Maxin Chicken in Leicester

The cheesy garlic bread wasn’t bad, but the fries/chicken were just really soggy and disappointing, and for a fast food meal that usually is no more than a 5 minute wait in store I waited an awful long time for my order. A bit of a let down overall.

My food never come at all I tried calling the shop and straight 2 ancer phone this shop is scaming people

FOUND A SCREW IN THE FRIES, ENDED UP IN MY MOUTH! DO NOT EAT HERE, ITS A HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARD. REPORTED TO THE AUTHORITIES.

There’s no taste in the pizza we ordered 3 pizza no toppings added only chicken on the top really disappointed called them and told them they cut the call the base is not even properly made. Before they used to be really good

One of the worst places to eat food from, chips are salted as if theres no tomorrow, man.. the chicken it basically alive of how undercooked it is, also these lot i think love to not speak when taking orders so try to use sign language next time u order some dirty place

The reviews are true, pls don’t buy from that place. I didn’t listen to the reviews and decided to buy from them and that was a big mistake, the chicken were pink inside and the fries were dark for some reason even though I saw the guy putting new fries in the oil.

Came her at 9.40, suppose to close at 10.00. There was chicken wings and stirps still in the heater but the man just waved him hand and said Nooo closed! I thought it was very rude and not good service

Chicken was nice, as for the fries I dint like at all it dint taste like it was fried it was soggy and we had the wrong drink given to use (other 2 was fine)

Food was really early, but I didn't mind so long the food was cooked, pitty. They stopped doing the apple pie, would be really good fries, was a tad overdone, but not that much would still order from there

Pizza was lovely… the chips were in a box of grease, they were so soggy could ring the oil out.. same with the chicken was like a oil soaked sponge 🥴

Greasy and not worth it. Used to be good back in 2016/17 so thought I'd give it a go. The price is reasonable but the quality is not great. The spicy wings I got were pink and not spicy at all, cleanliness wise it could do some work.

It was horrible I told the guy to give me strip burger but he didn't he gave me the strip burger he gave me normal chest burger he cut it in half and he said that it is strip burger also it was so oily and not cooked well it was pink from the inside. It was so bad

Always love to visit when in town… love the spicy chicken wings… but they can work on hygiene bit more Edit: Seriously need to work on hygiene

You should try their pizza's, it's not chewy and oily and affordable price. My daughter is big fan of Maxine chicken and she loves pizza fries and chicken from them. Staff are very friendly and kind. They always serve hot food. It's one of our favourite place.

Among the best tasting fast food outlets. Pocket friendly. The best fries in the Haymarket area. Con: rather slow serving time.

Me and my friend having be going there for a long time almost a year but the staff are changed and the new staff are so rude and they don’t even communicate with costumers properly we used to get nice service it’s one guy working there he was so kind and friendly to everyone but the new staff are so rude and on Friday I visited that place again and I ordered the large masala chips and one pepasi so I asked him that how much it and he said I can’t give you large masala chips because I don’t have enough masala so I told him give me regular masala chips and on pepsi also 4 wings and I asked him that how much is it and he said that it’s £6 something but last time we ordered same thing and that other guy took £5 of that order. They charged extra for a masala but they never put more masala if you don’t want to put more masala then why are you charging extra money to your customers and that day they just give as our order in 5 minutes I was happy that wow it’s too early very but when we had the chips it wasn’t test fresh i think they cooked twice and it’s wasn’t good enough i think you guys should change new staff but the old one was the best staff I wouldn’t go there again and not recommending to also!!!

Food was hard chips were to salty

Food came and it was disgusting, chips were cold and soggy , burger was cold and looked like it was thrown together and the chicken was cold , hard n well over cooked it was like a brick , avoid this place at all costs you wouldn't feed ur dog it , terrible !!!

Worst customer service every experienced. Staff was really bad they couldn’t understand. Especially ordering food the staff didn’t know what tomatoes and cucumbers were. He was clueless and I had to repeat the order couple of times.

Was out for delivery for 50 minutes. Arrived freezing cold and stale. Don’t waste your money here

Had lunch there today. The guy behind the counter didn't understand what we was asking for. Finally got meal after 10mins wait. It was cold and horrible. The chicken tasted like it was warmed up and greasy and the burger was tiny. We ended up binning it and it gave us an upset stomach. I recommend avoiding this place.

Omg, Never seen that type of service, So ridiculous. That one guy with glasses on I think he is Tamil guy, He has no respect towards customers and has none mathematician calculations!! Honestly, I just ordered 2 large fries and it took around 45 minutes or longer to prepared my order.

The gentleman that works in the evenings is very friendly and the food has great quality. However the rest of the staff is completely ignorant and makes it impossible to order. I tried to place the telephone order today. No one answers the phone. After numerous attempts I went to the shop to check and was told no one picks up the phone because they don't speak English. I managed to place the order, but after preparing half of it, they left it on side and just went to the back. I've been waiting another 20 minutes for them to just make a portion of chips

I ordered but my delivery driver got the wrong location saying “I’m by the glass door” when there were 3 different glass doors on my street. I’ve rated everything 1 star on the basis I didn’t get to try my food, so hopefully in the future when my food does arrive I can write a more descriptive review of the food rather than service.

Food was good ordered meat feast didn't get it, got different pizza don't know what kinda meat it was similar to mince meat but wasn't with mushrooms would have been nice to get all my order correct as I chose and paid for it or call me to chose different one.

Food was cold, took so long to be delivered we even rang the restaurant to see when it was going to be done. Waited for for that amount of time for the food to be cold. Not happy, spent £12+ on the meal.

Very rude staff and do not know anything about customer rights. I ask for 50 freshly made wings, which I had to wait for 15 minutes. And after all that they started mixing up the chicken and ended up given me old chicken. I said to them give me what I ask for 'fresh chicken'. And he refused. I ask for my money back he also refused. And I said to him I will call the police. This left me very disappointed and very angry indeed. Staff working there look unclean very dirty clothes. Very unhygienic and the staff pick up food from the floor and start serving. I am never ever going to go there again. Taking my money elsewhere

Would not recommend eating from this take out as they take the piss to make a small portion of food. They had me waiting 2 hours and a half over the latest arrival time which is a disgrace. As for the quality of food, you get what you pay for. Overall i would give half a star but i cant.

Awfully slow service, took almost 10 minutes to serve up two meals which didn't require cooking, despite having nobody in the queue before me and only a single person waiting, causing me to miss my bus. Staff too concerned about chatting to familiar faces rather than serving food.

I ordered my food and after an hour and a half waiting I called the restraint who then told me they were going to make the food in 5 minutes then send it for delivery. all in total it took 2 hours for me to be given the food which I think is outrageous

Very, very poor delivery service. Especially when they charge for delivery. Phoned the restaurant twice only to be told "it's on the way" on both occasions.
