McDonald's in Mendip

Food was ok but I have had better in other MacDonalds. Standards slipped a bit. Me and my colleague was the only two in there for a short while and it took about 25 minutes to get out to us. I don't hold high expectations as it's a fast food place... Fast food ! I won't stop using it because I still like the food.

The staff were young and uninterested, the lad clearing tables hovered round our table whilst we were eating , waiting for us to leave to clean the table no.doubt, had to ask if he was ok he hovered that close.. Sat with 3 young kids i felt i had to ask something as my you gest pointed him out..

Shocking customer service! The McDonald’s is probably one of the worst I have visited in Somerset. Virtually never has shakes, strawberry lemonade and customer service not great. On pulling up at the order point we waited over a minute for a voice to say “sorry I got distracted” !!! we then ordered an amended item at the drive through (no cheese). When we collected at the window we checked the order and the item hadn’t been changed and we were asked to check receipt. Whilst the receipt didn’t show our order without cheese (which we had ordered) we were told we would have to join the drive through queue and order again! We then waited over 20 minutes for them to make it! Customer service disappointing. McDonald’s used to pride itself on fast food and good customer service. Never would a customer be asked to join a queue and reorder an item that had been made incorrectly.

Given that there is only one mcdonald's for street and Glastonbury. Mih friends and I usually go weekends. And lucky we get served by this very lovely, ever smiling young lady" Manny" not sure of the spelling 😅😅always polite and sweet she's lush mih friends loves her xx.

Since they have had a refurb, the service is diabolical, and the serving area is not as good as before the refurb, as packed with people waiting for their food, whereas before it wasn't as clustered. Don't get me wrong it is much better for sitting etc, but there seems to be a lack of attention to customers at the service area inside, nobody about covering. Food took a while to come when ordered from the app, the fastest we had was a 15 minute wait and the longest it was 35 minutes, not great considering. Staff need to be more attentive and cover of the front service would be a good idea

Stopped on way home.. the 2 guys at drive thru windows, with full on ginger beards, not a hair net in sight! Bit concerning.. and also work in a drive thru.

Rapidly going down hill. Cold food things missing off your order. No pride in customer service any more.

Piece of advice for the franchisée... when you solicit trade from electric car drivers (whilst you are fully aware those two Instavolt chargers on your premises are not working) you might find you're vicariously liable for what the customer spends in the restaurant whilst their vehicle receives no juice... so don't be surprised when you see Visa card chargebacks for two breakfasts that we would never have bought were it not for you deceiving us... Your 'maintenance guy' ignored counter staff I spoke to about the Instavolt issue when he was asked to assist me. He might wear a hearing aid, but he'd understood perfectly well what your young coloured server asked of him, but he rudely ignored her and then turned his back on my party to wit. Those chargers, get "out of order" shrouds and cover them up if they don't work. Stop enticing people into your premises under false pretences. You can't argue they are purely Instavolt's when they are on YOUR premises, boosting your till takings. I got hit for a £45 funds hold on my card, even though the charger couldn't deliver enough electricity to ignite a kittens fart. We'd never have come in if we could have known. Oh, and sort your hot chocolate machine out whilst you are at it, and retrain your kitchen staff to put the sauce in the McMuffin rather than slop it down the inside of the sodding box. Won't be visiting you again. Ever.

The floor was covered in food and rubbish

Have ordered the food but received it after an hour; chips and food were cold. Worst delivery ever received.

the food is just fine, but they always forget something or it’s cold or half my burger is spread across the box. i always have to wait like 15 mins because i order the fish option

Why is it that ice cream is nearly always unavailable at McDonald’s? It is also getting very expensive.

A very average McDonald's nothing out of the order, does get busy

Please don't bother coming here - they get your order completely wrong, even if it's a very simple order. Portion sizes are also considerably smaller yet more expensive.

I wasn't impressed with the slow service, my coffee arrived Luke warm, although the management apologised and I was made a fresh one which was piping hot.

Not to bad, just the position of the McDonald's just off a roundabout on to an industrial site with shops has a lot to be desired.

I've used this branch a few times now and it's been consistently good. If only the 2 branches in Yeovil were even close to the performance of this branch.

Food was cold before I managed to park.

Used drive through as we were on our way home. We ordered a plain cheeseburger for our little one but it wasn't until he opened it to find it was covered in ketchup and onions. We were already around 6 miles away so too late to turn back.

Ordered a 9 nuggets meal, took about 10 mins to get after it sitting there for about 6 and was stone cold when getting it along with the chips. Staff just looking at their phone rather than serving

Great food, service was fine, place was freezing cold, door to the play area being opened constantly made it so cold to sit down and eat.

Finally. A hot meal and it was warmer inside.

food- today my familia and i have gone to this maccies and there was some atrocities it took ages to actually get some food and furthermore when i do get said food it was cold while eating here

I hate that I enjoy eating McDonald's otherwise I'd never use this restaurant. They are wholly incapable of getting your order right, being able to serve it inside 20 minutes or ensuring everything is hot when you do. Genuinely never been to any other McDonald's as consistently awful as this one. It's like they get the order and start defrosting it at that point rather than have a batch of their standard items ready to go as a 'Fast Food' restaurant should. If you're driving passed and think 'oh I fancy a McDonald's, this one looks good' just keep driving.

Maccydee is what it is, get what you expect

Although relatively quick on service, cold chips and sloppy presentation seems to be an emerging theme of late. My burger looked like ingredients had been thrown into the box with sauce squirted more on the box than the burger. Luckily chips still taste ok even on the cusp of cold. Is it too much to expect a hot meal that looks similar to the advertised picture?

Boy night out, me and the nephew typical maccis run Restaurant was standard, rather busy. Food arrived in reasonable time, sadly as standard fries were not hot. But the burgers were good. And the flurry machine worked.

Got here 25 mins before closing time to find they had already closed I get they where almost finished for the day but still closing 25 mins ealry!!!!!

If this place ever serves any of the McFlurries or Milkshakes, run home the four horsemen of the apocalypse are on their way (but will still advertise the products)

Don't use right hand lane on drive through doesn't seem to be manned like left lane. You wait while cars go through on left road.

There was a lovely chap called Hudson who was very friendly and very efficient. Hudson was very polite and made the whole experience 100000x better than normal. Hudson is a star and is the goat.

You really have to check your order before leaving. I’ve had the wrong item or no food item (even though it was paid for) once I got home. Food can be lukewarm when taking it home. Frustrating.

Told to park up in a car park with no spaces. When i said where he just said anywhere whats free. So i parked across 3 of bays They were reserving for their delivery lorry by the looks of it.

It took 25 minutes to get our food. It was barely warm. They are more concerned with drive-through orders. This was clear by the speed they were sending them out.

This McD's never fails to disappoint. This is fast food done slowly and badly. Yet a again, they managed to get my order wrong, I say yet again, because they always manage to get something wrong. Wrong meal, Only luke warm and soooo slow.

The worst FAST food McDonalds I've been to. Often, I have to wait ages. I ordered a Happy Meal and an apple pie at the drive-through. Had to pull up in a bay to wait for the apple pie. Waited almost 15 minutes!! Had to ask for another Happy Meal as the one I had got cold, waiting!

Cool environment with a delicious delicacy

We went to this restaurant on a journey back from Cornwall as needed fast food along our journey. Ordered on the touch screen then waited half an hour for our food while watching chaos in the serving area. Without being disrespectful it looked like a Bunch of kids messing around standing around not doing much while food backed. Up There were people watching with us making comments and we even spoke to another family who couldn’t believe the mess. After 30 mins we approached a lad saying we’ve been waiting 30 mins for our order no 28 … he looked at the board and said “oh yeah ”. Then went off and very slowly put together our order. We finally received it to find one of the burgers were missing which he gave us … still no apologies then we took a seat and ate Our food. Our special order was stone cold and the other burgers were not that much better only the chips were hot. I spend near on £30 on food which was cold and not very nice and was delayed on our journey. I don’t normally take time to complain however on this occasion I felt is necessary and feel management need to take action

Visited today and staff very helpful. Outside areas looked clean and tidy. Bins not overflowing and another tick on the McD database. Enjoyed my McPlant as ever.

Why is this McDonalds even open waist of space. Orders always mixed up, long wait for fast foot, place is so dirty and disgusting, never got ice creams nor milkshakes. This disgusting place from hell must go!!!!!!!!!

Service was poor, food was not hot only barely warm, could have done with a good clean and tables wiped, waited 15 minutes for food after ordering and the young girl was not very polite when bringing the food out, gave the impression she was not happy

Took my 3 boys here to eat plus my husband at about 5pm 2 hours after eating my youngest son started getting tummy cramps then he starts being sick then he had diarrhoea and is still being sick now at 12am then my oldest son starts being sick after and my middle son they all had the same big mac meals large all had strawberry milk shakes me and my husband have been fine but we didn't have big macs I'm thinking it's got to be the food my boys was all fine before we went in to mcdonalds and now at 12 am I have all 3 still being sick and the have the diarrhoea

Disabled toilet was filthy and covered with flies. Ladies toilet very cramped. Fries were overcooked. Glad it isn't my local.

Bins were overflowing, rubbish on the floor. Tables are dirty, flies everywhere. Doesn’t look like there’s enough staff. Floor in the kitchen where visible from the counter is filthy!! Tables stayed like this the whole time we were waiting but the kitchen did get swept eventually.

I really don’t know how you guys manage it, just got back to tuck into my chicken selects…..

Food and staff are both well turned out, but don’t go at peak times, as it’s chaos and they can’t seem to handle the increased workload. Have tried a couple of times and just gave up after waiting 20 mins

Why do they show food on the TV that looks nice nothing like it in reality run by kids.chicken and bacon burger like eating rubber.my mates never got chips in their meals luckily a one of visit after many years.

We dropped in for breakfast whilst staying in the area. One of the better McDonald's we have been in, very clean and quick service.

The manager was really clueless. We asked about Vegan options and she had no clue what was vegan even with the tags on the menu. Worst Mc Donald's we've ever visited 🙈

Didn’t put cheese bites in our order and also didn’t put any of the garnish on the quarter pounder just cheese ….. don’t waste your money

This McDonald's has somehow managed to mess up every single order I have placed here over the last six months or so. This runs the range from incorrect customisation on burgers, to missing or completely incorrect items. The staff just seem to amble about with a completely disinterested look the entire time, so it's no wonder the service is so shoddy. If you have to eat here (and I'd advise against it)... CHECK YOUR ORDER

Been here many times but I don't know why. No milkshakes ever!!!! No ice creams!!! When we speak with the manager she advised its broken. It's been broken for over 2 years. I'd say around 20 percent chance of getting one. Also, went for a breakfast wrap to be told they weren't available. The worst McDonald's buy unfortunately the only one in my area and my daughter loves them. Oh well. Maybe they will read the review and get the milkshake machine fixed once and for all. Standard maccies food. The iced coffee wasn't very cold tho. Toilets were clean.

Tbh the food wasn't bad but we could have booked a restaurant drove there sat down ordered and paid the bill by the time we got through the drive through . They need a significant change in system as there was a backlog through to the main road which isn't great .

All in all one of the better outlets we have visited…they were very busy however the food came quickly and was fresh and hot. Clean toilets. Reasonable size parking spaces and full disability access throughout and disabled parking spaces too. Also E charging for cars too.

Blimey, hottest McDonald's I've ever had., almost burnt my mouth. Has something changed there as service was totally different to that we've had there before! Massive improvement.

Service only got three stars because of the excellent service from the drive thru window otherwise one star at best! Food was mediocre at best NO Milkshake which sarcastically means NO McFlurry (it’s the same machine) Ironically I chose to drive to Street (11 miles) as it normally better than either of the Bridgwater restaurants If only they could try a little harder

Haven't managed to have a thick shack this year. Every time I go in they are either cleaning the machine even they say they only clean it on a Monday and I gave been on a different day of the week. Now they say it is broken but it has been out if action fir over a week and this isn't the first time.

I decided to eat in on this occasion, I would normally collect via the drive through, however after receiving several luke warm meals using the drive thorugh service, so I opted to eat in, hoping the meal would be hot. WRONG, the food was luke warm, scabby soft chips, awful, I was going to report it, but it was busy and being on a time restraint I didn't. I decided to bin the food and go. So much for the improved, hotter food TV ad.

Mcdonalds food as to be expected. But the toilets are filthy, the mens and disabled. Really gross.

Food was fine, service was fine but all the shouting in the kitchen was very off putting. Couldn't tell whether it was in jest or was people arguing. Unprofessional.

Over one hour wait for "fast" food to be prepared, missing items , cold and sloppy. Management really needs to get the grip on this place, also ordered big mac and got chicken big mac? Seriously no word for this place anymore.

Sadly, they had sold out of the Biscoff Frappe, but the fresh salt covered chips made up for it.

All I did was drive past, I didn't go in.

Ordered 2 sets of pancakes and 1 breakfast wrap. Waited 18 minutes from ordering until food was ready. Paper cutlery is worse than useless.

The quality of the fries was good nut the burgers were cold and chewed, nuggets were overcooked. Staff looked like they were on auto pilot.

Has to be one of the cleanest and fully stocked stores we as a family of 4 have attended.

Not only was my burger cold - again I also wasn't given my full order. Every time I go to Mc Donald's there is some form of mistake.
