McDonald's in York

Ordered just a coffee, nipped to the loo which was filthy, and smelly. Coffee came eventually and it was cold, no froth on the cappuccino, more like a tepid Americano. Admittedly, it's an exception as it is usually good coffee, but please sort the loo's

Terrible employees were rude and food was bad sticky and forgot my fries and Barbecue Toilet are a mess and homeless people outside knocking on the window. One star review

What a surprise. It's just like a McDonald's. You get what you expect, but only slower.

Food is decent enough. Service isn't friendly at all and slow. Atmosphere is horrendous seeing as staff leave beeping going off non stop in the kitchen.

It was quite busy, toilets out of use, queue for drive in huge so went in to order it took ages and then found parts of it cold will avoid in future

This is one of their nicer outlets for seating but it's let down by not being tidied up regularly.

I had 2 orders 1 came and a manager gave it to me. We'll more like dropped it on counter and turned away. Did not even speak apart from nu.ber. the younger lady who did the main order was extremely pleasant and showed more of a customer service.

Absolutely vile place working area is disgusted very disappointed staff members are horrible , waiting time for a wrap was 30 mins disgraceful and all they do is chit chat away don’t come here there all useless people

Not only did it take ages to come the order was wrong meaning that I had paid £10 for 4 chicken nuggets place is a joke

The price of McDonald's food keeps going up. We used to go as a treat but now the cost is on par with proper food in a pub. I'll be using Tim Hortons instead in the future as it is much better value. Well done to the staff who are always working hard to fulfill the orders.

Clean but not too tidy, and the staff seemed more interested in entertaining their friends than serving. I'm back for a second go, and it was much better this time.

Wiring near by, needed a Mcdonald to sort me out, long day ahead.

Made the mistake of ordering from this McDonald's 3 times, each time the food is freezing and has been missing items, this issue was resolved the first time it happened however has not been the case the following 2 times it's happened, I will no longer order from here and I advise everyone else to order from an alternative McDonald's if possible or find somewhere else

Came through the drive though, ordered a happy meal for my little sister. The happy meal box was barely closed and open at the bottom aswell as not having a toy in it. I went through the drive through again left at the window for 10 minutes so I went into the store, to ask if they could change it.. the staff which were unseen started to complain. We were the only people in McDonald’s

Drive thru not that busy but incredibly slow for breakfast. It looks like they are making one order at a time. I'm at the service window and have time to write this. Huge line behind me now that has built up slowly. We're back! This time, cheeseburger plain seems to mean no cheese, and triple cheeseburger no pickle means no pickle and no mustard. Ok this should be my last visit. If I come back here it's my own fault. Drive thru order a plain cheeseburger but with cheese and ketchup. After back and forth we agree that what I need is cheeseburger "ketchup only", which is what appears on the screen. We get on the road and the cheeseburger has the full house of mustard and pickles. One ten year old without lunch. Thanks mcdurbrains.

Decent location and usually pretty consistent

Fries were Luke warm. Burgers were tasteless. Took them back and had replacement fries which were unsalted. Server didn't speak just gave the fries, guess they get that a lot. Restaurant and toilets were clean.

Incredibly slow service. Cold fries, and a suspiciously badly thrown together burger. Half of the contents missed the bun.

People kicking off at the desk for wrong food orders, every table filthy no staff around and toilets dirty with no toilet roll. It’s a quiet Monday afternoon and I’ve come to take my daughter for lunch. This McDonald’s is by far the worst, always getting orders wrong, no care and dirty

Do not order through app or in-store around midnight. Systems rebooting is one thing but being told to go in-store after putting in an order for drivethru collection is another. Made to stand around for 20mins while staff running around seemingly acting busy and doing their best to avoid eye contact (after order placed and told to go inside) is something I’ve never come across at any establishment before. Ignored by staff for nearly 30mins before we got the saddest looking maccies ever served with cold, sponge-like fries and dry burgers. Safe to say we’ve had better.

Atrocious place. Extremely slow service, cold food, incorrect order received. Staff standing around not doing a great deal while the customers wait for orders, and the place needs tidying and cleaning. What is the manager managing?

Decent McDonald’s always use the drive through

Waited 26mins for order even though not really busy they seem to be more bothered about deliveroo orders ordered burger with no pickles even had sticker on but had pickles this must be the worst macdonald's round here there's been something wrong every single time I've been here and don't get me started on delivery I've never had an order right yet

Slowest drive through in the history of McDonald's. 3 cars, small orders, 15+ minutes. Seems like too much volume from delivery services and not enough staff

Our food was stone cold ... we were travelling so went through the drive through so was unable to sort it out what a waste of money as we couldn't eat what we got!!!

The hygiene in this restaurant, is horrendous. Staff using there phones (imagine the amount of germs on the phone screen) and then making food. Seems to be a constant theme , that after 9pm , the managers seem to stop caring and let the staff do what they like. When I come in earlier , the managers and staff , look like they actually care.

Drive through was great but getting out of the site took ages too cramped road and parking system.

Apparently 1 and a half burgers, on a double quarter pounder, is an acceptable thing to hand a customer, manager is probably not going to do nothing, although he was feet away when I requested to see him, he flew around the corner and sent one of his minions. Fries were soggy and get this, the milkshake was warm.

Nice sized Macdonald's. Parking a bit awkward and getting back out into traffic not the easiest.

Unfortunately this is probably the worst McDonald's in York. The service is slow, the majority of staff seem to be in no rush to prepare your "fast food"! The food is luke warm at best when served and you'll be lucky to get the correct order anyway. I'll be avoiding this one in future.

This particular Macdonald’s is consistently poor for getting orders correct. Three trips in a row now and something has been missing each time. You’re half way down the road by the time you figure it out. It’s also very slow service (for a macDs).

Sometimes I wonder if the management are more useless than the staff, appalling waiting times wrong drinks served,cold drinks stood on side waiting for orders that's are clearly not in any numerological order!! And it's getting ridiculously expensive for lame service! The blonde woman manager about as much use a chocolate watch,I don't know what's happened to macs ds but it's a heap of garbage

Ordered food at 1058 was told only breakfast menu available.. Then got told had to wait in bay 1 for food.. Waited 14 minutes in car until food brought over...and tasted awful.. Put half in. Bin....

Worse mcdonalds I have ever visited the place was disgustingly dirty both in the kitchen and in the guest area , service was a disgrace box of 6 chicken nuggets only 3 in the box waited 20mins as they where cooking my apple pies to order not a problem (and my fault I should of checked ) but the items I waited 20mins for where not even in my order when I got home will definitely not be going to this appalling outlet ever again avoid at all costs terrible

The blonde lady with glasses on breakfast shift this morning....if you don't like your job that is your responsibility. Don't make your customers pay for it with your appalling attitude. And what on earth is this slop you just gave me 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Great large McDonald's, good seating with plug sockets etc. So you can get work done over lunch.

No real issues with the food barring the price... It supposed to be a quick and cheap meal but not no longer... It's quick but it's getting expensive at McDonald's.

Really slow service if you order inside. Priority given to delivery drivers and drive through. Not the first time we've experienced a long wait so will not go in again.

Long wait for food even tho it was empty.....seemed to be due to a steady stream of delivery drivers turning up for orders....when food eventually handed over the fries were cold and big mac not up to the usual maccy d standard.

Only used the drive thru but I remember the young guy was pleasant and courteous.

Very friendly staff and well prepared for all the people that were waiting there for their food. Placed seemed tidy and atmosphere was okay, music playing. People chatting and relaxing etc. Recommended to those who like to eat out and have some time to themselves after a hard day's work.

Service in this McDonald's is ridiculously slow. Just to really add to the experience there is a constant blaring of alarms and the place is a shambles with rubbish and food all over the floors. I eat in McDonald's fairly often and this is the worst experience I've ever had in one.

Just got a burger, chips & diet coke. Always the case that they are quite good at this outlet. Not happy with the special offer as you cannot trade up with it & it did not include a drink 🤷‍♂️

Went in at 6.30 this morning and ordered 3 double sausage and egg muffins (1 for me and 2 for other lads on site) and went to the counter to ask someone to put them in 2 bags with 1 in one bag and 2 in another bag,I got the attention of a young lad who then promptly ignored me and walked away! I lost my rag because I was the only person in the store and the manager is an idiot who then told me not to shout at his staff!...I did go there every morning for my breakfast but I won't again!... ignorance is my pet hate and there are other McDonalds!

Cheeseburger looked like if had fallen together & I'm sure it was only half a patty.

Service was slow, and the food concidering we ate in could only be described at best as warm. Taste was OK though.

I never take pictures of food, but this is a first. Not edible at all. The chicken burger has completely dried that you cannot bite into it. Shocking food. Never again. Complete let down after waiting 20 mins for 'fast food'

By far the worst McDonalds I’ve ever been to. They seem to hire the most incompetent workers that can’t even count to 5 to give you the right amount of nuggets, and never fail to make a mistake with your order. Worst of all is the wait time. People go to McDonalds to get a quick convenient meal, but at this location you have to wait like you’re waiting for your dinner at a restaurant.

They need to understand what customer service is all about. Very shoddy.

Every time we come here it’s a problem - normally drive through and we get things missing or cold . Same to come on inside . 25 minutes wait for a meal and had to chase lady who even didn’t look at me and just whispered to others something . When received the burger was again cold .

On a busy roundabout, making exit difficult, sat nav takes you off to soon so turnaround made!!

McDonald's are usually dependable no matter where they are, supposedly. I have to say, this Mcdonalds just seemed better. The food was very tasty. Bizarrely enough, it just tasted better than our normal, regular dependable Mcdonalds. Food was hot and very fresh. Burgers were really tasty and were obviously fresh. Shame we live 70miles away or we would be using regularly. We'll be back.

Didn’t get my order right, didn’t give me my chips

Some food was completely missing from delivery. Spent £40. Rang to complain left on hold for 10 minutes then hung up on. Ridiculous.

I don’t mind waiting for orders because obviously mcdonalds is a busy establishment, but 20 minute wait is abominable especially since it wasn’t even that busy. Not only this, we got our order half of it was missing and the other half was literally not what we ordered. Ordered a jam and butter mcmuffin, got given a cold bun with no jam or butter😂 absolute joke. Obviously went to get our food, they were nice and apologised but come on there was like 2 other customers it doesn’t take much to read the order

Best McDonald's franchise in York for a fact. Food looks like you'd want it too; not soggy, slapped together, overdone or tepid. At peak times you always get served fast. Recommended.

The upstairs is nice and quiet and a good view

Stone cold. Inedible. Burger thrown together and stood at the counter for half an hour and no one came. Threw food away waste of money and time do not go here go to burger King instead

Appalling service, with a long wait, cold chips, wrong burger, no apology. By far the worst McDonald's I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. Find another McDonald's and avoid like the plague.

Never do I get what I've ordered whoever puts the orders on the tray needs a lesson in packing the correct food. Plus the fries are always soggy and cold and the burgers never look like the pictures ever. You'll only have cheese on one side etc there always dry. The prices a silly high for what you get I try to avoid here at all costs but even evetytime we eat the we get stomach aches the kids still want them.

Sat eating my meal and got the wrong order but too much hassle to go back in to get the right food, obviously too many people gathered serving but taking no notice of what there packing, shame really

Just a drive through coffee this time. Good coffee, good service and good atmosphere.

Horrible service. All the self service terminals were updating so I tried to get served at the counter. The staff member saw me, ignored me, looked directly at me again and proceeded to continue to ignore me. At least have the decency to explain what the issue is and how long you expect to be out of service for.

Drive thru appears to be a problem, every visit there is something from the order. This week was that although the packaging was present there were no nuggets in the kids happy meals, last week a whole Big Mac meal was missing, the week before a double cheeseburger, the week before that a share box of nuggets was missing, Mcdonalds seem to be happy to profiteer from the own staffs incompetence rather than ensure that their employees pay attention to detail. Some may question why I am visiting a drive thru quite so regularly, I even have to question this from time to time, but as a service that is designed to sate any appetite this McDonalds consistently falls short.

Burger Happy meal on drive through 2 minutes from my home got back to a hungry granddaughter with a cold burger and 8 chips totally gone downhill another customer lost.

Always enjoy going here ,staff lovely and friendly and service is good ,food also good and hot .

Just watched food being prepared and not a glove in sight. Buns and other ingredients all handled with bare hands. Front of house dirty and messy. Waited 20 minutes for order. I felt sorry for the food couriers who were ignored whilst 4 orders were packed ready.

I went there at 6.15 to get a breakfast and I'm really disapointed as service quality was poor, waiting 25 mins for order - 8 staff in a kitchen and only one person in a que. Also service staff didn't wear a proper PPE - no snood to cover beard.

Stood watching lots of staff slowly shuffling about doing absolutely nothing. Ordered two drinks but 25 mins later, nothing. After witnessing very poor hygiene practices by senior staff, we cancelled the order. Staff were rude when we complained about the wait. Better training for senior staff required. Usual priority to deliveries.
