Restaurant is no longer trading! Looking forward to visiting after having read the reviews so was very disappointed to see an estate agent’s. sign outside the premises when I was staying in Wantage on 19th July.

Excellent. The best restaurant of it’s type for miles & miles & miles. If it was bigger it would fill it with happy customers. I am 100% sure. Very good service (it was midweek to be fair) from a very happy, friendly chap, really excellent food, very good wine (small selection but good choices) and just all round very good. I would highly recommend.

Great experience (again). Lived here 6 years and this restaurant never disappoints. Meal and service really good would not hesitate to recommend.

Fantastic meal this evening. In my opinion the best Indian restaurant in Wantage. Collected a take away this evening, ready within 5 minutes of arriving, food piping hot and very tasty. Staff very courteous and accommodating, highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just moved to the area and tried Masoooms. Food was amazing, really tasty, great portion sizes and very well presented. Great service in the restaurant and very reasonably priced for the size and quality of the food. Only suggestion would be some background music for some atmosphere.

Another great meal from Massooms. We opted for a takeaway and could not fault the food or the service, or the price as usual.

Criticism ? If there is one (might not be) there were a lot of electronic noises coming from the bar where - perhaps - orders were coming in online and there were a lot of very audible sounds (like clicks etc, like keyboard sounds). I'd like to think it wasn't the staff member playing with something due to lack of dine-in customers.

Excellent meal again, have tried the other local restaurants but always return to Masooms. Paneer shashlik is so tasty!

Easily the best Indian restaurant I’ve eaten from! Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available! Food is always top notch, never had a complaint. Customer service is tip top and the staff are lovely. Never had to wait to long for a meal, delivery or collection! Recently had a meal from house of spice (regular before masooms opened) and was so so disappointed, once upon a time they would have worn the crown but masooms is the victor, masooms is king!

We visited on a whim on a saturday lunchtime for a takeaway. Despite being typically hard to cater for (vegan and a spicephobe), the staff were really helpful and friendly, and talked us through all the different options, adapting dairy out of some of the items to make them vegan. The curries arrived really quickly and were absolutely delicious, with a really diverse range of fresh, tasty vegetables. It was definitely the best vegan Indian takeaway meal we have had and we will definitely be regular customers from now on.

Food took over an hour to arrive, and the staff were extremely rude and dismissive about things. The food itself was ok but was there wasn’t a lot of meat in the dishes. The manager in particular was arrogant and showed no empathy towards his customers. He even walked away from our table whilst we were discussing where our food was. My advice would be to go to Sylethi Spice where the staff are always welcoming and the meals are served warm and fresh.

So impressed with Masooms. Really friendly, attentive and polite service, absolutely delicious food and really reasonably priced. My Dad and I really enjoyed the vegetarian banquet which showcased a perfect selection of tasty dishes with enough for the whole table to share too. We were given a complimentary side of one of our favourite appetisers, chocolates with the bill and takeaway containers to take home what we couldn’t finish. Couldn’t recommend enough. heard a lot of great Reports for this restaurant so decided to give it a go and certainly wasn’t disappointed! The meals was excellent, service was excellent and there safety measure excellent too! Will definitely go back and recommend it !

Exactly the same high standard of food as dine in. No queries at all. Only down side I would say is that delivery can take a long time (we have been quoted 1 1/2 hours but guess that must be abnormal).

Unfortunately we ordered takeaway but never tasted it. 90 minutes later if had not arrived. We did not get a refund. It is a shame as we have been trying to support local places but had to give up on this as it was so long and the kids were hungry. I think it is not right that we didn't get a refund but have not pursued as all we got were excuses and a refusal to refund. There are other good Indian and other takeaways locally that really deserve support. In fact see next revuew of one we went to.

Excellent service and food with friendly helpful staff who go the extra mile to help. A lovely restaurant which is never over crowded. Amazing freshly made naan bread. They even make Garlic and coriander especially for my son.Takeaway food is also good always piping hot and not a long wait for it. They even deliver.

As we are all stuck indoors, to hear that my favourite curry house are now doing local deliveries has given us back a well earned smile, ordered and delivered within 40 mins and got to say if I haven't already was bloody awesome, fresh succulent and just damm tasty- well done !!Do note they do prefer cash...

We have takeaways from Masoom's fairly regularly and have never been disappointed, we ordered a delivery and the food was just as excellent. I was advised when placing the order it could take up to 90 minutes, they delivered in just over an hour. We enjoyed each dish and will be definitely ordering again. Thanks to all at Masoom's for continuing to provide excellent service during Lockdown!! stay safe

We ordered a take away dinner tonight and absolutely loved it we had madras and korma it tasted amazing the Korma was nice and creamy! We will certainly be ordering again in the future. They where incredibly busy tonight but worked amazingly well under these circumstances. Great customer services. Highly recommend.

Fantastic meal from Masooms last night. It was delivered while keeping a very safe distance. Really fresh tasty curries - as always. Having been cooking all week in self isolation it was a proper Friday treat to get a takeaway. Thank you to the team at Masooms!

Popped in a couple of weeks ago with my daughter to try out the lunchtime menu and had to say that we were pleased as the food was lovely and the service was very good.

A group of 14 of us descended on this restaurant for the evening and sampled a fair selection of the extensive menu. It did take a fair time to arrive but all was freshly cooked and delicious so the wait was definitely worth it! The staff were helpful and attentive without being over-bearing. A really good experience - definitely recommended.

A friend picked up a takeaway for us , I had the ginger chicken (apologise as I do not know the correct name)Food was better than previous but the portion is biased towards sauce, it only had 5 pieces of chicken and therefore did not seem good value.

Me and my partner came here on Tuesday evening. It was quiet, as a restaurant during the week is, but we were not the only table. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and shown to a table. The waiter offered to take our coats and lit a candle. Our drinks order was taken promptly, and so was our food order. We ordered two chicken tikka masala’s, a garlic naan, and the garlic chicken rice. We even ordered Bombay potatoes half way through the meal which came within 5-10 minutes. The food was absolutely amazing! When my partner finished his drink, someone came straight over and offered him another. You get loads of sauce with the masala so make sure you order plenty of naan to mop it up with! Our plates were cleared quickly after we had finished. We were brought over warm hand wipes, and then the bill. The bill came with two After Eights’s and two Ferrero Rocher! One of the waiters even walked us out and held the door for us. I cannot fault a single part of our evening! Thank you for giving us exceptional service and delicious food!

We just had an amazing lunch deal here for just £10 each for two courses. The samosa starter was so crisp and packed with veg. The sweet chilli jam so delicious. The pakora and mint dip tasted amazing. The service was great and well worth a tip. The main chicken korma melted in the mouth and the lamb curry tender and packed with flavour. It was served with plain basmati and a peshwari naan; the best I have ever tasted; freshly made and cooked, crisp and soft with a lovely coconut filling and garnished with my favourite cashew nuts. We had food left over which they kindly boxed up so we even came away with a take away bag. I feel quite blown away by the value and quality of our experience. The restaurant was empty on this Saturday lunch time which made the experience even nicer. A lovely early Valentine meal ❤️ Thank you Masooms. Truly excellent!

I've noticed the last couple of times I've had a takeaway from here the taste of the food isn't what it used to be. Had Chicken tikka masala and the flavour wasn't great. Very disappointing as it used to be my favourite.

I went with a party of 4 on a Tuesday. It's was a very quiet night. Waiters we're very attentive. We ordered 4 starters each as our main meals like 'Indian tapas' it was really tasty and we were completely stuffed.

We were off to a concert so it was an early dinner. I'd reviewed Wantage in TA and noted a few recommended places. Difficult to get a good curry in our little village in New South Wales so this was to be a treat. Cannot fault the service, from the attentive waiters, the linen...so nice to see, and the place was warm on a bitterly cold night. Didn't have time for starters so I had a lamb passandra and the wife a duck cashew dish, both with some pillau rice and a few popadums....with accompanying sauces. Her meal was excellent and a dish I hadn't seen before. The passandra....well, a case of two opposites. The sauce was exactly how it should be, the lamb had retired on a pension long ago and wanted to stay at home. Pity...it spoiled what could have been excellent. On departure I told the manager and, to his credit, he was straight into the kitchen to tell the chef....don't know if it will make any difference but full marks for attention. Oh, we had a couple of beers too...reasonably priced. Overall I would recommend the restaurant...apart from my lamb, it could be excellent.

just returned from another fine Indian dining experience. Friendly greeting is followed by great service and food at this Indian. Great choice of dishes including fish dishes and appetisers, especially their specials, are all well worth trying. Highly recommend Masooms.

I have be truthful and say that I haven't eaten in an Indian restaurant for quite a long time. I have a quite a bad nut allergy so I tend to avoid them for safety's sake.

The restaurant is modern, clean and well-run with a good variety of dishes on the menu, including some unusual speciality dishes. My food was excellent, though the naan bread was a little bit too small and perhaps a little doughy. Though I was the only person in the restaurant, the staff didn't go to any effort at all to make we welcome, though were professional.

A sophisticated restaurant with a really lovely ambience. Excellent tasty food and great service combine to make a special eating experience. The menu is extensive and all food arrives piping hot served by attentive staff. Would definitely recommend.

As a previous reviewer and frequent customer of Masooms, I’ve had to review again. As someone who has become used to a five star service every time, it is clear that the service is no longer the same. Now, its service has diminished drastically in comparison to what we were used to. This, I believe, has a direct correlation to the change of ownership and\or change of front-of-house staff.

Visited Masooms for my 40th Birthday with the family, the food and service were phenomenal..... this was not my first visit I am absolutely a returning customer and yet again I wasn’t disappointed huge efforts were made to make the day special Thankyou so much for having us and the food as always was delicious no matter what I choose (always try something different) I always without fail leave the restaurant happy and full of wonderful food ........ and my incredibly fussy children ate everything! Thankyou I will be back again..... highly recommend to anyone that wants an amazing meal with great service

The food is out of this world, best curry I have ever had (and I’ve eaten quite a few curries in my time) the service was brilliant and the relaxing atmosphere added to an all together awesome evening. If your out in wantage this is definitely the place to go .

Five of us met up for a meal at Masooms last night. A couple of the group had never eaten here before but will certainly be returning again! We opted for the Super Banquet which was amazing! The food just kept coming! The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. If you appreciate great traditional Indian food this is the place for you. I can highly recommend Masooms for a great night out. We will be back again soon.

The food is always great but bizarrely today we asked to split the bill two ways and were told it was impossible. We queried this and were spoken to very rudely. Apart from the lady, the staff were rude throughout the evening. We will not return again.

Returned to Masooms again for a night out. There were 9 of us this time. Food and service excellent and the staff were very helpful with choices and suggestions. A great restaurant for fans of good Indian food.
