Masons Arms in Solihull

First time visiting. Nice atmosphere, staff were quick at serving me and food came out at a reasonable time. I had the fish and chips and a cup of tea for £8.25. good value for money. I will try and pop in again to try something else on the menu. Thank you. Keep up the good work. The only thing I didn't see was a kids menu. Was thinking about bringing the family next time.

Enjoyed a lunchtime meal here today. It was busy but you ca n always find a table. Food was good (scampi & chips and a pizza) Service was quick.

Mid afternoon visit - relatively quiet. Good choice of beers. Pleasant decor - some what church like with mainly wooden floor and furniture.

Nice place with nice food and staff. Only thing is music is a bit random hardly knew any songs. Lots of tvs showing a few different sports.

Had a wonderful time booked in for a catch up sessions with some old friends great service and incredible staff. They gave us a lovely section around the front where we were able to talk and have our own bubble to hang out in and the service on the front bar was wonderful

When my family and I had visited the masons we had been served by Nick, he was very polite, chatty and had served with efficiency. The food that we had was excellent.

A multi generational family breakfast for 18 relatives. Great food, service and value.

Excellent service, value for money. No lock on disabled toilet door, it's been two weeks and still not repaired. Excellent breakfast, fast service, lock has been replaced on disabled toilet, thank you.

Myself and my family went to the masons arms for breakfast this morning and the service from the blonde haired lady was fantastic, really friendly and welcoming. We had a full breakfast each and it was lovely .. we really liked the sausages they tasted really fresh. Will definitely come again

Derrick provided us with great service and all the staff are generally so friendly. The food is always good and so cheap compared to everywhere else in Solihull especially when your feeding a family. I love its old world interior which helps create a great atmosphere.

Happily spending loads of money on nice drinks and food whilst listening to decent music and enjoying the atmosphere because all the football with the booming commentary, that you can barely hear anyway, had finished… Then they put on Bournemouth v Arsenal because one person asked. We’re in the West Midlands, not the south! Play music!

One of the most disgusting service and felt very uncomfortable

I used to love it hear not any more the guy behind the bar was great could n9t fault him and they lady that brought the food over was so lovely but one member 9f staff ruin the experience all together. Went to ask for a take away box before I even opened my mouth she told to go else where I sa8d all I need is a takeaway box and she told me to go somewhere else. Then when I asked for her name she decided to raise her voice and told me she not rude. Not the best experience and put a real downer on it

Great food, great prices. Drinks menu doesn't have prices for some reason but they're cheap anyway. Definitely recommend 👍

Always a lovely warm welcome and Anne always looks after my mother in law and takes the time to chat and make her feel welcome. Food is great and we come every week.

I came to Mason‘s today after finishing College i didint want to go to McDonald’s? So I wanted a drink and some food? I ordered the pepperoni pizza and I really enjoyed it. It was excellent. I was served by Ben. He was very nice and friendly, the kitchen team who cooked it Ollie and Jodie I told him the pizza was really nicely and they’re very very grateful. I had a lovely day and I always like The masons and I will be back ❤️👍🏻👍🏻

we booked a space for a gathering after my friends brothers funeral and I just need to say a massive thank you to Anne for making it so lovely she was a star from the minute we walked in the service was 10/10

This is the first time we have been to this pub, and although the pub is great with lots of screens, our experience was ruined by a member of staff. The behaviour of a tall blonde member of staff working in the afternoon on Sunday 25th August was unacceptable. When we arrived I ordered 2 pints of Madri. The above member of staff served me. After pouring a 1/4 of the pint, she muttered 'change the barrell' and walked off. Came back after a few mins and then continued to pour the new barrell into the same glass. This immediately rendered the pint flat. I asked for it to be replaced, no acknowledgement and then poured another. Fine. Then.. I realised the pub were offering a free drink to sign up so I did. Went back to the bar, same girl served me. I ordered two drinks. The code didn't work.. I was told it had been used! This was not possible, it arrived 10 mins before I tried to use it.. but clearly a fault with the system meant the code couldn't use. The way the girl managed this situation was awful accusing me of having used it before. So two wasted drinks. Then.. my partner went up to and in arrogance the same girl poured thr same two drinks again(for us) not realising that her colleague had served!! So another two wasted drinks. She then stormed in the kitchen banged a few things round and disappeared. So as a result of such poor service and the attitude of this one member of staff on 3 occasions was unacceptable and resulted in 5 wasted drinks overall. Finally we were watching the F1 with commentary in just the one section of pub we were in (the rest was showing the football) but then a group of locals obviously requested the sound be switched to the football. Irrespective of us. So didn't feel particularly welcome and won't be returning.

Very pleasantly surprised on walking in here. Huge pub very well decorated with ample seating inside and out. Drinks reasonably priced, food looked good but I didn't have any. Atmosphere is good, music on top plus TVs around showing live sports. Worth a visit if you are nearby. Best pub in solihull.

Working away in Solihull for 4 weeks and popped in a few times, just for a beer (although the food looks banging- will review when I've tried it). Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the beer is on point. Evidently a well managed establishment. Clean & very organised. Calista is an absolute asset! The lady never stops and is always so welcoming and chatty. Only place I'll come for a decent beer in Solihull. Thanks so much to Calista and her team for always being so lovely and making me feel so welcome! 😊

Had a great afternoon here. Sat in the garden, couple of glasses of wine, chilled. Fab. Thanks for quick service. Only negative comment is please sort out your ladies sanitary bins. I told two different members of staff today that there was an issue and nothing was done in the 3 hours we were there. Have some pride!

Great value place for breakfast or lunch in Solihull town centre. Appetising choices be it full English breakfast or superb fish & chips. Lovely friendly courteous staff. Great value lunchtime menu. Thanks as ever to Annie - always a joy to see you.
