McDonald's in Mendip

Uber eats an order. Turned up cold with a fair bit missing! This underwhelming McDonald's never ceases to disappoint!

This particular branch of McDonald's just seems to get worse and worse with miserable, unhelpful, lethargic and disinterested staff and below average (even by McDonald's standard) food. We arrived for breakfast so our kids could have pancakes and I ordered the food via the touchscreen to pay at the counter. Despite not being busy, the girl who presumably is in some kind of senior role due to her different shirt looked at me several times at the counter and ignored me until in the end a lad in a similar shirt came over, apologised and took my payment. Our order consisted of pancakes with syrup and pancakes with syrup and sausage. When our order arrived neither had syrup so I asked for it, only to be given one packet, so I said the other should also have syrup, which the lad seemed reluctant to believe but eventually gave it to me. When I got back to our table and opened the boxes we then found the sausage was also missing from that one. I went back to the empty counter with the box, waited again to be served and explained to a lad there was no sausage to which he told me it was in the other box. As we'd opened both boxes I explained it was in neither box but he didn't believe me so I had to go and get the other box to prove it wasn't in there either, bearing in mind the cost difference of 40p I'm not sure why he thought I had stolen the sausage or indeed where I had put it! After eventually giving our kids the breakfast we'd ordered I then went back to the touchscreen to order myself and my wife some lunch, again opting to pay by cash at the counter, and again being completely ignored by the same girl until eventually being served by the same lad. Our order this time was very simple, or so I thought. 2 Big Mac meals, 2 Saver Chicken Sandwiches and 2 Apple Pies. Waited at the counter again for our food and when it came I took it and started to walk back to our table only to notice our apple pies were missing, turned around immediately to point it out but all staff, apart from the 'senior staff girl' had gone, but do you think she acknowledged me, absolutely not! After another few minutes waiting whilst our food got colder I was eventually acknowledged and reluctantly given our missing apple pies. In all a complete farce, and let's be honest, all orders are on a huge screen for all staff to make it as easy and simple as possible, so why do none of them pay any attention to it? On top of this why do they start serving lunch at 11am but you also can't order milkshakes or Mcflurries any more and the staff always lie that the machine doesn't work when you ask why? It should also be noted that the floor throughout was absolutely lethal and NOT because it was wet outside, it was because they were greasy, presumably because the 'cleaner' doesn't understand using fresh water and floor cleaner rather than a bucket of old grey sludge.

Breakfast wrap just slapped together, egg fell out the bottom. No tissues or anything put in bag especially as they parked us up after waiting a while. So around pretty poor customer service!!

I'm not a great fan of fast food, but we asked 2 of our grandchildren where they would like to go after school, and so off we went to McDonald's. Pleasantly surprised. The food was hot and very tasty, and the coffee was equally as nice.

Always have to wait for simple food orders, especially the drive thru, they send you to the waiting bays every time. The biggest issue I think causes this is the delivery drivers orders that seem to take preference!

They have me something gross with sweaters instead of the coke I ordered and paid for. A customer was really rude to me and the order took quite a while

20 mins to be served 2 pound saver burgers and all the lettuce was outside of the bun, no apologies offered, avoid

Great as a drive-through. Parking is very tight. The drive-through blocks the parking bays access when blocking back. Coffee lids don't seal too well.

Shocking like every other McDonald’s I have been too no apology either

1 star too good but unable to leave zero. Absolutely rubbish service again. Order wrong again. Food stone cold again. Wrong order given so their answer was to just throw correct item into the bag on top of what presumably was someone else's order! Burger and salad spilling all over. The food was cold - all of it - which is the reason for this review as it is not the first time, or second come to that. EXTREMELY poor food and service from McDonald's Frome. Get your act together.

My husband did an order arrived with a missing burger, incorrect items and all stone cold. After calling advised to take it up with the delivery company! However McDonald’s packed it…the missing and incorrect items should come down to them! Won’t be ordering again! I appreciate your busy but very poor customer service.

As McD goes it's ok. It causes a lot of litter in the area which makes me very sad, but that's a customer issue. The staff are friendly.

The Frome McDonald's is one of the worst. Orders are wrong, takes forever to come, food is cold and staff don't appear to care. Hardly ever have milkshakes or muc-flurries. Don't waste your time go elsewhere.

Waited 30 minutes for breakfast that arrived barely warm. Feel sorry for staff who were apologetic but obviously overwhelmed due to being understaffed

Had a server by the name ben on the drive through till (31/10 around 9am) and he was very upbeat. Really nice to hear in the morning! Did compliment at the time. Keep it up Ben!! Food was great also!

Slowest maccies in western europe

Drive Thru. Long queue out onto main road. Limited cold drink menu although app states otherwise! I asked the reason and the staff member was unable to provide an answer. Luckily for him another staff member appeared by chance and he asked her the reason. She replied rather grumpy that it was because the machine had not been cleaned and there were some broken pieces. No apology from either staff member. The food was warm, just. Terrible visit all round. First & last time of visiting.

I don't know why I keep coming back here, the food is ALWAYS cold, every time. Save your money go elsewhere, they serve hotter food in the local Iceland.

If they sorted out the issue with the McDonald's app I wouldn't have any issues visiting here!!!!!! It doesn't like to recognise that you have arrived when you order via the app, so you loose out on your free coffees as it's all done via the app now. Sort out the problem...................please

Poor service , so slow and staff unresponsive and poor cooperation. Food looked thrown together , although it did taste OK.

Walked in for take away. Took well over 30,minutes to get my food after ordering on the screen. That was after complaining! Food was then shabby! Uber or just eat Drivers seem priority there. Drive through on previous occasions has pretty much always got my order wrong. Worst McD I’ve been to.

Its hit or miss. Honestly my main gripe is that 9/10 times there are no mclurrys on. And you know its a simple case of the machine just needing to be cleaned 🤷‍♀️

Just the worst McDonalds we have experienced. Without fail, we have encountered an issue with ordering through the McDonalds app, through Uber eats and through on site ordering. Every time has taken way longer than any "fast food" restaurant should and there is usually an incorrect item or things missing. When(if) food arrives, it is cold or room temp at best. Trying to report issues to any customer service feels like speaking to a brick wall, where a loose brick falls and hits you on the head every so often.

Not the best food but chicken wraps are nice. And if you ask for no salt on your chips they make you fresh hot crispy chips

Went for breakfast, quick and friendly service

I asked for the burger bun to be extra toasted but this was too much for this giant multinational corporation 🤷‍♂️

All Great, perfect order all hot and fresh, even got an un necessary apologie for very short wait. A+

Appalling service, lack of availability. Quality of food was fine. First time in McDonald's since 1991 and now I remember why.

Literally just been told by the shift manager Nickola that they can not, can not, do me a bun with just cheese and quarter onion in it. Absolutely impossible! I didn't know its really difficult for the staff to put their hand into one pot, instead of the pot next to it! Had driven 25 minutes so we could eat there. Left with nothing. No McDonald's ever has been unable to preform this very simple bun with just cheese and quarter onion in it. Beggars belief, I've been having them since I worked in McDonald's 30 years ago. Would not recommend.

Based on last visit, lowering my review from a four to a one. Went to drive thru and our food was warm, but terribly packed. The BigMac didn't have any cheese at all and the little boy at the window looked like I had ruined his day of playing Fortnite and Minecraft by making him turn up at McDonald's to earn money. Really bad vibe, awful example of McDonald's. I hope they change the manager here soon as possible.

McDonald's Frome excellent service under pressure with equipment not working but did well bit disappointed with the double big MC though

Took the drive through option. Paid and then asked to wait at least 10 mins for my food in a bay. Got home to find I was a drink missing.😒

The best McDonald’s we have ever been in! Very clean. Very friendly. The warmest porridge I have ever had! The crispiest hash browns! Amazing. Shame we’re only visiting in the area else we would be back.

Very busy. Car Parking rubbish. Had to park in sainsbury's next door. Toilets ok. Not a mcdonalds I use just did the job after a day out to longleat.

this spot is really good if you like undercooked food that feels like rubber. i dont think ive ever had an enjoyable meal from this mcdonalds. all other mcdonalds are really nice, its just this one that seems to hire peoples afflicted with DS.

Very busy and slow with food no apologies

I know its a bank holiday, i know its busy but I've been sat here now for 35 minutes waiting for my food after going through the drive through. My advice get more staff in . Poor representation of a fast food restaurant !!!

Waited over an hour to receive burgers/wraps then ten minutes later the fries arrived and still ten more minutes to receive drinks. Shocking service and no staff seemed to care.

Strawberry milkshakes are back at last!!!

Waited 40 mins after going through drive-thru, extremely busy! Went in to find out what was going on, to find out our order had been given to someone else. Adam the restaurant manager was extremely helpful and so apologetic. Stood in a massive down pour to re- take our order, and it was delivered to us ASAP with some extra treats and a full refund! Couldn't praise him enough, an ASSET to the team! Handled with pure professionalism.

Went to this McDonalds for breakfast. Ordered through drive through. Ordered a Mcmuffin meal and was asked what sauce I wanted and I am weird and like both so asked for Tomato and Brown. I was told I can only have one of them. I then wanted to order an extra sausage patty for my dog. I was told they don't do that either. Both requests have never been an issue at any other McDonalds I have visited. The guy on the drive through window couldn't have cared less about what the customer wants, I can only imagine he couldnt be bothered to process the changes. Disappointing! (Service was 10am 23/4)

McDonalds is usually pretty rubbish when it comes to customer service and order accuracy. It was a pleasant surprise visiting this particular restaurant for the first time! Staff were friendly and they got my order right first time (including modifications). I would recommend!

One of the best Maccies in the south west

My order was very tepid when it arrived. It was just after the lunch rush. The milkshake was good. I didn't have time to wait for a repeat order. I was disappointed as this branch has improved since its refurbishment . The staff are lovely.

Hygiene and safety obviously not important to this branch Not a single hairnet in use on the floor ,staff chewing gum face piercing on several both managers working the floor no ties shirts untucked all the food piled high getting squashed staff wondering complete lack of focus.

Went on a Friday evening so was busy, food arrived quickly but my latte had to go back as it wasn’t full to the top or even what I ordered!.

Wanted to praise McDonald’s Frome on its help with disabled customers. We have a severely autistic son, who was unable to come into the building. Jessica, one of the managers was amazing and the food was brought out to the car park. Jessica was amazing, please can she be rewarded. Thank you 😊

Got served by a lad wearing a Hoodrich hoody 2 days in a row. Must be the new Mac uniform twerton style. Food comes out wrong most of the time in this place or your burger is missing ingredients where they've ran out or forgot it! Disgusting standard's.

I only come here out of convenience. I'm not really a fan of the chain, and I have only used the drive-through service. The food is as you would expect. The coffee is actually alright. The staff have always provided excellent service. They are friendly and helpful. I have been here twice, and on both occasions, the milkshake hasn't been working on either occasion.

So the lady that handed me my food tried to tell me I was wrong about what I ordered and that a Breakfast wrap meal was £9+ because of sugar tax on a drink untill I showed her the receipt she stormed off got the rest of my order and slammed the window closed

It pains me to have to say anything negative about my beloved McDonald’s but unfortunately their mathematics skills are poor and have ended up having a direct impact on my burgers. I wanted a double burger but only got a single, to me that doesn’t seem right and I only got a C grade in gcse maths. Perhaps some basic training in added and subtracting burgers would be useful for the staff. The burgers were delicious as always though.

Well, what you can say... McDonald's is McDonald's. Either you are lucky and get decent and warm food, or you get cold fries and a burger that looks like it went through a lot lol

Often a long wait at the drive-thru, if eating in you can watch several delivery drivers go with food and come back for more while you continue to wait, likely you'll still end up with only warm (or worse) food. Convenient if you can get in but prepare to be disappointed in the food

Starving hungry, so Maccy D's was just the place. Mighty Macmuffin and a large cappuccino sorted me out.

All Mc Donalds suffer the same problem these days of being over subscribed. Getting your food is a pain. But what food! Tastes awesome and is brilliant value for money. And the coffee is as good or better than any coffee chain you can mention. Mc Donalds we love you!

Ordered at the table using the app, very easy to use and nice not to have to que. Food delivered within 10 minutes, it was all hot and well cooked.
