Having ordered at 19:20 via the scan and app on the table and paid for 6 meals and a round of drinks costing nearly £130 , the drinks promptly arrived but that’s it , we waited over 1hr for the food to come out and when the food arrived it wasn’t worth the cost , place was so hot it was making me feel unwell, if you’re staying on the camp there is better and cheaper places to eat not far from the site

On leaving the show bar I went to the gents toilet and also a member of the Mash and Barrel staff also went in. He went into a cubicle and did his needs. Once he completed his left.the cubicle and as I was finishing drying my hands using the hand drying machine he walked straight out without Wasing his hands and I watched him go straight in to the Mash and barrel kitchen area.... Never ate in there again during our stay, no hygiene standards obviously.

Went for breakfast yesterday with family, wish I hadn’t bothered. Vegan breakfast had things missing and seen as wait time for food was long didn’t want to complain. My traditional breakfast wasn’t nice at all, bacon over cooked and egg undercooked been ill ever since eating there to the point iv left my holiday early , and no I didn’t bother to complain because I just wanted to leave this place and get home. The price for what you get wouldn’t fill a child up. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Shame on you, it has put us off coming back to haven at littlesea!

I just wanted to thank your restaurant for providing a fantastic menu for coealic diease people like me. I had the chicken and bacon burger with fries and gluten free cheesecake. It was amazing and so nice to be able to have something diffrent as not many places accomade gluten free. A massive thank you and thank you for such a quick service and friendly staff. We will be back next year.

Where do i begin staff are so undertrained wait times are ridiculous went out with family for food there’s arrived first one hour since we got there then another 20 mins for ours by that time they had finished. So was not impressed food was terrible. The staff just seem like they don’t care all moody and rude. Managers do not train the staff so they get no help. I think haven should get rid of this restaurant out of the facility or at least give proper training to staff. Have been questioned about a bill when asked to have a refund because they did not have one. The staff member tried to argue when the bill he gave me was not ours. I am absolutely appalled by the service I have gotten today

On arrival my husband went the bar and was told table service only!! Omg 20minutes later we are waiting and my husband complained, we were told dont worry the outside bar is opening and you can get your drinks there, thinking oh we can get them ourselves, wrong!! Waiting, waiting, terrible service, would be much better to get your own drinks, still living in Covid times, although the lager has much improved its really overpriced and lacks atomsphere, shame as it was a good place, hope it improves, food is far too expensive but if you are willing to pay you must have more money than sense!!

The food was so bad my child would not even eat it. The £18 burger was over cooked and bun was hard. The salad was about £1 if you went to the coop next door and the kids food was so dry and inedible. For the price of food we were very disappointed with what we got. Ultimately this is a pub do not eat there it’s not worth it.

We did use the Mash and Barrel restaurant a couple of times and the food was very good although the menu was predictable and mostly fried. The bar was a little disappointing in that the condition of the real ale was cloudy and still sold cloudy for 3 nights even though it was mentioned to one of the bar supervisors.

Have been coming to Weymouth Bay for years, evening meal tonight was a Birthday meal for my Wife's 55th Birthday. Took 20 minutes for our "Booked Table" eventually had to ask to order our food, waited 45 minutes for starters. Had to clear our own table. When our mains eventually arrived, orders wrong, food cold. Granted we only paid for what we ate including a 15% discount but the night was ruined. Will never eat here again and to be honest do not think I will stay at a Haven again.

We went to this restaurant (if you can call it that) for dinner. Unfortunately for us we didn't check trip advisor first. Food wasn't nice, clearly microwaved some of it, some staff need more training, no one collected plates from starters through to pudding, had to ask for them to be cleared. Asked for our table to be wiped down and they went to give us the cleaning products to do it. Absolutely over priced for the poor food you get. (found some beautiful pubs with with beautiful food for the same price). We ordered steaks, asked for blue & one medium/rare and the server had no idea which was which and just guessed. Definitely wouldn't go here.

Ok for those happy clappers that flock in for a governmental discounted meal for £10...probably best to keep your reviews to yourself in such challenging times. We went to the Mash and Barrel for breakfast today. First class service for this kind of establishment and the food was as advertised, served promptly and reasonably priced...I’m afraid people that leave bad reviews when it’s clear the business is gearing up to cope with demand need to understand for all business this is a challenge and as such should probably keep their negative views to themselves in such difficult times. The staff on the floor would have been acutely aware of the operational failings and as clearly demonstrated today they are back in top of their game.

Having read previous reviews around slowness of service ect we thought that since last year maybe things had improved as we was staying on the park we thought we would give this a try......I understand that they are a busy holiday park and have a lot of guests however the service is painfully slow and with children it can be a challenge to occupy them. We ordered a normal family meal with a sharing starter.Firstly it took 20 mins to be acknowledged we was sat there to order some drinks.3 x orange squash, 1 x bottle of cider and a Gin took over 20 mins to arrive at the table.We also ordered the food had a sharing bowl of nachos which took over 1 hour to arrive at the table (think they went to Mexico to get them), it was at the point where the kids where straving and kindly a younger waiter asked if we would like our mains also after seeing our daughter upset. To his credit he went out of his way to get our food to us.The food itself is average but what you expect from a holiday park restaurant.You are expected to wear face masks going into the main complex area where the restaurant is located, however within the restaurant itself no staff members where seen wearing gloves or masks, food and drinks are put straight on your table. (Compared to other restraints we eat at on holiday wjere specifc tables are sent aside form food and drink to be placed and collected) The only sign of any social distancing was the stickers on the floor, I assume for a health and saftey tick box exercise. Customer service is at a minimum the only time we saw our server was to order and to pay the bill. I would have been Nice for them to explain the delay and I would advise order a couple of drinks each when you sit down as its impossible to order more as you don't see your server!It would appear that they have not learnt from previous review feedback which is disappointing.If you want an actual evening to enjoy yourself and not keep wondering when your food and drinks will actually arrive I would suggest eating off site somewhere else. The park itself is fantastic and I would return but will ensure reservations are made elsewhere off site.

Went in another day in the hope that it was just a one-off, queue half way across the room just for the bar and people complaining to staff about their food. Walked out in the end. :(

The service is terrible there. You have to wait a long time to get your order even when there aren't many people in the restaurant. The food was dry and almost burnt. The tables are rarely cleaned. Long waiting times at the bar as well, staff sitting around chit chatting, while a long queue of customers forms.

Where I do I even start......We went for the carvery so grandad could watch football and relax, I went to look at the carvery to see what was on offer, greeted by no one the carvery options looked old and unattended. Broccoli, carrots, Swede & cauliflower from frozen cooking under the heatlamps.The "roast" parsnips had been fryer cooked not even crispy left to go soggy with no attention.As for the roast potatoes aunt Bessie would be turning in her grave if she knew what they did to the roast potatoes let's just say inedible.We thought there might have been a saving grace with the pudding, I had ice cream as safe option, grandad apple crumble & my partner the marshmello melted brownie.The assistant manager delivered our desserts, the crumble was burnt on top most likely the mix was cooked in the magic box topped with crumble mix and someone forgot that it was under the salamander, the apple and blackcurrant fruit was that wet you could drink it.My partners brownie was inedible to the point the AGM had the cheek to argue that it was okay and she could account for every member in the kitchen doing there job 100% and all the products were in date, the brownie was sour and absolutly vile. The crumble was refunded but wasnt offered a replacement and the AGM said she wouldn't refund the brownie as she said it was a quality product.There needs to be some attention to detail here as the past 2 visits we have noticed multiple staff messing around more interested in having a laugh then looking after the customer, no check backs have been done on the mains on both visits and I can understand why people would not complain because what's the point in expressing your point if they just simply dont care. if the holiday park wasnt there this place would have been shut down long ago.

We arrived half 11 looked at the menu saw that lunch started at half 11 so we decided what we wanted the place was almost empty so not exactly rushed off there feet . We went upto order and was told food would not be started to be cooked till after 12 ( nothing in the menu or written anywhere that lunch would be at a later time ). When the lunch finally came at 12.48 the meals came with the absence of a side salad for my daughters child meal . Mine was ok luke warm at best, and my wife's tuna cheese melt came and the tuna was cold and the cheese only just melted .I would have said something at the time but trying to find one of the many staff would have been ridiculous because they never are around when you need one . We gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back for sunday lunch , how hard can it be to do veg and meat gravy and yorkshire puds . Oh how wrong was we hard to pic from the meats all over cooked and dry , veg sparse from choice and all cold , and Yorkshire's no where to be seen . When we left they still didn't have any . All I will say is this will be last time we use this mash and barrel it's an absolute shambles . People who visit this great caravan site need a far better place to eat than this we unfortunately wont be booking to come back next year as this has put us off . We will be looking at going somewhere else up the coast .

We ate here 3 times whilst on Holiday and was quite disappointed. The first night was a Tuesday and the restaurant was fairly busy. We ordered our food and was told it would be about 40 minutes but this turned out to be an hour and ten minutes. When the food arrived it was like warm and average at best. As it was busy we decided to try lunch a couple of days later and it was a lot quieter but alas the service was once again incredibly slow. It took an hour for 4 baguettes and a jacket potato. On the Saturday my son and I decided to go and watch the football in the bar and sat down with drinks. At half time we decided to get another drink and I went to the bar and waited 20 minutes for a Pepsi and a pint of beer. The final straw was on Sunday when we decided to try the carvery. Surely this would be ok as everything is ready? Oh how wrong could we be.We went at 5pm as it finished at 7pm and the bowls were virtually empty no Yorkshire puddings left and only turkey or pork left. When we asked for Yorkshire puddings we were told there were none left. Bearing in mind they had 2 hours still to go I think this was very poor. Haven Holidays you need to seriously look at this as it your reputation here. I know you are part of the same company that owns Butlins and having visited Butlins several times I am surprised you allow this to happen in an organisation like this.

Love coming to littlesea and spend most evenings in here although the food is very nice they're no prepared for high season and always running out of food, kids meals are good but make sure you ask for there free drink and side salad which comes with there meal as otherwise you won't get it, it's a lovely atmosphere and the terrace is beautiful on a sunny day. The only real thing that was annoying is every time we had to clear and clean our own table as the poor staff are rushed of there feet at times, I would not say don't go as is it a lovely place and the lager has very much improved and you are allowed on the terrace with your dog which is great, overall we've had a fantastic time and can't wait to return.

We kwamen na een flinke reis aan bij dit park en besloten om niet meer op zoek te gaan naar een restaurant, maar bij Mash and Barrel te gaan eten. Mijn man bestelde aan de bar en er werd gezegd dat het wel een halfuur kon duren voor het eten zou komen. Dat halfuur werd een dik uur. We hadden 2x een mixgrill en 2x een hamburger besteld. De hamburgers waren compleet zwart aangebrand. (Eigenlijk hadden we het eten terug moeten sturen, maar na een uur hadden we toch wel trek.) Het vlees van de mixgrill was heel erg taai, was ook veel te lang gebakken. Al met al zeer slecht en teleurstellend. We hebben de rest van ons bezoek aan Little Sea dit "restaurant" links laten liggen. Gelukkig zijn er in Weymouth en omgeving genoeg andere gelegenheden.

Arrived on our holiday to find only things I. The vast menu were burgers and chips but you don’t know that until you have stood in a long line waiting to get to the bar with only 2 staff working. Headed straight the Mash and queued for about 20 minutes at the bar. There simply weren't enough staff on. We then waited around 45 minutes for the food. The portions were small, the kids meal was really tiny. So small we went and bought more food from the shop after. They also had no lager on draught, so had to buy the more expensive bottled lager. The outdoor seating area is really nice on a sunny day/evening. On the plus side, our breakfast was excellent. Once again, service was fairly slow and if you hit the bar at the wrong time expect to queue. With so many better options within a short distance, I would only recommend the Mash and Barrel if you can't be arsed to drive elsewhere.

We ate twice in this restaurant on the park site and food was good and great for children with a good choice. Not cheap but would expect these prices on a park. Better value than the chips from the park chippy. Staff were friendly. The only down side was we had to wait a bit but we were warned on both occasions as to be fair it was very busy.

It’s a good family restaurant. You can eat inside or on the deck. There is a wide range of choice although nothing much changes year on year. Good for people with children. Prices are same as anywhere. There is a bar as well.

Had food there tonight (12/04/2019) 3 people, and basically the steak was dry and the Diane sauce very bland. Steak n ale pie full of pastry and mash potato cold ! And the meat share board not tasty and basically rubbish. When we said something to one of the workers she said she would go and tell the chef and didn’t hear a word back was totally ignored so whether she had a word or not I’m not sure. Also asked for tabasco sauce the lad didn’t know what we meant but went and asked the chef that also got ignored ! Very poor food at high prices avoid ! Won’t be going there again making to much money for poor quality food

6 of us including my disabled sister-in-law visited Littlsea for the last week of the season and went to the Mash and Barrel for our Sunday lunch. There was a sign on the way saying that there was a limited menu because it was last week of the season. Which in my opinion is fair play. The food we had met our expectations and was nice enough. Efforts had clearly been made to adjust dishes to keep them on the menu.

It was our last night at Littlesea so we treated ourselves to a meal at the Mash & Barrel. There was a long wait as the restaurant was incredibly busy but the staff were very apologetic but when the food came it was well worth the wait. The burgers were tasty and well cooked and the chips were piping hot. The meal was so filling that we couldn’t manage a pudding.

Decided to go for a lunch at the Mash and Barrel. The only menu on was the carvery which is fine as that is what we wanted. £9.95. Went and queued for ages and eventually got to the counter where we waited again. Finally we were asked what meats we would like maximum of two meats. Once the meats were plated we were told more veg would be out in the next 15-20 minutes. Not acceptable when your meat is going cold and have already been waiting for 20 minutes or more to be served. Asked to see the manager who took his time and about 10 minutes later he approached us. Was giving what felt like a sob story about being short staff with two chefs off. This shouldn’t effect the service of veg preparing and getting it out. Before the veg had come out out meat was cold so handed it back and asked for fresh. Finally fresh veg and was able to sit and ate. Took an hour from the start of paying to get a carvery. This isn’t the first time they have done a carvery so don’t know why it was bad service and couldn’t be the first time they have been short staff. Food was hot, carrots was like bullets and couldn’t eat these. We were refunded three of six meals back. Need better organisation

Last year, the workers at this branch kept making one of my drinks wrong. This happened around 3 times. The photo of the drink was brown as it was chocolate flavoured but I got given a white drink that tasted like nothing. I gave them the drink back and told them that it was wrong and they proceeded to gaslight me and tell me that they had made it right. I then stopped going there until a few weeks ago when I ordered the same drink as back then and they gave me it wrong again. I gave it back AGAIN and then they told me that they had made it wrong. I appreciate the honesty but the service I received a few years ago has really put me off going back until now.

It's situated in the middle of Bridport with plenty of parking nearby . It is convenient to the harbour and antique centre . however, it is a pleasant place to sit in but not ideal for a business meeting. The menu is limited but OK for a quick snack
