautiful nice big windows and tables close to the windows 5 stars for that, staff friendly has never been to busy when we have been so served pretty quickly 5 stars for that the only thing that lets this place down big style is they do not clean good enough seats are dirty I always bring my own things to clean tables anywhere I go but I have been here 3 times now and not once seen anyone take a cloth or spray to a table the toddler high chairs need jet washed too its a shame because it's this that let's it down so 1 star was lost for that get a good cleaner in and your place would be perfect

The food quantity was outstanding, chips were cooked and salted to perfection, nice and crunch chicken nuggets and hot food very impressed. Worth the wait All McDonalds should be at this standard

With most Motorway Service Area facilities grossly overpriced it is good to find reasonably priced food and coffee. Quick service, cheerful staff, excellent breakfast porridge and good coffee. The absence of the usual piped overloud music is appreciated.

Absolutley ragin after arivving here, not only is the bit got very bad hygiene, the staff were rude and unwelcoming/ we pit in a order wich took around roughly 30 mins for 4 people, the absolute imbossiles couldnt work a drink machine. we ordered 3 oasis and 1 coke, when we recieved our order after half an hour they had managed to put 4 cokes in/ absolutley disgraceful from them and the audacity of the manager to tell us the order was right but to get out. DISRGRACEFULL

Just went in for 2 McFlurrys and 1 tea. Waited 20 minutes and could see the order lying there. Lots of staff and orders piling up. Very unorganised and when a very polite complaint was put into the manager manager he was verbally aggressive. Give it a miss.

Slow slow and slow. Snails pace, cold food and apology. Fast food took 25 minutes , very disappointing

Ordered three different burgers everyone cold only the fries were hot.staff standing around talking could literally see my food going cold.

Food really cold chips, burger, mcchicken sandwich,Wrap dry and next to no sweet chili on a sweet chili wrap. 2nd visit in a week waiting times could be better sorry

Considering the circumstances the service wasn’t too bad. Must have been one of the busiest Saturdays of the year. Only downside was that due to numbers the Services was regulating entry to the centre so had to queue to get in inc. the toilets

No other words for this, they are terrible, they don’t clean any of the screens that you order on which they should do especially at the moment, they are unimaginably slow, and my order completely wrong.

A well organised covid routine for this busy mcdonalds located in the annandale services. Food freshly cooked and hot good on the ball staff.

If you are looking for a quick stop for food go elsewhere. We order a Big Mac and some chips and have been waiting more than half an hour. Staff do not apologise for delay. I understand that a lot of people stop by especially at peak times but they need more staff and a bigger complex. Very disappointed as you would think a service station would have fast service. Worst McDonald’s I have been to in a while. Would highly not recommend.

Floors absaloutley disgusting, tables dirty cold chips and soggy chicken nuggets. Definitely the worst experience I have ever had in any McDonalds. If heading south definitely wait until you get to Carlisle.

Always best to have low expectations at McD's. Just need the food to be ok, seating area clean and the service to be relatively prompt. Burgers lazily assembled (sauce and salad administered by, I assume, blindfolded staff), all tables dirty and service ridiculously slow. All customers standing there funing at how long their dinner was taking. However, as most were in too much hurry, no time to complain, which may have been a deliberate tactic. Best avoided.

Absolutley awful service.20 minutes! Ordered a vegie burger and fries, it took 20 minutes for my number to be called.Staff offered a disinterested half apology. Manager wondering around like the cat that got the cream but offering no guidance to staff or customers. Fries were cold but there was no way I could afford to wait any longer. On my visit to McDs at Johnstonebridge on Saturday the 8th of September 2018 I was appalled to see one of the counter staff behind the counter with a packet of cigarettes and a mobile phone in her hand she put the phone and cigarettes on a counter where the food was being prepared and proceeded to serve and at no time did she attempt to wash her hands a manager came round and spoke to her but said nothing about what she had in her hand if this is how this restaurant practices hygiene i for one won’t be back there anytime soon in my order the chips where cold and the cola definitely wasn’t cola bad advert for McDs

having just poppd in for breakfast and waited 20mins i got half my order which was cold...9 quid for bacon roll cup tea hash brown ...staff are so drab ...stay well away

Have been calling in at these services for many years and usually pick up drinks from this branch of Mcdonalds however the last four visits I have come out empty handed as the milkshake machine is never working. This visit I asked for 1 latte 1 tea and a mcflurry, no chance as "nice but dim" server said machine not working, smoothy I asked? Nar machine not working. Milkshake? Nar machine not working. It's the same every visit so will not go again, they make you feel like you're interrupting their day. We actually come off now and go a bit further down the b7076 to the Lockerbie Truck Stop what a difference a few miles make, they actually do give a **** about customers and way better food and drink.

Poor service. Cold food. Get something from Costa or whsmiths. The choices are limited on the road, but do yourself and avoid this McDonald's.

Calorific salt overload gunk! But it fills that calorific, salt overload gunk gap when you need it! Coffee is not bad - better than costa. Service is fairly slick and doughnuts are pretty damn good.

4th visit in the last month, never at peak times but the que is always at least 15 strong they are the slowest servers ever! Around the 25min mark

Este lugar es muy concurrido y por desgracia no estaba lleno con un montón de asientos. Es muy lento y no es ideal si tienes prisa. No había suficiente personal en tratar con muchas órdenes. Ten cuidado con el pequeño chico que divide la una cola en dos y se traslada a la más larga cola. Pasó dos veces.

this is fine if you choose the right time other wise you could be in for a long wait for your fast food

Busy service station and not enough staff to cope, looked tired, it needed a clean up and freshening.

Nos alojamos en el Days Inn de al lado y que aquí por un alimento para el desayuno. nunca hemos estado en McDonalds para desayunar, así que fue una aventura. Debo decir, muy impresionados. agradable y servicial personal joven (somos dos antiguas codgers), comida encantadora, bien cocinada. tamaño de porción era un poco conservador, pero eso es obviamente una decisión empresarial así que no es un problema local. en general, vale la pena probarlo.

no problem with staff as they get penny's to stand and take orders but this place is shocking for being slow i have been maybe ten times and waited over 40 mins for a kids meal. i am not sure whats going on here as it must be food to order as i was waiting for 40 mins when i needed to get my kids a fast snack before we went our travels. McDonald should be in and out thats fast food . its honest faster to drive 10 miles and get food in lockerbie than the time you get the food to you here. the worst thing is you have to stand and there's about 100 people gathered around 2 tills and then people in the costa coffe place bumping into you. they should fill every till and have you wait no longer than 10 mins . also this is a nice part of Scotland and for some reason people seem to lazy to get out of there cars and put rubbish in bins the road down to mcdonalds is a disgrace with litter and mcdonalds bags even 3 miles away in feilds that the cows must be eating. and cola bottles filled with urine lying in the side verge as truckers cant be bothered or don't know how to use a toilet. i know its truckers as there's a very good guy who spends his time cleaning up all the litter with his grandson and sits the bottles all out in a row for the people to pick up this guy finn is a credit to Scotland trying to keep out stunning country tidy he must be heartbroken to wake up every day and see mcdonalds rubbish lying from one end of the village to the other. there should be some sort of on the spot fine for this as there has been reports of rats in the wild growth feeding of mcdonalds rubbish. also i am not sure but it seems the police there have nothing better to do than stop anyone for silly silly reason making the place uncomfortable. my brake light bulb went out there and then i cant see into the future so i did not know my bulb would pop but the big fancy boys toys 4x4 lights come on and i get bundled in the bag of the jeep a lecture like a 2 year old about the dangers of a missing brake light very sad to be honest as i said give me 2 seconds and i will go and buy one and fit it from the petrol station. that was not good enough i had to get a form and take it to a mot fitter to put a bulb in and i was lucky not to get a 60 pound fine i got told. i have seen a lot in my time and i don't have dealings with the police but it make me wonder why so many people stand off them as they don't help themselves with petty things like that and i have been told the same thing by about 50 locals . i think the police bosses should go a wee run down to mcdonalds to see that Scotlands finest spend there day catching al capones at mcdonalds or maybe there there to book the staff for being so slow. mcdonalds and sneeky police spoil a nice place. not a dig at police just facts ask the petrol staff they moan all the time about the police sneeking behing bushes you are scared you slip on ice in case they jump out of the bushes and think you have maybe been drinking. they can cause a accident because they hide in bushes so you nearly crash when you see them in case you are picking your nose or something.

When you arrive you usually have to queue for half an hour because there is only 2 tills on. Staff here can only deal with one customer at a time, they dont have runners which is unusual, this would help the staff on the tills. They always have to wait on food to be made and staff gather round the grill bit waiting on the food for each customer. Staff talk to each other while serving so you can catch up on what they did on saturday night. All in all poor service, food is good.....when you get it.Needs a good shake up!

Used to stay at Annandale a lot and loved it. But stopped for lunch last week and what a shock we had - a beautiful location completely spoiled by a fast food outlet. We have always found the accommodation at Annandale excellent even when Premier sold it to Days inn it was always clean and comfortable. Simply stopped for lunch and the choice was Costa or MacDonalds and the restaurant is so dark and dismal with a huge Costa in the middle that a lake view is hard to be had. MacDonalds was surprising inefficient. Admittedly it was a Saturday but the queue was long and slow moving and lots of complaints could be heard. I asked for a grilled chicken salad as was stated on the menu. We got no chicken was the abrupt and ungrammatical reply. The manager overheard and went to find chicken. I then proceeded to start again and asked for a grilled chicken salad. Sandwich or a wrap the girl snapped. I said no - It is a salad I would like please. I need to know if it's a sandwich or a wrap. It was only upon asking to speak to the manager again that I finally got what I asked for. No wonder the queue was miles long. and the chicken salad had four small pieces of chicken in it and the rest was lettuce. Not worth the hassle. Have had ten years of great visits here. That was the last.

Appalling service. Asked for a grilled chicken salad. We got no chicken snapped the waitress. The manager went to look and appeared with chicken. I asked again for salad. Sandwich or wrap snapped the waitress. I said neither please I would like salad. She continued to ask if it was Sandwich or wrap until I asked for the manager again. He finally pointed out to her that a salad was on the menu. Believe me it wasn't worth the wait. Four tiny pieces of chicken and the rest was lettuce. Queues were long and many people were complaining. Give it a miss

I was pleased to see McDonalds open at this services at first the first time I went I waited 15 mins and the secind 35 mins!! So much for fast food. The guy serving my queue was on his own so understandabky was slower than tne ones with two staff. However I stead of the the other staff helping him get through his queue as well they just kept serviing new customers. A furious customer having been left by so long... espcially was the person serving the new customers and leaving his staff to struggle was the manager! Problems there

Standard McDonalds fayre, fairly unexciting, but at least open 24 hours if, like me, you'd normal evening meal times.

Absolutely useless.Food was good for me as with any McD's all the same but the staff, well just slow, too slow, because they have a captive audience they perform badly. I wouldn't recommend wanting a quick bite here. bl00dy ru88i$h.So if any McD's managers are out there, sort this lot out.Please.
