My visit was to retrieve my car that broke down very near your services it was my son who broke down 2 days before and went in for a coffee and some help and he met the duty manager Keith and he went above and beyond to help my son get a lift to catch a train at Carlisle so he can make his journey to Manchester and that gave me great peace of mind and if you don’t mind me saying Keith seems to me to be a great assets to your business and I wish a lot more folk were like him so keep up the great work

Passed 4 or 5 services stations that were all bk ones, didn't want that. We ended up stopping at gretna services as my partner was getting tired. Was delighted to see chopstix there. I had the small box with a half and half rice and noodles base topped with sweet and sour chicken, my partner had the large box with half and half but the large box comes with 2 toppings. He had Thai green curry and a potato dish ( he can't remember what it was ) Both were absolutely delicious and piping hot. Chicken was juicy and succulent. The small box looks quite small but there's plenty in it. I managed half and brought the rest home for tea. Will definitely be back

Stopped to grab a coffee and use the bathroom. I met Shona, a completely nuts Australian lady responsible for the toilets, which were immaculate. Quite possibly the cleanest service station toilets I've ever been in. Shona is an awesome human and a great laugh, a credit to your team.

I am here 8 nights a month as a HGV driver. I have stayed at many services along the motorways as part of my job. This one I particularly like staying at. The showers are clean, the staff are brilliant who always work hard. The cleaners are always on the go, they all seem happy to work here. The staff at Starbucks are brilliant not a bad word to say about any of them. Keep up the great work. My colleagues say the Burger King is the best in the country. Bold statement but if they are happy who am I to judge!

We stopped over for loo and lunch break got some sandwiches and drinks and some snacks toilets where clean and tidy and well maintained

Nothing much to day but expensive fuel long waits and a mcdonalds that's overpriced so we skipped it and found a great place 25 mins further up in Lockerbie to eat

Just wanted to mention Carly who not only had a lovely attitude with me but with every customer who came in. Helpful, friendly and welcoming. She is really great asset to Starbucks. Well done Carly.

The Good Breakfast was really bad, one older lady at the till was very, very rude to me and my husband, her attitude was appalling, she put through our full English breakfast and we were honest enough to say there was black pudding on the plate, she huffed and was shaking her head and shouted out 'I need to cancel this now' I said oh I'm sorry but you should have looked at the plates before putting it through the till, I'm not like this but she really got my back up, when I got my cup of tea she spilt it all over the tray and just huffed and didn't clean it up or even say sorry... But we thought the breakfast was lovely, shame about the staff, we won't be going to that place again, yet when we went in to WH Smiths shop the lady couldn't have been any nicer, not all people in the Scottish service station are like that one lady, there is always one bad apple that spoil it.

Burger King is poor, Service was ok but the food very poor and expensive. Bread rolls on the burgers fall to pieces im assuming they are about three weeks old, frozen and thawed as required. Chicken nuggets dry as a welders gloves, disappointing to say the least, drive on to the next one best advice i can give.

Busy services. Toilets ok. Visited the canny scot shop which was great. KFC was ok, one great piece of chicken, one very greasy piece of chicken but quick service.

Stopped after a long drive hoping to enjoy a full breakfast but the breakfast restaurant closes at 12 and only had jacket potatoes left. Opted for KFC, tremendously busy and only two girls serving. Waited 25 mins. KFC gave us the wrong food but we didn’t have time to re-order and wait again. Got a table which was clean and the man looking after that area was very friendly and polite. Toilets were clean. Won’t be calling there on return journey. Too busy and understaffed.

We stayed over night at the local hotel and included a breakfast before we travelled on this was The Good Breakfast. When we got there the tables were dirty, flies everywhere and bins overflowing. The staff were very rude and everything to do with our breakfast order seemed to be too much trouble, for example not having beans on some of the plates we weren’t asking for anything different just not including certain food on certain plates.. who knew it was a take it or leave it kinda restaurant!! When they screamed our food was ready for collecting at the counter we asked for cutlery and we were told they didn’t have time to wash any so use the wooden ones… would a dishwasher not be a good investment?. meanwhile a man in a dress shirt and trousers walked about the area lifted the odd tray and then began scraping chewing gum of the floor from the main foyer. Perhaps cleaning the filthy food hall would have been more helpful. Avoid!!

We ordered 2 traditional breakfasts at “The Good Breakfast” I asked if one of the breakfasts could be without tomatoes and mushrooms, with an extra egg instead. The lady on the till muttered under her breath about it being complicated (not fair) and that she’d need to write it down (good idea). At that point the other lady came to the lady at the till and said very loudly “when we’re busy with a queue like this we don’t alter breakfast orders, unless it’s without beans”. I felt very embarrassed about this in terms of how this was communicated to the lady on the till - she could and should have not shouted out that direction. If she’d spoken to us and explained what they could or could not do, that would have been ok. Luckily this isn’t our first trip to Scotland, so we know how wonderful Scots are. If this was someone’s first trip they could be forgiven for thinking that this first impression would be the same for all Scots. We won’t be eating there again. Very disappointed.

Me and my dad stopped for a coffee at Starbucks, greeted by Hollie and Katy! Fab girls and a credit to the Starbucks company…. Helps that they make great coffees too

Incredible improvement since my last visit. At no point have I seen anyone sweeping the floor then using the same brush to sweep the litter off a table where people were eating. Well done on the improvement. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Because our favourite pitstop had ceased trading ( Lockerbie Truck Stop ) we succumbed to stopping here, and tried “ the good breakfast” er anything but! Egg not fully cooked, cold beans, swimming in grease!
