Great food. Good value for money and friendly delivery.

Ordered from Massala before and they have been excellent. Only this time the food was 30 mins late and the poppadoms were stale. The other dishes I ordered were very good and very tasty, good portion sizes. I will still order from here, may have just been an off evening. All in all a good, tasty meal.

Curry taste was too bad and never had the food

Normally we get a nice curry but tonight it wasn’t good. The curry’s were really watery and the yoghurt mint dip was off.

Ordered the food on uber eats, waited almost an hour, called the restaurant many times noone answered. In short, my food never arrived. Awful service.

Ordered a home delivery and never received it. Called after 90 minutes to case it up, they hung up on me. Then several attempts to call them was told it was on way. After 2 and half hours was told they couldn’t find our address and couldn’t call us cause their phone had died. This was second time using this establishment and the the first time took ages and had items missing. Thought we’d give them another chance but honestly wish we hadn’t bothered. They’re rude and still trying to get a refund

Food Food was very good, and astoundingly good for the price. Dhansak has almost no chilli in it (I like lots but forgot to specify), however the other "non-spicy" spices he used still came together deliciously. Service Food was ready faster than minimum ETA for pickup. I think that if others have had issues with this restaurant's timeliness, it has to do with the deliveroo service more generally. I ordered directly from their site and picked up myself. Fast. Hope this place does OK despite deliveroo-related rating problems. Atmosphere No dining-in option, but 5/5 as I love the two living room couches plopped down to allow people to wait as though they are in their living room (particularly me, as one matches my couch back home). The cook/operator was also all smiles despite it being a Saturday night at a takeaway, someone of whom I had the impression genuinely enjoys cooking nice curries for people. I'd easily come here again were I local.

Food as always was lush! Only downside was 2 diet coke cans sent instead of bottle of full fat (I'm pregnant and can only have full fat!) but not an issue! so much food too we didn't manage to finish it.

We really enjoyed our tkka biriyani, lamb buna, sag also, prawn dansak and keema naans. Full of delicious aromatic flavours and the naan was really soft and fluffy 👌

Arrived almost 2 hours after ordering, required two calls to the shop. Curry was watery and bland, popadom stale and the sides didn't taste nice.

Ordered 3 hours before due time in the hope it would be delivered on time. Even so it was over an hour late. All the food was stone cold. Poppadoms were soggy. Mango chutney was watered down so much it was tasteless.

Didn’t arrive although app said it had. We rang restaurant who said they were busy !when food arrived 40 minutes late it was stone cold. Very poor experience.

I always go with Massala never had no reason to moan but after ordering the last one the chicken was really really chewy and the naan bread was cold chewy and looked like it had sat around for about an hour.

I was Craving an Indian takeaway all day, Massala did not disappoint. It arrived before the ETA and arrived piping hot. I even got a couple of freebies. I’ve ordered from here a couple of times and have been very pleased on every occasion.

Not the best. First time ever having brussel sprouts in a biryani, and I didn't love it. The curry sauce wasn't seasoned very well at all, the vegetables in the biryani were all extremely mushy and overcooked, and the tandoori king prawn tasted like a sweet barbecue sauce, which I absolutely hated. I did have to douse the food in salt to be able to eat it, but it really wasn't great. They did give me a free poppadom and their prices are pretty cheap, but I'd rather spend more for better food.

Substituted a 2ltr (2000ml) full sugar bottle of drink with two 330ml cans of a different sugar free drink which I don't personally like. I feel this is both economically unfair and a disappointing substiution from a flavour point of view. Providing less than half the ordered volume of drink, resulting in 2 cans between 3 people. Restaurant could have checked or asked before hand but did not. Food could have been warmer and the meat was a little tough. I probably won't be using again.

I get it is valentines so expect the wait time to be a bit longer but when I placed the order the delivery time was 20:10 then it got changed to 20:35-20:55 but still didn’t arrive till gone 21:30 I also phoned at 20:40 and was told it was now leaving the restaurant which is only 10 minutes from my address.

The chicken was poor quality reformed meat pressed together in the guise of pieces of chicken meat. My Biryani included sprouts, runner beans and a few sweetcorn kernels. The salad was shredded lettuce, exactly one tomato wedge and one slice of cucumber. I'm not impressed.

The food is amazing and soooo tasty! Literally tasted like proper authentic Indian/bengli food! Honestly 10 10 I will definitely recommend!

I used to order from here all the time but my regular was extremely busy so thought I’d make a small order and it was so poor it went in the bin the chicken was still pink the rice was reheated and cold as it was crunchy and the nann bread was stale and all of it was cold ! In future stick to your regular or go without awful’ 😢

We ordered our food at 5pm and it came to around 6:20pm and nothing. Rang the restaurant and he said it’ll be 5 more minutes. 30 minutes had gone by and still no food, rang them again and he said it’ll with you in 5 minutes to which my partner said ‘well you’ve lied to us because you said this 30 minutes ago’ and the man on the phone replied with ‘well what do you want me to do about that’ horrible customer service and very rude. Don’t recommend this restaurant at all. We’ve had to end up getting a refund from Deliveroo as we still have no food. Absolutely ridiculous

Previous meal lovely, this one NEVER again Starters were OK. Poppadoms were either burnt or old (not fresh) Green chips..ordered madras and was mild curry heat. Worse of all I had pink, vain chicken. I do have picture but don't seem to be able to load on reviews.

Ordered the food as usual and have never had an issue with Massala in the past. I have used massala for about 2 years. The food arrived a little late but that wasn't an issue however the food had was either dropped or damaged somehow when I took the bag from the driver he made a quick exit but it wasn't until I opened the bag I noticed the cartons had split and was left with a plastic bag full of food and everything was ruined. I contacted the restaurant and was told that someone would call me back and they didn't so I called them again and was told they were sorry and would offer a full refund but I had to go through just eat. After sending emails back and forth for 3 days I have now being told I need to send pictures showing the evidence which I can't do as the food went straight in the bin.

Our new go to Indian, food was amazing and delivered like 20 minutes early, can't fault them.

App pinged saying I had received my order and I calmly called the restaurant that it was not received only to get a repetitive answer “you’re order is on its way!” Meanwhile I was trying to explain it to them that I do appreciate it if it’s running late but my order had not arrived whilst my JustEat pinged saying “Enjoy your food!” - what am I supposed to be enjoying? I was trying to be very polite about the situation only for him to rudely slam down the phone on me!

Our favourite Indian takeaway. 10/10 usually but tonight we ordered a Rogan Josh and it was super spicy for some reason and my partner hasn't been able to eat much of his dinner :(

Food very average. Mixed starter swimming in grease and worst samosas I’ve ever had. Chicken Pathia was good. Lamb Dansak was bland and lamb itself wasn’t very good. Naan was nice though. Even though great price, I’ll pay more to get better next time

Absolutely disgusted with restaurant and just eat the food was absolutely appalling under cooked chicken wrong dishes called restaurant agreed refund then just eat requested photos 24 after my request once food had been binned because I couldn’t give them these they refused my refund . Fuming

no update until it changed to enjoy your food on website, Over 30 minutes before it was actually delivered. Will not be using this take away again as the only excuse given when called was 'it is on its way and we are very busy'. That is no excuse for being over 30 minutes late on the delivery with no communication received prior to chasing up the delivery. Dont state a false delivery time just to get extra orders it is very dishonest to the customer,if you expect a 90 minute delivery time from taking the order state so on your website.

Couldn't fault the food or service from this place - great selection of veggie options, we had the Paneer Masala and the veggie Dhansak, both delicious and decently hot. Ordered on a Sunday evening just before 8pm, was told the food would be delivered in 45 minutes - only half an hour later it was delivered by probably the friendliest and chattiest driver I've ever met! Would very much recommend.

Worst Indian I’ve ever had. Under cooked food and everything is spicy when it shouldn’t be. Couldn’t eat the food so ordered something else. Avoid avoid avoid

I’m really sad to leave this review as we always have our curry’s from here and have never felt the need to complain, My partner ordered a chicken tikka Vindaloo as usual but tonight it was so hot even he couldn’t eat it and he really likes hot spicy food. The poppadoms were really over cooked and tasted stale and the mint sauce was off, it was quite sour like the yoghurt was off. The chicken tikka main only had 6 pieces of chicken in it, I think we were sent a starter instead of a main meal. Thankfully the rest of the meal was fine.

Good grief i have to say this the best balti ive had in years. Ordered before from here. To be honest add a bit to delivery times. But so good.
