This is a lovely Idian take away and one if the best in Ipswich. The staff are friendly, the restaurant part is clean and inviting and most Importantly, the food is delicious. 10 out of 10 would recommend and do still frequently eat here. (I live on the other side of Ipswich, its that good, I will travel to buy their food)

All the staff were very welcoming and nice. The food is really tasty and freshly to order. It's my go to for Indian food.

Had to lose a star for quality today. lacked taste and flavour compared to our previous order. Not put us off for another order in future.

Do NOT order from here. I ordered the mixed grill for starters and lamb biriani, but they also threw in a few dish of my choice so I went for the veg curry. I thought okay nice. But when I opened the veg curry, it had a very strange smell to it like it had gone off so I called the restaurant to tell them, and the guy who answered the phone replied back "what do you mean it's gone off" "what do you want me to do" "why did you order if you don't like it" I got angry here but he put disconnected.

Ordered a meal for 4 last night. Honestly it was absolutely delicious. So much food, easily would have served five or six people. So excellent quality and value for money. Will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again.

Great tasting Madras and freshly made pilau rice.

We ordered our food online as we have done on numerous occasions. It arrived on time. As we started to serve up our food we realised it was cold. We called the restaurant to inform them. Only to be called a liar, they asked for the food back & then hung up. Phone call number 2 we had the same response only after I asked if we could have fresh food they replied no so I then asked for a refund to which I was also told no & called a lair again. I then took the food back to the takeaway in the containers it was served in (ok it wasn't all separate & neat but it had been half served up ). But it was cold so they would of discarded it anyway. He then called me a lair again infront of other customers, & once again refused to replace my food or give me a refund..... Needless to say we will not be ordering from there again. Very dissapointed as its been our go to Indian takeaway for some years. But not anymore

We used the take away delivery service. First they delivered us food that was stone cold. We rang to inform them and the manager hung up on my wife. Then, when we took it back to the restaurant expecting either a refund, a fresh hot replacement of the food - or both. The manager proceeded to tell my wife that she is a liar, that the food was not cold and that we would not be getting a refund OR replacement food. Even had the cheek to have a go at her because the food wasn't neatly packed back up - as if they planned to reuse it! Then the manager made her leave empty handed in front of stunned people who were waiting for their food. Customer service = non existent. Food quality = inedible. Worst takeaway I have ever used. Utterly disgusted!!

Ready spot on time for collection and good quality food. Panir Gobi could have done with more panir, but overall, we really enjoyed the meal and will definitely order from here again.

I have visited Ipswich many times and have eaten in the restaurant many times and had takeout meals also on many occasions. The food is to a very high standard and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. I have never had anything but a great experience at the India Gate. I would highly recommend this business to all. 5 Star +

Both meals had no flavour, and the chicken was dry and tasted funky. After have such great curries from heat before this time I was really put off

The portion size of the "mushroom fried rice" was very poor and dissatisfied. The restaurant this as a main portion but it was a size of a side dish.

Avoid, ordered chicken korma and mixed dhansack with keema Nan, korma was dreadful, tasteless had the consistency of wallpaper paste and the naan had 2 small pieces of meat and disintegrated when picked up. Dhansak was basic and the chilli was overdone. I rang to complain about my experience and the person I spoke too was combative and not interested in the quality problems. Order at your peril

Food was piping hot and very tasty. My children and I loved our takeaway from here. We will be ordering again for sure . Thank you for the mint sauce too we devour every pot you send with the poppadoms 😀

We'd been looking for a decent Indian takeaway/restaurant in Ipswich for a long time, we accidentally came across this takeaway/restaurant a couple of nights ago and so last night we ordered our first takeaway Indian meal from India Gate, Pinewood Ipswich and I have to say it was an excellent meal, I for one will definitely be ordering from India Gate again. The Chicken Tikka was amazing Highly recommended 👌🏼

Chips were cold. Curry luke warm. Onion badji dry and cold. Not packaged well An Nan bread also dry Not great

We had the vegan korma which was the worst one I have ever had. Food was bland and tasteless so couldn’t eat it.

Delivery very quick! Food was good, some of it not to taste (inc. mint sauce and chana paneer) but that isn’t the restaurants fault! Biryani was very tasty, really enjoyable and the naan was good. Would order again!

I order from India gate often. I really like their food but they've changed recently. Last week my order was almost tasteless with prawns hard as nails. Inedible. Tonight's order had the flavour back but was delivered 50 minutes after their estimated delivery time. They are usually early. I called the restaurant and asked them to cancel the order (they didn't) and had the phone put down on me. The food arrived and most of it was cool. The naan was stone cold.

Meal was not the same recipe as usual and below standard

having waited over an hour and 2 phone calls when I was told the food was on its way I then had to go and collect it myself!!! on getting my food home 4 popperdoms were missing from the order which I had paid for. I had also paid for delivery and collected it myself😂😂😂😂. overall I was disgusted with how my order was handled and although I couldn't fault the quality of the food the overall experience has left a sour taste and as a result I will not be using your takeaway again.

I have ordered here since day one well over 20 years ago. My partner attempted to use a 25% off code last week didn’t work let it go. Raised concern tonight got told to try again I did, guess what? Didn’t work. Spoke to proprietor again got a receipt where it did from someone else put under my nose. Guess what I will not be back, I would rather pay more somewhere else

Use to get here every week for years, they always have a problem with bits left out! Like last night no onion bhajis, phone then and they were sent out.they were soft balls of don’t know what as for the main I get the same every week! I haven’t had any from November but what a difference now it was RUBISH!! Totally different taste and look different colour just loads of red chill power!! and what lamb was in it was best described as scraps!! That’s it for me! I wouldn’t order here again I used to put up with bit missing as the food was good, I always defend them when someone said it went down hill not anymore it’s went to far down hill and the prices have went way up!!
