missed half my order. said they where gonna refund it but they didn’t….

Chicken was pink, the curry was like water and the food was EXTREMELY greasy.

food was good. didn't receive drink I'd paid for.

I ordered chicken tikka but was sent lamb. The Lamb was very nice but not what I ordered. The Goan Chicken curry was nice but very hot. The naan was burnt which was disappointing. The Makhni was okay but a bit bland. My toddler enjoyed it though.

First one of the rice dishes was incorrect, ordered steamed rice and got some vegetable rice. Secondly I didn’t receive my main dish which was basic chicken curry. Thirdly the food was cold and it arrived late. The guy didn’t even want the code. So all in all, very dissatisfied.

The delivery driver was nice and polite and the food was incredibly delicious the lamb biryani was delicious the meat was tender and soft and just melts in your mouth and the rice had alot flavours and the chicken biryani was nice the chicken was soft and had alot of flavours so I recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy there food this place is really good

Food took over 2.5 hours to arrive, original time was supposed to be 1 hour. Everytime we called we were just told it was on its way. It was stone cold when it arrived with an item missing.

Order was missing one item and the wrong drink was sent

Ordered at 7:40pm Friday, advised 25-30 minutes. Received at 9:50pm!!!! Made several phone calls, the first when we had been waiting an hour, and were told it would be an additional 25 minutes. The second time, 35 minutes later, were were told another 20 minutes. We rang up a third time at 9:40pm and asked to cancel the order and give us a refund, where my wife was told, they couldn't as they'd cooked the food and it was on it's way. 15 minutes later, it finally arrived without so much as an apology. The food wasn't particularly great. The madras was too salty and they couldn't have drained the rice as my meal was swimming.

What a joke ! Valentines evening ordered food at 19.30 it’s now 21,56 still no food , I have contacted the place twice !claim they were busy ( never again) I have again contacted shifty curry house !! I don’t think I’m getting any food . Cheeky timewasters turned up with cold food at 22.45 DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE I sent the lot back , I’m not eating cold food

If you even get your food before the 2 hour mark. It’ll be cold and you’ll get the wrong food and be told next time you get something. Yeah right. Cause there would be a next time 🤣

I ordered a set meal at around 7 pm and it was delivered at 8.35 after 2 phone calls. Food was pathetic. It was the first time in a long time we were not able to enjoy Indian food and had to unfortunately throw away a major part of it.

The worst food ever Customer service is shocking I waited for my food more than two hours.

The quality may have been better if food had arrived on time, but as it was the food was luke warm and not at its best.

Food took ages, was stone cold, missing items we paid for, lamb somosas dubious, more like chicken paste and stone cold (do not reheat well), sag aloo was the worst looking I've seen with a sorry looking brussel sprout. Rang to complain, man phone offered a few quid off next time, I assured him there will never be a next time, finally promised to refund total, this didn't happen, contacted just eat who gave a pathetic £5.70 credit, which covers only service charges. Will NEVER EVER use MASALA ever again. I totally knew the guy on the phone wasn't going to refund, the clue was when he hung up twice.

I can’t comment on the food because it never arrived , placed an order 2 hours passed by, i called them 70 times (not joking) no answer, absolute money grabbing scam. currently waiting on a dispute with the bank

Ordered at 17:45, for 2 people. Email to confirm a 18:28 delivery. 19:08 no food phoned restaurant, who confirmed food left 10 minutes early with only 3 drop offs. Come 19: 30 still no food. Said will phone driver and call me back .... no call bavk6 Total of 6 calls to restaurant, considering I ordered on line. Every time was told restaurant would chase driver and call me back, which they didn't... Food turned turned up just before 20;00... Food was hot and lovely... Clearly hadn't been in the drivers car for 1 hr as did question him. Clearly takeaway owner lies, why say its out or can deliver in a time scale when they can't. Shame as was a lovely meal, just time scale or even more the lies... If u are busy say u are busy, restaurant said couldn't reach driver. But driver said he he had chased him #1 driver Oh and to top it off , they clearly use metal type things to clean pans. Perfect , just not when u find a piece in your curry

It’s misleading to call it an Indian restaurant. The flavors are far from authentic, just ordinary at best.

Ordered from Massala before and they have been excellent. Only this time the food was 30 mins late and the poppadoms were stale. The other dishes I ordered were very good and very tasty, good portion sizes. I will still order from here, may have just been an off evening. All in all a good, tasty meal.

Curry taste was too bad and never had the food

Normally we get a nice curry but tonight it wasn’t good. The curry’s were really watery and the yoghurt mint dip was off.

Ordered a home delivery and never received it. Called after 90 minutes to case it up, they hung up on me. Then several attempts to call them was told it was on way. After 2 and half hours was told they couldn’t find our address and couldn’t call us cause their phone had died. This was second time using this establishment and the the first time took ages and had items missing. Thought we’d give them another chance but honestly wish we hadn’t bothered. They’re rude and still trying to get a refund

Food Food was very good, and astoundingly good for the price. Dhansak has almost no chilli in it (I like lots but forgot to specify), however the other "non-spicy" spices he used still came together deliciously. Service Food was ready faster than minimum ETA for pickup. I think that if others have had issues with this restaurant's timeliness, it has to do with the deliveroo service more generally. I ordered directly from their site and picked up myself. Fast. Hope this place does OK despite deliveroo-related rating problems. Atmosphere No dining-in option, but 5/5 as I love the two living room couches plopped down to allow people to wait as though they are in their living room (particularly me, as one matches my couch back home). The cook/operator was also all smiles despite it being a Saturday night at a takeaway, someone of whom I had the impression genuinely enjoys cooking nice curries for people. I'd easily come here again were I local.

Food as always was lush! Only downside was 2 diet coke cans sent instead of bottle of full fat (I'm pregnant and can only have full fat!) but not an issue! so much food too we didn't manage to finish it.

We really enjoyed our tkka biriyani, lamb buna, sag also, prawn dansak and keema naans. Full of delicious aromatic flavours and the naan was really soft and fluffy 👌

Ordered 3 hours before due time in the hope it would be delivered on time. Even so it was over an hour late. All the food was stone cold. Poppadoms were soggy. Mango chutney was watered down so much it was tasteless.

Didn’t arrive although app said it had. We rang restaurant who said they were busy !when food arrived 40 minutes late it was stone cold. Very poor experience.

I always go with Massala never had no reason to moan but after ordering the last one the chicken was really really chewy and the naan bread was cold chewy and looked like it had sat around for about an hour.

I was Craving an Indian takeaway all day, Massala did not disappoint. It arrived before the ETA and arrived piping hot. I even got a couple of freebies. I’ve ordered from here a couple of times and have been very pleased on every occasion.

Not the best. First time ever having brussel sprouts in a biryani, and I didn't love it. The curry sauce wasn't seasoned very well at all, the vegetables in the biryani were all extremely mushy and overcooked, and the tandoori king prawn tasted like a sweet barbecue sauce, which I absolutely hated. I did have to douse the food in salt to be able to eat it, but it really wasn't great. They did give me a free poppadom and their prices are pretty cheap, but I'd rather spend more for better food.

Substituted a 2ltr (2000ml) full sugar bottle of drink with two 330ml cans of a different sugar free drink which I don't personally like. I feel this is both economically unfair and a disappointing substiution from a flavour point of view. Providing less than half the ordered volume of drink, resulting in 2 cans between 3 people. Restaurant could have checked or asked before hand but did not. Food could have been warmer and the meat was a little tough. I probably won't be using again.

I get it is valentines so expect the wait time to be a bit longer but when I placed the order the delivery time was 20:10 then it got changed to 20:35-20:55 but still didn’t arrive till gone 21:30 I also phoned at 20:40 and was told it was now leaving the restaurant which is only 10 minutes from my address.

The chicken was poor quality reformed meat pressed together in the guise of pieces of chicken meat. My Biryani included sprouts, runner beans and a few sweetcorn kernels. The salad was shredded lettuce, exactly one tomato wedge and one slice of cucumber. I'm not impressed.

I used to order from here all the time but my regular was extremely busy so thought I’d make a small order and it was so poor it went in the bin the chicken was still pink the rice was reheated and cold as it was crunchy and the nann bread was stale and all of it was cold ! In future stick to your regular or go without awful’ 😢

We ordered our food at 5pm and it came to around 6:20pm and nothing. Rang the restaurant and he said it’ll be 5 more minutes. 30 minutes had gone by and still no food, rang them again and he said it’ll with you in 5 minutes to which my partner said ‘well you’ve lied to us because you said this 30 minutes ago’ and the man on the phone replied with ‘well what do you want me to do about that’ horrible customer service and very rude. Don’t recommend this restaurant at all. We’ve had to end up getting a refund from Deliveroo as we still have no food. Absolutely ridiculous

Previous meal lovely, this one NEVER again Starters were OK. Poppadoms were either burnt or old (not fresh) Green chips..ordered madras and was mild curry heat. Worse of all I had pink, vain chicken. I do have picture but don't seem to be able to load on reviews.

Ordered the food as usual and have never had an issue with Massala in the past. I have used massala for about 2 years. The food arrived a little late but that wasn't an issue however the food had was either dropped or damaged somehow when I took the bag from the driver he made a quick exit but it wasn't until I opened the bag I noticed the cartons had split and was left with a plastic bag full of food and everything was ruined. I contacted the restaurant and was told that someone would call me back and they didn't so I called them again and was told they were sorry and would offer a full refund but I had to go through just eat. After sending emails back and forth for 3 days I have now being told I need to send pictures showing the evidence which I can't do as the food went straight in the bin.
